I love the hotel. My only recommendation is you should include the breakfast buffet. Most of the hotels by the university include the breakfast buffet. Overall I love the hotel.

No housekeeping for 4 days. piled up wet and dirty towels. Bed not made. Trash buildup. Ran out of toilet paper and coffee pods. Had to go down to front desk 3 times for towels, cups and then toilet paper. Asked desk 2 days in a row to have housekeeping come and freshen up the room. Never came by

Location was great. We were looking for something close to OSU campus and this hotel was convenient. Staff were friendly and check in was easy. Hotel common areas and room was very clean. It was a busy weekend at OSU and the hotel handled to influx of people well. Would book again here

The property is well kept and parking well lite.

My in-laws live a few minutes away and this is one of our go-to hotel locations. We always have a pleasant stay here.

Easy check in check out , clean , quiet area !

I was very happy with our stay. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The only issue I had was that there were no free breakfast options and it was not made entirely clear upon check in. We were told the breakfast times, which made it seem that it was included. I was told when I went down to breakfast that it was a $9 minimum and is ordered off their menu. I just would have appreciated this information from the beginning. I also thought it would be even more accommodating if there were continental breakfast options offered complimentary and then bacon, eggs etc for a cost. I was happy that there was coffee.

It was good. The breakfasr is a little too expensive for the quality. Other chains serve the same for free. I've paid less for a room with breakfast. You did offer free coffee, but it was usually empty. The room was good. Clean. My husband is disabled and the ADA amenities worked well. Wheelchair space and bars/seat in bathroom.

We started for 2 nights. After the first night, we saw that someone’s window had been smashed. This is a known problem in the area (break ins) - every time I stay in the area, I know of someone whose window has been smashed. Do not leave anything valuable or anything that looks like it may be valuable in your car. I wish the hotels would come together to offer overnight patrol. BC they do not, it continues to happen.

I always stay here for the Ohio State Spring football game. It is such a great hotel.

Absolutely awful

The room was not clean, especially the bathroom. There were stains everywhere. There were hairs in the towels. The pillows and beds were the worst we have ever encountered; we had two sleepless nights because they were so uncomfortable. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at.

Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Staff was nice.

We were in Columbus OH for a funeral for a family member. The staff was very caring and helped us in any way they could. The rooms were neat and clean. The hallways were quiet at night. It was an enjoyable stay under the circumstances.

I really liked ten staff, cleanliness and that food was close by to fill our bellies from places that aren’t available where we live.

You have to pay for meals, and water separately. Continental breakfast is not free...

Great Experience

Very nice property. Elegant. Clean.

Bathroom walls were yellow and gross. Shower was rusty and old. Chocolate stains and crumbs on chair as soon as we came in. Room was 80 plus degrees and was way to hot upon arrival.

same as before - for better or worse

I used to frequent the Hilton Garden Inn in the past, and I recently returned there, and found the hotel pretty much the same. The double queen bed room was spacious and clean, but with some visible wear and tear. A noisy fridge that I had to disconnect, the same cheap coffee maker and microwave that have seen better days. The gym definitely needs an update. Overall, still a fine place to stay, but there are many new alternatives in the area that I may try next time.

Two glitches in an otherwise good stay

We've stayed here many times. There were 2 glitches this time. (1) The 2 lights above the shelf between the beds did not work. (2) The alarm clock in the unoccupied room next door went off very early. There was no one to turn it off. I have told the desk clerk before to have the maids turn off all alarm settings, but that policy apparently is not being universally followed.

Hotel and stay we're fine...breakfast was odd...

My father had an appt at Riverside hospital and we had to be there by 7:30am so we drove to town the night before and stayed here. Getting checked in was a breeze, the room was very nice. We went down for breakfast and there was a sign that said seat yourself and breakfast was $8 and up. Fine, I have zero problem paying for breakfast....but you could only serve yourself basically the cold food, if you wanted bacon, eggs, waffles or whatever you had to order them from a waiter. We asked for 2 orders of bacon and I think we probably got most of a pound of bacon between the 2 of us. It was setup like a buffet but all the hot stuff was covered up and only the waiter could get it. It was a very strange experience.

The staff was friendly from check-in to check out. Our room was probably one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have visited.

Columbus Trip near OSU

We enjoyed our weekend trip in Columbus. The hotel was convenient for our activities at The Ohio State University.

Convenient location for OSU football game. Probably could have walked, but grabbed an Uber to High Street. I would stay here again.

Expedia does not interface with their booking

Clean and good service but the internet was terrible even with Hilton Honors and the beds and pillows were the most uncomfortable I have come across.

Check in was quick and staff was friendly and helpful. Clean room and comfortable bed made my stay enjoyable.

Strange smell on the property

Quiet and clean, close to the university. Breakfast is a little different with a sit down restaurant but we had tickets for a free breakfast.

Room was updated King with a ton of room. Bathroom was large as well. Check in and check out Service was quick. No chit chat, just down to business, which was fine. Hotel was clean and very spacious. I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast or other food on property so no opinion on that. Very nice and comfortable stay.

I didn't like being double billed and having to fight with 6 different people to get a credit. AND be told it was my fault which was not it was an error from front desk. They didn't understand the third-party authorization form.

Wonderful stay at Hilton Garden Inn

Had a wonderful stay here while I and my wife were visiting our Son who is a student at OSU, Columbus. Had been staying here the last 3 years, and will definitely stay here during my future visits as well.

We needed a hotel close to the airport. The hotel is fine. Our bathroom shower was gross. The room was fine.

Told I could still stay at property with Covid. Absolutely insane.

We stayed in Columbus for a Joe Rogan show. Hotel was comfortable, super clean, and within walking distance from the Venue. The staff was awesome and super friendly.

Convenient for what we were doing

nice comfy rooms, huge parking area, 2 mi from buckeye stadium, restaurant inside and right outside is a great Bob Evans diner. quick and easy to drive around columbus from there. very friendly staff who knew my name day 1. lots of buckeye and notre dame fans there for that weekend game!

Good. The only issue we had was the lack of food options that were open. We came back to the hotel after a concert and were not able to find food options nearby.

Wouldn't stay again.

Front desk person was just okay. Dress was pretty unprofessional (red hoodie sweatshirt. Possibly the same one when I checked in on Friday and checked out on Sunday). The room was good except for what appeared to be black mold around the caulks on the tub. Absolutely no fan for ventilation in the bathroom. Only three bath towels for two people for two nights with no hooks or towel bars to hang them on in order to reuse. Over half of the cooler for drinks in the cantina was empty. No juice options except V8. Plenty of beer though. I've stayed in HGI's all over the country and this one, by far, was the worst. Definitely not worth the price being charged.

Shower area the paint was coming off wall. Some stains on carpet. Beds are fabulous
