Not everything was working.

The heater and the keurig did not work. Thestaff were very helpful to find me a other room, but i had to do without coffee. Why doesnt the staff check to see if things are working properly ahead of time.

What I didn't like was you pay for breakfast that wasn't to good at all,the cook was coughing and wiping his nose and face with a lil cough with no mask,and in his phone at the same time,my omelet was not cooked properly all my vegetables were not sauteed and he put tomatoes in my omelet when I didn't asked for them and don't eat them

One of the washcloths had a earwig in it and the one sheet had an ink stain. Other than that it was clean. Front desk was very nice and helpful. No vent in the bathroom. Very close to shopping and food.

Our stay at the facility was very good. A few things did stand out though There were a few long black hairs in the tub I noticed when I went to take a shower. Also noticed no hair dryer available. Other than that, things were fine

Kitchen Staff needs improvement

Everything was great except for Carlos in the back of the kitchen!! Wow, fire this guy. He clearly hates his job! Why work back there if you are upset that you have to cook food for other people. Attitude is annoying! Definitely need training on customer service

Pictures lie. The lobby was drab. Nothing like the photos on the website. The front desk clerk was not at the front desk but was at the breakfast bar and was seen putting something in his mouth. No one to help with checking out. Our room looked nothing like the photo and the view from the window was a view of a homeless camp just on the other side of the privacy fence. The restroom in our room smelled of urine, and there was a dark brown stain under the sink. When I used a towel to wipe the stain with my foot a yellowish brown stain was left behind on the towel. Not sure how long this particular Garden Inn property has been open. It did not look like it was undergoing a remodel. But it seemed more devoid than usual of artwork at elevator stations and in the corridors to the rooms. Coffee stations and bottled H20 were great. Did not see the usual lobby carafes of water (w/fruit). Gym was adequate, although it could have used a half-Bosu ball and mats / exercise bands.

Peacefull quiet

Room was ok. It had been “updated” with paint, but you could see the rust/water damage in the bathroom like it had been painted over. Ac worked good in the room, hallways were hot. Breakfast looked nice but we did not eat it. Front desk lady was very nice.

I asked for a first floor and was told we had it. When I arrived they said they did not have one available. The gal on the phone told me that she gave me a first floor. Her English was not good so she may have not understood the request.

We had two rooms during this visit.The staff upon arrival seemed friendly enough. The person that checked us out on Sunday seemed indifferent. I told her that I was not happy and she quickly moved us on. Our rooms were not ready upon arrival at 5:30pm. on Friday. They were ready twenty minutes after we arrived. My mother's room was nice. I'm not sure that I had fresh sheets on my bed. The sheets were not tight like you expect. The sheets would not stay on the corners also. That was most aggravating. Kind of a peeve of mine. We stayed two nights. Our rooms were not cleaned between nights. We were out of the rooms for 12 hours Saturday. There was plenty of time to refresh them as advertised and expected. Coming back to a fresh room is one of the perks of paying so much to stay at a hotel versus staying at an Airbnb. I don't like dumping on the hotel and I know it's hard to staff a large facility but you asked. I did expect a better experience from Hilton.

Disappointed in Amarillo

We brought our dogs and really did not expect the room to smell like a wet dog. We stayed in four separate hotels on our trip and this was the only one that stunk. The pool was not heated… or warm at all, and the deck surrounding the pool was very slippery. We picked this one for my husband, a stroke survivor, who enjoys a swim because his balance is awkward and he can stand up easier in water. Not a safe environment for him or anyone. Dinner…. We seemed to be only ones who ate there. Probably because they were out of near everything we picked. The best part of dinner was the bartender/waiter. Super nice, attentive and made sure we got refills and brought the kids their food first.

Could be more spacious.

The room size, bed, and AC were very comfortable, however, the bathroom was tiny, and very hard to manage in as a big & tall person. The bathroom door and shower door went into each other, meaning I always had to have the bathroom closed when using it. There was also barely any amenities in the room, such as bar soap. I had to buy a bar of soap at Walmart which shouldn’t have been necessary. Overall, it’s not bad for the average person, but it could be better to accommodate everyone.

For the most part the stay was great. The pillows were very small and square shaped which was weird. The bathroom was out of Kleenex and had half used lotion. The shower pressure was good but the tub didn’t drain so you ended up standing in a couple inches of water. In the morning the maids tried to open our door 3 times while we were getting dressed before we checked out. There was no privacy card to put on the door.

Our room smelled like bleach we had to turn off the air conditioning & pillows needed to be replaced.Refigerater wasn’t working. Floor needed to be cleaned. We weren’t offered water at check in. Over all will not stay there again..

The cable for the TV didn’t work. The guests on the floor above were very loud.

Won’t be going back

Service was trash. Got in early from a long road trip and asked if there was a room available and was told room won’t be ready till 3 as the previous night was sold out. Then when I get to my room it clearly hasn’t been used at all. It was like 85 degrees, the fridge was turned off and the nightstands, desk and tv were all dusty. Just say I can’t check in until 3 or pay an extra fee to get in early. Don’t lie. Definitely won’t be going back. I know how this works, I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 24 years. So the place and service is trash.

Mediocre hotel

It was a mediocre hotel. The doors were difficult to open and close. Disappointed in the breakfast, I thought it was included but it was $10.95 a person for a typical hotel spread that you’d find anywhere else. We didn’t get it, as it would have cost almost $60 for our family, which is just ridiculous. Outside smelled strongly of (what I’m assuming) dog poop in the grass when walking to and from your car. Inside was clean, staff was friendly. Overall not the worst hotel, but wouldn’t be my top choice to stay in again.

Rude, Unprofessional Employees - Beware!

Stay was ruined due to rude, unprofessional hotel staff. Traveled with my 83 year old mother to see a family member now in a nursing home. Simply needed a convenient, low stress, comfortable stay. When ordering breakfast (no posted menu), politely asked a simple question about options and received a shockingly rude response. The second night we returned to the hotel to find a very large truck and trailer blocking the entrance. I couldn’t get around it in my small car to park. It had been there 15+ minutes before I went in to tell the front desk. I approached to find the front desk person talking to the driver of the truck (another employee). They let us stand there for several minutes before even acknowledging us, he then walked off, and the front desk employee rudely said - “he’s moving!” She then proceeded to argue with me when I pointed out the rudeness of responding that way to a paying customer. Guessing this place has management that doesn’t care if employees are rude to customers. Will be staying elsewhere in the future!

Property was fine but they had problems finding my reservation and only having an automated contact was not helpful. Travelocity should give out the Hilton reservation number

We had a minor delay checking in. Our room was not ready. But we were checking in at approximately 3:10 pm.

The bathroom door hit the toilet. Not enough clearance. Poor construction. The fruit at breakfast was not ripe at all. A little below average for us.

Great stay, great hotel

A weekend getaway and this was the perfect place to stay. The room is large, plenty of space and it was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Big shower with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The staff were always pleasant. The check in was quick and easy. The hotel is right by the mall and lots of restaurants or fast food places are right in the area. We plan on staying here on our next visit.

Not a typical Hilton experience but okay in a pinch. The hotel feels dated and overall has a non well lit slightly run down vibe. The morning breakfast cook is unfriendly as hell and the morning breakfast is mediocre, coffee is lukewarm. I’d recommend a different hotel option if you are in the area.

The only thing i didnt like is the curtains are not dark at all. It doesnt help if you like the room dark to be able to sleep earlier.

They dont clean rooms daily. Disappointing. Coffee cups and coffee in room but no coffee maker. Go figure.

We were happy that we picked this place trusting the name “Hilton” despite very reasonable price. Room was huge and clean with larger than 40” TV and bed was very comfortable. We are planning to stay here on the way back home.

The people who work here are wonderful, great service. This is our second time staying here and actually it was better this time. The only bad thing is that the rooms have a tired feeling. There are stains in the hall carpets from what looks like bleach. I think they were there last time. Some of the furniture in the room looked very used. Paris would not approve. 😞 We'll stay there again cause we got a good sleep and the people are wonderful.

Passing through Amarillo

On our way to the mountains and needed a place in Amarillo. The Drury across the street is always packed with kids and dogs. So we went with this place. It kind of tries to be a more modern looking place but it’s age makes that a little diff. The shower in the bathroom kind of says it all. But it’s a decent place to stay for the night. Kind of pricey considering you have to fill out a W2 just to get the free Wi-Fi and the breakfast is not complimentary. But I will tell you this, it’s quiet. It is so quiet. Minus the kids and the dogs it is a better option than the Drury if you want a peaceful nights sleep. We’ll stay there again when passing through, but just wanted to leave an informative review.

Couldn't reach toilet paper from stool. Towels poorly located. Bathroom door will not fully close without hitting stool. Extremely low toliet.
