Only complaint would be that the bar staff is incredibly slow…… like nearly 30 min to get a drink.

Nice welcome and room was pleasantly large. Fridge and coffee/tea was welcome (though not stocked so reliably). Breakfast was great, even when busy. Staff super helpful when leaving very early (4am) for flight. Room view was nice and enjoyed the Dom!

A Hilton property is designed to create extremely challenging stays for its guests. There is no easy slanted pathway with luggage. I had to lift up heavy bags multiple times on stairs and uneven levels. Not a single property in Belgium can be approved for use with this condition.

Great hotel with very friendly staff who take care of your every need. If you go to Cologne for the Christmas markets, you are a 2 minute walk to the biggest one at the Cologne Cathedral.

Room was clean and had good amenities. The only issue I had was with the air conditioning. It kept cutting off as if it was set to auto.

The accommodations were great! Big room and very clean, location was perfect about 6 min walk from the Cologne Central Station/Cathedral and very close to many restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this for someone looking for an easy, reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location.

My flight to Cologne was cancelled and I couldn't get to Cologne. Still charged full price on room and when I reached out to hotel and left them a message about this issue they never responded to me.

Very conevenient to the train station and subway as I was doing a few day trips from cologne. Room was big. Breakfast had a really good selection and included a cooking station where you could get fresh omelette cooked to order as part of the breakfast buffet.

Nice hotel within walking distance of everything in old town. Beds and pillows were hard and not very comfortable and parking was extremely difficult, but overall hotel was very nice. Employees were very helpful and pleasant.

I'd stay here for the breakfast alone, but this is my go-to hotel in Köln. A block from the station and easy access to everything.

Best thing about this hotel is location. Main train station is literally past the taxis and around the corner to the right. It would take longer to load taxis than walk. Main hotel area is very nice. Rooms however could use some updating. Ours had water damage on the wall and the pillows are terrible! They are so thin sleeping was uncomfortable as every hour we had to readjust flat pillows. There was also a musty odor coming from the shower drain. At times it was so strong when you opened the bathroom door it permeated the entire room. Overall it's not bad, just didn't measure up to other Hilton properties I've been to.

Toilets from parking lot were dirty and I found a shoe from someone else under my bed. Staff from the bar is not polite, when we arrived they made angry faces and said they closed at 12:30 when normally closing hours are at 2:00 am, price of the parking lot is INSANE €75 for 2 nights and room service food was cold, I ordered something and it was more fat than meat and breakfast they forgot my coffee so I had to call to ask for it.

Great location, close to the Dom and main railway station. Staff are excellent — friendly, and really try to make things work. Parking is rough. The hotel lot has small spaces and does fill up, leaving you to find something elsewhere.

We stayed at the Hilton for 2 nights. Our rooms were cleaned and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect location.

Enjoyed the Family room (two joining rooms). The rooms were sizeable and well appointed. The hotel is perfectly situated to see all the main sites near Alt Stadt.

Very nice hotel, very close to main Cologne Train Station. Unlike many train station, this station is clean and safe. Although, there are still some homeless and beggars. Bed was very comfortable! Couple of issues, guest rooms are far from reception desk. They should have placed conference rooms further away instead of guest rooms. My bathroom was very tiny, maybe because they placed me in room right next to elevator. As such elevator probably took the space away.

We were only there for one day / night. Very convenient. Located in the heart of it all and conveniently walkable to everywhere we needed to go!

Check in was so easy and all of the staff were extremely friendly. I did not opt in for the breakfast initially but we did decide to have the breakfast the day of. It was so good! Huge buffet with many delicious options. The Bloody Mary bar and mimosa bar were quite a treat

The hotel was most accommodating, from check in to check out. Staff were super friendly and resourceful. The room was very comfortable, and quiet. Location is primo to old town and train station. We had excellent breakfasts at the hotel, wide selection of items, and staff were helpful with preparing my omelette and encouraged to take coffee to go. If our hotels for the rest of our journey through Europe are even close to the Cologne Hilton we will be very happy!

I assumed that Hilton keeps the premises at high class, but this hotel is old and a bit smelly. The rooms are not well isolated and the sounds from the corridor or somebody’s walk in the corridor reverberates inside the room. I am disappointed to pay a price for a high class hotel but getting a very average room and old hotel.

Excellent venue for our stay in Cologne

Excellent Front Desk and Room Service. Maintenance of room was terrible. We are late sleepers . After a few days of absolutely no maintenance we mentioned it to the front desk. The maintenance showed up that day. They did not return again. There was one tiny overflowing garbage can, and our recycling water bottles were everywhere. I don’t really care about my bed being made, but the lingering trash was unacceptable. Also, I don’t mind reusing my towels, but I was there for a week and after our one visit there was only one hair towel. That is too long to keep reusing the same towels. Didn’t appreciate having to ask the desk daily for toilet paper. The day after my jet lagged partner arrived, they kept banging on the door to fix some simple screw issue. Give me the screw driver. I could have done it myself. I also reported a bottle of body wash detached from the wall. I was told maintenance would come to fix it. I don’t really care, but they never came then. Hope it’s fixed and refilled for the next guest. I would stay there again, not expecting much from the maintenance team. I imagine if you are an early bird, you can expect your room to be clean. If not you’ll have to nag the front desk everyday.

This hotel is at a great location. 2 mins walk from the Cathedral which is out of this world. Hardly 5 min walk from the train station. We went there for Christmas Market and the main market was 2 min walk. Big and clean rooms. No complains at all.

Rooms were large and very nice. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bedding was comfortable and had a modern decor. Shower was very good. We did have quite a walk to our room which was manageable but I would definitely request a room closer to the main area. Apparently they were having some staffing issues with the kitchen/restaurant which forced us to find another off property place to eat. After a long day sightseeing, we checked several social apps for recommendations and had good reviews for our hotel restaurant. Walked back and we were directed to the bar. The menu was scant and the atmosphere not quite what we were looking for. We left and had to find another place to eat. The next day, a staff member told us there was a staff issue and they didn’t know when it would be resolved. Nice hotel, nice rooms, nice staff just not reliable food service.

Would Gladly Stay Again

This is a fantastic hotel in a fabulous location. The room was large, clean and cozy. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was extremely easy to navigate from the hotel and the area around it was safe and walkable. Massive bonus points for underground parking. The whole experience was very convenient and easy.

Parking deck was full, but the location is close to the cathedral and the Christmas markets.

Pigeon post restaurant service was horrible. Waited 2 hours for dinner. Hot water was out for almost a day. Steamroom was out most of visit. Snarky front desk staff could care less. We stayed here every year pre covid for 10 years for Christmas marts. After this visit we will never stay here again. One of the worst experiences ever.

Heating and water

The heating system is not good enough the fancoil system is old I think and need maintanence. The water pressure is also not enough
