Modern hotel housed in a well maintained old property. Excellent location for all the sights and close to Kapana with all its restaurants and bars. Highly recommend

Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Breakfast was lovely.I could not ask for more. The location was exceptional for walking around Old Town,Kapana, and the pedestrian walkway. I would recommend this hotel to everyone wanting to go to Plovdiv.

Perfect find in the old town

One of the best places I have ever stayed. I know that not a lot of guests read the information the hotels put in our rooms, but this one is worth reading. There are recommendations for local restaurants, which me and my partner did try and could not fault. If anyone is interested in the history of the house you can find a lot of interesting information about it on the last pages about the building of the house and its history in the past. The location is perfect, as it's located right between Kapana and the Old Town of Plovdiv. The staff were very friendly and although there wasn't any parking available in the surrounding car parks, the staff were able to find a space for me on the street in front of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and shower was good. Me and my partner liked it so much that we decided to stay an extra night. Despite the fact the room we had booked originally was taken by other guests for our extra night, the staff were able to find another room for us. Since they weren't sure when the guests from the our new room would depart, they offered to help and take our luggage for us from the old room and place it in the new room so we don't miss out on anything from our plans for the day and wait around. The breakfast was very tasty and with lots of various dishes, fruits and beverages. Overall me and my partner were very happy and pleased with the hospitality of the team in HillHouse Plovdiv.

Good location

Great location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Hotel is located on a quiet street and free street parking available every time we went. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. When we go to the city we keep booking this place if not available than we have a second option near by this location.

Comfortable room, great location, good airco n much appreciated as temperature well over 30C for some of our stay. Receptionist recommended free local walking tour - do take at least one: they're great! Decent tips on those expected if (but only if) you can afford it. Have good walking shoes.

The hotel is lovely, tasteful, clean, quiet, and very centrally located. Staff were extremely helpful and accessible, and made everything easy, from our (late) check-in to our transport onwards. The nicest hotel we stayed in in Bulgaria!

It is hard and rare to find a gem like this. Clean, modern with authentic touch, wonderful staff, comfortable beds and cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was also great with lots of healthy options and some local sourced fresh produce. Staff were extremely kind, helpful and friendly, check in was easy and well organised. Overall a ten out of ten, I would come back again!

Perfect Hotel. Large rooms, very clean, bright, attractive, good bathroom and efficient shower. Air conditioning very quiet and effective. Staff very helpful. No garden but very near Bars and Restaurants. On edge of Old Town.

Beautiful place to stay

I never change my hotel at the city’s I am travelling this time I have decided to change and it was a good decision the place was fantastic and the breakfast as well . If you visit Plovdiv you won’t be disappointed if you book to stay here .

A very nice hotel but a touch noisy if windows open. Inadequate milk for coffee.

Wonderful warm and friendly hotel.

Two nights in February. Prior to arriving I had made contact with staff who arranged a pick up from the airport. Nothing as too much for them , very friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfect located just inside the pedestrian area of the old time and less than 2 minute walk from the main bars, restaurants area too. Anyone going to Plovdiv I would happily recommend the Hillhouse hotel.

The hotel is well located. The room given matched our expectations and request. The breakfast was good and sufficient. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved our time there and would recommend it.to anyone.

The hotel is located in a traditional building on the edge of the old town. The interior is modern and our room, on the third floor, was very well designed and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the staff friendly and efficient. Staying in the hotel allows you car access to the old town for parking which is free, but it is on street and the roads are narrow. Wasn't a problem for us, but something to be aware of. All tourist sites are within a 15 minute walk from the hotel, so it's an ideal base for exploring Plovdiv.

A great B&B in Plodviv

Great location in the old heritage town. The B&B is a beautiful historic house with modern rooms decor and a great breakfast included. Friendly staff! Best value fir money for this up market B&B.

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The service, location, cleanliness - everything. If you’re in Plovdiv in the future, I would recommend you stay here at Hillhouse!

This is our favourite hotel in Bulgaria, we stayed for 4 nights in September 2023. The location was perfect for exploring the old town. The hotel is extremely clean and well presented and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We would definitely stay here if we visited Plovdiv again.

What a wonderful stay. The hotel was beautiful and ideally located for old Plovdiv and the restaurant areas. The receptionist was exceptional - she even moved her car so we could park more conveniently. The whole experience was fantastic value for money.

One of our favourite hotels

This might have been one of our favourite hotels during our eight week holiday. The hotel is perfectly situated: right next to the old town and also the lively restaurant area. Our room was large and spotless, the breakfast was large too, and the staff were charming.

Perfect friendly guesthouse

Lovely guest house in a great position. Staff very welcoming, gave us free upgrade to a suite on top floor which was really lovely. Couldn't find any fault with cleanliness or decor. Will definitely come back again. Town surprisingly pretty and hotel on edge of old town so main sights easy walking distance.

Wonderful hotel experience. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice views to the city of Plovdiv. Location is perfect. You can walk around and enjoy all the famous local spots. The only negative thing was the hardness of the beds. It did cause some back pain. But overall great experience!

Stylish hotel in a great location!

Helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is in an excellent location, it’s easy to get to all the major attractions in Plovdiv. Everywhere in the hotel was very clean. The decor in the room was modern and stylish, whilst the outside of the hotel maintains a traditional charm. The room was well designed and had everything you might need during your visit to Plovdiv. Good attention to detail. The breakfast was of a good quality and very tasty, however it was the same every day. Some variety would have been nice but this is just a minor point. I also loved the big pieces of wall art which depict places of interest in Plovdiv, they should be in every room! Overall we loved the hotel and will visit again in the future.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel.

Outstanding hotel right in the middle of Plovdiv. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The room was super comfortable and furnished with all the amenities one could possibly want. The breakfast was good with lots to choose from to satisfy any appetite. Suavi (the owner) is super nice and helpful with things to see and do in Plovdiv.

Positive Surprise in Plovdiv!

Usually when I stay at a hotel in Bulgaria, I’m used to it advertising X stars and actually being 0.5 to 1 star LESS than that. This is the first time I’ve been so significantly surprised in a good way. I think this advertises as a 4 star when really this is a 4.5 to 5 star hotel. Awesome breakfast, awesome location, super friendly staff, beautiful hotel. If I was forced to pick a con it would be no elevator and you have to find free street parking (neither of which were an issue for us). If you are staying in Plovdiv Old Town, this is your hotel!

AMAZING HIGH END PLACE close to everything!

What a gem! Beautiful, super clean place. Great taste in decor, quality amenities. Customer service above and beyond. I'm on my 3rd night here and I'm so imoressed and glad I booked this place. Great job at running this place and keeping it amazing! Plus this is 5 minutes walk from the Ancient theatre and 3 minutes from the ancient stadium! Can't get better than this!

The bad is too soft and the blanket is in very low standard. The aircon was set to cooling only couldn’t switch it to hitting so we turned it off and we found ourself freezing during the night.

Hill House is located in the beautiful Plovdiv Old Town. It is a modern hotel with bright, clean rooms, air conditioning, wet-room style showers and it’s own restaurant for breakfast. I appreciated that the hotel called me personally to let me know how to access the hotel as I had to check in very late at night. The breakfast is nice, although I’d appreciate a vegan option on the menu. The staff are really nice and it’s a comfortable stay in a modern style motel.

This hotel was impressive. Small boutique type hotel with a modern feel. Super clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and was excellent as you would expect from this hotel. The owner cares about his clients. He makes sure to check on everything personally. All staff was helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely Plovdiv Hotel, perfect location!

Very friendly welcome and excellent advice on the area from Slavi. A special mention to Boris, too, who was also very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect - right between old town and Kapana - and couldn't have stayed in a better place. Hotel recently renovated and very comfortable and clean.

The property was newly uprated and modern in an older style exterior, very appealing! However the real plus is the staff from especialy Swavey to Boris and Daisy and all the rest that contributed to a family atmosphere. We had seven nights there in October and I could find a month very appealing.

The guest house is old mansion with Avery pleasant court yard at the front.Swavy the manager/owner is very welcoming and friendly. The only downside for me is that in the wet room everything gets wet! There is no where to hang towels or clothing which gets wet.

This was a terrific experience. It's a small place, like a B&B, and the staff is only there during the daytime, but the building seems brand new, it's in a beautiful location in the old town, the people were super helpful, and it was very affordable. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place that I would highly recommend. Very new, spotless, and well organized. The owner is on the premises and goes well out of his way to help. The room price is less than the quality of this establishment deserves.

Very favourable accommodation!

Great value accommodation. Clean, modern and friendly. I doubt any hotel in Plovdiv offers nicer rooms. Give the place a go! Just don’t take a taxi.. always trying to over charge!
