If you're looking romgo to Masada, this is the one and only place that is walking distance. It serves its purpose well. Just know that if they have groups of kids, they can be very noisy, especially while eating. Also, they have no staff to ask questions at night. So ask all your questions about access to the trailhead during the day. The entrance is right opposite the entrance to the hotel parking lot but its easy to miss when its dark.
Lots of kids running around till 01:00 in the morning.
Convenient
Great location to visit Masada. Breakfast was very good. The only issue we had was when we returned in the evening, we had to wait a long time for someone to open the gate to let us into the property.
The hostel at Masada was perfect! Simple room that was comfortable and clean. They informed us with a simple sheet of instructions, in English, about how to access the ruins. We rose early watched the sunrise over the Dead Sea and we’re back down in time for the included buffet breakfast. We even had time to use the beautiful pool,
Great night before the Masada sunrise climb.
Very good overall. We lost power at some point around 9 pm due to very high winds, but the rest was absolutely fine.
great location to travel
Almost like typical hotel. Spacious rooms, only basic breakfast, nice pool and excellent location to Massada NTL
Amazing
I enjoyed it so much. Great location. Nice staff. Clean rooms. My girls loved the swimming pool
Nice place but keep your VISA handy.
Usually, if I book a room in a hotel and I have a visa, I am exempt from the VAT. Here, everyone was required to prove they have visas to be exempt. My son's ( a minor) visa was lost and they charged me an extra 17% for VAT.
perfectly adequate hostel
Perfectly adequate Hostel for the Dead Sea and Masada area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Local attractions are easily accessible. It is all you would expect from a youth hostel in terms of accommodation, comfort and food. No complaints
Basic but good
Good option if you look for price and convenient location Breakfast is good Room was not nice, basic Bathroom not so clean Bedsheets and towels ok Is a basic hostel for large group of people Don’t expect a cost, warm place Dinner for extra 62 shekels is very good
Right next door to the Masada centre. Very convenient. It’s a,so great to have a pool in the complex.
My private toelet was filthy and I was charged $60 more than the price I was given on Expedia at the time of reservation. However, it is in good location (especially if you're planning to watch the sunrise from the top of the mountain). the staff was friendly and breakfast exceeded expectations.
Rooms not as clean as they should be. Great pool. Great access to Masada. Good mattresses. Very poor and inadequate breakfast.
Disgusting stay
Our stay was horrendous. The room we got given was very very basic and there was blood on the bed and in the bathroom walls. We eventually got moved. But then the key to the new room didn’t work - the service guy was very helpful and friendly but the reception staff was very rude when we told him about the issue and even when we said the key wouldn’t work. He was also very unfriendly when we checked in. Dinner was below average. The vending machines with snacks in them were all out of order - Masada is very remote and there’s nothing there so it’s very crucial that the vending machines work! Clearly Masada hostel has a monopoly in the area and they don’t care about their guests or the quality of the rooms!
I loved the location of the property. You can't beat walking out the door and entering the park at Masada. The facility is in good shape and the pool is very nice. Now for the bad. The pool, although great, is open from 8am to 6pm. It's stays got all night, so why close the pool when there is nothing else to do. Then the pool opens at 8 am but we need to check out by 10am, so we got to use it for 15min after checking in. The room wouldn't get under 19c and if didn't feel that out cold. The beds were ok. We bought the budget for dinner and it was not very good, but not surprising for a cafeteria. Breakfast was ok. Front desk staff was ok. Not super helpful, but it may have been a language barrier. Overall, if you want to be right at the door of the park for a sunrise hole, it was very convenient. Otherwise, we ate lunch at the EIN gedi hotel and that was a lot better. But you'd need to drive 15 min. Also EIN bokek is 10 min south and had many hotels as an option for a day trip to Masada.
Good quality rooms, close to Masada, amazing breakfast!

Ansprechende Architektur, Sehr sauber, phantastische Aussicht, reichliches Essen, lebendige Atmosphäre

Great hostel, great location, thin walls.
We were pleasantly surprised having never stayed at an HI hostel before. Check in was easy, the room was simple but perfect. We loved that the shower, toilet, and sink were all separate so our family bathroom time was more efficient. There was a basketball court, large pool, and outdoor green space available - great for kids. They allow you to use the shared spaces after check out as well. Pool towels were provided. The only negative was that the walls were very thin and people were outside playing with kids and yelling until well past 11pm. We put our kids to sleep at 8 and it was loud for a while.
