Very poor
Building is not we’ll maintain. Body wash bottle was empty. Mirror light in the bathroom not working. Someone finally went to fix it, not working again two hours after. Pool with no towels. When asked for towels for my room, housekeeper said there were none in the laundry.
I would not stay at this hotel again
Friendly staff and quiet stay even though facility is showing some wear.
Thankful to have a bed to sleep in.
Excellent for the price!
Not enough parking. A truck and a car blocked the front. Coffee and breakfast was good. Room was clean and bed was comfy. I wish all hotels would give you decent pillows instead of 4 tiny ones. Also the reason for the low rating the electric didn’t work no lights no power so had to change rooms. When you’ve travelled all day that is unacceptable. Front desk was good about it tho. Second room worked. But the tv remote was hard to figure out but we did. So all was well.
Upon arrival there were two cars under the canopy playing very loud music. We arrived at 8:30 pm and this consisted until 2:00 am. We called the front desk and all they said was they would ask them to turn it down and that didn’t happen. I would NEVER stay here again or would I recommend it to anyone. Very frustrated!!!
Hotel has an unreasonable refundable damage deposit ($150) in addition to the room charge. A dog in the hotel barked all night, the HVAC was noisy and the tub had rust. I suggest avoiding this property.
So goooooooood
Evening front desk, staff seem to be a little preoccupied with other things then taking care of guest they seemed a little rude didn’t want to be bothered. Swimming pool is very boring. Only goes up to 4 feet. However, rooms were spacious. They was comfortable. Breakfast was very good overall a stay
Good stay
Unsafe place
It's terrible hotel and needs to be shut down!!! Hampton inn should be ashamed to put there name on the building! We had a late check and had multiple issues. The first room ...the toilet didn't work. So we had to change rooms, this was after midnight. Second room, the sink faucet and toilet seat was loose and the cable on the TV didn't work. We had to call the front desk up to fix the problem. We was waiting by the door for the elevator and heard a women yelling for help. She was stuck inside the elevator. The hotel needs to get inspected and shut down. It was the worst experience I ever had. I expected more from Hampton inn.
Rough night
Ants in room. Toilet did not work properly. Neighbors were fighting and banging around ALL night. Waited to talk to manger when they arrived in the morning. Manager lied about being manger to avoid dealing with issue.
Columbus soccer weekend
Place was great and friendly service too! The cook is amazing, she is fun to talk as well.
The bed was sagged in the middle. Spent the night rolling to the middle of the bed. The ac was making a lot of noise, enough to wake me up on and off all night. The staff was ok. I reported there was damage to the room. The door stopper was smashed in to the wall the over night guy did not seem to care about it. Over all not a great night stay.
Needs a refresh on facilities. Great breakfast.
Room and breakfast were good. A little problem being billed at check-in for a room that was already paid for. Straightened that out before checking out.
They over booked several people waited for rooms but the staff made sure we had a place to stay that night
The hotel and staff were horrible. We didnt have enough towels for the whole family to shower and asked for more and they told us it was only two per room even though we checked in with 3. We had to share towels to be able to bathe. After finally receiving extra towels two days later they were stained and didnt look clean. There was a chunk of hair in the bed upon arrival. Asked to speak to a manager because we no longer wanted to stay there and they never called back. All around terrible experience that we checked out early. Still never heard from the manager. And never received a refund. All around unhappy with this and the kids were disappointed and upset vacation was terrible.
Absentee staff “out of towels”
When we checked in, the room we reserved was not available, so they switched us to a different room. There were no towels in the room. Staff persons were unfriendly and hard to find. Staff persons were texting on their phone and ignoring me while I stood directly in front of them. They eventually told me they were out of towels. Other guests told me that their rooms also did not have towels (or pillow cases). What kind of hotel runs out of towels? A terrible one.
Falls short of expected Hampton Inn standards
Disappointed. When traveling we always feel confident going with Hampton Inn. It’s always clean, comfortable and predictable. This hotel fell short. Obviously understaffed, with a computer system that was offline when we checked in, an elevator that didn’t work, an air conditioner that sounded like a freight train. The poor staff is left to apologize and scramble to make things right.
Disgusting
Bed wasn’t made when I checked in late in the evening. Front desk didn’t offer to make the bed or change rooms, instead sent up sheets for me to make the bed. No towels in the room. Requested single king, got two queens. Ice maker on floor didn’t work. Elevator was filthy with food and drink spills on the floor. Other guests smoking right outside exits so had to walk through smoke to get in/out of building. Distinct smell of marijuana coming from some rooms and from people smoking in parking lot.
Not a good deal for money spent
The place was not clean. Hallway smelled like there was a smoking party going on. Carpet stained and shower tub will give you chills with rust and water not going through the drain quick enough. No vent in shower and paint pealing off the ceiling
ok.
The area has a lot to be desired. Staff was excellent, so polite and helpful.
Second floor reeked of marijuana. Our room didn’t have enough towels and supplies like shower gel were empty. Carpet was disgusting and dirty. I’ve stayed in dozens of Hampton Inns that were just fine, but this one was awful.
Very nice breakfast buffet and staff...nice clean rooms
Bed in room was the most uncomfortable I have stayed on and I’m not picky. The pillows were comically small and flat. Comforter has stains (I hope it wasn’t just unclean). Bathroom walls were peeling. Toilet had issues from the moment we arrived and got to the point it wouldn’t flush. Staff unclogged it but didn’t clean it. Had to ask for fresh towels our second day. Our third day they took our used towels and didn’t give us any clean ones. Breakfast was decent for a continental breakfast. Pool room was very hot, but the pool didn’t seem to be heated. There were no towels in the pool area. Our room keys deactivated (this apparently effected all keys) and we had to go back to the front desk to get replacements late at night. No do not disturb sign is provided.
Breakfast was great. Some areas need some attention, e.g. a vertical board next to the tub was loose and stuck out a little at the bottom, the fridge was coo, not cold, and toilet handle stuck. Speaking of which, one can read a magazine through the toilet paper!
Staff was great. Had to ask for Towels . No conditioner in shower . Air Conditioner had occasional loud didn’t Tell desk because we were not there long enough and didn’t want someone in my room
Clean room
The hotel is hard to find. They need signs on the street because it is behind two buildings. The area is sketchy looking but our car was fine overnight. The bed was not very comfortable but the room was clean. The breakfast wasn’t very good .
Dirty hotel, bathroom needs lights, burnt, rooms has ants, disgusting
Great safe location. Excellent room.the staff was very nice . Would definitely stay again!
Everything was great
Great service and room
Offe pot had some kind of gross mold growing in it where you put the coffee !!!! Showed it to the guest services desk person and they apologized and that’s it ! Just struck me as not really surprised at it or concerned !
No TV
Great staying in
I called several times before we left to double check if there was a crib on site. No one answered although the Expedia website states that they had them available. We had to purchase a pack and play because they did not have them like stated on the website. There was a storm and the window leaked terribly. Not just the window but water was pouring down from the side of the wall next to the window, right over the air conditioning unit. We had already unpacked everything and set up our newly purchased pack and play and with a baby with us it was too much of a nuisance to repack everything and move rooms. I try to stay at Hampton Inns when I travel and this was the worst experience I’ve had in terms of the building condition.
Room was very clean and comfortable, staff was friendly but fire alarms kept going off at 6 am and waking us up after a late night concert. I understand these things happen.
I was charged a $250 fee for “stolen/missing or damaged item” that wasn’t my fault. When I attempted to contact front desk about the problem nobody answered the phone or was at the desk. The room was dirty when I arrived, the whole second floor smelled like marijuana. Will not be staying here again nor will I recommend anyone to do so in the future
Great location great environment from the staff
Friendly & kind and very welcoming front desk gal! Nice breakfast included hot items, like scrambled eggs, sausage, ect We arrived to a room with no electric, they switched our room immediately. But then the elevator went out. Walking the stairs hurt, because of a bad ankle. Maintenance man was off duty.
Very nice place but pool needs to get cleaned often. And a suggestion of adding apps like Netflix or Hulu on TV that residents can log in on to their accounts. Staff are very responsive and helpful
I enjoyed how everything. What I didn’t like how loud was the people next to my room I had a hard time fallen asleep and this continued until 3 am.
It was the Hilton. I drove 3 hrs from Detroit to Columbus, Ohio To go to a funeral. It was hard to find the street & a sign to let people know that the hotel is in the the small dark Street. I booked it through the Afterpay app, but when I tried to checked in..I was told they have to hold $150! Luckily I had it. No where anywhere on the app or inside the on their desk. Was there a note saying anything about the extra $150.
Close to Freeway, Plenty of Restauraunt
I got double charged for my room because I booked through Expedia. First time in 3 years that this has happened. Front desk lady acted like it was normal. I did get my money back but I don’t appreciate not being told before booking that they’ll charge you twice.
This is the second time I stayed here and both times the elevator is out. We had to insist on a ground floor room. Breakfast was good.
Nice furnishings, updated, oleasant front desk staff
The elevator was broken, the showers were cold, the pool was just shocked and staff said to wait only 30 minutes before getting in. The water was so cold that no one could use it. The fitness room smelled like cat urine and was not useable. Some staff were rude while others were nice.
At check in, we were told the elevator was just then out of service and if we like could wait in the lobby till fixed to accept a room on 3rd floor, however there was no functional elevator to date of check out and that was extremely disappointing as we were having trouble with getting to the 3rd floor room on foot! Honest information would have helped us make informed choice at the outset. Also, no restaurant on site was inconvenient to say the least. Would not recommend.
Worst hotel experience of my life
Everything was broken, elevator didn’t work, pool out of service, shower curtain broken, stains on the floors, bathroom door doesn’t close correctly and there was a car in the parking lot blasting music from midnight until 3 am.
Decent
Room key card kept deactivating daily
Room was not cleaned after first night stay, rrom keys quit working twice during stay and hotel front desk attendant could not be found for 10-15 min
Very disappointing
The front door was broken so had to be left open 24/7. I took a stairwell and saw another exterior door that didn’t close. The furniture in the room needed cleaning- dirty upholstery. There was coffee & a coffee maker but no sugar/ creamer. The sheets didn’t seem like they fit the king size bed The staff was very kind and seemed frustrated with the condition of the hotel
Very helpful staff
Driving home to PA
Hampton Inns are pretty consistently good, but this hotel is a little dated. Bed was fine, but not amazing. Bathroom needed washclothes (front desk fixed us up), out of shampoo, and faucet was very loose at sink. Pretty quiet room and breakfast was fine. No real issues, but guessing this property is older compared to peers.
Never again.
ROBBED! We arrived after a knee surgery, only to learn that the elevator and pool were both out of order. They could have called us before we drove 3hrs to get there to warn us but they didn't. We couldn't get to any of the available rooms because of the broken elevator and obviously after a surgery couldn’t use the stairs (and the kids didn't have the pool). The front desk agent, Meridith, told us (at check in) that we could cancel our reservation and look for another hotel in the area without being charged. So, we went to find another hotel that had working elevators. They charged us the following morning anyway. After speaking with Annette, who told us the GM was on vacation and promised to call hotels.com and refund us herself, we felt relieved. Annette never returned our calls after that and we were not refunded. We were completely let down by this brand and will not be returning to any of their sister companies. We feel mislead and robbed. This was false advertising at the least and we deserve a refund!
Clean and quiet
My stay was unsatisfactory
I was not happy when I checked in and found out the elevator is not working and the Wi-Fi is out. Yeah I paid the same price for my room as though they were working. Also was charged $75 for each of my two dogs which I did not expect. I think that’s a bit pricey, the other hotels I stayed at was $25-$50 per dog. I was going to use the Keurig in my room for coffee in the morning, but when I raise the back put the water in there was mold inside the coffee pot. Staff was very kind and helpful.
Terrible stay
The elevator was out of order, we could not come and go as we wanted for health reasons due to walking up and down stairs, There was no internet working. We needed bedding for our pull out couch. The clerk that was working on Friday Aug 11 at 9 pm told us that "she wasn't walking up and down the stairs, if you want it come and get it yourself".
Elevator was down, wifi was down. They gave us a room next to starcase, doors slamming and people running up and down all night. Bathroom was only partially cleaned. At this time I have no descent recommendation for this property.
Good
From the time of check in, our experience was very poor. The staff was overwhelmed and understaffed and was not kind to myself or other guests. Our room had a strange smell, the smoke detector was beeping and multiple lightbulbs were burnt out. I asked the front desk staff to address the issues multiple times. Finally, a maintenance worker came and replaced light bulbs and took the smoke detector off the wall and never replaced it. I felt this was very unsafe and neglectful. The property is decent and has much room for improvement but staff was not helpful.
The elevator was out and staff didn’t care. The Wi-Fi was out and staff did nothing. Staff just said it’s temperamental and it happens.
Not a Hilton....KEEP DRIVING.
This is NOT a Hilton brand. Nothing about this hotel is Hilton. Please keep driving. My family and I stayed here 3 nights (Fri-Monday). There's NO air in the lobby or hallway. We also didn't have any air in the first room they gave us. The elevator worked one day ONLY; and even then, it seemed like it was going to get stuck each time we used it. There was NO WIFI, so we had to search for so much on our phones. The front desk clerk didn't have any recommendations on food or excursions. The first room they gave us had no working phone, no working air, the door hinge was off the cabinet, no ice bucket, and the linen was dirty/stained. The second room they gave us had no working remote, no working light bulbs (it was actually broken out of the socket and just laid to the side), and the floors were uneven (so we were always stumbling throughout the room). No one ever cleaned our rooms and when we asked for more towels, they only gave us two. I have NEVER been to a Hilton brand hotel and experience such mediocre care in the building and amenities. This was a waste of money and time. OH and they had the nerve to try to charge you $150 for incidental fees. From what we experienced, they should have credited US $150 for having to deal with their raggedy building. Such a disappointment. Please DO NOT book here. I'm trying to help the next family.
This property is supposed to be “pet friendly” but they charge $75 per night per pet. We have a 7 pound dog and an 18 pound dog that do not shed and are well groomed and well trained. Someone was supposed to call me about reducing this charge but did not call. The room was dirty and smelled like smoke. I couldn’t wait to get out of there and would never come back!
Worst stay of our lives
Worst experience. Can't believe it was a Hampton Inn. It was filthy, no light in the elevator, only one towel. Room was disgusting and not clean with hair everywhere. I could go on forever. DO NOT stay here. Just hope we didn't bring bed bugs back with us.
Annette was wonderful! She provided outstanding customer service making our stay very pleasant. Comfortable bed and pillows
Clean and cosy rooms, friendly staff and easy parking. I don’t know why the hotel needs registration and account to Hilton hotels to access the internet , it is kept as a mandatory which I believe is not appropriate.
Nastiest place I’ve ever stayed
No towels no toilet paper dirty rooms and bed clothes everything smells like weed the pool had stuff growing on it the ice machine had bugs in the ice.
Never again
Absolutely disgusting, no TP, Towels, soap, ice had bugs in it, elevator broken, furniture falling apart, AC broken, soiled TP behind the toilet, pee stained sheets, dirty towels found in closet, pool closed with film on water. Would not recommend my worst enemy stay here. We stayed with our ball team and the entire facility smelled like weed.
There is an added convenience charge initially at check in that is supposed to be reimbursed after check out should there be no incidentals. No where was that stated when booking. Still waiting on my refund.
DO NOT BOOK HERE!
Property is tremendously difficult to get to with an an unmarked service road as entry. The property sold my room without notice prior to my arrival and had none to offer me. Front desk clerk was rude and refused to process my refund.
My stay was ok…. When I arrived I checked in dropped off our bags and left. When we get back my husband is running the water in the sink washing his hands I assume and water just started pouring out on the floor I told the front desk and she gives me a key for the room next door (1st floor) and the room had a lampshade on the bed no bulb and that sink didn’t drain at all…. So I go back to the front desk and she gives me a different room on the 3rd floor it’s after 10pm I’m tired been driving all day so we move to the 3rd floor everything works…finally winding down to get to sleep wake up next morning and see a condom wrapper on the floor next to the bed under the little nightstand 😳 now I’m feeling dirty as if the whole room is dirty. I was told my room would get a thorough cleaning while I was away come back bed is made beautifully but the condom wrapper was still there😳 how? So I go to the front desk and we all go to see the wrapper and the manager picked it up now I still feel my room was half ass cleaned if it was still on the floor. The manager was nice nothing towards her but my point is when you clean a room I thought that included vacuuming she was told it was a condom in the bed but thought she heard me say on the floor only problem I had was either way it was still on the floor. My bed was comfortable I slept on my own covers because I felt my room was not thoroughly cleaned I cleaned and wiped everything down before using anything
DISAPPOINTING!!
The room was subpar. I listed 3 people as guests but room only had 1 washcloth. In addition, the guests above our room were very loud all night. I would NOT recommend a stay at this Hampton Inn!!
Our reservation was lost and we had to reapply for another room not the one we want it. The continental breakfast was awful. The food was cold and tasteless.
Good Place
Great service but the place is beginning to show its age.
Disappointing
We can usually count on Hampton Inns to be a quality hotel. This one is in need of some serious updating. Elevator extremely slow the first day and out of order the second. Stained carpets. Water fountains broken and leaking. AC apparently broken in lobby. Juice machine options - all broken except orange. Emergency exit doors all propped open. So much for needing a key card to get in the locked doors.
The hotel was fine. The location is rundown, and would not feel safe outside at night. Pool was out of service.
Hampton Inn Columbus
For business travel, my expectations are few. I want a sufficient workspace, a comfortable place to sit, a comfortable place to sleep, and a decent shower. The Hampton Inn Columbus, while not in the greatest neighborhood, checked most of the boxes. I had sufficient space to work and a reasonably comfortable place to sit and sleep. The low-flow shower was disappointing. Staff were pleasant and professional, and check-in and check-out were easy.
This is an older but newly the renovated property. The hotel pool is out of order and our tub was clogged.
No heads up
Overall, was a nice stay. Only down fall was the pool was broken and no heads up. One of the main reasons we picked this hotel was the fact that it had an indoor pool. So that was a little disappointing.
Breakfast was slightly better than expected. If u can get the room for a good rate...it's not bad. Staff was very nice.
Nothing open
Not only was the pool and fitness center closed, There is trash all around the hotel very unkept. Definitely felt like I was in the ghetto.
Would recommend this hotel for a stay if in the area
Super friendly staff!
Poor Hampton showing.
Not only was I greeted by the front desk person is sweat pants and hoodie (lack of professionalism), but the elevator was out. For someone traveling on business, that should be made known upfront to the guests. I had to lug heavy tool boxes to the 2nd floor. Hey, i know, why not offer to help out front desk guy? Then the bedroom and bathroom was in disrepair. I strik plate to close the door properly, and the bathroom needed some maintenance. Not what I expect from a Hampton.
Very hard to find. The Google Maps directions on Expedia’s site took me to a stop light by Taco Bell near a Lion’s Den and listed it as the “No, No, So Inn”, (corrected now) very scary. I had to search the Internet to find the place. The staff was nice, but the room was filthy with hair in the tub and sink and with streaks of dirt and what looked like blood on the bathroom door. I will not return.
Keep your word
It was ok except we had no tv! The manager said I would be compensated and Nothing was done! I came for a break and couldn’t enjoy it but the hotel is nice
No frills but good service and clean room
We had a quick overnight stay. The woman at the front desk was super kind and helpful. The hotel was clean. Unfortunately they had a pipe burst the week before so the pool was not available.
I staryed 2 nites and both rooms were clean amd the staff was very nice
Front desk was very kind and quick! Room had a few hairs on the bed and in the towels.
The walls are VERY thin. We could hear every conversation the woman next to us was having - and could hear the TV going at 4am. Beds are not entirely comfortable either, but overall a clean and ok place to crash.
Bathroom floor sticky, bathtub needed restoration, carpet needed shampoo
