Great free hot breakfast and wifi. Front desk staff very helpful and responsive. For a downtown hotel, our room was well insulated and quiet. Only downside is we had to call front desk to request our trash be emptied as it overflowed. But a person came up immediately when we called and took care of it. Cleaning person skipped our room for some reason.

I love this hotel! I stay here any time I go to Columbus and this time was no exception. Any time I needed assistance, the staff was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel! It's convenient for events at the GCCC!

Everyone was amazing!

Clifford at the front desk is an absolute treat. He will brighten you day. My only negative about this hotel is the breakfast. For the price of the room, I expected a bit more hot options other than eggs, bacon, potatoes, and waffles. There was still plenty of other options.

Tons of things to do and within walking distance

Hotel had a great pool and breakfast was better than other places I've stayed, they had fresh omelettes.

Clifford at the front desk was very engaging and helpful. Breakfast was great. The ladies who worked it were very conscientious in their service. The parking was super easy and the valets were quick and personal.

The manager Meryem checked us in smoothly and efficiently. We were offered complimentary water and there was also an ice filled water dispenser in the lobby which is a nice touch. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel was clean. Our room was quiet-did not hear a peep of noise. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This is an excellent downtown location in the short north, close to North Market and manÿ other dining options. We were in town for the marathon. It was close.to the start and finish. The only draw back was traafic noise until 1 or 2am, lots.of sirens and loud motorcycles so we didn'tget much sleep.

Clifford made check in very enjoyable with his upbeat attitude. Helpful with dining choices. Valet was also very helpful though i think parking fee was steep.

Great spot in Short North. Only issue was that the walls were a bit thin and could hear the couple next to us fairly clearly. Good value. If you have quiet neighbors, then it’s a perfect spot.

The noise and construction next door was unacceptable. they should let you know that construction starts at 6:00am everyday except Sunday.

They need better towels. And if two people are staying in the room for two nights then provide two sets of towels. Our particular room had no full length mirror. It looked like maybe the missing closet door might have had a mirror but since it wasn’t there we did not have one.

It is walking distance to many attractions. The staff is so friendly and nice.

The staff went above and beyond! We attended OSU Parents Weekend and this hotel gets an A ! Check In was fantastic. The man that check us in was not only kind, sweet, funny, but so knowledgeable, witty and refreshing!

Amazing hotel, but definitely go back. The rooms were clean immaculate. Close to the convention center staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

This was an overall amazing stay! My only complaint is that there was a greek festival next door. They could have forewarned us that our room would be right above it, and as a consequence very noisy until around 11pm. Better yet, if available, we could have been offered another room.

The room was very nice, breakfast buffet was good, and was located close to plenty of restaurants/bars. The front desk staff were a little confused—went to charge snacks to our account and claimed we were charging the wrong room. Pricier than I preferred for only one night. Valet parking was $38/night.

The parking is expensive and inconvenient. You have to go into the building to check in and get a cart for your luggage and then the only option is valet for $38 bucks. Seriously, that is really expensive for the inconvenience you have to endure just getting your luggage and family in the right place. I couldn't recommend the hotel for that reason.

I Would Stay Again

Easy check in. Valet attendant was a kind young gentleman. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was well later out. Shopping within walking distance. A very good experience overall. I would stay here again and would recommend it.

We only stayed one night but it was clean, the staff was excellent and friendly, knew what was going on in the area, attractions, etc., walkable, plenty of food options.

Info said parking available….no mention of it being only $38/night valet parking. Front desk staff was not very nice to guests. Hefty price for two nights.

Great hotel and bad location.

The hotel itself is very nice. The area around it had a lot of intoxicated people. When we arrived there were two gentlemen that could not walk. They were falling over and kept running into everything. The area also smelled very bad. The service was excellent though, and the hotel was very clean.

Clean Hotel

We had a nice stay, one night as we were passing through on our way to OBX. Just paying $38 for valet parking + tip was the only annoying part of our stay. But, is expected when staying downtown in a city. The clean room was fantastic!!!

Excellent property, well maintained, great location. No on site parking but plenty of nearby garages. Great if you are going to the convention center which is literally across the street. Lots of restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We were sent to 3 different rooms. First room someone else was in it. Ended up in a room with 1 bed. 3 adults. Paid greatly for a double bed room. Was told they would bring us a pull out bed. Never did. In the morning. They said it wasn’t their fault. They were double and triple booked and they did nothing to make it right with us.

Clean, comfortable room. A little noisy due to outside revelers during the night. Beverages in the lobby were a nice touch, good variety of breakfast choices.

Finding where to drop our car for valet (which was the only option) parking was very difficult. Our room had king bed and fold out bed, but there was no blanket for fold out bed in the room. When I called front desk, I was made to come down and get my own blanket! When I pay just shy of $500 for ONE night, I shouldn’t have to hunt down a blanket then go get it myself!

There is no where to park so you are forced to pay $35 a night for valet parking at the hotel. We had 2 cars for the one one stay and had to pay the additional $70 total to park at the property. It's only the Hampton Inn, I was already paying almost $300 a night for a basic room. That in it self was bad. My fault for opting to pay at check in, Expedia raised the price by over $100 right before the stay but it was too late to cancel. Never again

Too expensive for the amenities. Was not able to check in until 7:00pm although check in was earlier. Still had to pay full price for less than 8 hours stay. Only positive was the location.

the nearby north market was lovely! and it was directly across the street from the convention center -- incredibly convenient on short breaks in our day. loved the breakfast area with alot of warm food options -- including make your own waffles! delicious and an easy start to the day. 24-hour coffee and cold water available in the lobby -- area consistently clean and comfortable.

This building is outdated, literally has window AC units like a cheap motel, my room was moldy and made it hard to breathe. This place needs to be renovated.

Great pool and breakfast

This was a terrific stay at the hotel. It might have been the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. It wasn't just our room that was clean. The pool area was extremely clean considering my kids swam late at night (8-10PM). There were not towels laying around and all of the furniture by the pool was clean. Then when we had breakfast the next morning, the dining area was extremely clean. The food was pretty good for a free breakfast. We could not have asked for a better stay. The only drawback is the parking garage is a block away and we had to walk over. However, that was well worth it.

Our stay was average. The room was clean, the staff was polite and everything was easy to access.

It’s a great location for everything. Very thin walls though. The person next to us snored louder than a jet engine. A little disappointed when we spent a pretty penny for a nice nights rest and have to deal with that. Make sure to bring some ear plugs. You really can’t beat the location though. I would recommend doing the valet parking service. It’s actually more expensive parking on your own in the garage near the hotel.

We had a very nice stay for the most part. It was close to the concert venue and various restaurants so that was convenient. The Breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. We reserved the room and paid extra to have 2 queen beds and then a pull out in a room we could shut the doors to for the kids. The only problem we had was that the mattress on the pull out couch was very thin and worn. We also did not have pillows for the pull out and when I went to get some the hotel was out of them due to a lot of teams that weekend. The girls weren’t happy at first but they got over it. All in all it was a nice stay.

Check in was slow. No rooms available when we arrived, went on to our event, returned 2 hours later and still no room. Waited another 30 minutes on housekeeping to complete. Room was spacious, breakfast was good, and valet was phenomenal!!

Good choice

It was absolutely fine. No strange odors when (I entered the room--a big plus for me.) I was only an overnight stay, so I can't comment on how things are maintained. The room had everything I needed --with the exception a full-length mirror. I tend to travel with options...so seeing my outfit options in a full-length mirror would have been helpful. It all worked out (as it usually does). I loved how the hotel is situated on the "main drag" so there were lots of options for dinning, in walking distance. (I will qualify that by saying I'm a New Yorker and walking is a mainstay)

When we checked-in the staff was AMAZING. So friendly and able to provide suggestions for dinner. The room was clean and trust me I check for all the little things and was very happy to know that it was all clean materials. The lobby and hallways were well lit and clean during our stay and it was St.Patty's weekend. The breakfast was impressive except for the hard boiled eggs that I could not get to peel. It was as if they were old and the shells would not come off, even with dipping them in water at the table to peel. The pool area on Friday evening was very clean and stocked with towels, on Saturday you could tell that families had been in there but it wasn't bad, however on Sunday morning at 8:30 am the pool area was trashed(garbage, open and partially empty alcohol bottles; no one had been in to clean up or replace towels. I would expect if the pool is open from 8am to 10 or 11pm that a staff member would clean it after it closed or before it opened. When I mentioned to the front desk staff when we checked out at noon (it was the same because we walked by it before checking out) they said, "oh well we are short staffed" The other issue I had was on Friday night it was extremely loud, like there was a party going on in the building or something because our room was on the inside of the building and the noise seemed to be coming from the "courtyard" area. The location was great, we were able to walk to Nationwide within 7 minutes and the market is less than a minute walk.
