The eggs at the buffet when it opened were stone cold.

Clean and quiet with a lovely location. Camino travelers should consider this spot for a little extra time - I stayed on a Sunday and enjoyed a little rest and relaxation and a delicious breakfast.

I like de dining and shopping options The beach and the fresh air

Nice hotel,helpful staff and good breakfast. Disadvantage is breakfast started at 7:30 if I remember well. That mean no breakfast for me second day of the stay as I had to leave after 7am. Hotel doesn't have own car park but using car parks nearby. This is not so far,just a few minutes walk. Before check in I drove through pedestrian zone to come close to the hotel reception to find where the garage/car park is. Just to find out a drive back with a lot of people walking on the street giving me strange looks. Plenty of restaurants around, no problem with dinner. Definitely will use hotel in the future again.

Very pleasant

Room didn’t have any heat and was very scented with room deodorizer. Also extremely dark and poor lighting.

It was just what I needed….close to the beach, friendly and helpful staff. Loved the welcoming fruit and robes were a nice touch.

Fab hotel for the price!!! The man at reception was really helpful and amiable. The room was clean, spacious. The bed and pillows super comfy. We are literally by the side front. Breakfast food was fresh, varied and plenty. I highly recommend that hotel. A must!

Beautiful hotel right in front of the ocean. Kind and attentive staff. Lovely breakfast and lots of things to see and do around Póvoa!

Helpful staff

The staff were very helpful. Especially Isabel and Ana. Isabel answered any questions I had and because our group had many pieces of luggage and would not all fit in one cab, she reserved a van for our departure. The morning breakfast staff were always pleasant and helpful.

Séjour à Grande hôtel da póvoa

L’hôtel est très bien situé au centre de la ville , la chambre est bruyante ( bruit de pas chambre au dessus le soir ) la propreté de la salle de bain ( douche joint sale et très mal entretenu) idem wc sale à notre arrivée. Drap non changé pendant 3 jours et literie non faite . Point positif les petits déjeuners rien à redire très correct . La responsable des petits déjeuners très correct avec de bonne explication, très professionnelle. Parking auto au casino très mal expliqué son fonctionnement pour bénéficier d’une réduction et réceptionniste parlant L’anglais est ne comprend pas le français.

The property is as close to the beach as possible. However the rooms are very small, the staff were uninterested and acted like they were ding you a favor.

Generally adequate for a business trip but breakfast very poor.

Avoid at all costs

On arrival receptionist was rude and very unfriendly. When I asked another receptionist where he reccomended to eat or bars to go his reply was " All places here are good and no need to explore any of the side streets as the places are on the main beach streets Didn't have any clue whatsoever as I found out when exploring. I was then advised Car parking was provided at a cost of €10 at the Casino next door which hotel took the fee and then I was charged a furthe €36 bybthe car park on leaving.Car park Manager then told us every week that hotel's guests have same issue. Breakfast tastless ! For a 4star hotel it is more like 2 star . One of the worst hotels I have stayed at in 93 Countries which is a shame as Portugal is my favourite Country.

Wonderful stay but small things to improve.

POSITIVE: Nice, recently refurbished hotel with a friendly staff, right in front of the beach. The extra money for a room with sea view is worth every cent, the sunsets were amazing every night. Good bed, extra pillows available, small fridge, good size bathroom. Our (soundproof) room on the 5th floor wasn't very big, but we spent most of the time on the beach or in the city, so no problem. Good quality Wifi, free of charge. Possibility to park under the casino (next door) or 50m further in the harbor, both with hotel discount. Excellent Nespresso coffee at breakfast. NEGATIVE: The rooms could be a bit cleaner, we found stains and small dirt on light switches, doors, walls, etc... The biggest problem for us was the (Covid style) breakfast. The crew was sometimes understaffed, there were communication problems and most of all, the quality of the products offered was far to low for a 4 star hotel. Industrial orange juice, scrambled eggs, ham and bacon is not done in such a nice hotel. Mushrooms out of a can, and most of the food cold or lukewarm (a problem I already read in reviews from 2019 and 2020). Only tea making facilities in the room, although the website says also coffee.... OVERALL : very pleasant stay, but if they want me to come back I need to read reviews about an improved breakfast.

Alles perfekt.

El hotel nos ha encantado, todo está muy bien y los desayunos un gustazo contemplar la playa mientras tomas gran variedad de pan, bollería, frutas, etc... El personal de recepción y de limpieza muy cordiales y amables. La atención en el desayuno por parte del personal de 10, siempre pendientes de que todo esté disponible y muy rico. Recomendamos 100X100 este alojamiento.

Très beau séjour, seul bémol l odeur de canalisations dans la chambre par moment…

Bel hôtel mais dommage que le manque de personnel ait fait que la réception de la chambre fut tardif …plus d’une heure de retard .

Buena atención al público. Excelente localización, próximo a la playa, al casco histórico y a zonas de paseo.

Topligging, maar schoonmaak kan beter.

Topligging tegenover het strand en naast het casino. Mooie kamer (de mijne met zicht op zee) met goed bed, matras en kussens. Koffie en theefaciliteiten. Vloer was plakkerig en bij het opvegen van wat gemorst water bleek de doek supervuil. Ook mijn witte sokken waren na één avond supervuil. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid, maar niet van 4-sterren kwaliteit met o.a. champignons uit blik. Parkeren kan onder het casino en het hotel heeft een speciaal tarief.

A estadia por 1 noite foi positiva em especial pela localização do hotel. O quarto era muito pequeno, o pequeno almoço era razoável mas não para um hotel de 4 estrelas, o atendimento foi insípido. Gostámos da decoração, do ambiente proporcionado mas não está em igual patamar de hotéis de 4 estrelas em Portugal

Habitación limpia, buen aubicacion, hay que tener paciencia con el servicio son muy serios y te hacen esperar mucho.

La ducha estaba roñosa, buffet del desayuno escaso y no apto para alergicos al huevo, cama muy comoda con 3 opciones de almohada, 2 parkings asociados al hogel uno cubierto y otro descubierto, personal amable, a 2 pasos de la playa.

Un gran hotel a un precio insuperable😍
