staff friendly. great Breakfast. room clean. should be Microwave in the room. overall hotel fantastic
good
Large facility. Nicely kept up.
The floor in room not carpet
do not recommend this hotel to any body.
I just would like to find what I ordered, so I got single room and bed but I ordered king size other thing I just got at the room one towel only the fridge doesn’t work
Large hotel, poor location, rooms need updating
Full service upscale hotel, but aging and some of the rooms in need of maintenance and new beds. The location is on a busy road, and the soundproofing is nonexistent. The location also makes it difficult to walk to local restaurants.
Hotel Waz just ok, nothing special.
Booked a deluxe room for my wife and myself, got offered a standard room with twin beds. Reception could not get us the right room. Difficult to get much in terms of service. They seem overwhelmed. Took them over 30mn to deliver ice. The good thing is closeness to Regency Hotel where amenities clearly compensate for the lack in Grand Palace. Wifi is weak and TV is vintage 80s
Convenient hotel for the purpose we travelled.
The hotel was old style with one key provided between two people. Have not they heard of magnetic cards? The safe deposit box proved cumbersome in the assigned room which has necessitated room change. Carpet and drapes were dirty but beds and bathroom were clean. WIFI was unreliable and needed constant pin change.
A pleasant stay
I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel is not new but it was very well-maintained and I was comfortable in my room. The front desk staff spoke very good English and were able to direct me easily to the places I wanted to go. I went to the spa in the ajoining hotel where I received one of the best deep tissue massages ever courtesy of Pamela. Overall, my stay at Grand Palace was very good.
Nice hotel in the heart of Amman
The hotel location is very good, security is excellent, staff were outstanding with the exception of the beauty salon vendor...terrible person and dilapidated facility!! Breakfast and dinning: food is fairly good, staff were wonderful but the place has dirty, old, stained and unhealthy furniture items. Reception staff were great. WiFi was available but access code were changed on daily basis!!!
Just a good hotel
Ok hotel
I have stayed here before with a tour group Feb 2015 so booked from a return to Amman for 8 nights Dec 2015. The hotel is ok but there were 3 major disappointments. If they fixed these I would gladly up my rating because they charge a lot for the room but don't deliver on: 1. I booked a king non-smoking but they said they had none when I arrived! So had to stay on smoking floor. Not impressed! 2. TVs terrible -They need to replace their TVs. All very old fashioned small units, useless to watch a movie. 2. Avoid room service. Very poor quality. Didn't eat the meal. Overall this hotel is fine for short stays but not so good for longer stays, not for the rate charged. I'm generally easy to please, but felt these comments needed.
Great location
Great location , clean room , lots of security, gift shop and 24 hour room service .
Everyone was absolutely nice and very friendly. I liked feeling so secure with all the security measures that the hotel had. I was impressed with the great, great service people gave us. Only thing was no wash cloths(little towels to scrub with).
It was good hotel. I like the location and the cost.
our stay was a disaster moved the next day
booked for a deluxe room with non smoking and got a standard smoking room. After a big argument they gave us a deluxe which was old and looks like never been used with bad smell and the linens was dirty and had to call the staff to come at 3a.m to change the linen. Very dirty room and bathroom and worth no star. In the morning we had to move out and asked our credit card company to dispute the charges. Please be very careful to book in this hotel as they do not accept their shortcomings. We are world traveler but this is the first time we had to go through this in any hotel.
Nice hotel in Amman
I am happy to write a review for this hotel. I came to Amman for 4 nights and found this hotel very comfortable. Very large room with excellent internet. Breakfast excellent as well. I used the exercise room and it is excellent as well. The staff very friendly and the room always clean. it is a short distance from downtown. Their prices are very reasonable and it is highly recommended.
Nice Hotel in a good location
I was a nice experience staying at this hotel. This is a tour booking type hotel, which means it has been around for a time and hence require updating, but has solid bones.
It was a fine hotel for the price
Not a 4 star for sure more of a economy hotel...it was fine the room was clean with all you need. The staff was ok, bartenders need a course on how to be Bartenders. All in All the place was good for the money i would stay here again
Nice but not located near Downtown
The hotel doesn't have many faults and is good overall other than the fact that it is not walking distance from anything significant and the decor is slightly dated. However everything else is very good.
Nice hotel walking distance to Hussein sport city
Clean hotel, good full buffet breakfast, great friendly staff, also good lunch buffet with reasonable price... Overall I liked this hotel :)
Rude front desk staff!!
The front desk stuff was too rude. We made a reservation for twin non-smoking room with full payment. But the stuff prepared a single room and asked me the payment again!! It was me who needed to verify the reservation on sight and show him the confirmation, because he even refused to make a simple reconfirmation through their booking system!!!!
Excellent service , very clean
Good option in new Amman city
If you plan to visit all attractions in Amman and surrounding areas, this hotel is more than enough. The room size is very good, comfortable beds, satellite TV and the buffet breakfast is very decent.
Nice hotel
the hotel is nice and clean, the staff is helpful and cooperative,
Nice 48 hours in Amman
Good and clean. tasty traditional breakfast. no internet access...
Totally Un-impressed
This is a much older hotel and the facilities are barely up to standards. There is only one restaurant the actual location; for additional place to eat one must go over to its connecting sister hotel, The Regency Palace. Which is a 5 star, and perhaps deserving of its rating. The Grand Palace, however, itsn't deseving of its 4 Star rating. The elevators are smal, old and not well-maintained. Rooms are Ok, but found the mattresses to be old and not in the best conditions.
Grand Palace in Amman Jordan
We were only there one night. I didn't feel the service was pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. I can't speak to the location because we left Amman the next morning for the Dead Sea. It didn't appear to be very much to see in the area.
OK for cost
Stayed 2 nights with 3 nights elsewhere in between. Difficult to find but very helpful night staff talked us in from our hire car and were very friendly and welcoming. Room on first night was better than on our 2nd night - 2 double beds, quiet room away from the main road and generally better condition. 2nd night we were put in a room with 3 single beds, despite having booked 2 double beds, and were facing the main road which was incredibly noisy throughout the night but I was ill and couldn't summon the energy to ask to move and wasn't sleeping anyway! This room was also very tired generally and they charged us for an extra half day when we asked to check out late because I wasn't well enough to leave at lunchtime whereas the hotel in Petra on the previous day had been very happy to let us stay as long as we needed to without charge. Staff on 2nd night not as friendly or welcoming as on 1st night. Only cost £84 a night, though, so can't expect too much at that price. Breakfast disappointing and not included in room rate - my daughter went out in the hire car and brought it in on the 2nd stay, even though I couldn't eat anything! Depends what you're looking for and what your budget is but acceptable.
OK
The hotel was nice. Good price. I booked mainly because of the indoor pool but the pool was closed so I was very disappointed. Also the hotel turned the A/C off because it was going to cool down the following day. So the night I was there it was hot in the room. Plus the street noise was very loud. I would not stay here again.
4 star hotel in Jordan
It would be much better if the hotel can provide iron and iron board. I ended up buying an iron myself.
This hotel needs to lose one of its four stars.
The room was clean. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the really old bed linens.
clean rooms, good food, reasonable price, helpful staff - recommended
Good in comparison
Overall, the hotel was good value, especially compared to the chain hotels in the city. The rooms were good despite being past their best. The front desk staff were a bit on the grumpy side and the business centre was filthy though.
Cold Stay
It was so cold in the room because the heater air conditioning is central for all the hotel rooms I asked them to turn on the heater and they refused. instead of turning the heater on the gave 4 blanckets and the third night they provide me with in room heater which ok but the whole situation was not ok.
Good hotel, but must ask for proper service
Good room, but they did not put me in the correct room, until after I complained. Had to argue about internet and breakfast being included in the room as per the website.
Good for short stay
I like the hotel but i have some comments to make 1- they said free WIFI I asked for PW they said you have to pay 2- AC fan was very noisy 3- they was friendly
Disappointed
This is not a 4 star hotel by far, if the hotel was rated a 3 star, then I would give it and overall OK rating, but for a 4 star hotel, it's a dump.
This hotel is not a 4 star hotel as advertised
This hotel is certainly not a 4 star hotel. I would rate this hotel as 1 or 2 star hotel. The door luck is operated with the old manual key!! I haven't experienced this for the last 30 years!!! The bed sheet was worn out!! There was dust on the coffee table.... I called the service room for cold water but they asked me to call another number, once I called the other number they asked me to call a different number, and again once I called the third number they asked me to call the first number!!! I simply gave up!! The wall plug wasn't functional and there was not mini bar!! The only positive for this hotel was the breakfast room, which was setup very nicely and operated with a very hospitable staff and the breakfast was very good.
Strange arrival procedure.
Our room was certainly comfortable though we were surprised on arrival to have our cases checked in much the same way as at airports. Dinner and breakfast were also satisfactory. Local roadworks unfortunately prevented our taking the walk that we had planned toward the City Centre.
Comment
Room has a musky smell. If u r looking for a cheap hotel to stay with ok standard this would get a pass.
This so.called hotel is the worse I've ever seen, take my word for it,very horrible, not worth s penny. Run do not book, you will be sorry you did! This hotel very poor, very bad odor.. had people sitting in lobby, very sicking .. someone should report to the Jordan authority.
Nice Staff - Old Hotel
The staff and their dealings with customers is very professional, but the hotel's condition is old. This includes the carpets, the bed, the furniture, the TV . . . etc.
the pictures are deceiving its more like a motel 6
Not a great choice but inexpensive
Definetely not a 4 star establishment. The mattress was way overdue for a change and one could feel all the springs. The room is very basic: small TV, tired furniture and worn out carpet. The public areas of the hotel are lifeless and disappointing. The buffet breakfast and dinner are quite basic and not terribly tasty. The location of the hotel is not great for walking and it is surrounded by nothing of use to a visitor.
project manager
not realy a 4 star hotel. but its o.k for a short working trip
Amicable in Ammon
The hotel staff is what made my stay the most enjoyable. Sabri at the desk was very helpful with city info and greeting me by name each morning. Majid, in charge of the dining area, also greeted me by name and made sure everything was good for me, and Ali, the waitstaff and security were the nicest of people, setting the tone for my week stay in Ammon.

Rooms were clean and staff were extremely helpful with any information I needed regarding the hotel or local area. The only challenge I had is the hotel faces a busy road. I was able to get a quiet room in the back of the hotel on a high floor.
