Wonderful hosts!
Art and Martha are wonderful hosts. They were very kind and accommodating.
Had a wonderful stay, excellent breakfast and very friendly owners. Would recommend staying at this bed and breakfast.
Art and Martha are phenomenal and friendly hosts who understand that good conversation with them and the other guests is a part of the experience and they nurture that. The breakfasts were fresh, home cooked and delicious. All this in one of the oldest buildings in Canada. We would highly recommend staying here.
Art & Martha are fantastic hosts. Everything about this stay was tops. Easy to see why they are one of highest rated stays. Breakfast was excellent lots of good discussion and tips on local areas of interest. Thanks for a great stay.
Superb attention to detail. Very pleasant helpful owners. Large comfortable room. Thank you for your hospitality
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old house built in the early 1800’s. The hosts were very friendly and helped with directions, restaurant suggestions etc. The breakfast was delicious and filling. We were just a short drive to wineries, golf, shopping etc. It was also interesting to watch the huge change in tide levels across the street from their house. Having a 2-room suite was perfect. Beds were comfy and bathroom had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
Grand Oak Manor was such a pleasant spot to stay. Our family of 4 absolutely loved the comfy beds, private bathroom, old charm, and most importantly the kind and courteous hosts. We highly recommend the Grand Oak Manor and would love to stay here again!
The property is excellent. Martha and Art are really super hosts. Will recommend to stay always.

Art and Martha are very easy-going and thoughtful. The stay was excellent. The room is clean and quiet. Thank you both! I would definitely recommend to my friends.
Petit paradis.
Art and Martha were great hosts. We really enjoyed hearing the history of the house and the suggestions for eating and sight seeing in the area. The breakfasts were delicious! We would love to stay here again if we’re in the area.
A really nice play to stay
The Grand Oak Manor is not just a beautiful B&B, lovingly cared for, it offers two of the most delightful innkeepers...Art and Martha. Our room at the Inn was very well prepared, with excellent beds and very comfy high quality quilts. When you arrive you'll be greeted by the hosts and offered assistance with your luggage, and Martha's freshly made baking and beverages. The Rhubard squares were scrumptious. The coffee is excellent. In the morning we were greeted with a generous and delicious breakfast with local strawberry preserve, maple syrup, fresh fruit, and homemade waffles We look forward to returning.
Lovely hosts and beautiful historic home. Breakfast was yummy and we enjoyed our visit with Art and Martha. Would highly recommend!!

This is a beautifully maintained property. The owners and friendly and welcoming and the level of finish throughout is superb.
We really enjoyed our stay, breakfast was delicious and the hosts were really friendly!
Martha and Art are wonderful hosts who make everyone feel welcome in their beautiful, historic home, conveniently located to explore points of interest in the area. They are generous with their time and information, answering questions and offering suggestions. A delicious, complimentary breakfast is provided with the accommodation, and it is truly second to none. We wholeheartedly recommend that those interested in exploring Annapolis Royal and region book this beautiful bed-and-breakfast accommodation. It is open year-round. One note to travelers: this is a scent-free accommodation. Check with the hosts if any questions regarding personal care products or pets. Accessibility may be a concern for those with mobility issues or difficulty with stairs.
The house is very charming. It is very old and we found out it's on the oldest street in Canada! It is very clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the washroom was updated. Most of all, Martha and Arthur were so warm and welcoming. They made the stay memorable. They served us a lovely full breakfast in the morning that was delicious and gave us a history of the house and the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. You will not be disappointed.
Wonderful overnight stay, Art & Martha were fab hosts, great breakfast wished we could have stayed longer. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this beautiful guest house
The lovely old house and beautiful garden. Right on the water. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable owners.
A Must Stay
Very good find. Bedroom comfortable with lots of extra amenities such as fluffy bathrobes, chocolates and beautiful quilts. Breakfast outstanding. I am gluten free and hosts provided two GF grain options as well as full breakfast. Beautiful location. Minutes off the main road. Historic home with many features preserved. Hosts even scored us a diner reservation minutes after our arrival.

Very nicely appointed property inside and out. Friendly owners who were nice enough to accomodate several of our family in the livingroom while they waited for a reception in Annapolis Royal. A lovely place to stay.

What an amazing place! Such wonderful peaceful energy! Owners were exceptional hosts and very gracious. The breakfast was exceptional and the conversation around the table each morning was refreshing and informative.
Fantastic stay! 👍👍👍
It was an amazing stay. Perfect room(s), fantastic owners and super breakfast 👍👍👍 Only thing that might be a problem to some people is that you have to be able to do the stairs to reach your room We will love to come back!
Excellent!
Beautiful old inn. mARTha and Art were great hosts. Great breakfast. Need to plan for early dinner as everything closes before 8:00pm.
Loved the history that this home has. Close to Annapolis Royal and a great stop before Brier Island. The breakfast was by far the best we've ever had. Art and Martha hovered while we ate, making sure our coffee was full and delivering up blueberry pancakes, sausages, fresh fruit salad - and more!! They shared the history of the property while we ate. Highly recommend this jewel of a place!
This is a great place to stay in a truly historical location. The hosts are very welcoming, the breakfast was fabulous. Its a great place to meet and exchange with the host and other guests. We had to cut our stay short because of sickness (something I must have I caught prior to our stay) and Art and Martha where very understanding of the situation.
Lovely stay with these wonderful, kind hosts! Great beds and delicious breakfast!
The hosts were very friendly and warm. It made for a very inviting stay. We were there for one night but it truly felt like a home away from home. The property is beautiful and very accessible by car to Annapolis Royal and the surrounding sights.
Art and Martha were wonderful hosts extremely knowledgeable on the area. The rooms were perfect and breakfasts amazing!
A nice house with suits in a quiet place with a great tasty hot breakfast done by friendly host Martha and served by Art. The only lack is a poor internet connection: if you need to run a business, you should choose another hotel in order to have a reasonable-quality zoom connection. We booked this stay in Granville Ferry for two nights. Because of the internet issue, for the second night we had to book for one night a hotel in Digby. After three-hour internet conference, we returned back to Granville Ferry. Actually, that was the most expensive internet I ever had: $150 for just three hours!
Beautiful historic property with outstanding hosts. Art and Martha clearly enjoy their guests and made our stay perfect. The breakfasts were incredible, as was the view from our room!
Wonderful accommodations!
we had a wonderful stay. great gardens around a well kept property, clean comfortable room, amazing breakfasts, and wonderful hosts. very quiet property. Hope to return!!
Will definitely stay here again. The owners are kind knowledgeable and make a fabulous breakfast!

The historical charm is complimented to perfection by the exceptional care and warmth of our hosts, Martha and Art. We would recommend staying here. In fact, we would say it’s a must stay destination. April 2022
Great place to stay
Great stay. Spotlessly clean. Super comfy bed. Friendly hosts and superb breakfast.
This awesome place to stay. Great service & beautiful area. Owners are very friendly & knowledgeable of the area.
Atmosphere-built in 1700's
You never know with a bed and breakfast if you have to tiptoe around. Fortunately, Art and Martha are very welcoming and you would feel comfortable to use the living room or dining room. They have a little fridge for the use of guests, and no problem using the microwave or kettle in the lovely kitchen. There are four rooms upstairs and they live downstairs. What sets this place apart is the many little things they think of for their guests’ comfort. Home made cookies (generously shared: we ate the whole batch!), a basket of sweets in the room, a night light in the bathroom, sweet smelling hand soap, etc. Luxurious linens and towels. Very delicious breakfasts. A beautiful and historic home as well as very comfortable. Art doesn’t run out of stories of the house and area. Sit on the expansive lawn and enjoy the view of Annapolis Royal across the water, or stroll through the vegetable garden. Or perhaps play some fun board games with the hosts.
Great Hosts!
Art and Martha were great hosts! We felt at home and we will stay again if we visit the region.

Superb B&B very close to Annapolis Royal town centre but situated in a very quiet area with breathtaking views of the harbour; very nicely decorated, with a long and interesting history. Martha and Art go the extra mile to prepare delicious, customized breakfasts. Hope to return as soon as possible.
