Love our stay

Firstly check in was a nightmare took me 25min standing in a queue of people all wanting to check in. It should be better an bigger at peak times to make the initial check a better impression. The room was on the 12th floor it was quiet, But the blackout curtains were worn ,at the centre when closing them up an you wake up at sunrise with it beaming thru not great when you want to sleep in. Bed was comfortable, pillows need to be replaced they have seen better days an the shower isnt suitable for men tall than 5'11 as my son at 6'5 an myself 6'4 found out ,an poor pressure wasn't great .The highlight was the buffet breakfast food was amazing ,only detail was the plates are not in line of sight , they are hidden in a lower area on top of the table keeping them warm. But people were trying to find . Wasn't worth the $425 dollars i spent for one night . So a big learning experience.

Check in was delayed by 1 hr and we were not kept updated at all !

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Auckland, do NOT stay here. The staff have absolutely no consideration for customer service. They did not honor any of the VIP benefits either. No free parking, very hard to pay for parking as well. The staff were very hesitant to even allow free breakfast. On top of that, made us book another room for a party of 4, claiming that it’s a “health and safety issue”. Despite the rooms being huge with 2 queen beds each. Again, do NOT stay here under any consideration.

The drinks and canapés that were put on 5 to 7pm. The food was not very good the burgers a good idea but the ingredients was not good. The chicken kababs were chewy

Very dirty for a hotel. Corridors are filthy looking. Carpets needs changing. Perhaps the elevator and corridor doors and walls needs changing. Not very appealing entering the vicinity. The parking premises was disgusting, chairs and desks taking up parking space. No where to park. The fire exits have been used as a way in and out of the hotel. Very filthy looking. The elevator is disgusting and very dodgy, seems broken or about to break. I can not imagine how waiters bring food in and out of that elevator cause how unhygienic it looks with out covering trolleys full of deserts and things. Very unpleasant to look at and witness.

The front desk staff were all amazing. We enjoyed our stay and the easy of walking around the downtown area

Stayed for four nights. Great buffet breakfast and location. Several dining options inside the hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay

Stink service

It was okay. The staff need alot of training in customer service! Staff need to provide Service with a smile, & Greeting with a 😊 smile with some customer acknowledgement, -when customers are awaiting to be served. The above makes all the difference to a great stay, & a great review.

Good Business Hotel

Good location and a well-equipped hotel. Older rooms but still very clean and presentable. A bit pricey for its age but a great hotel none the less.

The staff name Mary Joy is very accommodating and polite when we had to transfer the room. SHe really did her best to attend to our problem in the room since the aircon in the room is not working.

The staff was great, professional and was very clean. This was a great experience and would def do it again!

I requested a birthday cake to be delivered for my partner with breakfast, on the first morning of our stay. We were both very happy with the strawberry cake supplied, preordered and prepaid from the amenities list. I would definitely order again. Room service was only available from Ember. Delivery service and food standard was good.

Took the kids for a little staycation. Had the best time here. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Loved swimming and lovely outside area next to the pool.

A one night stay

Excellent though odd no drinking fountain by gym/pool or timer in sauna but otherwise room was lovely and spotless bathroom

The photos were not what the room actually looked like. The staff was unfriendly and did not offer basic services. The room wasn’t clean at all. Do not recommend this place.

New room upgrades are horrible feels like a private hospital room. Also lights turned off in our room at 10pm which was really inconvenient - we’re off for nearly an hour.

Great Location, Needs Updating (and Proper AC)

The staff at the reception was lovely when checking in. The facility is very dated, not quite what is shown online (it looks much more modern and new). My largest complaint would be that it’s hotter than Hades! I was there 5 nights and sweated profusely to the point I couldn’t sleep even though air was on full blast, it was miserable. Location is great for walking around, but would not stay there again.

Close to CBD of Auckland and walkable to every thing we wanted to do

The whole family LOVED our stay here. I can truly say they go above and beyond with customer service at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful. The pool, sauna and gym were great - better than what most hotel’s offer. The location was fantastic as well. Would 100% recommend.

Check in was unpleasant to say the least and the lady who checked us in simply lacked empathy and was aloof and cold. The room almost got zero water pressure in the shower. The aircon when turned on was noisy. So nosy that its continuous humming kept us up all night. Been regularly crashing at this establishment but the experience is getting worse each time as of recent.

Highly recommend Club Room as the deal we got included full breakfast and continental breakfast in the Club lounge. From 5-7pm unlimited drinks and yummy snacks in the Club lounge. Free self parking. My husband and I were very lucky as we got upgraded because our aircon wasn’t working and the Junior Suite was even better. We celebrated our 20 year Wedding Anniversary. Thank you Grand Millennium for all your hospitality. Staff are amazing.

Excellent location, shame about our experience at check-in something so small could be been resolved so easily but the duty manager on at the time seemed to have an attitude which was a not nice start to our weekend away. The double beds were super small so if you are planning on sharing with children I suggested paying more for bigger beds. We’ve travelled a lot this not a 4-5 star hotel I’d say more a 3.

Gym needs to be opened 24 hours like other major hotels. Inconvenient. Staff was wonderful

This is a 3 star at most middle class family hotel. Everyone brings their own food or orders pizza/ Indian food which sits in the corridors for over 24 hours at a time. The worst club floor I have ever been in! They even closed it down at 10 pm on New Year’s Eve, The receptionist said the fireworks would be great from there. It would have been if it was open. I was given a club floor on the “8th” floor that is not even a club floor. I think this is because I booked through expedia instead of their site direct so buyer be warned. When i left I asked the concierge to call the taxi cab I had been using and a specific person. He pushed a button and then tried the number and told me it did not work. I then asked him to call me a cab but he said it was already coming. That should have tipped me off. I paid $100 from the grand millennium to the airport which was a rip off. I asked for a receipt but as he was driving away I noticed the receipt says I was picked up at the rendezvous hotel instead so that must be part of the scam. I was picked up at the grand millennium. I called the cabbie I asked the concierge at the hotel to call when I was at the airport myself and the number worked fine. My cabbie had not got a call from the hotel. Lesson learned. Anyways, well worn hotel in nice location if on tight budget. They are trying to improve it.

Parking instructions not displayed in lobby or in booking information. Restaurants were mostly closed or very quiet. Pool is deep for young children. Everything else is really good. Large spacey renovated rooms.

Great stay to finish off couple's trip in Auckland

Big, beautiful, clean hotel. All staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating and gave us great local recommendations. Jordan at concierge was particularly friendly and helpful. Room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed.

Excellent, helpful staff; amazing breakfast buffet; comfortable beds; great water pressure. Pool, sauna, and sun deck were great amenities. Would stay again.
