Overall a good stay

Overall, it was very good. It has a great location, lovely rooms, spa and pool are excellent. The bar and restaurant areas lack any atmosphere and the breakfast is overpriced.

Perfect

The hotel is located at an ideal place for places of interest. However, the elevator scheduling requires improvement. It took me more than 25 minutes to get into an assigned lift to get down to the ground floor (I suppose, it is the peak hour).

My room showed signs of wear the carpet and bathroom grouting were dirty. Also there was some construction noise through the night. The spa and heated pool facilities were very good. I had warm water not hot for my tea and the breakfast items were not fresh although I went for breakfast late. Still the standard was overall good. At peak hotel hours the 4 elevators took long. One time I waited 6 minutes to gat an elevator. The computerized system is efficient and works well but if the elevator assigned to you arrives full you just have to wait or try for another I heard many guests complain.

Great hotel with beautiful views!

Hi! I think general the price was good. The room service only cleaned our room 1 time. Which is weird for a 5 star hotel. I was not happy with it. The beds were super hard. Might as well sleep on the floor. We loved the pool though.

Very clean and aesthetically pleasing

I really enjoyed the property and was happy that they fixed the issue that occurred when they gave me a completely different suite that I booked & prepaid for. After bringing it up to their attention. The staff was all very helpful. Also, not many English television channels are available at the property and do try to bring euros to give tips and pay for taxis there. The only current issue that I do have is getting my deposit back and do hope it is released soon.

The hotel was just perfect for our stay in Athens; restaurant for breakfast had a great view of Acropolis; there was free transfer between the hotel and Syntagma Square which is very convenient and great for sightseeing.

The room that they provided was on the first floor of a busy street and the room is not soundproof. Upon checking in the clerk was hesitant to take Amex and preferred me to use another card which in inconvenient. The room itself is small and has no drawers or places to put your suitcase as the safe is on the floor of the wardrobe. There is also no luggage rack in room. Room was disturbed we arrived as you could see from the cups in the bathroom. Water pressure in shower was less than stellar. Breakfast is 29 pp. never once was ask acknowledged as a Hyatt member

Only criticism is price of food and beverage versus price. Also, 20 day wait to have credit card charges for security refunded.

Modern luxury hotel in central Athens next door to the Onassis Center. The rooftop pools, view of the Acropolis and bar are stunning. Rooms are modern and impeccably clean. Bathroom is stylish and modern with rain shower. The restaurant has gourmet level food. Location is convenient. Staff is friendly and efficient. I’ve stayed here twice and would do so again.

Clean and beautiful .

Super nice rooftop pool, restaurant and bar. However, while enjoying a beautiful sunset over Athens, a staff member asked me to leave because they were hosting a private party. So, basically Hyatt double booked that space. I was not given any notice when I booked my reservation so I feel like I got ripped off. The entire reason that I booked at this hotel was because of that rooftop.

The Grand Hyatt was Grand! They have lovely rooftop pools. But the best is the view from the pool- direct view of the Acropolis! Nice service all around. I will be returning and I recommend this hotel for you.

They provided incentives due to my ac not working and a loud pool party that went on till 12:30am but that would have never worked for me, what makes you think i would ever want to spend more money at the grand club lounge after having the ac have issues where it stopped working almost every night after the maintenance guy came super frustrating as my partner was unable to sleep due to poor quality of sleep. The bed sheets i noticed after the day we were supposed to leave had blood on the sheets and pillows for a 5 star hotel I am disgusted and disappointed if i ever come to Athens again it will never be with this hotel beyond disappointed and angered by such treatment.

We were happy with our room which is clean, spacious and well kept.

Great place to stay, clean and good room size. Only concern is the shower and the small glass that prevents water to flow into bathroom. Doesn't matter how you shower the floor gets soaked, this is a clear design flaw.

Staff was pleasant, a la carte breakfast menu was short but well priced, room was nice except for feather pillows that deflated to nothing. It would have been a pleasant stay if not for the least functional elevator i have ever experienced. Floor selection had to be done when calling the elevator then you were directed to wait by one of 4 elevators. Different elevators would open but you couldn’t get on because you didn’t know where they were going. When the one you were finally directed to it would still stop at multiple floors. Going 2 floors took 10 minutes regularly throughout our stay. The hotel is not by a metro stop making it inconvenient for tourists.

An absolute treat staying at the Grand Hyatt Athens! Our room was absolutely stunning and the staff was wonderful. So caring and attentive, we had a fabulous time!

Overall we recommend this place to stay. However, our only complaints is they failed to refilled the coffee/expresso daily and when we had asked for more body wash they failed to deliver it, however we did get some when we asked again from the room atrendant.

Stayed in 3 hotels in a week Restaurant and bar staff seemed uninterested and slow

Very busy hotel, rooms were not ready at 3:00PM. But the hotel is wonderful and clean. Many options in the area. The concierge team are extremely helpful and kind.

The hotel is located on a highway few minutes drive from the center of the city but not a place you can walk from, since there are simply no proper sidewalk in part of the way . Otherwise it is a big hotel, modern, and the spa is nice. The rooms are big but we got a dirty room with stains in the carpet and on the side table. Definitely not clean. The room wasn’t cleaned until we asked for it at least 3 times and believe me , you want to get a clean room after a day in the city. The staff is nice and tried to do their best but since a lot is going on there , they just can’t be on top of every thing. Overall, won’t recommend going there unless someone else is paying for the stay.

The Grand Hyatt Athens exceeded our expectations. Cool rooms, beautiful pool and bar and great staff (Eleni and the rest of the pool bar were so helpful and kind) and luxurious without overcharging. Highly recommend!

Street view Very misleading in pictures. The only places around us were strip clubs… elevators were a situation in itself… piece of wood from the floor went in my foot while walking in our room. other then that the staff was nice and helpful and accommodating.

Great location overlooking the Parthenon. The 8 floor had two infinity pools and on the 9 floor a.restaurant all of them taking advantage of the view

Hotel was okay. The elevator situation is a nightmare. We ended up hauling our luggage downstairs using the emergency staircase. The pool area was crowded and it was difficult to get drinks/snacks. Breakfast was good, view from the restaurant is amazing and our room was spacious!

Awesome rooftop and pool area

Property was beautiful. Service/staff were great. Very attentive and professional. Roof top pool was to die for and had an amazing view of the city. Would definitely stay here again. A little far from the town center, but has a free shuttle for guests. Also restaurants nearby, walking distance

Lovely stay and staff. good breakfast and stunning views at night. Rooms and pool were great too. Lifts are a nightmare and have a mind of their own.

Overall very good hotel, some issues faced, not enough lifts, queues are common, room was not ready on arrival. The location is away from main attractions and area surrounded by strip clubs but feels safe. The hotel provides a limited complimentary mini bus to the centre which is good but should extend hours. Whilst not a hotel problem the taxis will try and scam you, always ask for the meter to be switched on and don’t agree to an estimates price, our driver doubled our price at the end of the journey .

Big & busy hotel. So a bit of waiting to get to the front desk and for lifts. great rooftop pool and indoor spa. Poor menu at the pool. Breakfast is not bad. Not the best location. not much within walking distance. good value and decent rooms.

Hotel rooms were nice, clean and quite big. Main Street outside was a bit noisy.

The elevators are a disaster!!!!

We arrived quite late in the evening and were given our room key. When we opened the door there was already a couple in bed!! The hotel had given the same room to two families and I've never seen that before. I had to waste an hour at midnight when i was tired after traveling all day. Also, then the soap dispenser fell off the wall. Not a great visit.

Beautiful amenities and great staff Howe I did not like that my room temperature kept being interrupted in particular in the evenings when I would set it so it would be comfortable when I got back to sleep but it kept being turned off.

The Grand Hyatt Athens is a beautiful hotel. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal and the rooftop pool facility is something everyone should take advantage of! Our connecting room door, however, wouldn’t fully close or lock, so we had to push the table and chair in front to feel safe at night. We had also booked a room with a private plunge pool for our honeymoon, to be disappointed to find out that they no longer are using the private plunge rooms and we were moved to a different room. We received a discount for the change, although the private plunge pool room was one of the main selling points for us to book this hotel for part of our honeymoon in Athens. The area around the hotel is near offices and strip clubs. We didn’t notice any access noise because of this, but know that it has affected other customers.

Their service was excellent. However, the carpets were somewhat dirty, the back alley was unappealing which was the view from our room and there were no nearby cafés for breakfast. Additionally, while there was a couple of nightclubs, there wasn't much open in the morning.

This on paper is an excellent hotel. Really lovely helpful staff One major problem ….., the elevators….. they are not fit for purpose…. It took us 15 minutes to get a lift from breakfast on the 9th floor to the lobby.

Good property for a layover of 2 days max while stopping to go to the Greek islands.

Family vacation in Athens

Great location, beautiful views. The service at the restaurant was wonderful, and so were the Bellman. I wasn’t thrilled with the front desk service, the elevators are extremely inconvenient, and Housekeeping forgot to clean our room the second night. The beds need to be refurbished… Mattresses very uncomfortable Our curtain was falling apart, And just overall room Is very outdated.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The decor was very nice. The rooms were well appointed. There are 2 roof top pools ane of them is an infinity pool with a view of the Acropolis and also another pool at the ground level with more shade. It was very easy to get around by taxi. It is only about 7 euros to get a ride to the Plaka/Acropolis area. I would definitely stay there again. It was one of the nicest Hyatt's I have been to.

Lovely hotel. Pool was amazing. Rooms clean and beds super comfortable. Kids loved it. Only downside is the lift system is a bit nuts. They take forever.

Check-in took 1 hour, rooms were ready 2 hours after the official check-in time. Not enough elevators, it took 15-20 min to get an elevator to go to the room or go back to reception.

she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The hotel is such a wonderful space with every thing one needs. We will definitely stay there again. One thing that could been better but it didnt inconvenience too much are the lifts. They don't make sense and someone travelled for 20 mins trying to reach her floor. Everyone was frustrated with them.

Amazing roof top pools and only complaint is that they shouldn't close the bar and pool so early (7:00 pm). The carpets in the corridors need cleaning too. Friendly professional staff, excellent buffet breakfast. Best value!!
