The hotel was lovely and staff were great. However, the drinks and food were very overpriced, plus there was no distinct ‘bar’ so you had to find a member of staff to order a drink. The pool area was lovely but there weren’t many sunbeds and due to the pool being surrounded on all sides by the hotel it was sometimes hard to get a spot in the sun. The private beach was really nice and the half hour shuttle was really useful. Overall, a lovely hotel but just a bit overpriced.
Lovely Sardegna
Nice clean hotel with a walking distance to the beach, marina, shops and restaurants. Nice buffet for breakfast and great choices in the restaurant menu.
This is a perfect spot in a sweet little town in Sardinia. Great access to wonderful restaurants, beaches and the marina. It is very well taken care of and the staff are extremely kind and helpful.
very comfortable stay. Visited with my husband and 11 month old baby and we had a great time. The beach was very nice and hotel and our room was very comfortable and clean, couldn’t ask for more. Many dining options in walking distance.
Very nice stay. It was quiet and clean.
The hotel was 5* for comfort & cleanliness. What was disappointing was Food & drink prices. I expect to pay a high price for a good wine but to charge €10 for beer that cost €1.5 for the exact same in the supermarket is greed. The hotel was very quit in the restaurant & bar due to this with no atmosphere Also for a 5* hotel and the fees paid to stay you would expect free water in your room & poolside and free access to spa facility’s such as the sauna & steam room. Beautiful hotel & staff but added costs let the 5* experience down I would also recommend the hotel invest in some restroom facilities at the beach. Those available to the public are disgusting
Beautiful hotel with wonderful spa and rooms. Pool area is in a big open courtyard with the restaurant adjacent to it. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Shuttle service to the beach was very convenient and staff there were amazing, especially Bruno! Highly recommend and would definitely go back.
Superb hotel of a very high standard throughout. Staff were excellent & in particular the reception personnel where nothing was too much trouble. Hotel was in a quiet yet very convenient location & beautifully clean with brilliant housekeeping service to the rooms. We had a B&B arrangement & the breakfasts were brilliant with excellent choice. The private beach & decking areas were great with a complimentary shuttle service & there were catering & refreshment facilities available. Definitely worthy of 5 stars across the board!
Positives - walking distance to restaurant options, super clean, beautifully designed, comfortable beds, nice pool (if small, around 16 loungers), decent breakfast options. Negatives : The beach area - it’s a bus shuttle to what’s described as a beach club but in reality it’s cordoned off sun loungers with no facilities other than hotel food menu that’s then shuttled to the beach - no toilet, fresh water shower and bit chaotic arranging the return bus as limited spaces. Same for the sea decking bit which is at least walkable (if you can take the heat!) Crazy prices (bottle local beer €10, paying for breakfast omelette or crepes €8, room service charge before you start €15) - for a small hotel this is disappointing. The general vibe - five star hotel, yes but - for us, no soul and just a bit stuffy that didn’t lend itself to feeling particularly relaxed or at home.
Wonderful place to relax! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mario for going out of his way to make our stay special! I would also like to thank Sara for all her help.
We had high hopes for Grand Hotel Cannigione however our experience was underwhelming. We stayed early July and the place was half empty. While the room facing the pool was nice and clean the WiFi signal was extremely weak. The breakfast buffet looked impressive but the choices were not great. If you want a simple omelet or a couple of fried eggs you need to pay. Way too many store-bought pastries for a supposed five-star hotel. Also, the TV’s in the room are way too small with most computer monitors being larger. The private beach the hotel advertises is accessible only via a golf cart shuttle that leaves every thirty minutes. No restroom facility at the hotel beach, and the water was extremely dirty, algae everywhere. Save yourself the trouble and instead rent a car and drive to one of the many beautiful public beaches or beach clubs around Arzachena. We also can’t recommend dinner at the hotel. The food has fancy names but lacks in taste and quality. If you want to experience real Sardinian food, try an agroturismo.
Reserved a Superior room with a balcony for $525 per night, received a small room no balcony (see picture). Bedding not very comfortable. Front desk not helpful. Very small pool area. Breakfast and the AC in the room were the only positives.
Beautiful, immaculate boutique hotel in Cannigione. We spent one week at this hotel and rented a car to tour the island visiting some of the most pristine beaches we’ve ever seen. The hotel is immaculate, nicely decorated and the people are wonderful. They organized a boxed breakfast for us one morning when one of our tours had us leaving the hotel at the crack of dawn. The breakfast buffet is very good with something for everyone and tables are set up by the pool which is so pretty. We walked to several restaurants and shopping some nights and it was convenient and safe. I highly recommend this hotel it you are visiting the northeast part of Sardinia.
Everything was perfect. The beach was nice . I love the front desk girl, she was so awesome.
NOT A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hotel 1. Small rooms and have to call them every day to get more towels or bathrooms essentials. 2. **Food and Beverages:The prices for food and drinks were outrageous.like the cost of a simple breakfast or a bottle of water, and the quality did not justify the cost. The hotel charged excessively for additional services. For a ride to the center of the town 5 block aways $30 euros , such as laundry, room service, or transportation, and how much they cost. Despite the high prices, the quality of service and facilities did not meet my expectations. I would not recommend staying at hotel Caniggione unless significant improvements are made. I hope the management reviews their pricing strategy to offer better value to their
Great spot 15 min away from Porto Cervo, Baja Sardinia and Palau, so very central to everything you’d need in the north east part of the island. Very clean, serene, quiet with great service including turn down service. Room service fee was expensive (12 euro) and we only ordered water but oh well. The breakfast is excellent
Loved every minute of our stay. Hotel and staff impeccable….
Great property lovely staff free underground gated parking
The hotel was very nice and kept in excellent condition. The food served was also great and there were a lot of options for breakfast. Many amenities offered as well, including a very beautiful pool. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
Great hotel
Delightful hotel staffed by delightful people.
It was absolutely fabulous. We recommend it highly. You’ll be very happy.
SMALL ADJUSTMENTS NEEDED FOR EXCELLENCE
We had a week in one of the larger rooms. Very comfortable, well furnished etc. But slightly inconsistent house keeping. Milk and teabags not always replenished so we had to ask. Not a big deal of itself but should not happen in a five star. Believe we had fresh towels every day despite the eco card. Two bottles complimentary water for the whole week. Took a number of days for the spa bath to be fixed. Breakfast fantastic. Dinner v good. Great table service. Drinks expensive. Quiet location on edge of town but easy walk to restaurants and shops. “Private” beach a few minutes ride away in hotels buggy with loungers, umbrellas etc. Some cold drinks on site. Rest and Food comes from the hotel. Excellent. We did not use the pool or gym (both of which looked superb) or spa.
Our overall experience was amazing. The hotel management team was beyond kind and generous during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this part of Sicily.
Very nice
The hotel was fine but not a 5 star hotel. The beds are unfortunately super hard and for some that may be comfy. There’s no irons to iron your clothes and you need to have laundry service done which is completely overpriced. It was 13 euros to iron one shirt.
Beautiful property with wonderful and attentive staff! The rooms were well appointed as were the general areas throughout the resort. The spa was gorgeous with topnotch amenities. In addition to the pool there are two options for swimming; a private harbor deck with staff as well as a private section of beach with food and drinks with shuttle service on the 1/2 hour from 10am-6pm. A true five star gem.
Amazing the hotel. No sure if anything could have been better (fantastic staff, great food, very nice property, service was amazing). Will definitely come back!
Very nice and clean property, the room was overlooking the pool and yet we got all the perks without any disturbance, the staff was nice and overall it was a great experience
High attention to details, staff was incredibly friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend time in la Costa Smeralda.
Full service hotel. 20 drive from city cecnter
Excellent food, outstanding service, new hotel (it was not even on Google Maps as of September 2022), pleasant pool, easy parking
great service, beautiful beach club and private front water deck. Delicious breakfast buffet. Can't wait to go back.
Very pleasant stay
A relatively new and elegant hotel in an understated kind of way. Excellent rooms and staff. Good attention to detail. Good facilities and breakfast. Fine pool area, short walk to a sea deck and a shuttle service to a beach where sunloungers and towels are provided.
The Property has an excelent Service. Rooms are extremely clean and very confortable for luggage and closet area. In the front Desk they gave us suggestions and everything was great. Nice Service to the Beach and Transportation if you decide to stay in the Hotel. If I travel to this area of Sardinia again I will go to this Hotel
Holiday in Sardinia
Beautiful hotel in quiet area and just some minutes to walk to port or nearby restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice room and excellent choice in breakfast buffet.
Excellent experience overall. Loved it.
The hotel was recently built and kept in an excellent condition. It is located in a quiet area within walking distance of the town and restaurants.
Everything was perfect: staff friendly and courteous, facilities were excellent, breakfast was amazing, great choice and the shuttle bus to Tanca Manna beach and the private beach area was such a plus. We went every day and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Quality hotel in every respect...
Great service but basic amenities for 5 stars hotel
Would recommend
Hotel is very nice. Breakfast excellent service great. Beach lovely (8k away). Music around pool kept cutting off every 3 minutes which weird and annoying but actually quite funny.
My husband and I were thrilled we chose the Grand Hotel Cannigione for our recent visit to Sardegna. It feels small and intimate, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and it has all of the amenities we could have asked for. Luca, from the restaurant, went above and beyond to make our stay special and memorable - he was fantastic. If you are planning a visit to this location, a couple of things to note, cabs are very expensive so plan accordingly. We wanted to go to a restaurant 3 km away and the ride was going to be 40 euros. However, we did walk to two FANTASTIC places 1) Li Finistreddi (a little bit of a hike), but the grounds and patio were worth it - probably wouldn't want to do at night time 2) Hotel Relais Villa del Golfo - an easy walk and beautiful patio. We had a wonderful dinner.
Superbe hôtel de petite taille et très luxueux avec plage privée et ponton privés accessibles par navette privee
Otima relacao custo - beneficio. O atendimento é cortez e a limpeza excepcional. O cafe da manha é muito bom. O quarto é grande, bem decorado e silencioso.
