The property is right downtown but it is very quiet. It is a large unique home with interesting collectibles everywhere you look.

Liked the location. Disliked cleaner being there before checkout time.

The atmosphere including Bill’s collections made our stay enjoyable.

It was a short over night stay, I would have loved to have been able to stay longer. Bill was a very accommodating host.

Beautiful rooms and a comfortable bed to sleep in. Right downtown, everything was in walking distance. This is my second stay and I will be back again.

Wonderful stay! Honestly no bad things to say about this place at all. The decor was beautiful, the host was friendly, kind, and gave helpful advice, there was wonderful continental breakfast, place was very quiet, walkable to anywhere you'd want to go. Would 10/10 stay here again

Fascinating collection of artifacts

For me, the authenticity of the house and rooms. However, the stairs were an issue.....and lack of bathroom(s) I didn't see that on the B&B details

A charming, comfortable place near the heart of St John's

Excellent!

What impressed me the most was how beautiful the house is. It was like stepping into the past. Even the location was serene among all the old colourful homes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I return to St. John's, I'm definitely coming back here.

What a find! Our host Bill has done a remarkable job over the years of filling the home with interesting memorabilia. More like a museum than a bed and breakfast. Bill is very well organized and greeted us with a free parking pass and a full tour of the house. Never had trouble finding street parking right outside the door. Many restaurants and bars are within 3 or 4 blocks and the hills give you a workout to wear off the food.

Beautiful property in the heart of my favourite part of St. John's. Walking distance to anywhere I'd be interested in going.

A pretty blue historical home in a row of colourful clapboard houses, Gower Manor is a friendly and convenient place to stay in downtown St. John's. Bill shares his home, which is filled with antiques and collectables. He enjoys meeting the people who come to stay with him. I had the room at the top of the home with a comfortable twin bed, a useful antique oak desk, an antique dresser, an antique chair, and a glassfront antique bookcase. There was also an array of interesting artifacts. Breakfast was continental: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, hot or cold cereal, toast, yogurt. It is available "any time before lunch," to quote Bill. I would highly recommend staying at Gower Manor, as long as you don't mind sharing bathrooms.

It would days to fully take everything in, as the the house is full of treasures. Also, I had the best, hottest bath in years. Perfect location to walking up Signal Hill and the coast.

Everything was great. Lovely house, good location, friendly host. I gave it a 4 because the breakfast was not what I usually expect for a bed and breakfast -- cold, serve yourself. On the other hand, we were free to eat when we wanted..... I would stay there again.

Excellent and personal host, clean and well maintained accommodation

Beautifully kept B&B-interesting decor and lovely antiques. The host was helpful and very informative about this unique place to visit. It is centrally located to most places in the area and about 15 minutes from the airport.

Me and my wife loved staying at Gower Manor! Bill gave us a splendid tour of the historic building and was very helpful throughout our stay. Loved perusing through Bill's collection of old books. Hope to come back!

Beautiful, full of antiques and treasures, maticulously cared for. Could be a museum!!

The house is a beautiful old home with an eclectic decor of antiques. Bill certainly has an eye for interior design. Central to downtown SJ near restaurants, bars and the harbour. It is a short drive to Signal Hill and other attractions. A bit hot with no AC on a sweaty summer night but definitely a cool place to stay.

Lovely bed and breakfast

Beautiful historic B & B, makes you feel like you’re in a different time period. The place is so well taken care off. It also has a nice social room to meet other guests and a large kitchen where you could prepare some of your own meals. Nice and quick breakfast options to get you started for the day.

Had a lovely stay at Bill's bnb! It was all clean and well organized, i felt very welcomed and safe! 10/10 would stay again and recommend!

I love the closeness too cityscape and the downtown accessibility. The old renovated beautiful was extraordinary. Old antiques placed in wonderful locations EVERYWHERE. I had a wonderful experience.
