Overall it was fun and relaxing... The pool area was great, not enough shading options but it's fine. The food was average quality, not fancy... To fix - beds, pillows, all the doors to guest rooms, elevators are from last century?? Will come back though...
Great location , beautiful views, kind staff. Unfortunately- the receptionist and bar area and the pool access is dependent on how busy the hotel. On days that they have low occupancy - there is no availability for the cafe/ bar area, no reception at night, pool is closed.
Nice hotel, great Christmas Market
We stayed during the Christmas market days, the hotel was packed. The market was lovely and the staff of the hotel were all great.
Feeling a vactaion may need to improved.
Spending a weekend in a hotel with realized potential in service and cleanliness. Breakfast was good considering the limitations of corvid 19. Could be much better now not at the 5-star level.
ice, but in need of updating
The place was fantastic when we stayed there years ago. It looks like it hasn’t been updated in that amount of time. It’s time to refurbish the place.
Nice visit
We were four families and it was nice. The only issue was that the pool closed at 4pm on Saturday and it wasn't clear when the pool will be opened on Sunday. The rest was great
It was nice. It is a clean surrounding, but far from the city center. we were in the under swimming pool room, how I wish that they did put us in the higher room to enjoy the view of the place. It was a disappointment that when the adjacent room start to talk loud and singing and shouting we heard it and wake us up while we were sleeping, I wish they make something about this.
Not coronavirus safe enough
Part of the staff don't keep the coronavirus rules, specially a dinning room
Ery good
Very nice stay, clean room, good breakfast. The pool was crowded.
business stay
A pleasant stay at the hotel, service was ok and the room was comfortable. The meal times were a bit chaotic as there was always a buffet and multiple tour groups, having said that the food was ok although drinks were expensive.
Cleanliness is good . My room was kept clean but wow the reception staff has a bad attitude towards guests especially foreigners . They speak one word or short sentence to dismiss your request . If you request them to assist call a taxi for you , they say do it yourself . They are just not prepared to assist at all . Ever since my arrival in the hotel I had had a problem with the door of my room . It did not open . Each time I had to go a distance to the reception which is quite distant . I would go back to the room to try it , only to find it still doesn’t open . I would walk three to four times before they send their maintenance officer . Even then it work for a short time , once I leave the room it won’t open on my return . This was my experience all the four days I spent in that hotel . They refused to change me to another room upon request . One day I came late to church , after 21 hours and found dinner already closed . I tried to explain my predicament with the two reception gentlemen and were far from assisting me even to arrange a taxi fro me to go buy food . I requested to be given the manager of the hotel to talk to find out if he cannot have a better discretion to exercise . I was very disappointed to realize that the very person who exhibited this arrogance was manager ( as he identified himself to me ) . This kind of arrogance and unfriendliness is also found in the breakfast dinning room . Those guys attired in black and white behave like bosses . Least t
The staff are Friendly and clean nice view
Lovely hotel in Nazareth
Comfortable hotel with great amenities for a family holiday.
Golden Crown Experience
The Golden Crown in Nazareth is situated a little out of the main town on Mt Precipice close to ancient Nazareth ruins but really needs a car to explore anywhere else. The hotel itself looks amazing, however, some of it's public areas could do with a refresh, sun blinds stained, advertised swimming pool closed due to maintenance and won't reopen till June. We had 2 rooms booked and they were comfortable & clean. They did stuff up the booking request of a double & 2 twins so brought down another bed and fruit & wine to make up for the mixup. Hotels.com lists self laundry, however it is a paid laundry service, however they honoured the incorrect listing with a complimentary paid laundry service. The breakfast was very ordinary, I don't know if that was partly because of restricted menu during Passover, but it was the worst breakfast of the 3 hotels we stayed in during our visit to Israel. Restaurant was buffet style only and overpriced and not very appealing so we gave it a miss both nights and drove 10 mins into town. Apart from the food side of things the hotel is still a good choice, various shops onsite too, but they are independent & pricey.
A pleasant hotel with a great view
I stayed there for 2 nights. The room was clean, air-conditioned with a nice balcony. Breakfast was good with a large variety of cheese and vegetables.
Don’t come on a Friday night or Saturday, you cannot eat anything warm.
The space was good for the family. The pool was not available and there was no hot tub. Very helpful service. Not so close to old city but taxis easy to get
Disappointed
This hotel bills itself as 4-star, but is more akin to a 2-star airport hotel in the United States. The facility may once have been quite nice, but was showing a ton of age and a lack of maintenance. The food was awful, scenic view included the adjacent trash field, it's located far from anything of interest, and lacked service. Even the air conditioning had a governor on it that kept it from getting cool enough for me to use a blanket. I don't know if there are any better options in the area (kinda doubt it), but can't recommend this hotel.
It's a nice hotel, but...
As compared to other hotels I've stayed at in Galilee, this was a nice hotel. It's clean and modern and the parking is actually pretty good. The food was quite decent and fairly priced. However, there were a couple of issues that caused problems: 1) As usual in Israel, the hotel strongly recommends that you keep all valuables in the in-room safe. There is a safe in the room and it worked, but it was too small to put my laptop in. I've stayed at a number of hotels in Israel, and those that had safes could all contain my laptop (a 15-inch MacBook Pro). Sometimes I've had to do some contortions to get the laptop into the safe, but I've never failed to get it in. Until now. The safe in my room was much too small. It could contain a large iPad, but my laptop couldn't possibly fit. The note on the safe recommended that if you don't want to use the in-room safe, you should use the safe at the reception desk. We checked--there is no safe available at the reception desk. For me this is a show-stopper. I won't be staying at the Golden Crown again because I need my laptop while I'm in Israel. 2) The bathtub is EXTREMELY slippery and the bottom is quite curved. If you take a shower in this tub, you're risking a fall. We solved this problem by putting down one of the hand towels on the floor of the tub. This made it safe to take a shower, but the room only comes with two hand towels, so it was a hassle.
Looks like a 4 star but feels like a 1 star
Minimal food for bfast Employees do not wear uniforms do not know who is an employee Felt employees did not care about my needs
Hotel staff must be updated with room status
While getting dressed 2 hotel workers just opened the door and entered my room.
Beautiful and far away
Beautiful hotel way out in nowhere. Staff acted like they were training and were very unprofessional.
excelant
it was wonderful comfort easy to go to the old town Nazareth staff was helpful nice or very nice
NICE 4 STAR HOTEL, BREAKFAST NO MORE THAN 3 STAR
IN GENERAL NICE HOTEL, FAR AWAY FOR THE CHRISTIAN PLACES, NEEDS A CAR AND WAZE, OR IS FOR GROUPS WITH BUS, THE BREAKFAST ROOM DISAPPOINTING, IT SEEMS ONLY FOR GROUPS, POOR FURNITURE, FOOD SIMPLE. IT IS A PITY, REDUCE THE LEVEL OF THE HOTEL. BUT TO REMARK IS IN RELATION TO THE HOTEL RATE.
Nice view
Located away from the center. Nice view to the south. The building is very impressive but the resturant was not open. That maybe why the breakfast was substandard.
Great view
Two night stay. Pool looked nice but closed for winter. Room was good, plenty of room. Breakfast buffet was a bit limited in choice. Dinner buffet was fine but that is the only option so second night I took a taxi into Nazareth. There is nothing nearby this hotel but taxi to town centre was 50 shekels. Quite quiet but a few nice restaurants at Mary's Well Area. Next time I visit Nazareth I would probably stay in city centre due to the location but also no problem to go back here - especially if pool is open. Wonderful views from my room over the valley. Staff were all very good.
Nice hotel with excellent view of Jezreel Valley
Good clean room. Breakfast included and food was good. I stayed out late touring and never ate dinner at the hotel. Getting to the hotel could be difficult due to construction nearby. Large pool, excellent view from room, wireless internet, and ample parking with security. There were a many large tour groups at the hotel, I was touring solo, large groups didn't provide an access problem at breakfast.
Nice Hotel, But far out of town
The hotel was nice, and the views over the valley were quiet nice. However, the location was a bit inconvenient for sightseeing, it was about a 25 min walk out of the main city centre, and there were no restaurants around the area for other dinner options other then the hotel.
A great place to stay at!
Convenient location with a balcony where you see Armageddon valley! Warm staff and good management. I definitely recommend it for everyone who would like to have a nice stay in Nazareth.
Nice hotel
This hotel is very nice and clean. My room had a nice view of the pool and valley. The only downside for some people would be its distance from the old city, but in the same way it's also a good way to relax from it
nice views and near the old city
The hotel is reasonably modern, and is situated so that each room has a balcony overlooking the hills and pool area, quite nice. The pool area is nice, but closes at 6pm on fridays. The included breakfast was dairy-based and so not much to eat, if you've a problem with dairy. Finding the place was completely impossible, but they claimed it was because a new road had been opened; their website also didn't explain how to find the place once you reached nazareth.
Golden Crown Hotel - Beautiful views!
The desk staff members went out of their way to make our trip as pleasant as possible. The staff was very customer-friendly. The hotel is a little dated, but its excellent location and helpful staff make up for this. The views of the valley below are stunning! The large windows in the lobby area make for a very impressive entrance and it is a nice location to have a drink. The buffet dinner is overpriced and not that tasty. There are better options in Nazareth.
Golden Crown in Nazereth - an excellent value
Hotel is well situated, rooms roomy with excellent view of the Israel valley (and the large open swimming pool in the inside court. Rooms are luxuriously appointed and very comfortable. Service is quick, courteous and very effective. Hotel physical plant is reminiscent of great knight halls of the middle ages (thankfully much modernized though). Hotel offers convenient access to downtown Nazareth and is overall an excellent value.
Hotel Golden Crown ´, Nasareth
Placed on the hills with a great view. But a walk of 30 minutes to the down town of Nasareth. Friendly staff, nice gym and pool area. The rooms looks old and is not cleand very well. The fridge was closed with help of some paper... Recomend it if you want to be at the pool and workout in the gym. But if you want to look a the city area I would pick something closer.
Hotell Golden Crown Nazareth
