Quirky little hotel with friendly staff, we stayed in one of the enchanted chambers. Great idea but missing a few essentials such as no mirror for getting ready (I'm 5”4 and could only see top half of my head in the mirror) not near any plug sockets. Dim lighting is great for ambiance but not great for getting ready (makeup etc). Only one bed side table so partner had nowhere to put their glass of water etc. also the enchanted chambers are in the basement and being an old building the floorboards above are extremely creaky and loud, so it was noisy until around midnight and then again from around 7am, so no chance of a sleep in. Breakfast was good. Location amazing. Close enough to stroll to the centre, but in a fairly quiet street. We would stay again but not in one of the enchanted chambers as the other rooms look a lot better from photos we saw online.
Not much to say. Great stay. Great staff.
Would stay again, fun, comfortable and great servi
I had an "enchanted" room which was really fun, decked out like something from Harry Potter. It was small but really comfortable. A bit of road noise but cut out with ear plugs. Very small shower room but a great shower too. Lots of nice touches and the service was excellent. For the price I've had to rate it very highly.
Great value for money
Room was comfortable, quiet, and in a great location just 10 minute walk from Victoria station. Room had a bath, not a shower and curtains are thin so the room was not very dark.
Lovely hotel. The room was perfectly sized for myself and my 10 year old niece. The location was vey convenient, less than 10 minutes walk to victoria coach/train/undergound stations and lots of dining options just around the corner. I would definitely stay again
Enjoyed the decor, lovely breakfast though I feel the cost was expensive.
A great place to stay!
Fantastic stay
Lovely stay. Perfect location for going to see Wicked at the Victoria Apollo theatre. They contacted us during the day to say they had boiler issues and we would get a full refund. We still decided to stay as it was only one night without a hot shower. Electric heater was provided in the room. Kept us plenty warm enough. Room was well decorated and the bedding was very soft and mattress very comfortable. We were in room 17 and had a very quiet night. Only noise we heard was in the morning from the creaky floorboards in the room above us! We had the continental breakfast which was lovely. Only comment would be, why only a toaster for the white bread!? All staff we met were very polite and smiling. Would definitely stay again and would 100% recommend.
I got the really authentic vintage experience since the heat was broken and I was freezing/chilled all night. I called reception twice and was told that the heat would be coming on soon but but then it just never turned on. In the morning they told me it was some kind of maintenance issue. They take "tiny room" to a new level. It was the smallest room I have ever seen, more like a closet and not even a single size bed. Comparable to sleeping on a couch. My room was up about four flights of stairs. Not ideal after walking around London all day. No plug adapter in the room so in the morning I went to reception so I could charge my phone. Receptionist gave me the wrong adapter (something for a shaver not a normal plug) but I didn't realise this until after I'd climbed back up the four flights of stairs. I called down and asked if someone could run the real plug up to me. She said she was on her way but (of course) never came and never called. About 45 minutes later I went down stairs and saw two staff people just staring at their computers. Not helpful at all. I could't get out of there fast enough.
Really nice stay
Really nice hotel. Room cosy with everything you needed. Shower compact but for a one night stay absolutely fine.
Do not stay in room 28. Really noisey. All we could hear was the staff at 6-7am walking and chatting and the noise didn’t stop then until we checked out. Awful night sleep
**** Lovely Stay, but Breakfast Needs Improvement **** The Georgian House Hotel offers a charming stay in a great location, just a short walk from Victoria Station. The room was quite spacious for London, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was a bit small but still perfectly fine. A nice touch was the free biscuits—always appreciated! The staff at check-in were very friendly and welcoming. In the morning, you can hear some movement from neighboring rooms, but that’s to be expected in these beautiful old Georgian houses. The biggest downside was the breakfast. They have a continental breakfast buffet and a menu, which is a bit more expensive, but not necessarily better. The whole experience felt unorganized and stressful due to too many staff members moving around without clear coordination. Most of them didn’t come across as particularly friendly, except for one lady who really knew how to treat guests properly—unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name. The food itself wasn’t to my taste, so next time, I’d happily stay at the hotel again but would skip breakfast and find a better option elsewhere. Overall, a great stay—just don’t expect much from the morning meal!
Very interesting property. Room was small but very clean and functional !
The actual hotel seems lovely including the local area, the lobby and common spaces inside the hotel etc. Just do not let them put you in room 28 - it’s tiny, it’s directly off reception so incredibly loud and as a single female traveller it didn’t feel a secure and comfortable location. Also the bed sheets were stained. I was at the hotel for a total of 9 hours so I chose not to complain or ask for a room move but it wasn’t a restful night (exacerbated by the fact it was swelteringly hot). Again - I’m sure the other rooms are charming and the hotel had a lot of promise but avoid room 28!!
I liked how easy it was just check in and get into my room I just needed to stay a night there.
Great.
Really lovely, warm welcome from the team on arrival. We dropped our luggage off earlier in the day which was no problem. On checking in we were informed that our case had already been taken to our room, which was great as we didn’t have to carry it up 3 flight of stairs to our room as there is no lift. Room was clean & well appointed with full amenities. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed in a Harry Potter themed Wizard room. The details were amazing. The hallway/staircase down to the room was also decorated to really make you feel Like you had entered Harry’s world. The key was an old school key with an owl keychain. The bedroom had bunk beds and a double bed so lots of sleeping room. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. Overall a great stay!
Great location & lovely staff
Great location, lovely staff & a comfortable room with great towels & bedding. Unfortunately no lift & we had to climb up 65 steps to the room.
Small but mighty!
Perfect small but very comfortable room for my last night in Londonyo allow easy access to bus to Heathrow at Victoria Station. I would definitely come back for a longer stay!
.
Exceptional Boutique Hotel
This is an exceptional boutique Hotel in London, about 10/15 mins walk from Victoria Station and we walked to Houses of Parliament in about 40 mins. Such a unique room which was spotlessly clean with large free standing bath, amazing toiletries and spacious . Continental Breakfast was delicious with amazing choice, we were going to upgrade to cooked breakfast but so much choice with continental we did not bother. Could not fault anything about this Hotel.
Friendly staff and lovely room. Shower water temperature could have been warmer and there’s no lift. Enjoyed our stay
I stayed there for 2 nights and it was great. Definately recommend . Close to Victoria station, nice coffee shops. Thank you
It was a beautiful, warm welcoming stay in London!
So cute!
Ideal stay
Had a great stay, was ideal for a solo traveller. Friendly staff. Felt safe. Slept really well. Great selection at the continental breakfast. Really lovely serving staff. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
I had a great stay as a solo traveller.
Wonderful hotel with great coach access.
This beautiful old house was wonderful, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The only negative for us personally was the amount of stairs, my partner has asthma so had to take our time. Would visit again.
Loved my stay here! Property was perfect location, clean, and had a lovely aesthetic to it. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!
Clean, secure, convenient
Clean and secure hotel in central London. I had the small single room. All I needed but not spacious.
Property and staff were impeccable. Location isn’t amazing but it is close enough to Victoria station.
Paying for the location
Nice location but room was a bit tired and there is no option to ventilate the room/open the window. Acoustics were bad (noisy neighbours!) and fittings were old.
Friendly staff & great location
Great location (close to Victoria station). Very nice staff, clean room, nice toiletries, and a tower fan. No lift and I was on 3rd floor, but staff took my luggage up and the stairs are wide for an old building. I would definitely recommend.
Great location, only 10 mins walk from Victoria coach/tube station. Staff very helpful. Quite noisy from room above and to the side. No lift so if on 4th or 5th floor be prepared for lots of stairs. Lovely continental breakfast and breakfast staff.
Very nice and clean. Bathroom was usually small; acoustics of very thin walls. However, the price was right, very close to our son’s home, and location great for us.
Lovely room and lobby. Location was great and room was clean. Staff was super helpful and friendly as well!
The staff were friendly and professional, very welcoming. The decor throughout was lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Our wizard family room was ideal, and extra touches made it feel like a fun, magical little stay.
Good hotel
I stayed in the tiny room, which was really well designed with the bathroom in what looked like a cupboard from the outside. It was comfortable and very clean. Good location close to victoria but it wasnt on a busy road so i slept well. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Good Location with comfortable beds and good waterpressure. Room was clean, roomservice everyday, reception 24/7 staffed and free luggage storage after checkout. Staff is very friendly
My room was clean and comfortable for a one-night stay. I was disturbed by noisy people in another room until very late (after 2am) despite staff intervening, which pulled my review rating down. This could have just been unlucky.
Nice little hotel convenient for Victoria station and a number of good eateries. Comfortable accommodation. An ideal stopover at a reasonable price.
The Georgian House is in a great location in Westminster City, about 10-12 mins walking from Victoria underground and coach station which makes transit around London very easy. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite small; no place to open the suitcase flat as there is not a place wide enough. Additionally all 3 nights we had an issue with the hot water for showering. Luckily the staff was very helpful resetting the boiler! The staff also put our luggage up and down the stairs as there is no lift / elevator which was helpful. Overall thankful for the staff and the stay was okay; I don’t think I will stay here again as I think it is possible to find a bit nicer with more amenities for the same price.
Perfect size solo room! Would definitely consider staying again!
My room was teeny but perfect with everything I needed
Only dislike was a clean but moldy smelling bathroom
Stylish, Friendly & Comfortable
A lovely, well maintained and stylish hotel, very handy for Victoria travel connections. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was clean, comfortable and secure. The only thing that could have been improved was more reliable wi-fi in my room (although this may have been better in other areas of the hotel).
It was fine. Room is very small but okay for one person. It was hard to get hot water. Location is great, just a short walk to Victoria station. Bed was comfortable.
Wonderful! This was my second time staying at Georgian House and both times it’s been terrific. Can’t recommend enough!
It was a lovely stay. The breakfast options were delightful.
I had a really positive experience with this hotel, and I’m glad I stumbled upon it so I can keep it in mind for future visits. I thought the price was very reasonable considering how central and convenient it is (just a short walk to Victoria station), and the staff were lovely. It had the personal vibe of a boutique inn but in a London setting which was a nice mix. Most importantly it was clean and comfortable.
Great location, affordable and staff were very helpful
Excellent stay - could fault the staff - friendly efficient quick check in and check out, lovely room very comfortable bed- everything we could want - thank you
Works for a solo traveler in London
Nice older style building redecorated with keeping in the style of the property
Good location, and clean, but the single room was to small and cramped, and there was no lift, or no elevator so had to Cary or lift my suitcase down the stairs.
Lovely hotel
Near to Victoria station. Breakfast was disappointing.
Excellent costumer’s service and very friendly and approachable stuff.
All inquiries and concerns were promptly addressed, an uncommon quality in our time.
Everything was great the only issued is the stairs
We had a lovely time at the Georgian House Hotel. It was a nice location which was right near the Underground. We slept well. Thank you.
Not for me. I can appreciate that this is an old building but I felt like it could do with some updates. I stayed in a tiny room and I obviously knew about the tight space, however.. the carpet looked old and everything was very creaky. Washing your hands was uncomfortable as the bathroom faucet was awkwardly installed. There was also no AC. I stayed there in October and opening the window helped but I couldn't keep the curtains up all the time, can't imagine staying there in the summer. My next door neighbors had a horrible cough and I could hear everything. Terrible wi-fi. Not the best experience.
The room was great, and location was good, but really bad internet. Most of the time I couldn't connect and couldn't do work. I had to go and set in a cafe to work.
Not too bad for a solo traveller, there’s no lift so you need to carry your luggage up.
Great location close to Victoria station. Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square etc is walkable distance about 20-30 mins. Quiet area without many great restaurants but very safe. Room didnt have aircon, only a fan so not sure how Summer would be. Ticking/dying exhaust fan in small toilet. Creaky doors and closets. It’s ok for a single person stay. No major complaints otherwise.
I really enjoyed staying in my one-person room at the Georgian House Hotel. It was small, but cosy and nice and quiet. I had everything I needed. The staff were lovely and helpful. I would definitely choose to stay here again.
Happy to be moving on to the next hotel
Room is small and sound proofing is extremely poor There is no lift and the staircase is very steep. Reception staff generally has a dour, cheerless attitude.
Location isn’t as good as I was hoping for. Victoria station is still a 10ish minute walk. Staff was very friendly and kind. Be mindful there is no lift so if you’re put on a higher floor you will be climbing a lot of stairs.
Excellent place to stay Faultless
Great one-night stay
The service in the Pimlico Pantry was excellent as was the breakfast. The only critique would be our bathroom, in the Wizard Room, was shockingly small and difficult to use. I think the room could be slightly rearranged to create a more spacious bathroom. Even a couple square feet of extra space would do wonders.
i willa always stay here when in london. such a lovely hotel. the room, the breakfast and the helpful staff are the best
Good value for the price, small but comfortable room. walking distance to Victoria Station transit options, shops and restaurants. There is no front reception, I was checked in at what looked like a dining room table. So that was odd and a bit unprofessional.
Nicely appointed rooms. 10 min walk to Victoria Station. Unfortunately, room unable to accommodate a shower. Bath had to do.
We loved our time at The Georgian House. The staff was great, the room, the service, the building, the location. We will be back, I guess that says a lot.
This has got to be the worst 4 star hotel. Rooms were outdated staff was uneducated no hot water ... Worst London hotel I've stayed.
beautiful interiors, superb breakfast, a super lovely staff and a perfect location
No elevator would make it difficult if you are not in good shape and having a room on 4 floor… After heavy rain, the window/roof in my room leaked… Guess the “funky” smell in the room came from there
Cute, clean, and lovely place to stay. No lift, but they will help get your bags to your room. The area felt safe and it was easy to get around town from there!
The room although very small was perfectly adequate for one night. The bathroom was cute, almost like it was in a cupboard. It was very noisy on the street outside until very late in the night, but I guess that's cities for you. Breakfast was lovely.
Great location! Rooms are older and we had loud guests around us with thin walls.
The small room for one has been thoughtfully designed with the traveler in mind, even if small, very comfortable with small things that matter. The staff was very helpful. Will book again as I come to London often for short visits.
smallest room i’ve ever stayed in
Room on 4th floor
Our room was a decent size. But the shower was itty bitty. Also water pressure for shower was poor. We were on 3/4th floor. No elevator, so made it difficult after a long day on our feet.
Lovely family stay in the wizard suite
We stayed in a family “wizard” room and it was wonderful. Lots of thoughtful design touches - whoever decorated these rooms really took a lot of care with all the details. The included wizard breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Also they gave my daughter some wizard coins to exchange for treats. No lift but the staff help you with your bags on the stairs, and you can request a ground floor room if you have difficulty with stairs.
This is a lovely hotel. Check in was a breeze and our luggage was taken up to our rooms, once ready, which was nice as there is no lift. I stayed 5 nights in a tiny comfy double and was pleasantly surprised. While small much roomier than I I initially thought. My daughter was in a tiny single twin while Small achieved the comfort goal. Rooms were clean beds super comfy. Breakfast for an extra small fee was great. Staff was kind and accommodating. This hotel is convenient walk to Victoria station and surrounding landmarks. CONS This hotel has no AC and while the time I spent there was mild and a great fan was provided I would definitely not stay during summer. My room was pleasant as was my daughter however there was much mold in her shower. While the staff was accommodating there appears to be some miscommunication between the night shift and day shift. Our laundry was to be picked up and wasn’t then picked up on Sunday yet no laundry went out on Sunday. I had to purchase clothing. As someone staying long term we requested our rooms be done early and this didn’t seem to get communicated Last but not least. Take your shower before 8am All hotel have their pros and cons. The pros outweigh the cons with this one. I will definitely stay at this hotel again
Excellent Stay
It was a beautiful hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent - walking distance to Victoria station as well as many major tourist attractions, restaurants, pubs etc. Great value for the money.
Charmless night
Really basic round compared to what was advertised. No Georgian charm what so ever. Extremely noisy all night, small double bed and a blocked toilet.
Fabulous stay. Great location. Loved the decor. Great choice of restaurants nearby. 10 min walk from nearest tube.
Delighted to have discovered this charming hotel! Check-in was effortless and the staff were helpful and courteous at all times. My 'tiny single' room was beautiful, stylish and tastefully decorated, scrupulously clean with a contemporary modern bathroom and quality toiletries. Five minutes walk to Victoria Coach Station, ten to the railway/underground. A comfortable fifteen minute walk to Chelsea through the elegant streets of Belgravia. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable stay in central London and would definitely recommend!
Rooms were small but clean. Keep in mind there are no lists but staff carry luggage to and from the room. Bed was comfortable. Really good location as it was 10 mins from Victoria station.
Loved this little hotel
What a great hotel! Historic building means no air and no elevator... That is very well communicated before you book. The triple room was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and have helpful information about restaurants and local insights. The coffee in the morning was very helpful, the tea selection was really nice and the walkers biscuits became a fast favorite. The location is perfect. Close to the Victoria Station, but far enough away that we did not feel like we were staying at a train station.
Disappointed in our stay. We booked a wizard room, and the room was very small. The bathroom was very difficult to use due to the extremely small space, and we needed to use the public restrooms several times instead of the one in the room. Because there was no AC we needed to open the window at night, so in the morning at 7am we heard employees complaining about each other outside the room through the open window. The bed was also extremely small for the space. The room was separate from others in a basement area which smelled musty. Overall, the room was way overpriced.
Fabulous
We stayed in the Wizarding Chamber and it was very cool! I won't spoil the surprises if you decide to stay there but the kids were very excited and the room was so fun. It was about 15 minutes walk from the theatre where we watched Hamilton so a great location. Felt safe and quiet. Breakfast was amazing! Would thoroughly recommend. Thanks for a great stay!
Awesome stay. Only points to note are steep stairs and no lifts which will be a problem for some along with no air con so if (like me) you were on the very top floor it can get a little warm. Fans in the room were provided though
Bedroom was nice. Helpful staff, but the shower wasn’t very hot. There was an issue with water pressure but as soon as I reported it, it was swiftly rectified! Good value for money, great location.
We LOVED our stay at Georgian House! Clean room, comfy bed, amazing shower and friendly staff!! What more could you ask for? 10/10 would recommend!!
My husband is currently wearing an ankle strap. They took one look at him when we arrived... and immediately, without asking, moved us from the 4th floor to the ground floor. Friendly, helpful staff throughout our 3 day stay.
Charming place with fabulous staff.
Beautiful hotel and great location. Nice neighborhood. Close to Victoria station, many cafes/restaurants, shopping, etc.

Staff was wonderful and wizard themed rooms and treats were appreciated. Had a great stay.
