Awesome space.

Great stay would be happy to stay again

The location was great, only problem was the traffic and the helicopter for the hospital . If you can sleep through anything this motel is perfect!

It was in a very good position on George Street to restaurants, cafes and shopping.

Lovely, helpful staff. Great location. Bedroom had tv which was terrific for relative who goes to sleep by tv 😁. Very comfortable bed.

👍 Like my review! We had a 3 night stay at George Street Motel Apartments in Dunedin, New Zealand as part of our trek across the country. We chose the place due to its value including a 30 minute walk to the Octagon and free onsite parking. The room layout was clean and welcoming where the living room, bathroom, and bedroom were separated from each other. The bedroom had a comfortable bed and pillows with several outlets and a separate television. The bathroom had a toilet room, sink with counter space, and a standing shower with one dispenser for both hair and body but ineffective as a conditioner. The living room and kitchen had a couch, extra bed, table with chairs, utensils, plates, bowls, pots, pans, cups, glassware, microwave, stove, toaster, kettle for drinks (coffee, tea, chocolate), cold milk, dish soap, and drying rack. The biggest issue we found during our stay was the slow, intermittent, and dropped internet. We had a bad experience when asking for an extra coffee grounds bag for the provided large coffee plunger in which the owner was not only hesitant but stated that they "never got a complaint." Although we assured the owner that we will try to make coffee with just one bag, the coffee was very weak showing that two coffee bags were needed. Had we known that this request may have caused tension, we would have simply switched over to the provided instant coffee. Despite these issues, we have faith that these can easily be resolved for future guests.

Great location close to University, Hospital, and not far from the centre of Dunedin. Free parking helps. The rooms are large and well appointed but not new.

Great staff suite a bit dated but clean and comfy. Bathroom a bit small and needs updating.

This property is well situated within walking distance of all that is needed. It was clean and the shower had great water pressure. The staff made it - very friendly and accommodating.

Owners were great to deal with and motel is in an excellent location. Four bedroom apartment is huge so great for larger groups.

The only things I could fault were a hole in the lower shower wall and no plug for the hair dryer in the bathroom which was the only room with a mirror.

Made to feel welcome from the time we arrived. Large room had everything we needed, and the hosts always had time for a quick chat. We'd certainly stay there again.

Within walkng distance to town and eatery places, Bus service was close. Clean.

Spacious and sunny. We had an enjoyable stay and would stay again. The shower cubicle was a little small.

Super helpful staff. I was upgraded to a one bedroom apartment due to the duration of my stay. It’s a little dated but clean and tidy and has all the basics. Perfect. Thank you.

Older accommodation but updated and very clean.Short drive to supermarket and ability to walk to many places close by to eat. The stainless steel shower tray tends to be slippery so take care.

Showers need a really good clean to get rid of mould. Unpleasant smell when first arriving into room. Room was very large and had everything we needed.

The accommodation was great for location to the University Oval/Forsyth Bar Stadium and shopping area. They also allowed us an early arrival, as the game we were in town to watch started before the usual arrival time of 2pm.

Location was very handy. Facilitated an early check-in upon request.

Clean, comfortable, close to town and some attractions, quiet, off-street parking. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Reasonable price. Kitchenette totally met our needs of being able to cook our own meals. Separate lounge, and bedroom. Would definitely stay there again or recommend to others.

Everything was great. The only thing that would need fixing is the pixilation problem with the main tv in the dining/lounge room. It was dropping out while trying to watch Rugby World Cup final.

The bed was comfortable & the kitchen unit was new

Excellent hotel I never ever live before, nice location and very tidy room and so nice manager Elsie, this is my list of first place hotel I recommend in Dunedin.

Exceptional service particularly when we were delayed by a disrupted flight, very roomy, clean and quiet

We stayed here with a group of boys for a school basketball tournament. The staff couldn’t have been more accomodating and helpful - nothing was too much trouble and they were immediately on hand if and when required.

Everything was as advertised. Very helpful staff.

Excellent Apartment. Exceeded our expectations. Had family over for coffee and catch ups and even they were impressed. Highly recommend.

Good location if wanting near uni

Good central location. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooms a little tired and bed quite lumpy. More attention needed when cleaning. Found a drawer full of someone elses clothes, and a tissue box of used tissues in bedoom. Good water pressure on shower but unable to enjoy as temperature changed between scolding hot and freezing cold when someone in another unit turned water on.

I loved this place.

I loved this motel. Our room (12) was immaculate. Not a stain or mark anywhere. Well stocked as a little studio apartment. Comfortable beds and good shower. I really cannot think of one thing wrong, all amazing. Better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in!

Friendly owners and staff. We will certainly be returning. A clean, comfortable, convenient, reasonably priced place to stay in Dunedin. A major for us is dog friendliness; a small extra charge to have our Labrador stay with us. For that reason we are recommending to other dog owners this property.

The apartments look a bit old and need a good maintenance going over. Painting inside and out. Some surface areas inside were not clean.

As my stay in dunedin was due to hispital the manage was very helpfull. They looked after my bag while i was at spointments untill my room was ready.

Location was great but pretty much everything else very disappointing. This has become a pretty run down place to stay and not particularly good value for money. Clean but old musty mouldy smelling, window sills peeling, bulbs out, shower water literally cold or scolding only and the list could go on and on 😪 Unfortunately cannot recommend right now far better options for not much more.

The service was amazing. The apartment was spotless. The shower pressure was the best I’ve ever experienced. Have already passed in details to friends who will be visiting Dunedin soon.

Great location close to University, city centre, stadium. and motorway, good parking, spacious units, good tea and coffee options. Older buildings well maintained but not overly modern or luxurious. Great service and a very convienient place to stay in Dunedin city.

Friendly, comfortable and well priced hotel near the University and many other locations of interest. The manager was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The room had nice touches like books, good shampoos and soap, lots of TV options. Great for families. My kids loved ice cream from Rob Roys dairy near by.

This is a high standard Pet friendly property! I have stayed in many pet friendly places before, and this is one of the best I have experienced:-)
