Really great hostel with amazing shared spaces, huge included bfast (continental plus! Omelet and empanada), super kind host. Not super close to town bust just a 15-min walk or $2 taxi.

Decent hotel

Decent hotel on the periphery of town. The owner is a nice man. Room was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, something different everyday. It is on a hill, so some people might struggle. But easily get a cheap taxi. Walk to the beach in 15 minutes. Water dispenser very convenient. Coffee shop was closed all the time we were there.

Great hostal but slightly away from the centre.

Super hotel but just a little far out of town for me. The walk up the hill was hard in the heat but taxis were easily available and reasonable. The hotel is quirky but rooms are decent. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Relaxing stay.

Harry is an awesome host.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in a king bed room. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is older, the room was on the smaller side, but had a fridge and microwave. There is no tv in the room, but we didn’t really notice or need one. The breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly. There is good wifi. There is a little courtyard with lounge seats and other seating and a water jug to refill water bottles with at the front office. Luceria was very responsive to messages and was helpful and booked our taxi to the airport for our morning flight. The location was close to the waterfront for restaurants and tours, but you do have to climb up the hill on the way back (if you have mobility issues). Lots of little shops nearby for snacks and water.

The stay was not as it seemed in other reviews. I do not have any specific complaints but I just did not find anything that I particularly liked. The lady at the front desk seemed a little stressed out and was not very outgoing but did the needful. Breakfast to go was bars and juice. I would not stay here again.

Check-in was a bit bizarre because they didn't ask for any identification and the hot tub was not full, no explanation, we tried to stop by the front desk twice when staying and checking out and couldn't find anyone. Breakfast was delightful on the roof, but it's a ways away from town and felt very quiet and a bit strange with not all amenities available

Very enjoyable inside, lovely cozy rooms, hot showers, great breakfasts. The outside and neighboring buildings do not reflect the great quality of the hotel and staff.

Staff was amazing! Breakfast was wonderful with a beautiful view of the island. Water was provided at the entrance/check-in area. Excellent outdoor area to relax. Our room was very comfortable, offering a safe, closet, fridge, & microwave. No TV, but you don't want a tv on a beautiful island. Taxi service was great. Small pickup trucks were the taxis and readily available.

This is an amazing property. About 10 min walk from everything fun. It's family owned. The owner was there to pick us up on time and even arranged for return ride. Breakfast was nice.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at Galápagos Eco Friendly in Dec 2024. Harry and his family were amazing hosts - friendly and accommodating. Harry met us at the airport and made sure our room had everything we needed. The room had a/c and was cleaned everyday and hot shower in the bathroom after a day out was wonderful. Breakfast every morning was very good. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it!

Excellent stay - recommended

Charming hotel, approx. 10mins walk from the waterfront. Service exceptional - Harry even kindly arranged a half day tour of the island (San Cristobal) for me at quite short notice. Would definitely recommend.

The best hotel in San Cristobal

Our experience at Galapagos Eco Friendly Hotel was truly outstanding! From the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of with their seamless airport pick-up and convenient drop-off at the sea port. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, offering a perfect start to each day. The staff were incredibly friendly, always ready with a smile and tons of helpful advice that made exploring the Galapagos so much easier and more enjoyable. The rooms were impeccably clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to ensure a relaxing stay. This hotel goes above and beyond in every way—highly recommended to anyone visiting the Galapagos!

Unique and nice

Unique hotel in San Cristobal! Loved the eco-friendly touch and the view when you have breakfast is AMAZING. Harry was so nice and helped us so much during our stay! He booked us our tour and ferry, and even called taxi in advance to make sure we were taken to the right place. He even made us a little to-go breakfast the morning we had to take the ferry. There's a lot of cats onsite, so cute and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Fun murals, clean rooms, nice breakfast and lots of shared lounging space. Great value and still walking distance to center of town.

Harry goes above and beyond. Our triple room was great. The hotel is sparkling clean. We loved the cats lounging around. The breakfast was fabulous. We had an early tour and Harry had breakfast early for us. He also provided transportation from the airport, which was great.

Harry who runs the place with his wife is a 5-star host. We stayed 8 days and it was wonderful! We had a delicious breakfast every morning and Harry even helped us get some excellent day tours. If you're going to san cristabal island, galapagos and need a place to stay look no further. Stay at the Galapagos Eco Friendly hotel you'll be glad you did.

Amazing stay close to the port!

Very fun & quirky hotel - reasonably priced, delicious breakfast, and Harry was amazing and attentive! Loved the outdoor areas and view from breakfast. Beds were comfortable and shower was heavenly after a long day adventuring! A 10-win walk to/from town (including the hill) -- 20-min to playa mann.

Harry and his team were so nice and helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend Galapagos Eco Friendly to anyone.

Beautiful property with amazing staff who were very attentive and helpful throughout

While San Cristobal doesn't have a huge infrastructure, the Hotel Eco Friendly was a great spot for our family. The hotel felt very safe and quiet with an incredibly welcoming staff, delicious breakfast and comfortable rooms. It was clean and relaxing and a short walk downhill to town. There is access to a washing machine as well as spots to hang wet items from your days on the water. I will add if you have a cat allergy there are MANY cats at this hotel (and all over town) so that might be something to consider. We loved it here and I would highly recommend!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Transportation to the hotel upon arriving at the ferry and departing from the airport was arranged and even paid for. We took a taxi from downtown one day because it was raining and it was only $2. Everything was very clean and breakfast was great. Filtered water is available 24 hours a day near the office. There is a beautiful view from the dining area on the 3rd floor.

Property said it had transportation from airport to hotel and we confirmed this transfer 3 times prior to arriving , but we’re still left at the airport without a pick up. We hired a taxi to take us to hotel. Description also said free area shuttle. Yet when I asked about the shuttle to go to the park, I was told they would call us a taxi which we paid for again. Much construction taking place which was fine for us. Location is not in the area of restaurants or conveniently located. It is walkable to stores and eating areas however. No working TV. Staff was very helpful in securing sold out ferry tickets for us to go to Santa Cruz. So happy for that. Also gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and breakfast to go. We preferred Santa Cruz Island over this one as well.

Great people and clean room

The owner was friendly at check in but not around much and there weren’t any other staff. We received no information or maps about the area etc like we have at other locations. It was in an inconvenient location with no restaurants around. It was difficult working out transportation to the ferry when we were leaving as nobody was around to assist us. Breakfast was fine and we could have eggs with our continental breakfast. I was disappointed as the ratings were so high on trip advisor.

Very nice hotel in a quiet location about 10 minutes walk from the port/center. Our room was very clean, the beds were confortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the owners were super nice. We had a wonderful 3-night stay there!

Breakfast Rocks!

Great hosts! Locally owned, which is important to us. They went out of their way to prepare a gluten free breakfast for me both mornings. Great breakfast. Clean room with A/C. Property is a 10 min walk up a good hill, away from the hub downtown, but you can easily take a taxi. We enjoyed being a bit out of the center. Would stay there again!

The hotel was an oasis from the town outside the walls. The courtyard offered a respite from activities and provided us a comfortable spot to rest at night when we got back from our activities and dinner.

Comfort and value in a wonderful package

The owner, Harry, is a stand up guy who met us at the airport, saw to our every need and was attentive and proactive in ensuring he and staff met our needs. The room was very nice, providing excellent value for money. Being off the beaten path means it was quiet in the evening and restful, a short walk to the town (10 mins) gave the opportunity to us to see some of the real Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Bith my wife and I enjoyed breakfast which was included, time with the rescue cats and the excellent wifi internet - which we learned at subsequent hotels is NOT guaranteed. Based on the chats with Harry sounds like this place will continue to grow into an even more exquisite gem.

The family that runs this establishment may be the nicest and friendliest folks I have ever met. Their hotel is wonderful and is only outmatched by their welcoming ways. Thank you for helping to make our stay on San Cristobal so perfect!

I booked the place thru Expedia with no preparation and in a hurry. The first impression was not favorable. Nobody met us at the airport and after a short taxi ride the empty hot street next to the metal gate was not a welcoming sight. We had to wait for long ten minutes until the gate was opened. Do not repeat my mistake. This is not a Mariott or even Motel 6. Just a man and wife operation with some hired help. They are really busy even between seasons. If you want things to be ready for you, send an advanced warning at least one or two days ahead. From day two everything clicked into place. Harry and Lucrecia are wonderful hosts. Simple breakfast with a nice view on the third floor of the building is ready by 7AM. Good coffee, fresh juice on ice and plenty of fruit with the usual huevos fritos or scrambled tostados with butter and cheese. Laundry is quick and neat. Important for us, since my wife and I travel light. Harry is also a licenced quide, he takes guests on tours practically every day and is very busy (see above). Nevertheless, he is responsive and takes care of difficult requests with ease and impressive efficiency. Ask him to stop the rain, - he will say no problem. Ask him to set up a snorkeling tour and the gear will be brought to you to your room to try it on. As soon as he got to know us a little better, his suggestions and recommendations were spot on.

The front of the Eco Friendly is likely to produce a negative impression and the walled in courtyard is not very attractive. The walls and gate promote privacy, however, and the room I stayed in was clean and rather spacious. The breakfast area is nice and the breakfast fare was both good and attractively presented. Unfortunately, the portions were small and the cooks do not take special orders. When I asked if I could have scrambled eggs, I was told to please sit down and that I would be served shortly. I was never asked what I wanted for breakfast during my three day stay. Steady taxi traffic in front of the building provides easy access to every part of town and the owner is attentive.

Harry and his wife run an excellent hotel on Santa Cruz Island. The breakfast (included) was exceptional and the view of the bay while eating is perfect for the start to your day. The room had a safe, microwave, fridge, comfy bed and the shower had plenty of water pressure. The staff was always friendly and always available to answer any of your questions. They will also meet you at the pier/airport when you arrive. No complaints, had a fabulous time. Thanks!

Great stay at the Galapagos Eco-Friendly!

Had a great stay. Our favourite things about the hotel: airport pickup upon arrival, daily breakfast included with breakfast area overlooking town, nice social area, and most importantly, very very clean. It is a bit of a walk uphill from the oceanfront area of town, but we really enjoyed the walk, and allowed us to see an area we probably wouldnt have ventured to. If you dont feel like walking, there are tonnes of cabs all over town which cost only a few dollars. Would definitely recommend.

This is a very nice hotel. Free shuttle from airport (both ways). Very nice breakfast with an excellent view on the rooftop. The owners, Harry and his wife, are super friendly. The room is of course very clean. I also liked the secured front yard area. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Galapagos Eco Friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. Lucrecia and her staff always made sure we were happy and satisfied. The hotel was a bit father than we would have like from the port and shopping, but still easily walkable (5-10 min). Would stay here again and highly recommend.

A fantastic place to stay in San Cristobal

This is a fantastic place to stay. Harry for Manager of the hotel is very attentive and very easy to work with. Our room was spotless, the air conditioning worked well, the breakfast is amazing, and the whole property is just very, very nice. Would highly recommend this place!

Our experience here was very consistent with other reviewers'. The room was fine (small but clean, decently comfortable but not over-the-top, though we did REALLY appreciate having both a mini-fridge and a microwave, plus the hot water in the shower was key). It was generally pretty quiet, as it's tucked away from the street, though we did get some neighbor noise, as the rooms are pretty close together. WiFi worked well though not in the front lounge area by the office. The breakfast is plentiful and there's a rotating hot option; the view from the breakfast area is lovely. We really liked that they have a water dispenser for refilling bottles. There are several friendly cats on the property, which we loved. The courtyard area has multiple spots for lounging or even enjoying a meal/drink. The hosts, especially Harry, were very welcoming and helpful. They arranged (and paid for) rides to and from the airport, let us check in early, etc. They also had great communication before we arrived. I couldn't tell the specific ways in which they are eco-friendly, beyond having the water dispenser. The walk to the water and main parts of town is downhill maybe 8 minutes; we didn't mind this because it means the property is quieter and less busy, but for some it's important to be in the center of things, so this is worth noting. I thought it was good value for the area.

We had a fantastic stay. The property is really quirky and unique, which we loved. The owner Harry was absolutely delightful, and made us feel very welcome. They even packed us a breakfast to go when we had an early morning tour! The rooms were super clean, the AC worked great, and the wifi was fast. You can walk to town (about 10 min), or it's easy to take a cheap taxi. They also supply drinking water which really helps cut down on plastic bottle use. We would very happily stay here again!

Excelente lugar! El único detalle es que queda un poco lejos a pie del área del malecón comparado con otros hoteles/ hostal pero se puede llegar. A pesar de que quedaron en buscarme al aeropuerto pero cuando llegue no estaban. Lucrecia es muy amable y me ayudó a contactar un taxi para poder ir a la parte alta de la isla también me complació en el desayuno brindándome una súper porción de proteínas. También ella tiene una tienda en la misma calle del hotel y un día fui a comprar agua luego de mi llegada de un tour y estaba súper cansado y fue tan amable que me llevo al hotel en su bus. La habitación es amplia y tiene nevera. El día de partir en la mañana iba a llamar a un taxi pero el esposo de Lucrecia me llevo en el bus del hotel al muelle y me entregó snack para que me lo llevara en el ferry. Esta acción compensó el día de mi llegada que no fueron a recogerme luego de haber coordinado hora y vuelo de llegada. Para finalizar lo recomiendo y agradezco su amabilidad.

Harry Jimenez was the best part of this hostel. He is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The hostel is a bit of a walk from the beach, but worth it. Clean rooms, lovely breakfast, friendly family business. And muchos gatos adorable!

Eco Friendly Hotel is Very Friendly!

I loved this place! Owner Harry and his family were very welcoming and helpful! The room was very clean and comfortable and the fun outdoor hanging chairs added a neat vibe. I liked that the hotel was off the beaten tourist path but a very short (less than half a mile) to the main dock side walkway with restaurants and shops.

We made arrangements with property to be picked up, we waited for an hour, they never showed and then said well you weren't there at 9:00 so we left-but our ferry was late and being local they should have know that. Bottom line is they didn't wait. And then argued with us about it. The VIP gift was delivered at the end of our time there, didn't have time to drink the wine so we had to leave it. The property is ketchy but there are cats and dogs running loose so the rooms smell like cats. There's a hot tub but you can only use it during the hours no one is there (3-8PM) so it's really like not having one. The property is pretty far on the edge of town, you need a taxi. There's nothing around it.

We loved it!

We loved this accommodation. The proprietor was friendly, spoke English, and Helped with arrangements. There was laundry service available on site. Airport transfers were available. Everything was clean and well cared for. They have their own water filtering system so you can use the tap water. Beach towels were available. Breakfast was on the top floor overlooking the sea. Breakfast was varied each day and delicious. Harry, the owner, was always available and responded to any questions or concerns immediately. This was our favorite accommodation of the three islands. The walk to town was a little challenging but the taxi was always available for $2.00.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! The staff was always available, accommodating and friendly. The owners are really nice and they always gave tips for things to do around the area. We walked around late at night and we felt safe around the area!

The outside patio area was very welcoming. We met several guests just sitting outside chatting. It was great to have a nice general place to sit and get to know guests from other countries with similar interests.

Loved this place

Harry, the owner really does go the extra mile! From meeting us at the airport to ensuring we got to the right place for our inter-island ferry, he was always happy to help. The bed was comfortable, room had a safe, good aircon & breakfasts were our favourite during our whole Galápagos stay. They varied daily but the French toast we had one morning was so tasty & besutifully presented. Harry even arranged snacks to go on a morning when we had to leave before breakfast. As others have said, it is a 10 minute walk from the Malecon but we were happy enough to be somewhere quiet & it helped walk off dinners!

The hotel is great for an overnight stay on the island. The owner picked us up from the airport and was very friendly. The hotel had a beautiful breakfast and the dining area had a great view. This is a 3 star hotel as the bed linens and towels were clean but worn. I do recommend.

Great week in San Cristobal

We had an excellent week at eco friendly on the wonderful san cristobal. Lucrecia was a great host who looked after us. Great advice on tours and where to go. The hotel is comfortable and a great location. It is up a hill but its only a short walk, if you dont feel like walking taxis are everywhere and very cheap.

Harry, owner was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable

Charming and homey B&B at the top of the town. A good plane to stay if you want complimentary pick-ups from the ferry and airport, advice on what to do or where to go, and a friendly family vibe. The garden is beautifully decorated with shaded hammocks, and the view from the roof is lovely in the morning. Only downside - it’s a 15 min walk uphill from the beach. But, cabs are cheap and easy to call - plus we enjoyed the walk. We stayed here twice.

Harry was wonderfully helpful. He picked us up at the dock and transported us. He was pleasant and kind. He helped us out with some medical issues. His English is excellent. A perfect stay.

Very Friendly, great service for the price

Very friendly host. They were kind to help me with doing my laundry. Breakfast was excellent, they sent a van to pick me up from the airport. The owner prepared a bag of snacks for me to take to my next trip to Santa Cruz. The hot tub is a plus, but I recomend that you let them know when you are planning to use it specially during low season so they can have it ready for you.

I had an amazing time on my first visit to San Cristebal! Harry and Lucrecia were great. The room, the food, the service - everything was top notch. I was volunteering on the island and they accommodated my schedule. They went out of their way to help me the entire time. Highly recommend!!

Great location, clean place, would recommend!

Great location- just a few blocks from downtown. It is located a little higher up so has a beautiful view of the ocean and downtown from the breakfast area! Clean place. Owners are really responsive and accommodating and breakfast is great (different every day)! Would definitely recommend to others to stay!

Galapagos eco friendly is a wonderful, helpful, and very friendly place to stay in San Cristobal! I love how they help turn the cats on the island into well cared for housecats… yes, that’s eco friendly!

Better than excellent

Especially in the service category, Harry, the owner went overboard to take care of our every need, from arranging ferry tickets and tours, to setting up an extra breakfast room in the courtyard since my wife couldn’t do the stairs. He also picked us up at the airport, and took us for departure. Two “extras” of note were the high-quality breakfasts, and purified drinking water from the sink faucets in the room. The bed was fine, and the shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The internet was better than we had on Santa Cruz Island, albeit slow compared to that on the mainland, as we understand is true for all the islands. Any complete review has to note some deficiency, and for that all I can offer is that the cable TV wasn’t working, a victim of the Covid induced depression on the island. It’s also worth nothing that the hotel’s location is at the edge of the village, a 12 minute walk to the waterfront and most restaurants, or a $2 taxi fare.

Owners very sweet and helpful with advice snd arranging tours and ferry. Breakfast was great. Location convenient, an easy stroll into town.

Fantastic two stays at Eco-FRIENDY!

Fantastic choice for a stay in San Cristobal. Harry the owner is helpful, friendly, gracious and provides personal and tailored service. Included airport and pier pickup and drop off. Characterful rooms and outdoor areas (hammocks!) and good breakfast. Would not hesitate to stay at Eco-Friendly on a future trip.

Th Eco Friendly was great! Located up the hill from town it's not a bad walk into town and a $2 cab ride back. The owners were friendly and knowledgeable about what was available to do, suggestions of where to eat if you knew what you were looking for, and provided a lovely breakfast every morning. All in all a pleasant stay.

Excellent place to stay. Look forward to coming back. Harry and his family are accommodating and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed the different breakfast options every day as well.

Nice place gruff hostess

Nice place about a 10 minute walk up the hill from town. What we liked - large air-conditioned room with fridge and microwave. Large breakfast with limited hours only 7 am - 8:30 am overlooking the bay. Water throughout the facility was purified which was amazing - so no need for buying or purifying your own water. It would be nice if the room had cups in it to make tea - only paper cups available. Our only negative was the main lady in charge. When we arrived we were supposed to be picked up. When we came out of the airport we didnt see anyone at arrivals so we hopped into a $2 taxi (no big deal). When we arrived to the hotel it was hard to find anyone but when we did the main lady in charge started to get upset with us that we didnt find the driver. Lets just say this was not the welcome that we hoped for. The owner came back from the airport and was absolutely lovely making us feel very welcome. Then a bit after we had arrived and used the toilet it was plugged so we asked for it to be unplugged. Again no big deal. At breakfast the main lady came over to my wife and said, "so you plugged the toilet with toilet paper or garbage, eh?" We just didn't even know what to say to her as the toilet for one was already plugged when we got there and for two was just not how we are used to being spoken to at a hotel. So, overall a great place tainted by the experiences with this woman.

A Lovely Stay

If you are staying in San Cristobel this is the place to stay. Harry the owner and his wife run this adorable place. Harry came and picked us up at the airport and showed us around town before we headed out for the day. My husband and I were only in for a day which is not enough time, but Harry gave us great suggestions and even coordinated a private tour so we didn't feel like we missed anything. There's breakfast in the morning with a lovely view that is cooked right there something different everyday. Harry is working on putting in a pool but there's already a hot tub which we enjoyed after a long day of sight seeing.

While the property was on the outskirts of town making it a cab ride to go for meals the hosts more than made up for the location in hospitality. This place is well taken care of and immaculately clean. The information and services they provided were top notch. Highly recommend!

The proprietors make you feel like family! They were helpful in organizing tours, getting good taxis, and even made me a sandwich upon departure as I had to get going before breakfast! Super cute couple. Lovely place. I highly recommend;)

This was my least favorite hotel stay in my life. I am highly allergic to cats and there were cats everywhere on site. My allergies to cats aren’t just hives, they trigger asthma so it’s really hard to be objective about anything else in the property as oxygen depletion tends to put me in a bad mood. The hotel is also atop a steep hill from town, I’m a runner who normally would love a challenge but again, when one can’t breathe it’s just not welcoming to climb such a hill. There were tiny bugs on the wall and throughout the room as well, looked like nats. The bed service was daily which was nice. The shampoo/soap dispenser in our room was never filled. The other huge downfall were the roosters. We were put in a room furthest from the front of hotel and on second floor and that room was incredibly hard to sleep in after 2 am as that is when those roosters started crowing. I’d never stay here again and certainly would not recommend.

Spacious and very clean rooms. Staff all very friendly. Owner Lucrecia was very helpful in booking tours and offering transport to the airport and pier. Lovely, varied breakfasts. Would stay again.

Wonderful Experience

We had an amazing experience with Galapagos Eco-Friendly. We were picked up from the airport right when our flight got in. They helped to coordinate for us a great snorkel/boating excursion which we loved. They set us up with our ferry to Santa Cruz and drove us to the dock when we needed to go. Breakfast every day was delicious. They made us breakfast early the day of our ferry. Taxis were very easy to take down to town if you did not feel like walking. Highly recommend this stay!

También tienen transporte hacia el puerto y aereopuerto para la llegada y salida. La limpieza y la buena condición de las facilidades otro punto a su favor. Operado por familia.

Myself amd two other friends stayed. We loved the 3 single bed option. It was nice for everyone to have their own bed. Room was clean. Harry the owner picked us up at airport. From pick up to check out everything was perfect.Breakfast was awesome and something different every morning. We ask for some recommendations of things to see amd do. Harry even helped us hire a taxi for the whole day.We were 3 ladies a little nervous but Harry made us feel at home. We were very well taken care of. While we were there we spoke to another guest that was having issues with his airline ticket to another island. He said Harry fixed the issue for him. If you are travelling to San Cristobal please stay here. You will not be disappointed

It was a cool place to stay, but Harry was not there when we stayed there. He was a main draw for us. If I'd known that, I would have stayed closer to town. Lucretia did a great job with breakfast, though they ran out of granola the second morning.

Hidden Gem

The owner of this hotel is one of the most friendly and helpful people we encountered in the Galapagos. Our flight was 6 hours late and there was no wifi in the airport to contact them, but after getting our bags, there he was right outside with a sign to pick us up. Got to the hotel and he told us to quickly put our things in the rooms and he would give us a lift to the waterfront (10+ blocks) so we wouldn't miss the sunset. Rooms were comfortable and had AC (yeah! after multiple days without elsewhere). Everything was clean, shower was great, breakfast was served by the owner. Check-out was early (9 am), but we wanted to go to the town to walk around before our 1 pm cruise. He offered to keep all of our luggage in his office and then meet us at the dock around 12:30 with it all. Couldn't have asked for better service. Location is a bit away from the water and an uphill walk, but taxis are only $1-$2 if you want to get a ride back to the hotel.

Amazing hospitality in this hotel. You will feel like family. Great views from the terrace. Only a short taxi ride or walk from the main strip. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

Excellent experience!

My friend and I had a wonderful experience with our stay at EcoFriendly Galapagos! Harry and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly, and Harry went out of his way to accommodate our requests and make sure our visit was a pleasant one. The location is off the main strip but is an easy walk or inexpensive taxi. The breakfast was yummy! I would definitely stay here again if I returned to San Cristobal.

Eco Friendly - Great place to stay on San Cristoba

The hotel is clean and colorful. After spending 7 nights sleeping on a ship, having a large comfortable bed and hot shower was very welcome. Rooms had plenty of space, nice fridge to keep your favorite beverages cold and TV. Breakfast is served on the top floor and cooked specifically for you when you arrive. There is a great view overlooking the town and harbor. Harry and his wife make you feel like family. He shuttled us to the main pier and helped connect us with our charter captain for the journey to Espanola - we would have been at the wrong pick up point had we tried to do this on our own. The kitties are playful in the courtyard. The location is a bit out of the main part of town but well worth the walk up the hill.
