Check in was wonderful. Extremely friendly staff. Conveniently located to restaurants, coffee shops and the Sauder school of business. Beds weren’t too comfy but oh well. I would definitely stay again if needed.

Really clean and convenient

Scrupulously clean and cozy. Lots to do on campus. We had a gorgeous view. Close to the airport to boot.

The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Love that I had a full kitchen. I had a car, no issues with parking. If you need public transportation there is close easy access to buses. Will recommend to friends and would stay there again

Excellent location if you need to be at UBC. It is slightly confusing that you need to go to the residence to check in and then go to another building (which is the hotel). My issue was each night at 10pm there was a smell (food take out from another room maybe?) that was vert intense and unpleasant. It went away after a couple of hours.

Affordable and Convenient

A one night stay while our son had an overnight hospital stay. It is not big but has a full kitchen and was reasonably priced for the night. We would stay there again

Great location! Was on the 5 floor with lovely views! Very convenient to the the university and transportation. There is a Tim Horton’s in the building! Get the app to order ahead because the line was always long!

Great to be amongst the University of British Columbia's campus. Very nice atmosphere. Room was clean. Only issue was the T.V. would not stay connected to the internet.

The proximity to UBC Hospital is very convenient.

The area was safe and it felt close enough to downtown without the crazy traffic from the Taylor Swift weekend. It was the perfect place to stay.

Was a well appointed room- very safe place to stay. Even coming home late at night I always feel safe. Easy to get public transport to Downtown and nearby shopping. Staff were helpful and friendly ❤️

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Stayed at their signature studio, which has enough space and is modern. Distance from downtown Vancouver is about 20 minutes by car and a bus terminal is just a block away. I highly recommend staying here

the hotel was super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. the only thing is that check in is in a different building, which is a little inconvenient in the pouring rain. the full kitchen is great but it would’ve been nice to have a few water bottles in the fridge. i also could’ve used a full length mirror. otherwise, everything was really pleasant and comfortable. received a very warm welcome from front desk and there’s a tim horton’s right next door for morning coffee.

Great stay!

We were here for the T Swift concert. This was a great price and it was SUPER clean. Nice little kitchen. The actual room was tiny but it worked for us! Staff was lovely!! Things closed kind of early around the area but we didn’t explore that much. They had one of those stores where you put in your card, grab what you want and walk out. So, there were some snacks nearby. Tim Hortons very close but closes at night. I’d recommend for a 2 night trip or so!

It was a good day of visiting my daughter was a student. It was nice to be on campus.

Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. The suite had all the necessities for a short stay and cleaning staff replaced soiled towel with clean each day during the stay. Highly recommend Gage Suites for its accommodations and location.

Staying on campus at UBC was a unique experience. Although I didn't have business with UBC directly, it was far cheaper option than staying in the city but came with the benefit of Campus life style - great walking, cafes, access to parks and recreation. All universities should have hotels - it is perfect. The facilities were modern and could compete against all 4 star hotels including the international chains.

Hotel located on campus is always a good location. Price is fair for location and condition of hotel. It is still like new condition. The rooms are small but you have everything you need and a nice bed.

On campus. Pretty quiet, very clean. Small space, but everything you need.

Hotel check in is in the other side in a dorm I believe and parking is about $14. Inside has kitchen and refrigerator which is nice. Needs more toiletries when ask for more the cleaning lady ask which room I was in. It is pretty quiet unless someone told loudly you can hear it. The bed sheets kind of have dark spots and the room temperature is control at 22 degrees kind of cold.

Second time staying here. Although the room is a bit snug, the room is ultra-clean and the welcoming staff are great. If you ca navigate the initial check-in, it's quite fun to be on campus!

Close to coffee shop

Great option for visiting Vancouver especially if you have a car or don’t mind using Uber. I loved the fully stocked kitchen, well designed and clean bathroom. Laundry room available and quick food and supply stores nearby. It was great to be on campus. Also close to attractions like the botanical garden and wonderful Museum of Anthropology. Driving downtown takes some time. Close to half an hour and longer with traffic due to lots of construction going on. A nice balance between a busy active day in downtown Vancouver and a quiet evening at UBC.

Nice hotel sized room but with a full kitchen. Had a nice view to North, see pic. Did not eat at Tim Hortons, but it is conviently in same building.

Excellent room and facilities, very clean and new. Great laundry room and super friendly staff.

Such a fantastic experience and stay. Staff were friendly, generous and helpful. Arrived very late at night and had a very quick and easy check in. 10/10 would recommend and stay again!

Gage suites was a very clean and adequate hotel. It is very far from the downtown and difficult to get an Uber to come to the correct entrance on campus. Would only stay again for business at the university.

Check in was across the street from the building where we stayed, street parking $20/night sometimes a good distance away from the building in which we stayed. The building we stayed in was in excellent condition and very comfortable, well lit if needed, kitchen was very well put together. Staff very kind and helpful

The room was very clean and cozy. Everything you would need for a short term stay. Staff were friendly and the building was quiet. A keycard is required for access to the building which is a nice security feature.

I found the location to be convenient for my needs. It was easy to get downtown and to the airport.

Clean and quiet room. Kitchen is stocked with all the basics for cooking as well as dish washing necessities. Big fridge, plenty for at least 2 people. Affordable. Definitely good value. Only note for improvement would be the bedding: My bed only had a thin sheet thing on top of the flat sheet, no duvet or quilt. Not sure if this was only in summer (August) but I felt this could be improved.

If you don't care about being downtown, this location is excellent. Right on the UBC campus you can walk to fun adventures or hop a bus at the on- campus transit center. Our room had everything we could possibly need for even an extended stay. We'll definitely stay there again

This was a beautiful place to stay very quiet clean affordable. My only complaint is you had no control of the thermostat

Campus is huge and there’s a lot to do within campus alone. Away from downtown so pretty quite during summer.
