Second time, great little stay!

The room we got is cramped because of how the furniture is organized. Nice to have a big tv, microwave and fridge. Wifi wasn't bad. The walls are thin so you might hear the people next door if they're loud. Convenient location, has a park across the street, gas station and fast food nearby.

Room was extremely stink. Had dog poop smell. They didn't have any other room left but asked me to upgrade to next for 40 dollars per night. Finally I decided to take my money back and went to Travelodge

You get what you pay for and for $75 a night I'd stay here again.

I didn't like that it was not what was depicted in the photos and the price for this motel room was too high. Once we got there and wanted to cancel 2nd night we could not! There were no security locks on the doors. It appeared people are living in this motel on a full time basis. Not too impressed with it being on a booking website and not being what it says it is!

Reasonably good value for money.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed one night and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness. The beds are extremely comfy also. Would recommend to anyone!

I liked the nice service and had a good sleep. I thought the deposit was very high for a small hotel at 150 dollars, I have never paid that high of a deposit at any hotel or motel. Also there was a bit of a mix up, I booked 2 rooms through expedia, and then one room was with a kitchenette at a higher price than what I was given on expedia, so they gave me a different room, and they were supposed to cancel the other room with kitchenette with expedia so that I wasn't to be charged for that room, I hope that was done. Can expedia confirm that with me?

A friendly, inviting place to stay in North Bay

The staff were very friendly and provided me with anything I asked for. Ice...a real glass for my cocktail. The room was nice and warm when I got there and I was open to able two windows for some fresh air too. I slept really well - nice hot shower too. The next morning I had a Continental breakfast as well. I would stay there again, and the staff was really friendly.

Room was too hot. Could not control the temperature

Out dated and stained furniture. Bedding and curtains outdated as well. Unpainted wooden 2x4 support under bathroom countertop supporting it up. Obvious visual stains on all the cloth covered seats of the chairs in my room..

NICE PEOPLE,,,QUIET STAY..REASONABLE PRICE ..WOULD GO AGAIN

The staff were accommodating and helpful however the room need tlc. Upon entering our room it was overpowering with room freshener. I spoke to the receptionist and she came and assisted, said we could have another room, however we had already brought our things in. The chair was badly stained, black marks on towels, no no slip mat for bath/shower. Only 2 pillows that were way too high. I asked for a lower pillow and they did give me one. It was also over priced compared to other motels we said in. I realised I left my mobile phone in the room and had to drive back and they were very honest and had it for us,.

The smell was horrible. I had to buy a candle to burn and it still smelled bad. The place was dirty. The sheet was so thin I could see the mattress pattern. Wish I paid a little more and stayed in a better place.

Great location.

Very comfortable, cozy and clean. Owner's should drop the continental breakfast from the amenities list. Powdered cream for coffee and a bagel leaves a lot to be desired. Showerhead water had little pressure ... water is very hard.

A bit run down but suited our purpose

Found a spider in the bathroom near the shower. Please sanitize the entire bathroom and guest room. Dismally poor WiFi services. It was absolutely frustrating. Please also improve your WiFi services.

Very clean and comfy. Second time we stayed at Franklin motel nice people.

The proprietors were quite kind and very accommodating. The room was clean and very quiet. Mom and pop motels offer a certain convenience that corporate chains cannot provide. If you are looking for antiseptic accommodations, look elsewhere. Personally, I prefer having my truck outside my door in case I forget something, clean sheets, and and WiFi that works. The Franklin met my needs. I would stay here again.

5 km from the highway

It's not close to the highway. It's an old hotel that they have attempted to clean up. It is cheap if you just need to stop and sleep. There are some sketchy looking people living or staying there. There is a convenience store attached to the front of the hotel and that is where you check in.

Affordable

This hotel was affordable which was what I need right now but I had a concern with how the room doors lock. There is no deadbolt on the inside or even a chain. The doors open with a key from the outside but that leaves you exposed to staff or anyone who gets a key able to enter. I not generally paranoid about this but I thought this was a bit odd. The fact that breakfast was included was amazing at that price, it was well done and fresh. It does seem a bit odd to prepare food in a convenience store but I was impressed, you can take it back to your room which to me was the best option. Overall for the price pretty good if you can get past the door lock and breakfast.

It was quiet and clean. Our dogs were allowed in. Staff very pleasant

Room was nice and comfy. It was winter. I'd like to see in the summer. There's a pool outside of the room and the lake is across the street.

One night only

We only stayed one night. The room was quite small but the bathroom was a good size. It was clean but too much deodorizer had been used.

Nice staff

The check in staff was very kind and gracious. I noticed the sheets were not clean, so she took care of this right away and lowered the hotel bill. We were quite comfortable and satisfied with our stay.

Hot water in shower could be hotter for me. Clean room and quiet area.

Good little motel near lake for a great price

We arrived for a short overnight stay and we were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. It was compact but included microwave and a little fridge. We were quite comfortable there on our short stay. The free breakfast provided the next morning was a bonus which included cereal, bagels, yogourt, juice, coffee and tea. We would definitely stay there again.

It was a last minute surprise.

I was sitting in a fast food restaurant 7 hours from home when I booked a room. It was nice that is had the reserve now/pay later option since I was travelling with cash (I know, who does that these days right?) Anyways, we arrived about 8:30ish and the check in was very fast and efficient. The lady behind the counter was very friendly. The room was a good size considering I was with my husband, adult son, and large breed dog (we still had room to move around without tripping over anyone).

Peeling paint, marginal breakfast, bad coffee. No coffee maker or hair dryer. Will stay in chain motel next time. Owners nice enough.

they didnt change the bedding from the last client. We didnt notice it till the next morning then we asked the maid to change it and she did it. Other than that everything is not bad.
