Loved the resort !! All the staff was amazing, everything you need they got it. They made our trip extra special , the managed all the details before we arrived. The food is amazing !! There is so many wonderful things to say about the resort , I hope I can go back soon.

Ok great okace

This is an older Four Seasons and it’s starting to show its age. It’s not as modern and high tech like the other Asian locations like Tokyo Otemachi or Seoul. Still, the old school feeling worked since it’s Bali and not much is new and modern anyway. The service was legendary, classic Four Seasons warmth and hospitality. Plenty of surprises from housekeeping and excellent snacks and treats daily. The beds were comfy although the rooms could use a makeover, they’re feeling a bit outdated. We had a villa with a private pool. Honestly I don’t recommend the private pool because the dipping pools at the gym/spa with varying temperatures (warm, cold, normal) are so amazing and relaxing to use. We spent more time there than our private pool. Lovely people and views overall. Close proximity to the hottest spots without being in the middle of the bustle.

One of the best experiences & resorts in the world

The resort was honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had. The hospitality of all the staff at Four Seasons was incredible, everyone knew our names, dietary requirements and helped plan everyday of our trip. The food at both in house restaurants was flawless and probably the best food we had out in Bali. Breakfast was spectacular and was always prepared fresh (no buffet style cold food). This hotel is one of the best in the world and it is easy to see why. The location and facilities available at the resort is unbelievable. Our private suite was super spacious for a family of 3 adults (we could of fit in another person comfortably). There is 24 hour buggy service to take you to any part of the resort (as it is incredibly large). They also have a 7 day schedule of activities and events occuring at the resort which helps plan your day perfectly. We participated in the daily yoga sessions, garden walks, private rafting during our stay. The gym, sauna, steam and jacuzzi are immaculate with amazing views of the river. I would 100% choose this resort again when staying in Ubud. This hotel is perfect for a honeymoon, private relaxation, families and couples.

Staffs are amazing, they genuinely welcomes you and you can feel it when they smiles at you whenever you see them and this is not just only receptions staffs, I meant everyone you met in the resort.

I loves this place. My villa was fab, the yoga and activities schedule was fab, the pool and gym and spa etc. Everything was wonderful except it’s overpriced for Bali. Premium pricing is ok for a place like this but treatments and activities were a bit too steep. Other than that, exceptional.

Best Resort in Bali !!!

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan is more than just a resort - they truly go out of their way to make you feel at home. From the moment we arrived until the last minute we spent there - everyone was super kind, very attentive and happy to help with anything we needed. The complex is absolutely gorgeous- you can walk along the little paths and admire the creativity of Mother Nature. The views are breathtaking. We spent some time at the pool which is located right by the river - very relaxing. A member of the staff would check on us constantly and every so often bring little treats from the chef at the pool cafe (everything was delicious!). The resort offers an amazing selection of spa services and activities. We tried their chakra ritual at the spa and yoga - both were great. We hope to visit again soon. This is undoubtedly the Best Resort in Bali.

The mattress was not firm, uncomfortable for my backpain. The window blind n door were not in the good condition, bit hard to lock it. The light in the bathroom mirror area are not bright enough

The most amazing hotel in the middle of a jungle!

Quite simply the best hotel me and my wife have stayed at. They were so accomodating to our every need from the moment we stepped in. From staff climbing up trees to get my wife a flower, to cleaning our sunglasses as we sun bathed and making sure we had everything we needed. Perfect and the best customer service.

Me and my wife had just got married so this was our honeymoon trip and our first time traveling this far away (coming from east coast america). I have to say this was the best experience I have ever had at a resort hands down. The staff was amazing all around, they would ensure at all times that we were doing well and take care of any needs we had. When I booked the resort I did not mention this was our honey moon until we arrived, in which the staff went above and beyond with giving us surprises which started the first night in getting a complementary bottle of prosecco and a cake. Our last night at the resort we had gone to eat at the pool side cafe and when we returned we got an awesome surprise, with a cool message on our bed saying "Happy honeymoon" with local flowers added in, and even filled a bath with rose pedals and a bucket with beer! I would be wrong to not mention how good the food was overall at the resorts restaurants, whether you wanted western or eastern types of foods, all of it was delicious and well worth the price. We also reserved a special dinner in which they set up a romantic dinner up at the lotus pond and our person who care of us that night (Andres, hopefully I spelled his name right) he was amazing and a true professional. The food was stellar and the effort to make it look the part is so worth the extra spend, I would highly recommend. In closing this was the whole package and I wanted to say Thank you again for everything!! Best Honeymoon ever!

The resort was spectacular from the architecture, location, landscapping and service. I would highly recommend this secret getaway from noisy ubud.

Peace and luxury in the jungle

A lovely hotel set in the jungle. The staff are outstandingly welcoming, nice and efficient. They were so good with our daughter. Highly recommended for a peaceful and luxurious stay.

Wedding and stay

our son got married here last saturday and the whole experience was more than we could have hoped for. The couple worked with the wedding coordinator and it was amazing. OUr room was incredible the wedding gorgeous and they put them in the Royal Villa for another night ! Would most definetly stay there again. John

Beautiful Resort, but overpriced and terrible food

This is a beautiful property located in Ubud, however, prices of services at the hotel (including food) are outrageous for Indonesia. The hotel manager is very rude and did not want to correct any of the service problems we had. Definitely not a four season standard. The rooms were nice and spacious and the hotel is very luxurious. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The international restaurant was very good, but the Indonesian restaurant was terrible. Breakfast was good, but service at breakfast was extremely slow.

Best hotel ever

Beautiful property in the middle of paradise. I am cery happy we chose to stay here. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom villa and our own private pool. Staff treated us like we were royal. I would definitely come to Bali again just to stay there. as soon as you check in, you will be giving a schedule of activities for the entire week. Some of the activities are complementary and others you’d have to pay for. I also felt that the food was very expensive and could have been better. But as mentioned earlier, the place is just in paradise and would take your breath away.

Stunning hotel

Breathtaking setting and architecturally designed hotel, you really feel like you are connected with the environment from the moment you arrive. Staff are exceptional, the suites are very luxurious and spacious, we got an upgrade to a family suite which was stunning. The morning yoga was amazing and the Riverside restaurant for dinner was delicious. The photos don’t do this resort justice! 5/5!!

The Perfect Getaway

This hotel is spectacular from the moment you arrive. The staff address you by name at all times, make you feel like royalty. Very friendly and helpful. The property is pretty large but feels remote in the rainforest. The pools are beautiful. The two story guest rooms are amazing. Very spacious- feels like an apartment. The closet is huge! Turn down service is the best. The hotel has a free shuttle that brings you into town. We hired one of their hotel taxi - Wayan Doni. Hands down the best, 100% made our Ubud trip that much better as he was a mini tour guide when driving us to attractions. We do a ton of traveling and I absolutely would stay at this hotel and redo the trip all over again.

Awesome Stay but Okay Food

Overall it was a wonderful experience people are very friendly ,but in the midnight we ordered a veg burger and instead of that they provided a beef burger, we specifically told them to give us a vegetable burger and even after repeated saying they still provided us beef burger and since it is prohibited to eat in our religion we felt really bad. The supervisor came next day and said we apologize for it and we wont charge it , i told them money is no issue but you should understand what the customer is saying , though they charged us but food wise i was not very happy with the hotel for other things its a awesome place.

Paradise found. My husband and I were there for a week. The hotel is gorgeous, set in a serene lush tropical hillside near a river surrounded by palm trees and rice fields. The rooms are amazing. The private infinity pool is very relaxing, Yoga, mediation, cooking classes, Bali dancers are all excellent. Very close to Ubud: shopping, monkey forest, rafting and artisan villages. The staff there is wonderful. They really go out of their way to make everything perfect.

We stayed at the Four Seasons in Sayan for our honeymoon. The resorts beauty is unlike anywhere we've ever seen. The photos don't do it justice. The staff is so friendly and they were so on top of everything we needed. Whether it's yoga, local experiences, spa services, or more, the hotel offers both relaxation and authentic cultural experiences. We loved our stay here - and appreciate how the Four Seasons staff made it totally carefree for us.

If you seek the best luxurious supper perfect relaxing escape, you will never find better than the four seasons Sayan. The hotel was lovely, staff very accommodating. I would say though, the food, very expensive for the quality offered. $82 Australian for breakfast of toast and eggs a cup of tea and a juice is just day light robbery?

Breathtaking

From the the walk across the bridge towards the soup bowl architecture to the the wonderful genuine friendliness of the staff, this experience tops them all!! Staying at the Four Seasons really is an experience not an accomodation house, I have stayed at many hotels in many countries and this would be at the top of my list of must go to places. The food , the location, the people, the room, everything harnesses an holistic feeling of relaxation and serenity... Cant wait to get back there... congratulations and thankyou :)

Absolutely Incredible!

I have stayed at many Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton's and other 5 star resorts around the world and nothing has compared to this one. The natural beauty of the property even exceeds the pictures on line, and the staff was exceptional. Everyone there knew your name! The room was unlike anything i have seen at comparable resorts- amazing! Our stay was perfect!

Best hotel stay experience

The Four Seasons at Sayan was the best stay experience I have ever had. The Villa private pool was a delight. It it very exclusive as the villas are not close to one another... it's very quiet and to hear only the sound of the calm breeze and the birds feels like a spa. The outdoor shower was another amazing touch. It was hard to actually want to get out of the room. Also, the turn down of the bed is very romantic... with the mosquito net and soft lighting, and of course, the soft pillows and most comfortable bed. The resort - extremely friendly staff, amazing included complimentary breakfast, and amenities. I tried the anti gravity yoga, and that was one of the most fun workouts I have ever had. I will recommend this Hotel to every one who wants to visit Ubud.

Beautiful hotel but food could be better

We had a wonderful very relaxing stay at the Four Seasons Sayan. The room was beautiful, the staff was very professional and the spa was spectacular. My one criticism was the food. I mean. It was fine. But I don't think fine is good enough for a five star hotel. If the food becomes first rate, I think I would give this hotel 5 stars

Four Seasons Sayan

This is an amazing hotel, probably the best I've stayed at anywhere in the world. Staff are its biggest asset, and the beautiful situation in the valley down by the river. Rooms are very big and well appointed. Pool area overlooking the river is a great place to unwind. The hotel organises cycling trips, yoga classes, and a whole range of other activities. A very unassuming entrance masks a superb hotel in a quiet location but still convenient to Ubud centre via the back roads. Not cheap but well worth the money for what you get.

Beyond amazing!

We stayed here for 4 nights in October 2014 and we were blown away by this hotel. The location is stunning.. even better than it looks in the pictures. It takes your breath away. The facilities were amazing the food at the hotel restaurant was of a very high standard. The rooms were immaculate and the staff were incredible. Every staff member knew our names as soon as we saw them (even the gardeners working in the rice fields would look up and greet us by name). We were so impressed by this hotel that we are already planning another trip back.

Nice hotel but not 5 star

We stayed here for 2 nights because we wanted to experience the jungle area of the bali. it was a long trip from our previous hotel and the check-in took a little bit longer than I expected it to be. I was tired from the trip and wanted to rest but we had to wait and sit in the lobby while they are checking us in which took longer. We booked a one bedroom pool villa but the villa they gave us has no view at all. I was too tired to complain and be moved to another room. The villa is also full of different kinds of insects and the bed smells old. The food in the room service is ok not something you would expect from a 5 star hotel. I am vegan and asked for chef if they can make me something because their menu is so limited but the chef just gave me a bunch of steamed vegetables. So far from the previous hotel we have stayed and considering that Bali offers to a lot of vegetarians and its major religion is hinduism its just ironic how a five star hotel doesn't know how to cater to guests who are vegan/vegetarian. The only good thing is the steak that my husband ate. He said it was cooked well but rest is just poorly made. The staff is always knocking at the door and sometimes we just don't wanna be disturb. They are always asking to clean the room even though they just cleaned it few hours ago. They should put more effort on other stuff than focusing on cleaning the room. On the first day I jumped in the private pool and I had an insect bite which lead to allergic reaction.

Room was perfect !

Love loved love it!!! wanna go back now! Service was the best, location perfect. But you will need a car as it is a bit out of the main stream and up and around from Ubud, too far to walk.

Top notch service in unbelievable setting

When you arrive, you are met by friendly staff who sent our bags directly to our room (got there before check-in) and a world class view overlooking the tree line. Our room was comfortable and no detail was skipped - beautiful wood furniture and artwork. The staff made our stay seamless - helping us book meals, taxis and an airport transfer - and everyone knew our name, which is unheard of at even the nicest hotels in the states. On top of the amenities (pool, spa, etc.) there are plenty of things to take advantage of on-site - when we were there, we rode hotel bikes with a guide through rice fields and saw a local village dance group. Close to Ubud, though not directly in the town, I already have a long list of all the things I want to do on my next stay.

Worth the visit!

We wanted a river facing villa but had to settle for a garden villa. It was a nice villa but lacked a memorable view. The staff's cheerfulness made up for it and we would want to go back again. The shopping in the market nearby was fun.

Breathtaking setting, faultless service, stunning architecture. Immediate surroundings don't warrant exploration, which means relying on overpriced hotel fare. Fortunately Ubud is only a 10 minute drive away.

Biggest issue was not wanting to leave!

Amazing! Just the best service and overall experience. I was thinking the entire time that I was there when I would be able to go back again. I can't wait for a sequel.

They will pamper you but at a cost

Obviously this is a spectacularly beautifully situated luxurious property with fabulous service. The only drawback is the incredible prices they charge for food drinks and services (a $250 massage, more than ten times the going rate for the same service in other very nice Bali spas! Really?) it's just far enough from Ubud to be a little inconvenient to leave the grounds. The shuttle service does not run after 5 PM. However we have to admit it is a unique and memorable experience.

Hotel property was amazing!!

First of all, they have my name wrong so hiccups when checking in. Then I passed them my passport for record and then they still addressing me in the wrong name. Secondly, we have our tour guide/ driver arranged by ourselves but he has informed the hotel staff that he has arrived and waited for us and the hotel staff didnt inform us and we were waiting at the driveway for another 15mins. Expect a 5 stars hotel can do better than that. And the price of food was extremely expensive, i mean one breakfast at the hotel cost us like a very good dinner in town at a reasonable restaurant.

The jungle views at four seasons sayan is stunning,during the stay,i also checked the neighbout hotl kayumanis,I prefer forseasons more,the buliding looks little bit tired but still well maintained and the amenities is quite good,the food there is amazing,especially the desert"souffle of a day",the bet souffle i'ever tried,it's so quite at FS sayan,and only 15 minutes from ubud center by shuttle bus,i think just staying at four seasons, no need to go to the ubud center, you can find similar shops near four seasons,of cause you should bargin a lot,maybe 50% for souviniers,and just enjoy the great views there,really a escape there at sayan,

Heaven

Outstanding service and a gorgeous resort. The pool is spectacular, the rooms are very comfortable and the food was delicious. The staff is very fluent in English. I was injured with a bad knee & a bad back - the staff went above & beyond to make me comfortable & look after me. The staff was attentive but not to the point of being annoying - which we experienced in some hotels.

Spectacular setting

Beautiful setting and terrific villas and suites but limited dining options and sometimes catering not up to the same standard and arrangements for functions interfere with service to guests which is ludicrous. Still worth staying at because of the serenity of the setting and charming staff.

Service Disappointment

This was my third stay at this property and my most disappointing. The resort is beautiful and the main building is a compelling example of contemporary tropical architecture. The service unfortunately disappoints. The hotel's staff are more focused upon completing their tasks without realizing the whole purpose of the tasks are to serve the guests! I was chased away from the Swimming Pool at 5 pm within a couple minutes of arriving, as the restaurant manager wanted to set-up the dinner buffet tables! At 7 pm, the maid barged into the room without knocking or ringing the door bell! Shockingly when asked why she didn't ring the bell, she simply reached over and rang the doorbell, then asked whether she could turn down the bed. When asked staff about internet and computer printer problems in the library, was told that they'd check and advise. No reply from staff within the following day. The hotel manager at check-out acknowledged that there were shortcomings with the service and offered to waive some charges. That was a nice gesture. However, I don't stay at a luxurious five star resort to have to deal with problems - I'd rather receive the quality of service that one expects, pay for it and have a good time! Bali has many wonderful hotels that offer great service. You'd be better off checking into one of them.

Lovely Stay in Ubud

Beautiful grounds, unique design, and perfect service made for a magical stay among the hills of Ubud. The basic suite is a spacious duplex with incredible views. The hotel balanced local charm with all the conveniences you'd expect from this chain of resorts. The environment was relaxed and quiet. It is located about 10 minutes from central Ubud which can be accessed by the hotel shuttle. We can't wait to return.

Great hotel, but with a hefty pricetag

Nicely situated close to jungle and ricefields, but also Ubud in proximity. Great luxurious bungalows, with nice facilities, but rather costly with extra charges for airport shuttle and use of WiFi and breakfast. Bar and restaurant prices, especially alcoholic beverages are excessive. Tranquil setting for pure relaxing. Good Spa facilities. Friendly and accommodating staff.

A outstanding place for well-being and living

Unfortunately my little family with our 16 month old Marie-Therese had only few days to stay in this natural paradise - for us one of the five best places around the world to stay - we definitely have to come back again. There is also a very positive impact by Bali`s culture, especially around Ubud.

Vacation of a lifetime

It took four plane flights and 35 hours to get to the Four Seasons at Sayan. And, it was worth every minute of it. The staff made our experience at Sayan the best possible. We could't imagine a better experience or vacation. The setting was beautiful. The food was memorable. We have had great expereinces at other Four Seasons Resorts, but there was something special about our experience at Sayan. Our villa was a magical place and the perfect spot to recover and relax from a long trip. If you haven't been here, you are missing something very special and very romantic. We can't wait to go back.

Couldn't be better!

Me robaron dinero de la habitación a pesar de tener mi maleta con candado. Cuando llegue el candado de la maleta estaba abierto así como la misma maleta y me faltaba dinero. Reporte de inmediato y supuestamente hicieron una investigación pero obviamente no encontraron culpables, por algo en el cuarto hay un mensaje que dice que no se hacen responsables por objetos perdidos. Lo único que hizo el gerente del hotel fue regalarnos un masaje en el spa. El hotel en si es muy bonito y tiene vistas hermosas de la selva y el rio, pero ya es algo viejo en cuanto a sus instalaciones, sobretodo en el cuarto, con muebles y pisos algo deteriorados, muchos mosquitos (aunque es entendible porque es la selva), y no cuentan con un sistema de cortinas blackout adecuado, por lo que el valor que se paga por la habitación no lo vale, es demasiado caro y abusan, porque afuera todo es extremamente barato.

If you want to celebrate a special occasion or if you are simply looking for an exotic stay that gives you a perfect taste of the local culture then I highly recommend this establishment! The staff is also extremely professional and friendly. They managed to make our stay even more memorable! We had chosen the villa for our stay, which made it perfectly possible to combine intimacy, comfort and also to take advantage of all the services offered by the hotel.
