It was nice that you could walk down to the main City area. The pool was freezing and not heated in. The hot tub was not in order and would not be for some time. The room could definitely do with new carpet and paint and any type of updating. I think I was coming to Queenstown again I would pass on this hotel.
Property is in need for renovation No air conditioning, so room becomes very stuffy in Summer
This property is dreadful, I would not recommend it. The rooms are old, the bedroom on one side was literally 10cm away from the wall and was at a funny angle. This is NO couch in the lounge only a single chair. The bathroom looked like it had been given a birthday but was still dirty. The toilet roll holder was dangling off the wall unable to support the toilet roll. This was like Faulty Towers. and they charged a fortune!! .. we never saw anyone from reception as it was unmanned. Never going back.
Door handle to bathroom was loose and ready to fall off Pool was green on the bottom, so didnt swim Room service every four days meant for our three day stay, rubbish cleared & fresh towels once No air conditioning- supplied a fan, great but noisy at night. Reception was at motel next door Couldnt see any BWOF displayed anywhere Great location to town and priced well
Yes there is a kitchenette and a bathroom (with a tiny shower). But this property is very tired. No convenient electrical plugs for computer use, the single comfortable chair was so degraded I had to put a sheet over it, the heater did not work, servicing the room did not include cleaning or making the bed, internet access is an extra charge.
Room entry had threadbare carpet. Room was not air conditioned with no fans and the day we arrived was quite hot. A fan was made available after a complaint. Very noisy (outside street noise) with windows open. Motel close to shopping, restaurants and tour pick ups.
Ok
No air-con or fans for Summer months. Sweat boxes, very uncomfortable and very overpriced for a run down motel.
The room was tired with the layout of the room being very awkward- 2 beds were in the ‘living space’ with no back to them so the pillows easily fell off. The water pressure was very poor and the toilet ran. The fire alarm wasn’t installed and was sitting on the window sill with the battery out. The kettle was full of grime. The stairs up to the room were rickety and there was caution tape strung across the balustrade. The blinds in the room also didn’t work and the dining chairs were falling apart. For the price per night the four seasons was poor value.
Room was not very well cleaned . Only one lounge chair. Bathroom mirror covered in fly spots an ceeling dirty. Condotion of pool and surrounding areas do not match advertised photos. Fridge door would only open 6 inches and then stuck on floor. Ice box hadnt been defrosted for months.
Friendly staff, quiet, close to everything we needed.
It was a nice room but they have no aircon or fans so in 28 degrees muggy weather it’s was unbearable at night trying to sleep
Needs better services for the cost you pay
Curtains were hanging off the rail, mould in the shower, no one on reception in arrival & I had to borrow a stranger's phone to make a call. Internet didn't connect until 10pm at night. No fan in room & had to leave windows open letting bugs in to be able to sleep. Overall 👎 Would I stay there again? No.
See the pool pic
Very good location, nice bathroom, but let down by a pool that not been used in a long time,
Photos are deceiving
Do not be deceived by the photos on the website, they were probably taken 20 years ago. The place was nothing like what is advertised. Weeds and trash all around the property, the pool probably hasn’t seen water in years, and the carpet in the rooms hasn’t been updated in decades.
Hotel price, hostel condition
Quite disappointed - hotel price for hostel conditions. The room was an ok size. Bathroom was a great size and has had an upgrade. The carpet was worn, the lounge chair had most the vinyl worn off it. The TV kept turning off and remote only worked occasionally. Recycling was removed from the room but beds not made. The pool was not in working condition. On enquiring at reception I was told it was the managers day off. But free parking and walking distance to town
We stayed at this place during our 8 days South Island trip. Good stop over place to stay from Christchurch to Te Anau for Milford sound cruise and return. Would definitely stay here for future trip South.
Great
Clean, warm, good shower
I appreciate works are in progress and eventually it will be better, however the price was steep for what was offered. Bathroom sink tap was loose, shower water flow pathetic, inadequate kitchen setup (not even a brush to clean plates), plunger coffee sachets provided but no plunger available, shabby furniture.
Ok for the price , as queenstown itself can be expensive for accomodation . The building itself is not the newest or fancy but if your only needing a place to sleep this will be more then adequate. Staff were all great attentive, friendly and without fault. All comments reflection on facility not service ! Excellent service ! GREAT STAFF . Laundry wasnt fully functioning and cluttered - wasted money on the dryers as they didnt spin.
We are so happy with Four seasons motel, great spot so easy to get to everywhere in Queenstown, staffs are so nice and friendly any help you need they are willing and happy to helps, check in is nice and easy, parking is great, the room no.12 that we are staying is big and spacious. We will be happy to stay here again.
The motel is older and showing signs of wear, however, was clean, and our unit had a lovely view of the town. We would stay here again.
Convenient
Room was clean and well maintained, but very noisy - right on main road with no double glazing. However main disappointment was that we specifically chose this motel because it had a pool and a hot tub. Hot tub was empty and with a hole in the roof had clearly been that way for a while. The pool was closed and looked very un-maintained so guess it had also been that way for a while but both still advertised as open when we booked :(
The Motel location was good, but the quality could have been improved. Considering other things, we were happy.
Just another motel
Just another motel with a clean and spacious bathroom. Their pool was just for a photo, don’t know when it was used last lol It was actually better than I thought except that the beds were in the lounge/ kitchen area.
Good location
It is in a good location and you can easily walk to the beach, gardens, shops and gondola. It could do with a bit TLC as certain things looked a bit tired. The swimming pool needs some renovating. The accommodation was spacious and we had everything we needed
The room was excellent and had a lot of space and great views.
Great cheaper hotel in Queenstown . Room had beautiful view and main area of Queenstown was waking distance
The good: excellent proximity to the city centre, pool was available, pram access to the second floor, staff were friendly and helpful when we saw them, adequate facilities and clean bathroom, guest laundry. We had to ring the office number on checkout because we left something behind in the room and they were gracious and quick to help (took 3 calls to get through though). The bad: very noisy due to lots of foot traffic, buses, car horns at all hours and even fellow travellers who came back late at night and stood around talking. No daily housekeeping - we helped ourselves to clean towels in the laundry on our 3rd day there. Premises are a little run down - mismatched plates and cutlery, dirty walls in the living area, pool needs repaint and does not look like the pictures (looks green). Hot tub is fenced off and not available. No air conditioning. No sheer curtains/blinds so everybody coming up the steps looked straight into our room unless we closed the drapes all day. Overall it was fine but I had expected better from the list of amenities on the listing. Oh yeah - definitely no sun loungers, haha!
We loved the VIEW from our window! And bonus points for Jahmiel at the front desk who was super kind and friendly and let us drop off our luggage before check-in. The unit is cozy and clean. Our bed was tilted a bit funny, but we just flipped which end we put our heads on and it was fine. Bathroom has had a nice modern facelift -- but the shower's water pressure was terribly low. Took a long time to get clean! Overall, really good stay! Thanks!
Location great, pool needed upgrading. Very clean, staff very accommodating
It was within walking distance to centre of town and clean, but front steps and pool needed work
The property was too cramped with hardly any space to move around.
Overall Great
Great location, accomodating as my flight was delayed and they closed but I was able to still get keys. Central and everything in walking distance. Amazing service.
The location was fantastic and check in and check out process very easy. The only real issue was the shower pressure... it was very low pressure
Place was great for a few night stay. The stairs to our room were tough with our luggage I can see that being an issue for older folks who can’t lift there bags. Also the reception was closed the whole time we were there so it was tough to ask any questions or things like that.
So close to town and bus stops.
It’s location is good. The rooms are tired. The kitchenette was useful but the fridge leaked and ruined our food. The wifi is pretty bad. The hot tub was not working. The stairs need maintenance felt a little unstable. The dryer didn’t dry the clothes. Water pressure was weak. Linen was clean and beds were comfortable. A great view. Rubbish and rooms were only serviced 2-3 days. We had to buy our own toilet paper because it ran out.
Central heating
Poor service.
Close to town. Rooms adequate but thats all. Limited SKY TV coverage
A little tired, great location.
Staff were lovely and inviting, felt sorry for them as they were very understaffed. Property is run down and dirty, pool area needs attention and the pool itself. Rooms were dirty, mould on window sills and the walls are gross. Kitchen floor has mould on it and an obvious flood at some stage with broken wood and lifted Lino. Glass panels outside and the concrete were filthy. Such a shame the motel is in a prime location but just not looked after.
rooms was great, just very noisy and had to ring the reception staff to provide the key
Great location - 2mins walk to the cbd. Nice view from the room. The air-blown bed base is too soft, making the bed wobbly. No daily house keeping due to staff shortage. Receptionist helped out with house keeping so the reception was unattended.
It's a lovely place to stay. Nice and quiet.
Lovely spot, staff very friendly and accomodating. Close to town and to bus stops.
The property is centrally located although looks a little rundown and could have some cosmetic upgrades completed on it. We paid as much for this property as we did for highly reputable hotels in queenstown with far better and more modern facilities
the property was a quick 5 min walk to the city centre. clean and tidy
Great location and view. Very clean. Easy parking.
Warm and cozy. Great Location.
Great location with quick and easy walk to town. Very clean and warm. Bathroom was huge. Room recently renovated. Master bed was just a double and had roll together. Probably time for a new one. Was very reasonably priced for a family of four, so on that basis would stay again. Renovated room was a bit let down by 80’s artwork. A simple update would make the room match its makeover.
Great location!
Great location! walking distance to town and gondolas. Friendly reception.
Staff were very helpful and assisted us during our stay Nothing was a problem or issue
Helpful and friendly managers, comfy bed, fabulous new shower, excellent heaters when the cold snap came, close to city centre.
Excellent location because it is very near to the shopping areas and eateries. There is a small kitchenette to prepare for simple meals. The staff are very friendly.
It is very comfortable. Great location and kitchen, bathroom and beds are lovely.
Gea spot
Excellent no complaints at all. Very close to everything within walking distance.
Comfy bed and nice bathroom with plenty hot water.
Good location but much to be improved
Good location for reasonable price. Close to town centre, however will need to climb a steep hill to return to the Motel. Owners were friendly and helpful! Parking space gets quite full when they are fully booked so will have to park around the back. Daily housekeeping would have been better if they did a sweep/vacuum of the floor as well. Rooms are a little old, ours even had a hole in the wall. A few provided utensils/pots were rusted. Eek!
Quality stay
Good staff and very friendly! Clean rooms and good value for money
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and had everything I needed for my trip.
Had a great stay, clean and warm would highly recommend, will be back thank you
Very short walk into town. Has everything you need.
Super warm and comfortable, really close to town friendly and helpful staff
Great spa pool, friendly staff, close to town. Nice and warm
Nice owner. Check in 1 hour earlier. Basic furnishings very clean!
It is within easy walking distance to Queenstown town centre with good parking and friendly and available staff.
The hotel is an older one, but the rooms are updated etc. The parking was challenging, but yet available without extra charges. The pool/spa was closed during our stay. There was laundry services available, but the cost was double from other places visited in NZ.
Easy acces to Queenstown central district easy to find and park. The room was fine and clean.
The motel had excellent amenities, but most importantly the location was ideal. It was a five minute walk to the town centre, but away from the noise and bustle.
Great value for money, excellent location, everything was in walking distance, could do with a little bit of updating, but was clean and comfortable, overall very happy with our stay
lots of traffic noise ( and buses picking up guest very early in the morning next door) but we only stayed one night and that was ok
Good Value in Queenstown
Great location, walkable to downtown Queenstown. Decor is a little bit outdated, but the owners/staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean.
Friendly staff
Welcoming hosts. Well located in Queenstown. Thanks
the actual room looks a lot better than the photos shown here
Great location and clean.
Great location, very near town centre and botanic gardens. WiFi speed was excellent. Room facilities was complete and clean.
Excellent location very clean room would highly recommend this motel
Good location close to town. Tidy clean functional room
Great location, place is a bit small as we have 4 adults, 2 people in the bedroom and 2 people in the living area, there was not much of a space to move around. The place is quite basic and a bit of spruce up like brighter light, nicer furniture will be great.
In center of town and close to restaurants, shopping and night entertainment.
Super clean room, great view, close to town, close to bus stops, owners were very kind and helpful thankyou!
Nice motel 2 min walk to town centre
Motel looks to be having some renovation as there was scaffolding along the back and painters so it should look refreshed for the winter ski season. It's on the main road into town so you do hear the traffic noise from around 6am but that didn't bother us as we were there to explore Queenstown, not sleep in. Shower needs an upgrade, but in all, very clean, tidy and welcoming. I would stay there again.
Awesome town, good motel 😁
Helpful staff, room adequate for 2 night stay...main bed a bit smaller than we’re used to. Queenstown only a 10 min walk and great to spend time in...friendly vibe, good bars/food
Handy to town.
We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 Australian grandsons, while they were visiting us.The Four Seasons was great the boys loved having a pool and one of them who had bought his scooter from Sydney, spent hours at the skate park, just down the road at the gardens.
Great central Location
Good hosts , very central location and clean with small kitchen and kitchenware provided. Close to main road so a bit noisy.
Lower than average
You would think having such a good location that the owner would invest in his Business. 1960/70's bathrooms, no water pressure, old beds that are small and uncomfortable. The greeting was hardly friendly, you could sense he was not entirely happy about being there. I would never stay there again and would not recommend it for the price, if they halved their rate then the standard we experienced would be acceptable. In summary. Poor at best.
Central location, responsive proprietors
Great access to restaurants and shopping, also the beautiful Queens Gardens. Proprietor went out of way to rectify problem I had with taxi; would definitely return to 4 Seasons again.
Nice Hotel close to Town
We loved this hotel, nice warm clean rooms, great shower and bathroom, close to town, one small hill to walk up but good exercise, Friendly staff comfy bed, No complaints here, would stay here again.loved it.thank you to the lovely staff here.
Good location with easy walk to town
Excellent location next to restaurants and bars. Very helpful staff. Sleeps 2 adults AND 2 kids. Kids have single beds which was important to us. Price very reasonable as we didnt need to book 2 rooms. We stayed a week but could have been much longer.
Good
Nice spacious room. Warm, comfortable and clean. Friendly staff, good location. Bathrooms would benefit from fitting proper shower heads. I would stay here again.
Love it
Our room was so much better than I thought it would be and so close to town.new towels everyday and a tidy of our room. THANKYOU
Nice Stay
Hosts good , 5 min walk to city central nice stay.Daily serviced . Great stay with family
Great location but need a make-over
Overall it's a good experience. Queenstown being so expensive, it was great to have accommodation so close to everything at a very affordable price. The facility in the room is a bit old but does the job alright.
Good location.
Stayed 2 nights - great location 2 minutes walk from centre. Room was an adequate size butw e just used it for sleeping - didn't use the kitchen facilities. Room was clean. Owner on reception was very good and helpful.
Nice location
Great and friendly staff and clean accommodations.
Accommodating hosts and perfect location.
We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and had a perfectly lovely stay. Close to all amenities. Highly recommend.
