Very conveniently located for the old city sightseeing

We had a great stay. We noted it was our anniversary and they acknowledged it repeatedly. Great attention to detail. The property is conveniently located for walking and seeing the sights. Everyone was very accommodating, friendly and efficient. Definitely will come back next time we visit Istanbul. The property lived up to their expectations.

Staff was incredible! Attentive, friendly, knowledgable.

My husband and I stayed one night at the four seasons after staying three nights at the Shangri-La Bosporus and I have to say that the shangri-la was far better. The four seasons staff were all very nice but we expected better from the room itself and for the hotel to be more spacious. The balcony is kind of strange and if I stand on my tippy toes I can see into the other rooms balcony. Breakfast was nice but once again nothing special. Essentially there was nothing special about the four seasons and it definitely does not live up to the hype or prestige. Overall nothing special.

Great Istanbul Hotel at the Middle of Everything

Amazing hotel with great location walkable to all destinations including Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque, Suleiman Mosque, Hurrem Suleiman Hamami, Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar!!! Attentive and gracious service, fabulous restaurants nearby.

This location is good if you want to be around tourists attractions a very nice and clean hotel. Great service but I prefer the bosfurus location.

Just lovely in every way! From arrival to departure… nothing but the best with lots of nice sweet surprises and great touches. The location is phenomenal. We walked the entire stay in Istanbul. Truly my favorite hotel in Istanbul.

It's walking distance from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. There are a lot of restaurants with great views nearby. The hotel is itself very picturesque. Wonderful experience.

Most beautiful property in SultanAhmet

This property and its staff are amazing. We cannot say enough good things about it! The food we ate on the property was excellent. Everyone made us feel at home and created an atmosphere of professionalism and elegance.

Four Seasons Sultanahmet: an oasis amid the bustle of old Istanbul. Very short walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, and many local restaurant choices. Friendly staff, very helpful concierge, and smooth taxi and transportation arrangements. I will stay here again on my next Istanbul visit.

Everyone at this beautiful property is highly skilled and trained in upmost hospitality toward their guests! I feel exceptionally welcomed every time I visit this outstanding hotel and it is also conveniently located in the historic center.

Incredibly attentive staff .Great property.

Amazing hotel with exceptional service. We traveled with a toddler and they went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic - fully prepared crib when we checked in along with new toys, diapers, diaper creams, baby toiletries, etc for our daughter. They also decorated our room with balloons when they found out we were expecting a new baby boy. Every day there was some special treat (fruit platter, desserts, etc) that were dropped off for us and our daughter to make our stay special. Perfect location within walking distance to everything in the Sultanahmet. The restaurants and facilities also all so beautiful. Staff were very helpful in making reservations for us to Topkapi palace and other attractions. they have a service that waits in line for you to buy tickets so that you don’t have to wait in line. One porter/bellman went above and beyond - when he found out a taxi driver overcharged us for a ride, he ran down the street and chased down the driver and got us the money back that we had overpaid, was completely unexpected. Free shuttle to Four Seasons Bosphorus with access to their pool /spa facilities which we took advantage of. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Istanbul.

WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE

I’ve stayed in a lot of great hotels during my travels around the globe and would rate this one of my favorites with “Le Bristol” in Paris and “Le Sirenuse” in Positano we travelled with the family, they put us in room 314 which was over the the new discovery of Justinians palace and nice view of Hagia Sophia which the kids loved. Best Concierge ever “Sabuhi Yavuzer” let him handle all your plans, also check in was smooth welcoming great with Onur and Emrah. We will be returning soon.

This used-to-b- jail property turned hotel is truly a gem. Its neoclassical architecture plus the current Four Seasons’ vision indeed is charming. The highlight though certainly is the staff. Not only they are super friendly and also personal, a rare find.

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind and the hotel is in the perfect location for sight seeing in the old city.

Customer service at this hotel is exceptional. Weekend brunch is awesome.

We are Four Season fans and the history and position of this hotel was interesting for us. It was perfectly located for what we wanted and the staff and food were amazing. Sadly we left not feeling at all valued though. The hotel wasn’t busy and yet we were located in a room with no view and with an interconnecting door. This meant that we were constantly disturbed by the occupants from the interconnecting room. It wasn’t their fault but we could hear everything, them talking at 5am, early alarms and then endless more alarms as they kept pressing snooze etc. I am sure you can imagine other noises we could hear too. On checkout we fed back very politely our feelings of not being at all valued and were told ‘thank you for your feedback as we can learn from this and we look forward to welcoming you back’. We wanted a wonderful two night stay as we expect from our Four Seasons visits and not to provide feedback for you to learn from. We are very disappointed and left exhausted from being so disturbed and will never return.

Excellent location for sight seeing & luxurious

Excellent location for sightseeing. The hotel staff are really welcoming and attentive. The decor is quite dated in the public areas, and traditional in the rooms. The restaurant is very good, but again the decor doesn't really suit the building. The bar is small and again they could have decorated it better. The basics are all very good - shower, bed, pillows, linen, mini bar, wardrobe space... towels should be larger and robes were a bit odd! On the whole a really lovely experience to be repeated.

This property exceeded my expectations in every way. Its history is rich, its location is perfect, its amenities are top notch and its employees are exceptional. My trip to Istanbul would not have been the same without the Four Seasons Sultanahmet!

Location, Location, Location with Limited Time

The hotel has an excellent location near all the historic monuments. The property is older and it certainly needs some renovation and upgrade on the furniture. The rooms are large and spacious and come fully equipped with a coffee machine, hot tub and stand up shower. The dental kit is superb. The sauna is not hot enough and the max temperature isn’t sufficient to break a real sweat. The gym has quality equipment and the staff is very nice and helpful. Overall good stay. the drawbacks are that ubers cannot find their way to the hotel and never want to drop you off at the right back. Also, the traffic is out of control so getting over to the european side is a trek. The european side has all the great food and better places to walk around and shop. So if you are in the city for 2-3 days then this is the best option near the historic sights.

Heavenly experience

Excellent service with a personal touch. The desserts every evening was a pleasant surprise. Service was excellent and the terrace roof is amazing!

Great location, beautiful room with a private balcony, friendly staff and a very knowledgeable concierge who booked us a fabulous dinner nearby!

Hotel was in a good location. Rooms were spacious but do not have a view. I stayed in the first floor which felt like staying in a basement. Loved having a Nespresso machine and bottled water complimentary.

It was like an oasis of calmness and tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle outside.

I rarely write reviews, however The Four Seasons Istanbul at Sultanahmet was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel staff, especially Jam at the front desk, is friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to help. The rooms are charming, the amenities lovely, and the bedding heavenly. The food served at the hotel restaurant is delicious and room service was prompt. The hotel is located in the best area for reaching the major sites and I walked everywhere alone and always felt safe. The staff at the hotel did everything they could to make my stay a memorable experience. It was and I did not want to leave! Beautiful historical boutique hotel centrally located in Sultanahmet and walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome. Great rooftop lounge and restaurant. Entire hotel decorated with antiques and wonderful artwork. I would highly recommend. Great buffet breakfast.

Great location, but..

Great location and very comfortable but a slightly dated hotel in need of updating...a bit 1980's

The location was perfect for many of the main sights. The rooms were comfortable and everything worked. The staff were genuinely helpful - we rarely needed to ask for anything twice.

Its central location makes it extremely convenient and it is an oasis of calm in a thoroughly busy city.

Very nice hotel with good location and poor amenties

I brought my parents for their anniversary, and the main reason for picking this hotel was for the outstanding view from the rooftop. However, after checking in, we were told the rooftop was "closed for the winter." I expressed my disappointment, and the staff offered to accommodate by saying they would allow us to sit at the rooftop, while no services would be provided. I appreciated them going the extra mile for us that way, despite the interminable rain that ruined our plans at the end. Also, my mother got sick during our short stay, and hotel staff swiftly arranged a doctor visit the hotel instead of us having to go out. The doctor came the same day the appointment was made, ordered all necessary prescriptions, and had hotel staff receive the prescriptions for us! Hotel itself was beautiful, especially the bathroom. Loved how they had the room prepared for the three of us (3 robes, 3 coffee mugs, 3 slippers, 3 everything!). The room had a built in American electrical port, so no need to pull out the converters! I loved the fresh new drinks in the lobby. One day it was Hibiscus tea, the other was Salep. Loved that nespresso machine and coffee was available in the rooms.

This hotel is in the best location in the old part of Istanbul, near most of the major attractions. The hotel is beautiful. the dining room is very special, with fabulous breakfasts and lovely staff.

The staff made our stay a special occasion to remember. Could not have asked for anything more. The proximity to the Hagia Sofia and to the Blue Mosque was unbelievable.We recommend it wholeheartedly.
