Housekeeping never made the bed or brought fresh towels for any day of our 3 night stay!
staff was attentive and nice! nice hotel.
Good stay
The stay overall was good. It is a dated hotel but the rooms are nice. When we first arrived we were placed in a room with a horribly strong mildew/mold smell. The wooden floors in the entry way had a large black spot/rot and visibly you can tell it was water damage. The smell was very strong and my son got a headache. The front desk staff were awesome and moved us right away into a room that was much better. The floors were not damaged and there was no smell. The new room was very clean.
Quite, clean, friendly staff. I can't believe they charge to park now. Huge lot that was half emoty. These add on charges are nonsense.
Was in great shape for what seemed like an older hotel. My room had a ceiling issue at one time and the popcorn "repair" was quite evident.
Great room
Cleanliness and friendly Accommodating
How does this property maintain the Sheraton flag? It’s like an abandoned 90s mall. Horrible. Dirty. Old damaged furniture. Smells musty. Out of date.
Large hotel and convention center. Convenient for our family. No complimentary breakfast which I find unusual in today’s market, most hotels offer some kind of complimentary breakfast. I find it insanely ridiculous that they charge to park my car. Really what are people supposed to do with their cars. Total junk fee, a ripoff!
You don't have a place asking "What didn't you like?", so I would like to mention two.things.1. Having to pay for parking. I believe that when you rent a room, free parking is a given. There should be no additional charges. 2. Breakfast. I was very surprised when I been to eat breakfast it was not included with the room. Places that I have stayed at the past few years have always had a free Continental Breakfast available for their guests.
Clean hotel. Hospitality was poor. Not the friendliest staff. During check in, there were 3 employees at front desk. Had me wait so they can finish their conversation together. While checking in, the man barely said anything to me, other than he needed my ID and card. No greeting/nothing. In the morning, tried to ask about breakfast. My reservation included 2 breakfast. Only gave me voucher for 1. Worst service, but hotel is clean.
I didn't like that they were charging $18 for the same basic hotel breakfast that is typically free. I didn't like that parking was $16/day in an open parking lot. I didn't like how we asked for wash clothes and literally received a cut up hand towel that was old with holes. The outside door closest to our room where you should have a keycard to open was broken. Anyone could walk in at anytime. However, the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was really quiet and clean for the most part.
Really nice place we were just in town for the night we went to a concert great choice
We were in town for an event at the Snapdragon stadium and this hotel was a great option in terms of distance to the venue (8 min drive), and value for the price. It is close to an executive airport, so I was nervous about the noise but it’s just small private planes and noise really wasn’t an issue at all. The area is pretty quiet. Overall, considering how big the place is, it didn’t feel crowded or noisy at all. Clean and comfortable. The beds were nice and rooms (2 queen beds) pretty spacious. It was great to have microwave in the room too. Would definitely stay again!
I was very disappointed to find that the sink was cracked, the dresser had a drawer that kept coming out if there were clothes in it & they charged $15 per day for parking.
Never expected a Marriott so bad, dirty sheets to begin with, upon request someone came after 1 hour to change it, popcorn ceiling with leak stains!! I am very disappointed
The staff were amazing and our room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bar/restaurant had good food that came out promptly and cooked to perfection. I traveled with two other adults and five kids and we really enjoyed the pool and food.
Cleaning of rooms only every other day but this was not mentioned to me when i checked in. Toilet in room was leaking and slow to flush. Sink in bathroom had a major leak. Pipe was completely corroded. My young daughter nearly slipped in the restroom due to the leak. Staff was able to move me to another room for our last night. I called in a few days before my stay to make sure i had all details prepared for when i arrived. My reservation with expedia included breakfast with my stay. The operator told me to let the staff know at check-in that i have 4 guests and they will give me 4 breakfast vouchers, however, upon check-in i was told it was 2 guest vouchers max.
Easy access off the hwy
Clean and amble space all around even the rooms.
Breakfast is not included, and parking is something you have to pay for...I mean what?
Good hotel
Stuff is friendly.Really huge property for no apparent reason. Just open spaces. Average rooms. Quiet. Beds way too soft.
Doesn’t meet expectations of the brand
The room was very old which would have been acceptable considering I paid $145/night, but it was also dirty. The bathroom in particular was really bad. The previous guest’s hair shavings wasn’t cleaned off the bathroom counter and there were long hairs on the faucet and floors. The bathtub is so old that we felt gross to use it. There were two newer towels but the rest were faded and worn out. Overall, it felt no better than a Motel 6 at a higher price. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my travels and I’m usually pretty tolerant but I expected more from a Sheraton.
.
Rooms are old and the carpet makes the room smell of smoke. I would not stay here again.
Awesome place
It was a very pleasant stay. Clean, modern, quiet. I felt safe ❤️
There was no soap in my bathroom and the shower gel was empty. I paid $250 for ONE night, I'd expect the room to be ready. Makes me wonder if it was properly cleaned before I stayed there... wouldn't recommend
Comfy bed and spacious room. Pool was fun and clean. Lots of parking. Close to many attractions.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel . The only thing that bothered me was the price of the Buffett ,$18.99 is kind of steep ,but all in all I would stay here in the near future
For the location, I was shocked when they waited upon arrival to ask for an additional $16 a night for parking. The front desk told me some guest have parking in their rates but I do not and needed to pay. The parking lot was empty surrounding the hotel... don't lower the price to attract your room then try to charge for something as basic as parking in an area that it should be free but instead they threaten by 10 pm to pay or be towed. Pretty inconvenient location overall.
Na
Large property, clean, comfortable room.
It’s very dark in the hallways, rooms are clean though
The room was very clean & the staff was nice!
My hotel room was great but the bathroom could have been cleaner. There was hair and something unrecognizable on the bathroom ceiling and hair on the shower walls.
Rooms clean and comfortable.. Staff aloof to rude. Not a good location to downtown. Decor non-existant. Expected much better for the price.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also updated and nice. Around the property was dirty and dated. There was animal poop and trash. The hotel’s carpet in the lobby and areas leading to the rooms are dirty, stained, and outdated. It makes the hotel feel dark, dirty and stuffy.
It’s a really old hotel the rooms old
Ugly rooms bugs old smells air conditioning sucks
Restful stay
Extremely helpful and courteous receptionist. Polite cleaning staff and bartender
The lobby was a little dirty staff was great
Very quiet area, convenient, and super friendly staff.
Safe and Comfortable Stay
It’s a quick comfortable 1-night stay. The room was clean, spacious with comfortable beds, a fridge and microwave. Plenty of parking for $16/day.
Great location
Our stay was nice. Rooms are outdated but still nice. It gave cruise ship vibes as soon as we walked in from the side doors to walk to the room. We would probably stay here again.
For its namesake, I feel the amount I paid for the room and extra for parking was not worth the price. I was not expecting luxury but didnt expect either a Red Roof Inn quality stay either. Property wants to charge as so, it should live up to it at face value.
San Diego September 2024
Great hotel for a weekend!
I believe Andrew (whom checked us in) was exceptionally knowledgeable about things to do and eat in the area. He was also kind and very courteous with a welcoming smile!!
Great location and parking was convenient and free.
Super clean and quiet!
Quiet, clean and staff was great!
The reservation was made for a room with 2 queen beds, when we arrived to the hotel we were told that they oversold the rooms but we were to get a room with a king bed and a rollaway bed. We waited at the room for the rollaway bed for about 30 minutes and I went back to reception just to find out that they were out of rollaway beds but no one took the time to let us know. For 2 adults and our 8 year old grand child to sleep on a king bed was very uncomfortable. There was no apologies or any type of discounts offered to us. I tried to cancel the reservation but I was told that we will no be refunded since the reservation was made with hotels.com. Not great service from the person at the front desk.
Very quiet, clean, great eye appeal, open space plan, when we got there hot tub was closed, ironically it opened on sunday morning when everyone was checking out. Very very clean, quiet and other great conveniences, I would book again.
We have stayed for a couple of nights but no one cleaned the room and got us fresh towels
Was good nice place
Expensive
Needed a hotel for a quick getaway this weekend. Hotel was convenient, staff was friendly, and very spacious. Would likely stay again. Thank you.
The property is beautiful and walkable to the area. The staff did not come daily and give clean towels or coffee. I had to call and ask. Also complimentary breakfast is not complimentary. Disappointed in my stay.
Hotel was nice but room was small
Good place to stay
The bar
Everything was Good
Nice and easy
Nice, uneventful…. I just enjoyed an early morning swim, loved it!
Parking fee $16/nightly
Parking fee $16/nightly! Very annoying! I’ve never stayed at a hotel that charges guests to pay for parking in addition to the room charges! (Esp not at a hotel that’s not in a large city like Chicago or NYC downtown). Other than that, clean hotel and good location to get to things around San Diego.
This hotel is fine for what it is. I wasn’t expecting 5 stars. But there were so many little issues that add up to a lot and I probably wouldn’t stay here again. -the front desk lets you know when breakfast is, but doesn’t mention that it’s $18 for scrambled eggs and cereal. -the bed sheets had holes -there weren’t any trash bags in the cans -the air condition makes a high pitched noise so I had to buy earplugs in order to sleep at night -the sink wasn’t draining so I pulled the plug out and all the rank hair off of it and it worked better. -I left a note asking for towels and body wash to be refilled, when I returned that night my room hadn’t been serviced at all, my note was still on the pile of wet towels on the bathroom floor. I left at 9am and didn’t have a sign on the door. -The next morning I asked the front desk for towels and body wash to be refilled, the staff left a bottle of body wash on the counter instead of refilling the bottle in the shower. -The shower drains slowly and there’s always a little pool of water in the center of the tub -The sink faucet is not tightened into place and rocks when you turn it on or off -Parking is $15 a day for no reason. There’s a parking lot at the hotel, where else are you going to park?!
Decent stay for the weekend. Clean rooms. Had difficulty turning off AC in the room. Blew in my face all 3 nights. Well maintained. Layout is somewhat confusing. All wings look exactly the same. Was tricky finding fitness room. Was surprised to learn parking was not free and breakfast was not included.
The property is dated. They charge $15 a day parking for no reason except to squeeze more money from you. It is not like there is a lot of things going around the area. Never mentioned on ad that they clean the room every two days so they did not service the room during our stay. The pool is big but has age blemishes that look like algae. Almost $800 for two nights is just too much for what they are offering here. There is major construction across the street with lots of hammering going on. Would not stay here again
Maps
Nice staff but really confusing room locations. Recommend maps next time
Wasn’t The best stay, could’ve been worse
Checking into our room was not very inviting the girl that checked Us in was not rude, but I felt like I was inconveniencing her when I asked to check in . There was two elevators and one was broken, So we had to wait a long time to push in our gondola with luggage because a lot of Foot Traffic, Had to use the stairs a lot because the elevator was so slow and overwhelmed with people, Walking into our room during the summer, was such a bad experience it was hot, We had a wait a half hour just to get the Room to a comfortable temperature, The room smelt mouldy mixed with cigarette smell.
Smoky smell in non-smoking room. I wont come back.
Quiet, clean place to stay
Rooms were fine I just wish they had better food and poolside service
Just okay.
The condition of the hotel was okay but outdated. The lighting inside the room was kind a dim and there's no switches on the wall, you need to go to an individual lamp to turn them on or off. The pillows need deodorizing. There's some kind of smell. They have need pillow cases but still smells. And also was surprised when we were told that there was a 15 dollars fee for parking. There was no mentioned of that in the website.
All great just did not like paying for parking
When I book the room with two breakfasts with additional cost for two people, however when i check in the hotel told they can only give me one people breakfast or give me two people which only can have cold food and drink, not hot food, what a great experience, I say want cancel the breakfast and get money back, the answer is no,
3 out of 5 star rating
Comfy beds, room was clean. Great pool area. Only thing was the 3rd floor had terrible AC issues including our room. Although it was good for the night time but during the day the AC would go in and out.
It was clean and nice thanks.
I like it all easy to access and very convenient
Comfy bed. Lots of amenities
Very clean and great property!
Very quiet place. Very friendly staff! The furniture in the room needs some upgrades. The bathroom is very sizable, but the toilet took few times to drain, which needs some fixing.
No wifi in my room. I had to pay my carrier for a hotspot. The nightwatchman was unfriendly and unprofessional when I arrived. The walls are paper thin, so we were awaken by loud talking next door and out in the common area daily. Hotels.com quoted me a 'total price' which ended up being only a fraction of the price. It was by far the worst part of our trip.
convent location Property needs updating
Hospitality and service were stellar
Nice Location, Clean rooms
Hotel was very good. Room was also clean and comfortable. Easy parking, except they charge for parking. It’s price gouging, hotel knows you’re driving a car and there’s nowhere else to park. Pathetic for such a large organization to stick it to their customers!!!
The staff was friendly during check in and check out. One thing that was upsetting on our last night there was the hot tub water was not hot enough nor did the jets work properly. The stay there was good tho the bed was comfortable and the area was quiet.
Clean and quite facility for my needs . Would recommend to other families .
Not within walking distance of anything
Space and facilities inside and outside the hotel are large, clean, and organized that make us feel very relaxing. Our room's restroom conditions aren't good with steamy is over mirror after taking shower.
It’s very convinienrly located and whenever I visit San Diego I stay here. Great rooms. Friendly staff
Nice room Hallway was filled with the smell of marijuana- wasn’t cool One water bottle for 4 people Parking is $15
Clean room and kind staff
Room had a weird smell. But overall great experience
I had to come back to check in twice my room was never cleaned!
Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice place to stay
everything was great but the sink in my bathroom was spitting out black sut and it made the bathroom sink dorty. i was there just 1 night so I didnt say anything until i checked out
Rooms were very noisy , with being able to hear neighbors all night long. People were talking and yelling at all hours, and management did nothing to stop them.
Great stay!
Cleanliness
Overall it looked clean but later at night I noticed two cockroaches
Great
Great service
