Staff very helpful and good location
Really great place to stay in Trieste. Beautifully decorated and perfect for a solo traveller. Room was a touch on the small side, but was great for what I needed it for. Breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL!
It is a nice hotel and cute, just felt the room extremely small and too dark even with lights on. If early train, be mindful of checking out at the night before as reception is not opened until 7am.
The staff was so nice and accommodating. The hotel was centrally located within walking distance of all the attractions.
The staff here is absolutely amazing and everything is so beautiful!
I liked the ambiance, the decor and the attractive lobby.Nic was very kind when we arrived a little too early and asked to store our luggage. Some of the room features were a bit worn: the toilet seat slid around and the facet was wobbly. The bathroom window handle was broken and wouldn’t open the window. I thought there should have been some instruction about the electrical. We couldn’t get the fridge to work because we kept turning off the master electrical switch.
Front of house staff made us feel like family.
Excellent stay! Friendly front desk, clean and spacious rooms, well-stocked bathroom. Cold water and AC were perfect for hot Trieste in August. Great service with airport taxi. Highly recommend!
Good Boutique hotel in a very convenient location.
Good Boutique hotel in a very convenient location.
Very wonderful and friendly staff, beautiful room, great food.
I loved this boutique hotel. Everything from the staff to the location to the amazing breakfasts! My room was comfortable and the air conditioning was so great in the August heat! Highly recommend!
Helpful friendly staff. Beautiful modern and comfy room. Great location near cruise port. Quiet. Would definitely stay here again.
Free drinks from the minibar, hell yes!
I’ve been traveling to different countries in Europe and I’ve stayed in many hotels. This is the first time I’ve been in a hotel with free drinks from the minibar, (beer, soda and different kinds of water) on top of that, they refill the stock the next day. Everything was clean and the staff was kind. I’ve would give this six stars if I could. Perfetto! Grazie!
The Forum has a beautiful lobby (upstairs, after taking the elevator), friendly staff, lovely unique rooms and tasty breakfast. I wish we could have stayed more than one night in this great facility and city.
Our stay was fine. Nothing special. The air conditioning did not circulate well as it blew into a corner by the door and could not get into the room itself but Im an American who likes air-conditioning so its probably fine for most people.
Great location, great service!
Great hotel! Loved it!!
Amazing service and location is perfect!
Very chic hotel but room was very small.
Check in was super easy and person who checked us in was super helpful. Great location. Most definitely would stay here again,
Amazing. Loved the interior decorations and employees. Super clean and safe!
Super cute and staff was amazing!
Perfect boutique stay…
Staff were amazing and all very pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast and presentation. Room was perfect and very central location.
Nick is AWESOME!
Very affordable and stylish hotel that is conveniently located near the central Trieste canal. Staff were very friendly and helpful upon check in. Breakfast (extra pay) was served in a very attractive setting. Room was on the small side but it did not matter to me. Only downside was that my room was on the front of the hotel facing a busy street that was noisy in the morning.
Property was very clean. Front desk staff was excellent. Room is very small. Normal for Europe.. You can control your own air conditioning. However it is very slow to cool off the room. Breakfast was delicious and worth the money. The room is dark, however it will help keep the room cool. Love this place. Would stay again
Staff was amazing, love the look and feel of the property, had a wonderful experience
Very nicely appointed, darkly luxe vibe. We didn’t have breakfast but it looked beautiful. Staff, especially Nico, were very helpful.
Beautifully appointed hotel, close to centre and well served by public transport. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Really enjoyed my stay.
Great location, and very friendly staff
Overall just ok
Charming hotel in good location - given a welcome drink on arrival Room very small and bed was uncomfortable and creaked when you moved - overall ok experience but given cost wasn’t value for the money paid
Great room and good breakfast
Such a mixture of extremes. From a beauty standpoint, this place is a five star. It is in a very central location walkable to all the places and restaurants, mostly easy to find, and slightly more accessible because of the lift for your heavy bags. Everything is beautiful. Beautifully laid out and beautifully presented. Two major problems though: some of the staff seem to either hate their job or hate their guests, or perhaps both. They are unaware that the guest is the one to be pleased, and not the other way around . They seem to have "rules" around enjoying breakfast and coffee and God forbid you should want to do the mornings your way, rather than their way. We were such a nuisance! Imagine wanting coffee first, and waiting for breakfast till later. Imagine that four people in your group wake up at different times ! Quelle Merde! How inconsiderate of us! How dare we stagger our mornings! How dare we have a way that we like our coffee and cannot describe it with the proper Italian terms! We feel so badly about what a nuisance we were. The room itself well very pretty, was without function. The beds were slab hard, the air conditioner was barely Working, and the toilet was so impossibly high that it was unusable for women and one needed to use a stepstool to get up to it.
Room was warm.
Beautiful hotel, after our stay, we booked a night for our return after our cruise.
Lovely spot
Beautiful place, friendly staff, lovely room. Easy to walk to/find from the train/bus station, and close to everything. I’d highly recommend it!
The reception area and receptionist were great! Helpful to meet our needs.
Very nice hotel that needs some improvements
The hotel is very nice and perfectly located to explore beautiful Trieste. There is a nice lounge where you can have breakfast or have a glass in the evening. The rooms are small but nicely decorated and cozy. Staff are friendly and they provide maps and information if needed. The only problem was that the air conditioning didn't function very well (although I set it at 19 oC, the temperature was 26-28 oC). The fridge did not function well either and the beverages were not cold.
We received great overview of activities from staff for our one day stay in Trieste which really helped. Overall great location allowing us to walk everywhere we wanted to go from waterfront to Castle. Only negative was having to park our car at the large city lot which was about 3-4 blocks away. Otherwise would recommend and we would stay there again.
What a wonderful boutique hotel in Trieste. We walked from the cruise ship to the hotel and next day walked to the train station! Breakfast was so delicious! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to return to Trieste ❤️
Two windows are boarded up.
We enjoyed our stay at the Forvm. The property decor is unique and interesting. The hospitality was excellent. They were very helpful with maps and dining recommendations. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and the service was great. We would definitely stay there again!
Lovely central boutique hotel (and dog friendly!)
I'm not one for leaving hotel reviews but I made an exception for this. This was a lovely little hotel very close to the main attractions in Trieste. We arrived by car and the journey took far longer than expected so we ended up arriving after their designated check in time. I called up to explain and there were absolutely no problems. It was very clear that customer service was top of the agenda. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The room was compact but beautifully decorated and a lot of thought had gone into the details. The *ONLY* niggle was that I think the shower was broken as only the hand held component worked. But not enough to reduce the rating. We had breakfast on the final day and as the other reviews say ... Wow. It was great and there was a vegan option which was actually good!
Very nice small hotel. Staff was very friendly, room was nice and overall hotel was very nice! Would recommend!
Lovely hotel; really friendly staff
Forvm
Front of hotel is rundown. It is a very nice boutique hotel but there are noise issues. The windows do not fit properly especially on room 102. When asked whether I could change rooms, I couldn’t do this because the hotel was full and was told I should “ask for a quiet room” in future. Breakfast is expensive at €15.
Staff was so friendly, helpful, full of local stories and information. They went above and beyond to get us tickets to two new art exhibitions. Hotel in super location with immaculate rooms in a grand old building. A favorite stay in a unique city.
Great little gem
Service was very nice and friendly. We had to wait 5 minutes for someone to appear and check us in. When he appeared he was extremely apologetic and nice about it and even gave us complimentary Prosecco as an apology.
Great character hotel
Lovely hotel. Very well placed. Helpful and friendly. Wonderfully decorated, giving it a character a step above most others. Only very slight reservation is that the rooms are quite small, so pack efficiently... Overall, highly recommended.
unacceptable service & treatment
The hotel is very hard to find and has no nearby parking. Despite having booked and paid for a queen bed on arrival at the hotel 22:30 so definitely not early I was shown to a room with only a single bed! When I complained I was told that I was alone so was put in a single bedded room again I had paid for a queen bed, This was the only room available and if I wanted to leave then I could but they would not give a refund. I reluctantly accepted the room only to be further disappointed by the quality of the hotel, the room was noisy until the early hour with returning guests and the bathroom was worn and the blinds and curtains were so thin that I was woken around 0600 by the light in the room. This hotel looks great on the photos but it is all image and no quality. I travel for a living and can honestly say I have never been so disappointed before. On checkout the receptionist was argumentative and unhelpful refusing to call the manager and saying that I had slept in the room so had no reason to complain. This hotel should be avoided it is dreadful probably the worst I have experience in 15 years of travelling.
Breakfast is excellent. Blood orange juice!
Perfect boutique stay
Beautiful Hotel ! It’s what you would expect from a boutique hotel. Amazing decor and a pleasure to stay in
Excellent!
Hidden behind a massive door this boutique hotel is wonderful! The rooms are very small but beautifully appointed and the service excellent! The position too is great as halfway between the central rail/bus station and the amazing square!
Lovely place clean .. nice people at the desk.. I really recomend .. good location.. all good
Really quaint hotel with modern decor but traditional feel. Great location. Nice breakfast. Staff was very helpful and courteous.
This is a chic and stylish hotel in the heart of Trieste. It is indeed boutique - small and fancy. The staff were fantastic. The optional breakfasts were gorgeous and the coffee excellent. If you arrive by car, parking is somewhat challenging but the staff helped us figure the out. The hotel entrance is on a very busy street with no area to pull off the street. Challenging but doable. A really nice hotel at an excellent value
I was going to stay in an Airbnb but I thought I would give this a go instead. I should have stayed in an Airbnb like I did earlier in my trip; it was cheaper and had a more useable bathroom ( that was strangely fitted and had a broken toilet seat). The entrance was also hard to find and not that clear or inviting
Unique , Stylish, central location to train and main square
5 star stay!
Simply amazing!!! Outstanding warm service! Beautifully designed chic hotel in central location to “must see” sites. Delicious breakfast! Exceeded my expectations!
Good location. Nice interior design. Friendly helpful staff.
Nice hotel, annoying little things
The property is amazingly quirky in its appearance and attention to detail id sublime. Breakfast at 10 euro is good value. It is served on a cakestand and has everything one could need. Coffee of course is superb. I had 2 serious problems, one was a malfunctioning toilet. When you press the flush button the water would continue to stream, noisily. This happened every time and the first time, on my arrival,, it was fixed. The second time I was told it is Sunday and I cannot get anyone. After I returned from lunch it appeared to have been fixed. My only remaining option was not to flush. The second issue was with the room, my confirmation stated a queen sized bed, I was allocated a single, and being used to a super king, I promptly fell out during the night, twice. Forget about working at the desk, my room had no desk chair to sit on. Other than that, the hotel is amazing, the staff are friendly and it is within reasonable distance of everything.
Staff was great. Delicious breakfast. Lovely room.
A beautiful property and lovely staff. The breakfasts were to die for. The location is good. The wifi worked well so we could listen to Radio Caroline when in the room on our tablet.
Beautifully decorated and super clean. Attentive and friendly staff.
Only stayed overnight but good overall experience with location and service. The air conditioning is inadequate wasn't cool enough to have a restful sleep for us.
What a wonderful place.
The hotel was exquisite. I stayed in the luxury portion. The sitting area was gorgeous, had its own Illy espresso machine, and TV. The shower was one of the best during my entire stay in Italy. The bed gave me one of the best nights’ rest I had during the trip as well. The hotel bar was a fun place to meet other people. All in all, this is one of the best places I’ve stayed, bar none.
Go inside before you judge
This hotel is very unassuming from the outside. An elevator takes you to the second floor where this hotel is located. The room was small and the air conditioning struggled in the face of hot, humid weather. However, the staff was very accommodating, the room was well appointed, and the location was excellent. We enjoyed our stay.
A little slice of Italian heaven in Trieste
Gorgeous little hotel with constant delights from the staff! Delayed flight already arriving late and they waited up till 1am to check me in. Little nibbles and nightcaps waiting outside my room. THE most lovely breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel - presented like a high tea with so much choice and more than I could stuff my face with for 10 euros! Amazing coffee and in room espresso machine. Great wi-fi too. Just perfect.
Very nice, convenient and great shower
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. Check staff were nice and professional as was the staff when I checked out. I asked a different staff member about dinner recommendations and he was I engaged and simply looked one place online. I stayed in the annex which is a block and a half away from the office, so if you need anything it is a walk outside. Also that building has some renovations so entrance is not appealing. Additionally the hallway is very dark at night when leaving. The room was small and the lobby outside the room was stuffy and warm. The room was missing some key details that a place of this price and eating should always have! There is not a luggage rack so if you have full sized suit cases these is not much of a space to store. When I showed up there was only one hanger in the very small closet and there is not a mini bar. The shower is in the bed room basically a glass closet next to the bed and the towel hooks were too small and not functional as well as the shower leaked. The room only had one small window which made it seem smaller. The shower only had one product a shower gel stocked with nothing else. I wanted to like this hotel more but for the price and rating it is lacking in some details. The staff were mostly nice and professional but then again one bad apple spoils the batch. I hope they can address some of the details as it could be as good as others have experienced.
Quirky venue
We arrived very early and were able to leave our bags at reception before exploring the city for some Sunday shopping. We returned hoping to get in before 3pm with a text from reception but it didn't happen. We were the given our free welcome drink, which may have been more welcome after having a chance to freshen up. Once we'd finished our drink (smallwine, beer or soft drink) we were shown to our room in an annex some 80 meters away from the reception. There was a fabulous old lift in the building which served the 5 floors. The 1st floor annex houses 6 rooms of which 1 was ours. Somewhat dark but pleasant and modern with a good step in shower away from the closet housing the sink and toilet. The free minibar MN ade us smile as it consisted of two bottles of water and two can of soda. The area adjacent to the rooms had some perfume(most were empty) some fruit, biscuits and sweets for the guests to use. Not a bad location with plenty to see and do nearby. An interesting stay that I wouldn't use again as the attention to detail was lacking. Try the Hotel d'Aosta for bygone style!
Wonderful staff and ambiance
Forvm Boutique Hotel is a beautiful place to stay. The décor is so glamorous you feel like you are staying at a really fancy place. The details in the actual rooms are also wonderful, the cute storage for the hair dryer and toiletries and the vintage glasses for water were such a unique touch. The service was also really good. We received a warm welcome with a glass of wine. The frost desk guys accommodated our late check-in and let us store our luggage to accommodate our late flight out. The optional breakfast was delightful. Not only was the food delicious but the presentation was perfect! The hotel is also in a great location. Walking distance to the grand canal, the main piazza, and several shops and places to eat. I would definitely stay here again. Wonderful staff and ambiance.
A great hotel centrally placed
A welcome complimentary drink was welcome on arrival. Very stylish place to stay.
Good hotel, interesting decor, well situated close to the train station but away from the busy nightlife area of the city. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is superb. The constant music in the lobby from 7am to 11pm was a little irritating, as we could hear it in our room, and the traffic from the street is audible, too, but overall this was a good stay and recommendable.
