Terrible conditions in the room. There were bugs, old towels and torn bed sheets. Did not have adequate hot water. Faucet controls were falling off. One of two air conditioners was not working. Pool was not usable, the water was cloudy. This property should be delisted from hotels.com.

Property does not have a lot of staff and is not well maintained. The grounds are beautiful, but neglected. The property is also hard to access, down a dirt road for about a kilometer. So if you're without a car it is hard to leave in the evenings. When I was there the restaurant was dark and did not provide any service.

My husband and I thought this was really neat. It's almost as though we were in the middle of the jungle. Gorgeous garden and pool. You'll also see some monsters, frogs and lizard! Staff were very v friendly we arrived almost 10pm our first night and they were willing to serve us dinner! We were grateful after a long day with no food! We would recommend it if you're in sigiriya!

Spacious hotel

Great location. Lots of dogs barking at night and in the morning. Great service. Less then 15 min to Lion Rock.

Good Hotel But Needs Better Management Maybe

The hotel was run a bit oddly. At check-in, we were brought to a room with the door already open and the air conditioning going. I had booked a room with a second bed, which this room did not have, so we were brought to another room with a second bed that also had the door open. As a result, there were some small flies in the room. Also, we did not realize until after the front desk had closed that there were no sheets provided for the second bed. We had to request those the next day. Also, the check-out process was a bit long and hectic. There seems to be some management issues. However, the staff was friendly. There was a slip-up on my part too, as the Wi-Fi was regularly not working. Due to our language barriers, I became frustrated at not understanding why the Wi-Fi was out. Sri Lanka is currently experiencing power outages in regions, so be prepared for this. It is not the fault of the hotel.

This hotel is just opening back up. The staff is very friendly, the property is lovely, and there’s a happy German Shepherd that hangs out there. The room is big with a comfy bed. I would stay there again.

Love this spot. Very clean, hotel name really live upto the name flower garden. I will come back and stay here again. One disadvantage is the road coming into this hotel need upgrade and it’s almost like going donkey ride in Kabul!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Property is well presented but the only issue was that there were items on the menu which were not available, not only once but every night we ate at the resyaurant.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen. None of the pictures do it justice. It is set in the middle of jungle foliage. Don’t let the dirt road that leads to it throw you off. The pool is gigantic, the rooms are large and nice, and the restaurant is good. It is special

Great proximity for the hikes up Sigariya Rock and Pidurangala Rock. Very tranquil and quiet. Great pool to relax by after the walks and clean and comfortable Rooms. Would recommend!

Very good hotel, really a garden setting, easy, couteous staff, highly recommended

Nice hotel but away from main road and was not easy access. Once off the main road there is fairly descent dirt road up for awhile but once you turn off that there is single lane track which is slightly difficult in a wide car. First time in the dark it would be like driving into a jungle. But the welcome is nice. The bathrooms are dated with no ventilation after a shower. Don’t attempt to open the window unless you want to be attacked by mosquitoes.

Overall amazing location, pool, and food!

We loved staying at Flower Garden Eco Village! The hotel was new and beautiful. Our room was the most spacious we stayed in during our strip to Sri Lanka. The room was cleaned every day and had a great private porch. My only complaint would be that the shower curtain was moldy. The included breakfast was fantastic and dinner was also excellent with very good prices. We ate there every night! We also used this hotel to arrange all of our trips during our stay including from the airpot, Lion's rock, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, and to our next hotel in Kandy. The driver was very safe, the car was super comfortable and prices were very reasonable. The hotel is very close to local tourist sites and will help you arrange a quick tuk tuk to those as well. However, my favorite part of this place was the incredible pool. Very clean, spacious, and will plenty of lounge chairs to relax on. Totally recommend this hotel!

Staff was friendly and willing, but things seemed slightly disorganized. There was initial confusion about our reservation, and little details (e.g., "open" style shower lacked curtain that could be considered optional, but would have been convenient, and was present in some rooms) were missed. Smoking (or non-smoking) policy questionable at best. Although rooms were denoted "non-smoking", there were no designated smoking areas, so we were often forced to share space (including dining areas) with heavy smokers who must have felt compelled to light up in any place that wasn't clearly marked as off limits.

Truly an ECO resort with modern facilities.

We a family of 12 adults and 1 child stayed for 2 nights recently. Was a pleasant stay and the staffs there were exceptional. The rooms were spacious and the setting was really awesome. truly lived up to their name of Eco resort. So be prepared to come across insects and small animals.. :) Other than that it's a safe place to stay. Breakfast could have a better spread tho which was the only setback. Limited choice we would say. Besides that it was a fantastic stay.

Nice hotel, pool and breakfast. The room is ok. The bed Is fine, the shower needs to be improved. When it’s raining you are a bit stuck in the area

Accomodation not so great

Wifi is pathetic. Road to this hotel is bumpy. Bed spread looks dirty and bathroom door knob broken. Cap on breakfast and dinner value should have been mentioned with expedia booking.

Lovely setting and fairly recently renovated but bit hit and miss - lighting in room poor, dining average, beautiful pool and surrounds. Would stay here again.

Very comfortable and well-located oasis of calm

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay here. Rooms were large, clean and had everything we needed. They are straightforward rather than luxurious, albeit all have nice, spacious balconies looking onto or over the grounds. Staff were always helpful, prompt and welcoming - and the restaurant offers very nice eastern and western food at good value for money with excellent service. The site is compact, yet a lovely oasis of calm with many trees and plants, being centred around a nice pool that was always clean and a pleasure to swim in. The hotel is very well situated close to everything you will want to visit in this area, yet sufficiently off the beaten track to be genuinely restful also.

An Oasis in nature,

A reasonably comfortable stay in a beautiful natural environment with exceptionally helpful staff, especially in the restaurant. Lovely pool to cool off after the days sightseeing.

This was our last hotel in Sri Lanka. The bed was comfortable and there were complimentary drinks in the refrigerator. We found the staff to be very helpful when we needed a tuk tuk and again when we needed a car to the airport. They were also accommodating with a very late checkout since our flight left at 3am. It was about a 3 hour drive to the airport. I believe there was some mold on the walls in our room. But it was clean overall.

Nice hotel in a village setting in the surrounding.

An average hotel. No moskito net :( it had a hairdryer. Very very difficult to get to. You cannot walk to the village. Very poor breakfast. Staff very lovely but wants tips all the time for everything.

Lovely set-up... very quiet and relaxing, great pool and tasty food! Staff were super-helpful.

Slice of hell in Sigirya

This place was very cute online and looks exactly like the pictures here. However the receptionist was very stand offish and rude. The room was very moist and dusty, air con broke the last night we stayed. The window in the bathroom did not shut as bugs got in. There also isn’t any hot water... and the water pressure is horrible. The food is very overpriced and not much variety, also alcohol is very short here as they tend to say no to every advance at an alcoholic beverage. The only upside of this hotel is the pool and the restaurant servers. The only way one could enjoy this place was if the prices were lowered. Way too overpriced for the service and quality they provide.

Lovely staff and amazing food

The food at this hotel is amazing. Dinner was great and they gave you free starter and pudding with a main meal which made it good value for money. The staff were lovely and very attentive. We went on an incredible safari to Kaudalla and would highly recommend it - we saw more wildlife there than in udawalawe! Make sure you visit the small wood carving place just along the dirt track before the main road.

lovely hotel, it's so peaceful! room, pool and restuarant was was really nice, beautiful property, near the sirigiya rock as well. road up to property was a bit bumpy but that was literally the only negative thing about this lovely village! wish we could have stayed an extra night or two 😁

Excellent stay, friendly and helpful staff.

Really enjoyed our stay here. A pleasure to relax and unwind in a small oasis of calm. Very good staff friendly and helpfull with all our tours and transfer to next destination. Shower needs improving but its hot water. Room is spacious and balcony is great. Thank you flower garden eco village team.

Brilliant location

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Beautiful ambience. Pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel is set about half a km from the main road. Travel on a earth track road to the hotel. We had concern regarding the hotel when travelling on the non built road but were pleasantly surprised annartibing at the hotel. Was informed that the local council is going to build a proper road to reach the property, so that’s good news. In the nights this track of road is frequented by wild elephants, but tia is of no concern because the property is secured.

Scenic hotel around spacious lawn but a bit old

The hotel did not live up to expectations of its rank. For a place rated and priced at this level, I would not have expected a musty smell in all three of our rooms, and a #dead cockroach under our bed! Cleanliness is disappointing but aesthetics are great and the recent renovations are not bad.

Nice new hotel with a decent pool

A good place for a relaxing stay in Sigiriya. Good-sized rooms with nice balconies. Quiet location, so not right if you want to walk to local restaurants, but great if you have a car and driver. Food in the restaurant is good. Pool area is really nice, although the concrete gorilla is a bit odd. Owner's dog sometimes wanders round the dining area at mealtimes but that's a small quibble - generally this was better than I expected for this price.

Chilled hotel, great facilities!

This is a great hotel for a base to explore the surrounding area. We stayed here for 3 nights and could easily have stayed more. The rooms are spacious and modern with free bottles of water always stocked up in the fridge. The guys at the restaurant/bar are really attentive and nothing is too much for them. The pool is a great bonus after long days exploring. Great place to stay, definitely recommend.

Tranquil hotel close enough to Sigiriya but far enough away to feel far removed from the hustle and bustle. Friendly staff and gorgeous outdoor setting. The rooms are a little old and outdated but for Sri Lankan standards, they are pretty standard.

An oasis hidden away

The oasis of Flower Garden Eco Village is at the end of a long dirt very bumpy road. My children were saying "what have you booked" as we were driving along this road. You will be extremely pleased as you enter the resort as it is very nice. The staff were helpful as we had a little unexpected visitor in our room that they had to remove. Food very nice. The pool was very nice after a long day.

Gorgeous hotel friendly staff

A warm welcome at the hotel. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The reception staff helped us book tuk tuks and a safari to Kaudulla National Park at no extra cost. The pool is cool and inviting and our 5 year old son loved that. We left our son’s treasured teddy bear behind and they were so kind and understanding and have offered to send this to us - lovely. A relaxing oasis close enough to everything you might wish to see and do in Sigiriya.

The hotel is in the bush and as such it is quite humid. A lot of small insects and mosquitoes in the room and restaurant. The room is not cleaned properly. A used cotton bud was found on the floor.

Cozy Hotel with great service

Great hotel for the price and friendly staff, hotel restaurant was good but a bit expensive. Comfortable accommodation.

Friendly staff, spacious room, nice swimming pool. We stay only for one night but would recommend this hotel to our friends.

The only thing missing was a full bar at the Restaurant, no wine!! The Restaurant staff were really obliging and very efficient.

Quiet and relaxing

This hotel has about 18 rooms built around a garden with a pool in the middle - about 15 m long. Staff are friendly and courteous - fruit platter and egg and bacon for breakfast, which is inclusive in the price. When we stayed they had no spirits, ran out of beer, coke and salad! It was rectified the next day. Tuk Tuk drivers took us where ever we wanted to go. Amazing woodcarver lives along the road too. They organized the airport transfer for us also. Would recommend three nights.

Wir sind eine Nacht eher als geplant abgereist überall im Zimmer hat hat es gekreucht und fleucht. Nicht nur ein paar Mitbewohner was im Wald ja normal ist, hier wurden die Ecken seit Jahren nicht sauber gemacht. Ist auch irgendwie abseits gelegen Transport funktioniere nur wenn man ins Zentrum rein läuft, wo man sich im dunkeln nicht gerade sicher gefühlt hat. Das Frühstück war ganz in Ordnung, aber das Personal hat sich bei nicht Verstehen nicht nochmal erkundigt sodass die Verständigung schwer war.

Mysigt, ute i djungeln. Mycket Trevlig personal. Två hundar som höll vakt o hängde med oss hela tiden. Mysig pool. Lite ödsligt. God frukost. Nära till saker. Dock torkade dom av gladen med en handduk bara.

The hotel has so much potential with a great location and a wonderful pool. The staff was also excellent and really tried to do everything to make our stay perfect. However, the rooms needs maintenance and a deep clean - one of our rooms had wholes in the ceiling so insects would fall down and ants everywhere. Therefore. we got a new room which had old towels inside, no toilet paper and still needed a deep clean.

Hotel sympa et dans la jungle

Tres bel endroit dans un écrin de verdure et à 1kms à vol d'oiseau du site de Sigiriya. Grande Piscine avec quelques transats et joli restaurant sous un grand porche pour les petits dejeuners et les diners. Breakfast correct mais toujours le meme et au bout de trois nuits, ça devient lassant. Restaurant dans la moyenne, ok pour dépanner mais on trouve beaucoup mieux et moins cher en allant sur la route principale vers Sigiriya. Chambres spacieuses avec grande terrasse mais l'hotel aurait besoin en generel d'un coup de neuf.

Cadre magnifique dans un écrin de verdure très bien entretenu. Le personnel est très agréable et disponible. Le restaurant de l’hôtel au top! Et que dire du coin piscine. Merci encore pour ce séjour!
