Proprietor was a great cook, very helpful and accommodating.

Mahone Bay was so beautiful! The Fisherman's Daughter is a great place to stay. The view is exceptional and the house is so welcoming. Our group was a party of six and Cathy went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Cannot wait to come back again!

Quaint, cozy, comfortable. Everything I was looking for on my self-care weekend in Mahone Bay.

The owner Cathy was so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was wonderful. Would definitely visit again.

Wonderful host(Cathy) was great with info. Beautiful town with location in easy walking to restaurants and ice cream! Highly recommend this B&B both for its charm & the delicious breakfast.

Quiet and comfortable

As all of the other commenters have reported, this is a very cool BnB in a historic home. We stayed in Emma’s hideaway, which is the only room with 2 beds. It was perfect for our family of three. Cathy, the Innkeeper, is very personable and a great cook! Breakfast was delicious and everything about our stay was fantastic. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

A little haven in a tourist town!

Wonderful, Kathy is a great host. She is very accommodating, knowledgeable, and just a perfect B+B owner.

Cathy, the wonderful innkeeper, is devoted to her customers. She solved all our (minor) travel issues and offered great advice about what to see in the area. Her breakfasts were very good. The house is historic, so narrow steep stairs and small rooms might not be great for some but the charm is undeniable. Plenty of hot water, good WiFi, coffee, refrigerator and TV in our room were great. Wonderful location. We’d love to stay again.

Kathy was the best host ever!!! The house was amazing comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were great and the location was perfect for getting to what we wanted to see. We also took some great hikes right from the house and the town was fun to explore. We would go back in a heart beat

Great accommodations. Room was clean, nicely decorated and had its own a/c and heat. Cathy, the owner is amazing! So friendly and helpful, you feel like family right away. Definitely would recommend and stay there again.

Cathy was an amazing hostess and made us feel welcome and comfortable in her 1850’s home. She created wonderful breakfasts (including making us fresh bagels) and provided tips of good places to visit and where to eat. I would highly recommend.

Cathy was warm and welcoming, the room was comfortable, the food delicious and we wished we'd had more time there!

Cathy is an exceptional host. From the moment I walked in I felt like I was home. The welcome was warm and genuine, the room was comfortable and immaculately clean, and the breakfasts were delicious and varied. As a testament to Cathy's warmth, she noted that I didn't have a rental car with me and that my kids, who live in Mahone Bay, would simply pick me up and drop me off. She offered her car to me to use if I needed to go anywhere(!). And that is who she is, everyone is family to her and she treats everyone as if they are a long lost friend. I cannot recommend highly enough. Stay here you will not be disappointed.

Cathy (our host) was very welcoming and made our stay incredible. Her homemade breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The location was serene and the view of the bay was visible from our room. Overall a great getaway and I will definitely come back. Thank you for your hospitality Cathy.

Cathy is a great host who makes great breakfasts and does everything she can to ensure your stay is perfect. We would go back in a heartbeat not only because of the accommodations but also to see more of Mahone Bay.

Staying at The Fisherman’s Daughter was like staying with family. Kathy took care of our every need from our arrival until our departure ! She is very, very funny and warm and we thoroughly enjoyed our many conversations with her on all matters big and small. She encourages the entire use of the house to include the charming living room and dining room, and even the kitchen (I went in several times to use the ice maker). I really cannot say enough nice things about this Bed and Breakfast (Oh! Breakfasts were delicious and gourmet and homemade) and we are hoping to get back there sooner rather than later! Good location

Great location in between two churches across from the bay.

The only objection is the staircase. It is long and steep. The was a problem for my wife's knees. Otherwise great

The property was an original Captains House. We stayed in a room that was called Emma's Hideaway that was quaint and cozy with period furniture, and beautifully decorated with quilted bed coverings. Host was very friendly and new to the Bed and Breakfast. We were very pleased.

The property was very nice and overlooked Mahone Bay. Easy walking to restaurants. Cathy the owner was very friendly and helpful. Offered to do our laundry. This is a Heritage House in Mahone Bay and has a lot of character.

It is listed as a Bed& Breakfast which is fall, a Continental Breakfast at a Motel is better. All we had was a piece of bananas bread, one muffin Apple turnover and two fruit. I stayed at four different B&B which was actual breakfast. Especially for the price I paid. I would not recommend it to anybody.

We stayed in Emmas Hideaway on the second floor. Both queen beds are too close to the wall to be accommodating for two people sharing the same bed. The stairs are steep and short tread which might prove a challenge for some getting suitcases up and down. The "garden view" was difficult to see due to smaĺl windows one of which has an air conditioner in it. The upside is its location. The room was clean and airconditioned. Bed was comfortable. Tasty continental breakfast in the room due to covid restrictions. Overall the stay was good.

Host didn't show up. Breakfast consisted in some yogurt in the fridge a muffin , a cookie and one slice of bread, for 2 adults. Old installations, a/c old and useless. In the sink you can't mix hot and cold water, you wash like they did 100 yrs ago.

Like most places, they have no taste in quality coffee. Food was OK. would have at least liked an option for a hard boiled egg or some such. Something more breakfast-like.

Cons- bathroom in the Captains quarters, is on the same common wall as the living room. Noises were clearly heard from both sides. Bathroom towels were disgustingly smelly and should be thrown. The smell was so bad that after we towelled off from showering we smelt just as bad as the towels! Completely unacceptable especially at the price of the room. Pros- this is a beautiful heritage property with a water view. The location is excellent and the breakfast was delicious. Hosts Are very good also.

The location of this beautiful 18th century home between the churches is excellent. The view while sitting in adirondacks out front was great. Host was very helpfull with selecting and booking restaurants.
