I do not recommend this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. It took over an hour to get our rooms, and the digital key cards were a constant issue. Each time I went to my room, the card wouldn’t work, forcing me to return to reception to reactivate it. Combined with a painfully slow elevator, this became incredibly frustrating. The room itself was outdated, with old furniture and surfaces covered in dust, including inside the closet. The quality of the toilet paper was extremely poor, and there was no coffee maker in the room. The provided instant coffee was of very low quality and wasn’t replenished daily. The breakfast buffet was disappointing, with a very limited selection that was repetitive, and on some days, even fewer options were available. Service during breakfast was also very slow. Overall, the hotel does not offer value for the money. The staff were unfriendly, and you should not expect a greeting or a smile from them. It was clear they didn’t care much about customer satisfaction or the quality of their service. This is definitely not a 5-star hotel.
Good
The hotel is good, but the furniture is very old, the location of the hotel is very excellent in the city and close to all shops and Old markets
Old mobilia and bad it’s so bad it’s not good
Beautiful view from the roof top, great location, rooms need to be refreshed, no safe in rooms, fridge not working
Staff are very welcoming , the location is perfectly close to most touristical spots , walking distances.
My experience at [Hotel Rabat], where my family and I stayed from [2nd ] to September 5th, 2024, was nothing short of disastrous, and far from the 5-star experience we were led to expect.Upon arrival, I was initially given a room that overlooked a dump, which was unacceptable. I requested a room change, and while the hotel obliged, the only available option was a room with two single beds, which I reluctantly accepted out of necessity as I was unfamiliar with the city and had no alternative accommodation lined up.However, the new room was also in poor condition. The room had a terrible damp smell, and the entire hotel seemed dusty, particularly in the corners. This triggered my son’s allergies, causing him to cough throughout our stay. I reached out to Expedia for help and was assisted by Samyadeep, who tried to contact the hotel to rectify the issue. They assured me that the hotel would get in touch with me directly, but I never received any contact from the hotel.Samyadeep then attempted to find alternative accommodations for us but transferred me to another team. I was told to wait for the hotel to resolve the issue and that I would be contacted by Expedia within 3 to 24 hours. It is now September 5th, our check-out day, and I have yet to hear anything from Expedia or the hotel. Throughout our stay, the hotel’s conditions were unbearable: - The room smelled damp, and the hotel was visibly dusty. - The TV had only 5 channels, none of which were watchable due to interference
Nice remodeled hotel with beautiful balcony excellent service. Well worth it.
Broken furniture. not a good choices for breakfast buffet.
Perfect hotel- close to everything, clean as well.
Great location
Old hotel
Nice stay for bride groom night Thank you
Amazing thank you
The Location is very good, but the services at Hotel very poor. Guests smoke everywhere, even in the hotel lobby. Smoking is permitted by the hotel management, which is not appropriate for a five-star hotel.
Very bed like 1*
Property condition very bad smell bad very old
Nothing special
Hotel looks amazing on the outside and so is the reception area. Upstairs the corridors are a bit dark and there is a musty smell in the air . The room was clean and bedding and towels were changed every day . It had a fridge but no tea or coffee making facilities . An iron and board was given when asked . Outside there is a tram that is very cheap and can take you around the city and to the marina with ease . There is a souk 10 minutes walk away and it was fantastic to buy presents for friends and family . Food is cheap and tastes amazing . They don’t have hot spicy food so if you like spices then you might struggle . Overall hotel was amazing . It had a pool too Reception was always helpful Bedrooms were clean but a little dated especially the bathroom .
I wouldn't give this hotel a five-star, the rooms smell like mold and they are tired and old
كثرة وجود النمل في الغرفة وعدم وجود الشطاف في المرحاض
Good place for business trip. Freid
The worst experience in Morocco
The hotel located in very noisy area, the elevator is not working, teh furniture is old in the room and not clean although the room is big and the bed is comfortable but the carpet is old and not clean . the food is good but no toster in the restaurant for breakfast The staff are helpful and nice but they do nothing about the hotel problems.
Everything was alright. It 'd be better if they have a bottle of water in the fridge as complimentary .
Very good location! Awesome staff!!! Delicious food!
Terrible service, stay away. Lacking in customer service.
I arrived 17:00 pm hotel but reception was so slow going they hold me at lobby 3 hours after that half an hour discussion about my wife she s Moroccan marriage certificate around 21:00 pm we got room , it was small room back side of the hotel wasn’t 5 star standard at all it was aloud outside very noisy so me and my wife decided not stay at all 21:30 we left hotel and go somewhere else they charged me 80 dirham tax and also 1000 dirham deposit l wasn’t happy how they behaved at all after long discussion l managed the took back 1000 dirham l thought so we will see they took money from my card or not it was the worst experience l never go back this hotel again
Very dirty and smell disguised
I had very bad experience from this hotel and I will never advise even to my enemies to stay in this hotel, I think one star will be better than this.
Staff was nice and I like how the place was clean..
First and Last time
Gave this hotel a go after having IT issues at previous hotel. This hotel has a mediocre breakfast buffet and some of the most foul tasting coffee I have ever tasted. Not even a complimentary bottle of water in room....25MAD! Room has a coffee maker, but they expect you to pay 35MAD for a pod! I'll be staying elsewhere on my next visit to Rabat.
Very enjoyable and relaxing stay
Disappointing
The hotel is old and requires attention with great need for renovation. The invoice given was in French which I couldn’t understand at all.
Great central location but the hotel is very old. Reception staff members unhelpful and rude. I checked in late at night, understably they didnt have anyone who can speak English at that time but in the morning when i went to the reception to get some information and help, rude receptionist said she was too busy for me and i had to come back later to ask my questions. Not a great welcome to an hotel and to a country especially if it is your first time Facilities very old. No kettle in the room for basic tea coffee. And ANTS 🐜 in my bed which did not let me sleep. When i was checking out i complained and the manager was aware of the issue already!? Ah... not a good experience in my first visit to this beautiful country. Sorry
Clean, friendly staff, comfy bed and pillows
Clean, friendly staff, comfy bed and pillows
Check reviews before staying
Very disappointing with the facilities every thing closed at 21.00 as staff had to get home, overall a very tired and run down hotel never 5star maybe 2
This hotel was in a great location overlooking the river and steps from the medina and tower. Rooms were very comfortable!
Good location, outwardly presentable hotel with good selection for breakfast. But this facility is in serious need of an upgrade. Our room had a very strong musty/ mouldy smell that was so bad we had to ask for a change of rooms. Second room still had a musty smell but not so bad. Holes in the grout in the bathroom, black mould in bathroom ceiling, creaky closet doors, in need of serious fix up.
The room provided to us (333) smelled of mould and seemed oike it was not occupied for a long time. We did not have water in the room and we were asked to pay for it. After much deliberation it was provided to us at no cost.
Very schocked to know about additional taxes on top of the reservation. On this hotel it was expesilly high. Please reduce it as it is a complete schock.
Needs improvement
Eventually they sorted out the issues after me involving Hotels.com team. Wasn’t impressed with the way they handle things to begin with. Eventually, got upgraded and it was fine. Breakfast could be better.
The room was worn out and out dated... Black mold in the bathroom... Needs a re-fresh badly. Gym equipment is broken and unsafe. Pool water seemed clean, but has many loose missing tiles at the bottom of the pool. Lost water pressure two nights out of seven. Two years ago I stayed at two other hotels for about the same rate and their quality was about the same. So my one star is a ratting comparing this hotel to hotels I stayed at in chicago for a similar room rate. So do not expect much for a room you'll have to pay $100 to $120 a night for.
Great management team
We were a group from Texas decided to stay at this hotel and we are glad we did The general manager made sure we were taken care off from our arrival to departure
Nice Hotel. Friendly staff. It is not a 5 stars Hotel for sure. Furniture in the rooms must be replaced. They are old and damaged for a 5 stars Hotel. Several eye sores inn the rooms.
Good hotel
Excellent location, the lounge and outside appearance of the hotel is great, but furniture and the facilities in the room were poor. It is not very clean, basic needs like water, kettle, cups, complementary tea bags, coffee.were not included. The air con is not working. Not a 5 star hotel, 3 star is more appropriate.
Tired hotel
Fixtures and fittings are tired. Shower curtain!!!
Great Location and Service - needs upgrading!
The location is wonderful - close to the medina for shopping. A walk from the main tourist areas and sights. And on the major routes to get to all the business areas of town - easy communications. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are well kept and clean and large. The hotel is very very old with shoddy renovation and lackluster interiors that really beg to be upgraded. There is a good bar but so much more could be done with this hotel to bring it out of being an Arab style 3 star to being a modern international 4-5 star. But it all works if you can manage the Africa/Arab standard.
A hotel for large groups. Nothing special.
Farah hotels are exclusively for groups so families, couples or solo travelers will find the hotel a complete let down. Since their focus is on groups, they pay no attention to personal needs. For example, in spite of many requests, they never helped me with a taxi. They could not care less. They are used to deal with a coach full of tourists. The location is not great either. Rooms are basic. So, essentially, this hotel works for conventions or groups since is functional but that's it.
Nice location
Friendly, and attentive. Breakfast could be improved with waiters serving. Hot water for tea was cold.
Nice Hotel
Was a good experience , staff wase excelent people
This is the place I always stay
Excellent as always. Staff friendly, food good, convenient for travelling.
Nice hotel close to the marina
It was very nice experience in recommend this hotel to everybody The crew are very nice the hotel clean has swimming pool in roof top with nice view to the marina. Thank you for the hospitality
Hard to say anything really good or really bad. The only reason for a one night stay was to be close to airport for next day early flight.
They don't care about customer satisfaction
I was very disappointed at the front desk and responsiveness. Telephone in room did not work. Informed front desk and no follow up. A package was keft for me. I asked for it. Front desk could not find it. Several times I requested the package. Front desk insisted it was not delivered. But after I left and the person who left the package followed up they magically found it. Needless to say I never got the package.
Good location
Price reasonable Good location Old furniture Poor exercise room Good size rooms Nice staff Reasonable breakfast
Bad hotel
This hotel it's very bad I will not recommend it to no body
bad experience There was a bad smell outside the room window. Room air conditioner does not work.
poor stay
This was the worst stay in years. Airco in the room not working. No Iron and when you ask the staff they can't help with anything. Breakfast is very poor and the service has no hygiene as how to work in a restaurant. Gym almost everything is broken.
We wish we didn't stay there
The ceiling in the bathroom was covered in mould. The entire room smelled musty. We had to ask for toilet paper because we didn't have any. We also had to ask for drinking glasses because there want any. The concierge was very unhelpful. The location was good.
Quality place in Rabat
Stayed far a couple of days after a family wedding. High standard (for Morocco), good price, super friendly staff. Happy to stay there again.
Good Business hotel
This is a business hotel, not the quiet riads of Morocco. For our purpose of taking a flight the next morning, it was fine.
Great location to enjoy Rabat.
Great location to initiation walking tours in Rabat. Within walking distance to all mayor seightseing attractions and all accomplished in a small radius to the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. Better air ventilation is highly recommended for rooms like our, which seemed not to be used for a long while.
This was a nice hotel, central and convenient.
This hotel is good and comfortable. The staff try to anticipate your needs and look for ways to assist as much as they can. It was central and not too far from everything I needed to do. The taxi drivers mostly knew the place and so with minimal effort I could get from one place to the other. My room also was comfortable and the service delivery demonstrated competence.
Stay Away!!!
Although the staff wher very pleasant the service was dreadful probably are a result of poor management: The Breakfast: ill prepared to nonexistent, The Bar; more expensive than the Dorchester with poor service and hardly any staff Stay away!
Close to the Old City
It was good but the staff is not comfortable, they work in proper way and respect you just when you pay them. The hotel it self is good specially when you have a good offer using Expedia or other online reservation firms. I used online reservation (including tax) but the front desk charged me extra money as a tax when I checked out. In addition the staff don't respect the guest if they don't pay for them. It is not possible for your friend to visit you in your room! They may call the police as they said!
Very hospitable
Very clean, comfortable and hospitable.
Nice hotel near the center niice view to rever
I traveling monthly on over the medetrian for some barlamantary meeting For that i find this hotel is very nice
Nice hotel centrally located
I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and ready to assist in any way they could. Nothing was said to be impossible for them to do. They always looked for a way to sort the matter out.
location is good
Dinner buffet food looked not fresh, flies in restaurant ,unproffessional masseuse,Hammam needs complete renovation as looks like 2 stars premises.
Dirty hotel
I will never ever think of staying tthere again. Very dirty bedding and room. Everything in the room can not be used fir humanbeing.
Not sure
Even though reservation was made and credit number given, cash to be paid on arrival, hotel was reluctant to grant access on arrival with the excuse that reservation was not done direct with the hotel. Even with the printed reservation email with reservation code, the hotel gave guests 4 instead of 6 nights.
Fine Rabat hotel
Fine hotel, interesting location. Many rooms have a great view of the Bou Ghareg river and Sale (not mine, alas)
Very good location
This is a good hotel with services being above normal standard. The only compliant is that the gym is very small and the equipment is in need of modernisation. Otherwise it comes highly recommended as staff were very friendly.
Excellent Hotel in Rabat
It was nice an excellent hotel in a very good location, if you are lucky you will get a room with the river view, the staff are all friendly, the breakfast is good and the spa is a also very nice
Hotel has a good infraestructure and location. Personell must improve attitude
This hotel is just above falling apart. The cabinets were broken, I was shocked when I touched the light near the bed. The shade fell off and there was a live wire. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and the garbage can had garbage in it.
nah
breakfast, service, maintenance was below average. worst hotel gym, i think better not have one..would not want to stay again...
Irresponsible Front Desk
I had booking for 2 days. When I arrived at the hotel at almost midnight after flying from America, the front desk could not fond my booking. They asked me to put a deposit and I had to do that. Next day I called the hotels dot com, they called the hotel and finally the issue was resolved. However when I checked out, I paid addition taxes and food I had at front desk. I went to taxi and they asked another 160 dirham, which I believe was incorrect but I was already in taxi and had to come to front desk, was very annoying. Overall I was unhappy with the front desk service.
Very noisy at day and night time, unfriendly and rude staff. Rooms are run down and old but relatively clean. Restaurant is overpriced and not clean. Breakfast is OK but trays are not refilled and tables are not cleaned...so make sure you arrive early.
One of the better hotels in its class in Rabat
This was the second time I stayed at the Golden Tulip Farah Rabat. Both times I found it to be one of the better hotels in its class in Rabat, with spacious rooms and internet included. It is nicely located near the medina and the Tour Hassan site. It is also steps away from a tram stop. On the not so great side, the cleaning staff continually left the windows in my room open. Aside from being a security risk (the room was only on the third floor), the room was very cold when I returned in the evening (it was mid-November). The gym is very disappointing: small with only three or four machines (and only two of them work). I also had problems during my latest stay at check in and check out, with the reception staff seeming to be unable to verify that my reservation had already been paid at the time of booking. I spent quite some time discussing the issue with the front desk when I arrived, and they eventually found that I had indeed paid. However, they failed to make note of it, so when I checked out, the reception again claimed that I needed to pay for my stay.
No Taxis but near the Tram station
Other than difficulties in finding a taxi, I had no issues with the hotel. If you opt to take the one waiting outside be ready to pay 3 or 4 times more tahn what a regular blue taxi would cost. Anyhow the hotel is near the old Souk, 5 min walk, also near the Teram staion this is a plus.
Very bad internet service. The rest is very good.
The internet service is very bad. It is very difficult to connect to internet.
Very good value for the money.
I stayed at the Golden Tulip Rabat for a total of five nights. The location is excellent, close to the Medina and the waterfront. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are clean and well maintained. I also stayed at the same hotel in Marrakech and in Casablanca. An excellent choice overall.
OKK
Pricy but convienant. friendly staff. Not much to do in Casa Blanca.
Perfect location for travellers who want he sites (Medina/Oudayas) but also want modern comfort.
The tulip is the best hotel in its area. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, the welcome (you don't wait at the counter, instead you relax with a welcome tea,) the gym with treadmills overlooking the Bou Regreg, and the room. They are a bit understaffed at the front desk but this is not a deal killer.
Nice rooms, but other issues.
Rooms were nice and very comfortable. The biggest issue was we checked out at 0430 in the morning and the night desk clerk tried to charge us for the rooms saying that hadn't been prepaid according to his reservations system paperwork (even though they had stapled my travel agency print out to the paperwork). He ran a carbon of my credit card that I was using to pay for incidentals (even the fact that they didn't take a print when I checked in didn't convince him it was prepaid) and tried to get me to sign it saying he wouldn't process it if the reservation manager told him it was prepaid when they showed up for work. I told him I wasn't signing it and he could run it without a signature and he would have to trust that I wouldn't contest it if travel agency didn't charge me (which they did). Only other issue was the traffic in front of the hotel (horns all night), but that should be alleviated when the construction is done. Location is right in the middle of a many of the sights to see.
Quite dated in decor but overall a nice stay. I was constantly followed by a very persistent doorman who insisted on grabbing my bags from me so that he could earn a tip. He followed me around for three days and it was infuriating.
Nice enough
First night in Morocco(during Ramadan. Nice enough modern hotel, friendly staff. Only there from late evening to early morning.
Normal
Hotel habitaciones envejecidas, situacion excelente, servicio normal,
good experience
Excellent
Hotel tres propre tres bien placé acceuil très professionnel
Très bien situé
Hotel is dated, needs an update.
