It was a short 2 night connecting flight stay very friendly atmosphere at the welcome and stay was comfortable and shuttle was arranged to go to the airport. All the members of staff and owner were chearful.

Staff was very friendly, good welcome with sweets and hot tea in cold weather.... Average breakfast! My room was on 2nd floor, size of was very less and bathroom was as smallest as can be built... In these price room is average, I didn't see 1st floor rooms...

I am not sure if the builders know about p-traps lots of sewer gas comming up from bathroom. And bring power strips not enough plugs in room

Nice hotel, convenient location, excellent staff.

The staff were very helpful, they were available 24-hours and quickly dealt with queries and the hotel was only a short walk away from everything. Overall it was a lovely experience.

room we occupied (a double then a triple) was very uncomfortable and small. the bed was very worn out, a leg of the bed was missing thus the bed was skew and uncomfortable. toilet was loose, almost no hot water, furniture outdated and a broken tv for show, wi-fi very slow and "toiletries"non -existent

Close proximity to sights + friendliest people

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights in January, 2018! I have never felt so welcome and helped as during this stay in this hotel! The owner and all staff were helpful and insightful with all our questions! They made our stay in Istanbul pleasant and easy! They helped us book tickets and they provided much guidance about directions and the organisation of our day! We also consumed an absurd amount of tea during our stay! In terms of location, this hotel is at the bottom of a hill and is a 5-10 minute walk (depending on your pace) to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia in the Sultanahmet area! There is a tram stop near the Blue Mosque which is a few stops from the Grand Bazaar and the Egyptian Spice Bazaar! This hotel is a great place to base your explorations of the many sights in the Sultanahmet area including the Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Archaeology Museum etc! I highly recommend this hotel! When I come back to Istanbul this is where I will be staying! There's also a lovely cafe/bar/restaurant across the street (Mitara) which I highly recommend!

Nice location, helpful staffs

Reasonable price and very close to several tourist attractions. My room looked a bit old but I was ok with it. Staffs were friendly and genuinely helpful.

Great hotel for an affordable price

I will go non stop if I have to list all the good things about this hotel: - very friendly staff -affordable price for a great service -very clean rooms -great location : close to the beach and 10 mins walking to the blue Mosk and hajia Dophia... -the hotel offer great food for cheap price ( I was offered every time I ate their a free starter and Turkish tea) - and a lot more ... That's why I would give 5 stars for this hotel because I personally had a great experience in Istanbul Thank you Family istanbul hotel!!!!!

Excellent staff very close to the main attractions

Stayed here for seven nights , got a room for four adults and one child. The room looks just like the images posted. The staff are very helpful and friendly, make tea for you any time of the day and night too ! The hotel is very close to blue mosque, grand bazaar a few museums and Bosphorus cruise are all within walking distance. Hotel staff let us use the kitchen for when we wanted to heat up any food and also offered to do it themselves for us. The only thing which I would want to be different is the breakfast as we had the same breakfast each morning (cucumber,tomatoes,olives,cheese, bread, honey,butter and jam) other than this I really enjoyed my time here thanks to the hospitality from the staff.

Nice family run Hotel on a nice location

This was our second stay during one trip at this hotel. We loved the service and friendliness off the staff. Would definitley recommend this hotel to anyone visiting istanbul.

Very friendly and helpfull staff!

We had a last moment booking at this hotel and when we came we found out that the room wasn't available. So the manager of the hotel (Iwas) arranged for us a really nice upgraded room without any extra costs. The room was very clean, spacy and had a nice balcony and bathroom. We loved it! After our stay we went to Kappadokya and we were given space to leave our extra luggage at the hotel, which was very nice as well. The hotel had a nice breakfast and we got free tea and coffee everytime we entered the hotel. Really amazing service so I would definitley recommend this hotel!

Great hotel with great prices

The hotel is great. It's very close to the tramway and to sultanahmet mosque and the staff is extremely friendly. Don't expect a high quality service considering the price tags. The only complaint I have is the breakfast, didn't like the meal at all, and the amount is few. Sorry ayvaz

We loved that place, location is perfect it's small cozy and clean above all the staff and the owner are amazingly friendly we really felt like home , we will definitely go back there on our next trip to Istanbul!

Great Hotel for its Price Range

Overall a great value for money hotel, the rooms are not amazing but have the basic needs which is amazing for this price range. The location is the definite highlight of this hotel being a stones throw away from what Istanbul has to offer and if you are looking for somewhere more traditional, less touristic then the tram line is the same distance as the great mosques like Hagia Sophia. Do note that if your expectations are too high for a hotel then you are going to be disappointed, due to this you should look for a different hotel as i said this one covers your basic needs and doesn't contain anything luxurious hence the price. On a Final Note 10/10, i got what i payed for.

Old historical area near to base of Ayasofia. You dont need a car or bus to reach any area. Hotel stuff was interested in all my demands and help me to do. Everyday cleanıng. If you classıfıed the hotel wıth ıts prıce. really approprate to stay.

i left my ❤️ is Istanbul. If i have to visit again i will definitely choose Family Istanbul hotel, wherein most of the tourist spots is located nearby. The staff is very warm, friendly and approachable. The cozy dine in area and clean room made us feel we're in the right place.. I am not a tea addict, but here i have tasted the best "apple tea" that they offer for us. ☕️ see you real soon FAMILY ISTANBUL, keep it well up !! :)

We enjoyed our stay at the Family Pasha Hotel. The hotel management and staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were provided with comfortable rooms and prompt service. Upon our arrival, the hotel manager, Ayuaz, was welcoming and helped us settle down after a long flight and provided with refreshing tea. The hotel staff especially, Fayyaz and Ayub, were very helpful during our stay. We never felt that we are away from home and staff did their level best to make our stay a memorable one.

Great location and good for family

hotel location was ideally located near to all amenities. Hotel owner was so friendly to children and felt like at family home. Free breakfast was nice. Pick and drop from airport was greatly serviced. Only issue was no one can speak English except owner who only come at certain hours and room service available unless you remind them couple of times.

Mediocre rooms and a lackluster breakfast (no eggs or meat), but offset by great location, friendly staff, and excellent service.

Basic hotel in Sultanhamet

Disappointing since a booked what I thought was a 3 Stars hotel not a family hotel. The bed was very unconfortable and the bathroom so small when sitting on the toilet your knees were against the wall opposite and I am only 5'3''. The staff waa very nice and available until late at night. The hotel ia conveniently situated in Sultanhamet. However the breakfast is served from 8.30 until 10.00. It is bit late when going on excursions or for an early flight to the airport. I would not recommand this hotel to my friend who are used to 3 stars hotel.

Pasha hotel, B&B...Istanbul...

Rooms and hotel might need a proper paint up again,a clever work on the deco would make this little place very welcoming and stylish... They should clean under the beds...We took a room for 3 people and they gave us a room for 4 , which was good otherwise would have been really tight and not able to move or have space for luggage. Breakfast is standard as per Turkey, they should have proper coffee served not just Nescafe...important!: about transfer to airport they charge 2/3 euro more compared to the many agency around the corner...well, I believe is their commission charge for the booking...not sure if this happen with all the hotel but again plenty of agency around to offer cheaper transport... overall ,nice stay and helpful staff... Safe place and right 5 min walk from the Blue Mosque....

Bad hotel for stay.

I don't recommend this hotel to anybody. While our stay, the rooms were filthy, the air conditioner was not working and we had hardtime spending night over there. And not just us. Many other people had complaints about the hotel too! Overall our experience 0 star!

budget stay in Istanbul

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were courteous, friendly and funny, the breakfast buffet was fantastic and our room was clean and spacious enough with a great view. The location is really good too. Very good value.

Great Staff, Not So Great Hotel

This hotel gave me mixed feelings. First, let me just say that the staff is very attentive and very gracious. They really sought to make my stay the best is could be. However, I had a problem with the description on Hotels.com not matching what was actually the case in real life. For example, there are no flat screen TVs. The hotel itself is old and dingy. The room I was in was very damp and the toilet and shower are in the same room. Sure, it was a low price for 1 night, but I still think the place could be better. The location can be hard to find if you don't start in the right place from the surrounding area. Breakfast was basic. Again, the staff was extremely friendly and cared a lot about the customer's satisfaction.

Convenient

Pasha Hotel staff, like the rest of the Turkish, were very friendly and accomodating. They were cool with 5 people sleeping in their 3 people bedroom and provided for all our needs (extra towels, extra fan...).

initially when i got to the hotel i expected it to be nicer, but u only get what you pay which was very cheap, but once i got use to it it was good, as it was clean good breakfast. brill location close to blue mosque, sea, shops and staff was excellent very friendly, i would definitely go back to same hotel.

great deal for the price

The hotel room was far smaller than it appears in the photo. traveling with family, I had lot of luggage, but the staff did everything possible so that we can feel comfortable. They stored our luggage in other place for us. The staff was really very helpful and polite. The location of the hotel is truley the great feature. Walking distance from blue mosque, topkapi palace, sea shore, trams. great deal for the money. being an old building they had many structural faults, but was very clean.

Great hotel; good location.

The hotel is behind the blue mosque close to the water. The staff are very helpful and friendly. A 10 minute walk to the tram. After reading the reviews before booking we were concerned about the size of the room but it was more than adequate. We stayed an additional 2 nights before leaving Istanbul.

Great location but cramped spaces

Good location, very close to the Blue Mosque. Old world charm, friendly and helpful staff. Very small room and bathroom-not ideal for families but ok for adults if you're trying to find a place to crash on a budget. Breakfast is good, similar to those at typical Istanbul budget hotels. The place felt old and needing upgrades. Our tv didn't work after a few hours. The shower head was broken and there was nothing to place the soap or shampoo in the shower area. Our next destination was Barcelona, Spain and for 20% less money we were at a very modern hotel.

This hotel is cheap but not comfy and not suitable for any human being or even a pet !!! the bath is conducting electricity !!! There is no room service for 5 days of stay they gave me 2 towels 1st day and no more and what made me most angry is that some one tried to open the room door by mistake !!! Last but not least breakfast is awful and once the buffet is finished there are no refills, i stayed in 2 rooms both were very narrow and no space to change sleep or do any thing uhhhh Im feeling better right now telling the truth so no body would be mis lead again.... To be honest it is very near to most of touristic places and that's it

Hotel room had too many beds.there is no amenities.no coffee makers even it was said they have it.it is very budget hotel.but I thought it would be much better to add 10 more dollar and get much better hotel.only good thing was staffs were very friendly and helpful.

it is perfect place to stay

if you go to Istanbul, you can stay here. It is very close to Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia and other historic places. It is only 7 minutes to tram.

Great hospitality, clean, perfect location, very small room.

The rooms are smaller than they look online, but they are clean and functional, and our window had a clear view of the Blue Mosque. The owner, Ayvaz, went out of his way to make sure all of our needs were met. He carried our heavy luggage up and down the stairs, stored it for a day when we checked out, and arranged transportation for us. He is friendly, helpful and funny, and he speaks excellent English. If you are traveling on a budget, like we do, this is a perfect hotel, an easy walk to the most beautiful section of Istanbul. If you expect, and can afford, a luxury hotel, look elsewhere. When we were there in Oct. 2010, Ayvaz had just purchased the neighboring building, so there may be some positive changes in the near future.

Extremly recommanded to go there again

As we stated in "travel experience" part of this survey. All people espatially Reception Mr. Avis was excellent and so kind. This hotel was clean, very good services we have recieved. We strongly recommanded to others to stay at Pasha Istanbul hotel. Price was good and location was really convinient to most attractive places in Istanbul. We defenitly want to go and stay there in next trip!

Номер очень маленький, совсем не такой как на фотографиях. Не понравилось, что не было фена в номере, хотя на сайте указывалось, что он есть. В номере ползали муравьи, босиком не походишь. Стены очень тонкие, допоздна слышали все, что происходит в холле. В комнате одно маленькое окно, можно считать, что его и нет, очень темно. Единственный плюс это персонал.

We had a very good stay at this family hotel. The personel was very friendly and the kids had a lot of fun. Good breakfast and very delicious chay and turkish coffee! The hotel is located at a very good location, it was easy for us to visit all the nearby monuments and mosques.

Un hôtel cauchemardesque, FUYEZ FUYEZ FUYEZ...!!!!

Quelle honte! Les photos publiées ne reflètent pas du tout l'établissement celles qui sont prises sont faites de sorte que l'on ne voit pas l'état vétuste et les malfaçons des chambres. Certaines photos doivent correspondre à un autre hôtel. Les prises murales sortent du mur 'attention aux enfants), les murs et les matelas sont sales (allergiques n'oubliez pas votre ventoline!), la salle de bain est pleine de moisissures, carrelage mal posé, vasque mal fixé, aucune aération ce qui donne une odeur de toilette public dans toute la chambre. Accueil souriant mais très bruyant, notre chambre se situé face à la réception où des discussions animées se tenaient jusque tard dans la nuit tous les soirs. Le wifi est très très très lent...quand il fonctionne. La cerise "SOUS" le gâteau le petit déjeuner ridicule, nous avions droit à une assiette avec exactement: 10 olives, 2 morceaux de concombre,2 morceaux de fromage, 3 morceaux de tomates et une portion de beurre, chocolat, miel et du pain. Le café ou thé devait être demandé. AUCUN BUFFET!!! C'est pas possible que cet hôtel ait autant de 5 étoiles et une note de 8 par Tripadvisor, les avis doivent être trafiqués par les gérants. Cet hôtel est une honte pour la Turquie il ne reflète pas les autres hôtels dans lesquels j'ai pu séjourné qui était très à cheval sur la propreté. Si vous tapez sur google "Family Istanbul Hotel" vous trouverez les vraies photos du délabrement et de la saleté de cet hôtel.

hotellets ejer (ajvaz) var meget hjælpsom/flinke og også De andre medarbejder. Hotellet var meget tæt på sultanahmet moskkeen og også de andre steder såsom tog. Hotellets inventar var pænt men det var lidt slidt og gammelt møbler. Morgenmads stedet var en lille hyggelig sted, hvor der var musik fra deres computer og samtale med ejermanden. Det ville være lækkert med buffet muligheder men morgenmaden var også ok i forhold til prisen.

Es ist ein sehr gemütliches Hotel, man fühlt sich wie daheim. Für den Preis, sollte man auch keine hohen Erwartungen haben. Für wenig Geld hat man saubere Zimmer und ein unheimlich freundliches zuvorkommendes Personal. Stets mit einem lächeln im Gesicht auf Zufriedenheit der Kunden ausgerichtet. Aufgrund der etwas dunkleren Optik wirkt es auf den ersten Blick eventuell etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber für solch einen Preis sollte man auch nicht mehr erwarten. Man fühlt sich wohl, es ist sauber und es ist 100% Vertrauen seitens des Personal gegeben, ich glaube das ist das wichtigste. Ich würde wieder hingehen.

Muy buena atención solo recomiendo remodelar los baños.

El personal se preocupó por atendernos muy bien, te hacen sentir como en casa. Muy bueno el desayuno. La ubicación de primer nivel. Las instalaciones son antiguas y les falta mantenimiento.

Otel konum olarak çok iyi. Otel sahibi Ayvaz Bey inanılmaz birisi. Sohbetinden ve misafirperverliğinden büyük keyif aldım. Otelin tek eksiği eşyaların biraz eski olması. Ama yine de bu fiyata kalınacak en iyi yerlerden birisi olduğunu düşünüyorum.

Mysigt

Mysigt hotell med 5 minuters promenad till Sultanahmet och AyaSofya. Perfekt avstånd även med småbarn! Hotellet är litet, mysigt och familjärt. Personalen var trevliga och serviceminded, verkligen hjälpsamma. Rummen var i bra storlek. Frukosten var okej. Bra med transfer som man kunde köpa till på hotellet!

The problem is only about the rooms, very tight and small, no space to put a chair or to watch a TV If you want to use it only for sleepung, it is perfect, but not useful to make any activity inside.

Hübsches Hotel sehr zentral

Die Lage des Hotels war super man konnte alles zu Fuß oder mit dem Straßenbahn erreichen. Das Personal und der Besitzer sind sehr freundlich. Man wurde wie zu Hause aufgenommen. Sehr herzlich.

Het hotel was leuk en lag ook goed. Alles is makkelijk te bereiken met openbaar vervoer. Leuke eettentjes. Je wordt vanuit sultan ahmet ook opgehaald en weggebracht met de shuttle naar vliegveld, heel handig

Perfect location, close to everything in Fatih; historic sites such as Sultanahmet mosque and many other mosques, supermarkets, grand bazaar, restaurants----Everything! The hotelroom which we received was very cleaned and well-equipped. If anything was needed the staff happily provided it. The hotelstaff was very kind, respectful and helpful. I would like to give my thanks to Feyaz, Ayvaz and the rest of the staff who made this a pleasant stay. When I return to Istanbul I will definetely book the same hotel again.

Hvis man søger luksus så er det ikke her man skal tage hen. Men hotellet er til prisen 5 stjerner værdigt. hotel ejeren meget venlig og service minded. Hotellet og værelserne er mindre primitivt. men til prisen helt perfekt og med kun 5 min. gang til centrum og den store barzar

L unica cosa positiva é l ubicazione. Stanza piccola, il bagno non ha funzionato per due giorni e non ce l hanno sistemato nonostante la nostra richiesta. Colazione poco variata. Il personale é gentile ma il servizio e la struttura lasciamo molto a desiderare.
