Great place for families!
The only thing that was not the best was the buffet food was always cold.
My family and I (5 of us) stayed in the 2 bedroom master suite and there were so much room!! The hotel is beautiful. The staff was amazing; super friendly. Special shout outs go to the entertainment team - Fabio, Nani and Rasia. There made our stay extra special! The food was 6.5 out of 10- we've stayed at a few places in DR with exceptional food so I would rate this average. Our bedroom was next to the living room of the party next door and the walls are THIN so we were able to hear all their conversations. Not the most pleasant for their 2am room service and their 3am drunken loud sex romps. I would suggest buildings where they have more family friendly guests and buildings for people who want to go on ragers and benders. Despite that, we loved the property and would come back.
WILL RETURN
Attention to DETAIL!! Beautiful and very clean resort. If I had one complaint, it would be more for the resort to provide Turkey or Chicken options for Breakfast for some individuals that can’t eat Pork. Concierge service with Lissette was AMAZING!! Jorge and Rafael pool side are AMAZING mixologists!! We had a wonderful experience and will return soon. ❤️
Overall it was a nice place to stay. Child friendly. Most of the staff was great. Food could be better but could have been worse so basic. Walls and doors are not well insulated so you unfortunately could hear all the people in the halls. Usually quiet after 10pm but like anywhere ypu have a few rude people. The beach is a 3min golf cart away or a 10/15 min walk. Beach was nice and clean. Water park was good for our needs except the baby section sprinklers didn't work so that was disappointing but baby still had a blast. The crib we had requested was there upon arrival. This was a great experience for our family of 4 which included a 1yr old. We also had a swim out room which was fantastic and another reason we chose this resort. We would go to another Melia resort.
Not Worth the Hype – More Like a 2-Star Hotel I regret booking this resort. It’s advertised as a 5-star experience, but in reality, it’s barely a 2-star. From the moment we arrived, the service was awful—slow check-in, uninterested staff, and an overall lack of hospitality. The worst part was the beach staff constantly harassing us to buy overpriced excursions. We couldn’t relax for five minutes without being approached and pressured to spend more money. It felt like they cared more about upselling than guest experience. The rooms were not properly cleaned, housekeeping was unreliable, and basic amenities were often missing. The food was bland, repetitive, and definitely not up to the standard of a so-called luxury resort. Drinks were weak, and getting decent service at the bar was nearly impossible. The beach and pool areas were overcrowded with not enough loungers, and the entertainment was lackluster at best. Many advertised amenities were either unavailable or required extra fees. Save your money and go elsewhere—this resort is NOT worth the price. I would never return and do not recommend it to anyone expecting a true 5-star experience.

Wonderful resort for kids and families.
Over all good family experience. Side dishes under heat lamps on the buffet were not kept warm. The staff was exceptional !
!! HONEYMOON REVIEW!! hi! i’m emma, me and my new hubby came to this resort for our honeymoon! we have never been on a plane, let alone out of the country! So this was all new to us! One thing i want to say is, get a concierge package!! especially if you have never been to a resort before! Our concierge, Omar, was an absolute delight. He made everything so so easy for us. He made the stay as enjoyable as it was! You will need to download Whatsapp to communicate with your concierge. They send daily activities, supper plans (which they reserve for you), schedules activities (which they schedule for you), and help with anything you need! We had a bit of trouble with our transportation to and from the resort, BUT that was on me. We used the recommended Optium company. I booked them too soon, and our flight number ended up changing, so keep an eye on that! At the resort, their rooms are very nice and clean! All of the employees are welcoming and show you around while bringing you to the room! (Once again, we had the concierge package so it might be different for other packages) Big thing i read reviews on before coming was the food. Yes, you have to be careful what you eat. It is like that whenever you have new foods from new states or even countries. my husband ended up getting some stomach pain and diarrhea.. but that happened after the buffet, so for the rest of our stay we watched out for meat, dairy and cold food. I stocked up with vitamins before so i didn’t get sick!
Staff was amazing, facility is stunning! Programs are seamlessly integrated within. So many options too! We are DEFINITELY going to be back and spreading the word
Overall, it’s a great resort. The staff are super warm and accommodating! Very family-oriented, especially for young children. Loved the different themed music nights. Rooms were spacious and beautiful. Mini bar and free room service was handy. Daily buffet could use a few more rotating options. Also, please be mindful of food handling. It was concerning to see the same utensil be used to pick up different kinds of uncooked meat, then it was wiped not washed.
Beach hotel room and ground service perfect lobby bar and restaurant just ok mostly buffets asian was good
We took our one year old and this was our first family vacation. We felt supported the entire way through and both the conditions and service made it so we always felt our son was taken care of and that we could enjoy ourselves. Fully recommend for families with small children!
Amazing vacation all around. Concierge service was worth every penny. Our concierge Yerfy Johnson was exceptional and took care of anything we could possibly wish for! The hotel is clean, food is great and beach was amazing.
This is our 2nd time at this hotel. We absolutely love it. The rooms are actually suites, with a living room and a bedroom, which is great for families with children. The food is wonderful (which is not always true at Dominican Republic resorts). The property has a wonderful water park with slides, and a children's club where you can leave your kids for a couple of hours. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is one thing you should now about: the property is not right at the beach -- you need to walk about 10 - 12 minutes but it is a very pleasant walk with sightings of iguanas, exotic birds and palm trees. You can also take a shuttle, but we always walked. Enjoy!
It has everything in one place and there are activities for every single one
We had a great stay here. Upgraded are worth it!
You get robbed and they do nothing
It was beautiful. My only complaint was the people in the unit above us were EXTREMELY noisy. Dragging furniture back and forth over the floor. This went on for hours! We went to the front desk to complain. Nothing was done. We even went upstairs and asked them to stop. They never controlled their children.
Great property grounds. Staff was hit or miss, someone would be absolutely phenomenal and others would be rude and passive. Frustrating. Food was good. We did the VIP package which was $400 more and included premium liquor/host of various other “benefits”, none of which we saw or experienced. The top shelf liquor was what everybody was getting anyways and several times when we’d ask for it we were told that we would have to pay for it.
Stayed here for a week for my wedding and then another resort after. The service and staff were exception compared to my other stay … highly recommend!
The property is beautiful and great for families with young children. My only criticism is the food, I found myself eating a lot of fried food and carbs as the options at the buffet weren’t great.
I liked friendly staffs , foods at the buffet. Always cleaners clean and very cautious. I will go this place with my children's family again. We went Punta cana 3 times already but I like this place the most. Especially the girl named Kenia did everything for us. I already miss her smile.
Great beach, good food, good rooms starting to fall apart a little, can use more cleaning
Perfect vacation
We had an amazing vacation. This hotel was perfect for our family. Everything was so easy. From booking, to scheduling transportation and activities, getting to the beach, lots of options for meals and room service, and so much fun for kiddos. We would definitely stay here again or at a different Melia hotel!
Very modern, new and clean. The food was great and it was centrally located. The staff were super attentive and accommodating. Definitely coming back.
Clean, close to the airport
very modern resort clean rooms were spacious and modern, suite style rooms beach access, 10min walk
The property is beautiful and spotless. Customer service is outstanding. The food and drinks were simply delicious.
Beautiful property and rooms. Very clean and aesthetic. Very much a family resort. Food and restaurant service were so so. Restaurants are essentially only open at dinner and arent all that different from the buffet. Theres one buffet. Its not a big selection. Breakfast and lunch are mostly limited to the buffet. Bars make pretty good drinks and the alcohol available includes decent brands but top tier brands require purchase. Kids club is decent but they dont serve the kids meals so you cant leave the kids there for long stretches.
Beau
We've made a great choice at staying at this resort! Th attentiveness of customer service was amazing. Our rooms were very clean and the kids enjoyed the waterpark. I would recommend this resort to friends and family.
Very quiet resort and hard to get to eat at the other restaurants.
There was plenty of mosquitoes I got bitten so many times
Managment complete disregard for guest experience
I had a very disappointing experience at this resort during my recent trip to Punta Cana. Check-in was good but then once you turn down signing up to be a Circle Member, the service changes. Issues included and were not limited to; * Unable to make dinner reservations despite the restaurants being mostly empty at night * Needed to call for restock of the in-room fridge daily * Food at the buffet was cold and repetitive.Whatever we ate at lunch was just left there for dinner. * Service once we did manage to get a dinner reservation was terrible. You would place your order and servers would conveniently forget portions of your order. Food was cold.Service was very slow. But the icing on the cake for us was when we were told that a very large group had booked the whole resort and were beginning to arrive Tuesday evening. We were checking out on Thursday. We didn't have a problem with a large group but what we did have a problem with was how this group overran the resort as they were arriving. There was no regard whatsoever for the other guests at the resort. Restaurants were closed. The buffet was literally closed and we were moved to an area outside on the grass. This is not what I paid for. This was a terrible way to treat guests that paid a good amount of money to visit this resort. We ended up ordering room service for the last couple of days we were there. It would have been nice to know prior to booking that a large group was expected on such and such dates.
N/a
The resort closed the main buffet, sports bar, and beach restaurant to allow for a large group. No information was given before my stay that this was occurring and to me it seemed like false advertisement. No compensation was given or any other options to stay at a sister resort. Had I known this I would have never stayed here. It was a big inconvenience and no communication was even given.
Lovely spot - wonderful facilities and staff. The suites were so nice. But We were very disappointed for the last 4 days when a large group arrived and the rest of the guests were moved out of the buffet into a smaller outdoor eating venue which was open to the weather and had a lot smaller selection of food. Also the cold food was not cold due to being outside with little shade and close to the grills and warming lights. There were sandwiches and sushi at room temperature. There was a group of boys playing football a few feet from the food tables and I had to ask the staff to do something about it. We were not told ahead of time about the changes. One night it was raining heavily and we had to get wet in order to get our food. One day we planned to eat at the beach restaurant and took the shuttle there only to find it was closed for everyone but the private group. There was hardly anyone in there. Some of the guests from the private group were coming into our buffet be we were not allowed into their buffet. The food truck they opened at the beach was serving cold food that was not cold. Even a note under the door would have been helpful. Kids from the private group were allowed to do whatever they wanted- ordering non alcoholic drinks from the bar without adult supervision- as kids do- ordering more than they could consume. We felt like second class citizens. I will not come back unless there is a guarantee that this will not happen again.
Beach was dirty - Full of Plastic Restaurant Options Regular Food Quality Regular Too much noise in the beach: Sellers, etc. It is difficult to rest
We really enjoyed our stay at the Paradisus. Hotel was beautiful, we had a swim up master suite (2 adults, 3 kids all comfortably fit). Kids club was amazing. My littlest was the first time separating and went right in. they allowed to stay with older siblings and were all really personable. The only negative was right when we arrived, we were told that there were no reservations (basically unless we did family concierge). I went to guest services and let them know I would not have booked if I knew there’d be no reservations. There was also another guest complaining at the same time (I think this helped). A rep was then assigned to me and within a day I had reservations for 5 out of the 6 nights. She was super helpful and so appreciated.
Overall the hotel was super clean, food was good, daycare for kids and water park was excellent. I had 2 minor issues on 2 different days within my stay and Julianna from Guest Service handle both issue fast, she was very diligent, knowledgeable, always with a smile on face and solve both issues right away. Highly appreciated her work and effort. She should be at the same level (get a promotion) Of the supervisor Pamela who was also very kind and diligent as well.
Beware of fake reviews because I didn't. I never write reviews but I can't stay quiet after staying 6 nights here with my husband, mother in law and 2 babies. If you like good food, STAY FAR AWAY. First of all, Check in is at 3pm, which is fine but its too late for you to make a dinner reservation. They tell you to go to their "Tex Mex" sports bar to eat and then the buffet for dinner. The food is horrible. Any chain restaurant in the US is better than what they're serving here which is sad. The next day we went to go make reservations and they told us they had no more availability in any restaurant for the rest of our stay and our only option was to eat at the buffet where options were limited and the same everyday. We went and complained to guest services and they were able to get reservations for 4 nights. One of the nights was Korean BBQ which is just hibachi but on a grill. Our reservation was for 6:30 and we were sat with other guest waiting for the chef to come and start. We didn't get appetizers until 40 mins in, didn't get drinks until 50 mins and they didn't start cooking until 8pm. The restaurants food is just not 5 star quality like they're claiming to be. The food lacks flavor and creativity. Our hotel room lost power around 4 times and had to get maintenance to come and fix it. Our Ac all of sudden was stuck at 69 and couldn't be brought down any lower. A lot of the staff was rude and didn't seem happy to be there even with us tipping.
This resort is very elegant, clean and large with many pools. If you're a drinker, there was plenty of alcoholic beverages everywhere. Sadly, the snack bar is closed after midnight for the munchies after coming out of their sport bar; there's no disco. Unfortunately, I'm in a wheelchair and there were NO wheelchair accessible bathrooms on the lobby and no grab bars in my assined bathroom room. The beach's boardwalk was too short; therefore unable to get to the water. The staff was faily pleasant, with the exception from a male waitress at the Mangu Restaurant; then again, I would not recommend the restaurant in is entirely because the menu is limited and food is reheated; my husband is a Chef. There's no night life or activities within the hotel after 11pm, if you come to party, you might have to go out to Coco Bongo, the nearest disco. The hotel should have a bit more activities for ALL ages.
The resort is beautiful and the rooms are lovely. The pool area and the kids' club are awesome! We had issues with some of the staff at check-in, but Oscar saved the day, so shout out to him! There were some outstanding and generous waiters in the buffet and by the pool! The biggest problem with this resort was the food and some of the service at the a la carte restaurants. The food was generally quite bad (and I'm really not picky at all-inclusive resorts) and many members of the waitstaff struggled with with English and would bring something different than what we asked for or not bring a meal that was ordered. I don't expect every member of the staff to have a great grasp of English, but if you are working with primarily American and Canadian clientele and are expected to converse with the visitors, a solid grasp should be expected.
Overall the staff were not friendly and accommodations were not as expected. Not only did we not get our upgrade, but they tried to downgrade our room! And on the last day they locked us out of our room. Terrible way to end the stay.
The check in service is really slow. The restaurant reservation is not only slow but also with limited choices. Timing slots for dinner reservations are very limited as well.
Beautiful property and the staff was amazing! I would definitely plan to visit this property again.
Food was decent but I was impressed with the cocktail program. I do wish though that they had different themes for cocktails at each bar but they were all the same. Overall the staff was solid but a few members were exceptional. The rooms were top notch. The only negative was the concierge which it seems you pay a premium for. The first day our concierge seemed very attentive taking notes and the second day she sent us the itinerary in the morning. After that she was MIA, unable to answer simple request, her “phone died” and when we asked in the morning to know our dinner reservation times we weren’t notified of them 5 minutes prior to the actual reservation while we were still in bathing suits. The remainder of our trip we just asked the front desk if we needed anything and set up our own dinners, transfers ect. They be better off not offering “concierge”. Overall I would definitely consider going back.
Stayed here as a family of 6 with two rooms booked, and I would not recommend the resort to anyone. There are better “5-star” resorts. Pros: -Master suite rooms are spacious with good views. -Lobby, buffet and overall aesthetics of the resort are beautiful. Cons: -Resort did not accommodate our request for our room to be next to each other, despite communication they would. -Service is hit or miss. No towels left after supposedly the room was cleaned, I mean seriously not a single towel for us to use. Despite tipping. Had to constantly call down to guest services. -Most staff is miserable to be working there, except a few working in the buffet area. If you ask for help they look annoyed and at times rude. -The seating around the resort is filthy. -Not a beach front property, which is fine, there is a shuttle but you’ll have to wait. At times staff is standing around and there’s a buggy to take you but they ignore you. -Vendors are roaming the beach, but they also walk right upto your lounge chairs, even when resting. Hotel staff does nothing, vendors are relentless. -Beach chairs are awful, broken and the area is dirty, no way it’s a 5 star experience. Also staff at the beach is sparse, so don’t expect help. The views are also obstructed with the lifeguard and cabanas. -Worst service at the water park restaurant. Def people working there hate their jobs. -Food mediocre overall, and hard to find food when the buffet is closed. Overall the resort looks like a 5-star but beha
worst hotel ever
it was the worst stay we’ve ever had at any hotel in our life. from the moment of check-in the most unfriendly aggressive staff at the front desk and the worst guest services. nothing was right. we were traumatized by the experience and would never tell anyone to even consider booking there. we are filing a complaint with the management.
The suite and resort decor was second to none. Very top shelf for a family type resort. The buffet assortment and layout was even top shelf (and 7 restaurants). Lastly, the staff was very friendly and resourceful. Appreciated the accommodations they provide (a room for showering and changing) for travelers with later flights. Will definitely recommend and return here.
Food
-spent Christmas with kids lots of activities for them in this aspect probably one of the best resorts in punta cana and I have been coming since 2002 -nothing special about restaurants pretty much buffet food in different setting maybe one or two different things in menu -buffet was good with lots of variety -all menus are with QR and the internet is terrible and getting a menu is hit or miss no paper menus -service from staff was good and they really tried to help however they are limited by things out of there control im fluent in Spanish so I would hear there frustration with upper management. - place is clean and beds are good - not that it matters much I thought it’s was pretty funny but the crew painting the facility is terrible paint drops everywhere I mean everything from landscape to floor full of drops 😂 -not my first all inclusive so I understand how the tipping game works and I tipped every meal a five goes a long way other families we met where new to this complain about service but once I told them they saw the difference so for those going not expecting to give something every meal don’t expect anything amazing accept this reality AT ALL RESORTS PRETTY MUCH staff makes less than $200 a month put that into perspective -kids water park is really nice the only downside is you can’t get near any cabana or a hedge the mosquitoes will eat you up and this was in December I can’t imagine in the summer I mean bad I’m sure some bug spray will work.
Staff would never respond. Many things didn’t work in our room when we checked in that we had to fix: phone, TV, hot tub, leaking toilet roof, and insufficient sofa bed. Dinner reservations are hard to get. Once we got everything fixed, the salary was comfortable. We just felt like general contractors getting things fixed.
Rooms were nice with plenty of room for the family. Kids club was wonderful and the waterpark was great! Lots of activities for the kids! Only issue was that you had to wait over an hour in line to get dinner reservations. You also had to make reservations for the buffet on Christmas Eve and no one told us this. They also bombarded us upon arrival trying to upsell you for $1k to have priority dinner reservations instead of informing us about the property and what was available. We met a number of people with the same complaints. Overall we had a good time and a nice vacation, but we are not likely to return due to the upselling and the lack of communication.
Wonderful
We had a great stay at Paradisus Grand Cana! Everything was perfect—from the beautifully maintained facilities to the excellent service provided by the staff. A special thank you to Francelis and Julianna for their outstanding support; they truly made our experience memorable. The only issue we encountered was the presence of mosquitoes, which were a bit of a nuisance. It would be great if stronger measures were taken to address this. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we look forward to returning!
Good Services
I felt like family when I was there. I had a surprise for my partner and they went above and beyond to bring my dream to life. When i checked in I was paired up with a member of guest services Julianna who helped me with all my needs while I was there, she helped me plan my surprise and messaged me every morning [10 days] with a good morning and a list of the activities for the day. I felt spoiled and i would definitely come again in the future!
Looks good in pictures but not all rooms are same. First room we got was dirty, had sand on the floor and was at the end of the resort and tons of smells including paint stains all over. We ended up changing our room which took bunch of calls to the front desk and a few hours. Real deal breaker is Bad food. Buffet which is the main restaurant has stale and worst food, my wife got food poisoning from the first meal and we spoiled our 4 day stay. Ended up at the on site doc with additional $400 expense. The scary part was that the doc suggested to go to a local hospital if her condition worsens. Pls make sure you have considered that in you planning. Speciality restaurants are even worst, only place you can get above average food is ‘Tori’. Mini fridge is a joke with some cheap light beer and water. No welcome drink of anything. Hotel also ignored our request to do something as it was my wife’s 40th birthday. Not even a cup cake. Waterpark is good but beach is not walkable so you have to take a golf cart from hotel. I would not recommend to anyone. Most important- we booked through expedia so the hotel treated us like second citizens. Pretty much for everything they will tell us to talk to Expedia.
I have visited many all-inclusive resorts over the years, and this resort ranks among the top in satisfaction. - the property is clean and gorgeous - the rooms are spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. - the staff are amazing, friendly, helpful - dining experiences were all great, from the buffet to the a la carte restaurants - gym was enough to enjoy workouts everyday The overall experience was incredible, and I would definitely visit again.
Fantastic property!
This hotel is fantastic! The rooms are spacious, the pools are lavish, and overall, it's just a great time. Highly recommend.
The property is great and very well run! Everyone was super helpful and friendly. The property is part of a larger enclave of Melia properties but definitely the best of the three or four around. The beach is well maintained and very easily accessible with the golf carts. There were lots of activities for the adults and kids, even if you did not want to leave the property through the day
Paradisus Grand Cana - resort was amazing, new and luxurious. The ground and the property was always kept clean. We stayed for a week and had a blast. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our swim up room was great - ample space, clean and comfortable. Patio and jacuzzi were excellent. Special shout out to - Yuberkis at buffet during dinner time. She always had a smile on and went above and beyond every time. We couldn’t get a reservation on the night we arrived for my birthday but she went above and beyond to make my night memorable. I can’t thank her enough. Also, two servers at the main pool. I think their names were Francisco and Leonardo. They were amazing, always on top of our orders, and always with big smiles 😊 on their face. Even though it was scorching hot some of the days. Staff there definitely made our stay much better. Only recommendation I can suggest - opening the restaurants earlier including the buffet. With small children and elderly - earlier dinner would have been better for us. Also, it was extremely hard to get reservations for the restaurants so we just stuck with the buffet. Only went to Tori 1 night for dinner. Only available times were 8:30 or 9:30 pm. That’s too late for us. Other than that no other issues. We had a blast. We will definitely be back!
Perfect vacation!
Excellent stay! Great Hotel! Great service!
A beautiful resort, all of their staff is gentle and well mannered, very respectful and we really appreciate their willingness to show us around or help us. The pool bar and waitress around the pool were the best and we loved every drink they made. Every place in this resort is clean, the food was great and we had no problems booking restaurants during the week of thanksgiving. We did the thanksgiving dinner and my husband loved it but I wish I did the buffet which had lovely dominican tasty food that night instead. The children’s club is great and the staff there are awesome, my kids did not want to leave. My kids loved the activities they organized for them, the neatness of the facilities for children, the games (specially video games), their indoor soccer room, and the time they spent with them outdoors too. Overall if you have children 13 and younger this is the best place. Second time here and our kids and us as parents loved it all.
Food was very poor. All restaurants required use of QR codes for menus which were glitchy at best and the staffs communication in English was also very poor making the dining experience frustrating.
We had been to a Paradisus resort in the past and it was incredible so we were excited to go back to one but this one was just average. The water park, our room and the kids club were amazing but the entertainment was lacking and dining was very limited compared to other all inclusives we have been to over the years. In fact, the food was just not good in general. There was nothing special about it, especially the deserts and drinks. All of the food was either cold (when it shouldn’t be) or lukewarm or stale and very little options seemed to be made fresh to order. The freshest thing I had was a tortilla chip. We also did not like that you could not take anything from the buffet or anywhere to go back to your room. Then you could not get any of your reservations made more than a few hours in advance. Also you couldn’t seen any menus until you were in the restaurant because the website does not work and most of the time the internet was down. I verbalized my concerns about the bad food to a couple of the staff and they did express concern. A few days after that, I got food poisoning the day before we left and it is the most sick I’ve ever been. I told some staff this too at our checkout but no one seemed to care I was very sick. So overall, it was an ok place if you are looking for somewhere to take your kids for a few days but not if you’re looking for a great experience like other resorts may have to offer. This place is lacking leadership and direction which is a shame.
This hotel is very much family friendly and very good staffs.
The hotel is beautiful, but the management is horrible. The security manager has extremely bad actitud, that a family hotel which means kids are allowed and they can even play in the room because at a second will be 3 guys knocking your door and ask to shut the kids down because they are annoying with those exact words. When I went to give a complain they came to show us the hotel behavior rules , and to cover all the disrespect from Francisco the security manager who threat my husband to fight and even say that if he see him on the streets he will kill him. There are cámaras all around but no one will listen to us they will just keep covering to protect the employe’s unacceptable bahavior.
The service of the staff and my concierge were excellent. The spa was one of the best that i have been too. I would like to specially thank Jenfre and Pantry for excellent customer service. I will definitely be coming back.
I was somewhat confused about their customer service at the reception and pool area. Sometimes it seemed like a lot of people, but doing nothing. Buffet was not bad, but not great. Dinner at the restaurants was not different from the buffet. On the last night, decided to forego the restaurant and head directly to the buffet. I asked a few times about the women’s bathroom near the pool area and was ushered to a one stall bathroom which was one morning clogged and told to go to the men’s bathroom. Asked about 4 people to show me where the women’s bathroom (more than one stall) at the pool area and they kept referring me to the one stall. When I would ask for a bigger bathroom, there were just blank stares. I speak both spanish and english, so there was no language barrier.
Highly recommended, we were upgraded to a master suite. Staff provide excellent service very accommodating, very attentive. Rooms were very cleaned. Hotel very beautiful. Very family
Excellent and convenient hotel. Great staff, food of the greatest quality and beautiful gardens.
Confortable
My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous time at the resort. Everything is good as I saw prior to booking. Our chaperone ~Verenise Liria was so good. She was kind, nice and sweet. She deserves a raise. Thank you for the special anniversary dinner and decoration. You had colour to our day. At the dinner, Fransua and Josue attended to us. They were so kind and very welcoming. I think they deserve a raise In all we had an exceptional great time and we enjoyed our anniversary celebration. We will definitely be back with our kids next time God willing.
Excellent place, super clean, food is amazing and excellent to bring the family.
Everything was good
I loved this place we travelled with family and young children, and it was excellent.
Our stay was truly exceptional! The moment we arrived, welcome drinks were served. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, look just like the pictures! We had a swim up, very private, was perfect for relaxing, with plenty of comfortable loungers and a jacuzzi on our patio. Took a shuttle to the beach, plenty of chairs, activities and a beachside restaurant. Our favorite restaurant was the winery, Josh was AMAZING! Overall, we had an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend to anyone seeking a luxurious getaway with your partner or whole family.
Great stay
Overall it was a great stay. Super friendly staff and always willing to help.
All good
Incredible customer service Friendly staff really elevated the experience Would benefit from more restaurant options for breakfast… something a la carte rather than a buffet - didn’t detract from beauty and experience of the resort at all though
Not well kept, lack of maintenance
The resort is stunning, but it’s important to note that it’s not actually beachfront, despite being advertised as such, which was quite disappointing to discover upon arrival. We paid extra for a master suite swim-up with Family Concierge, expecting it to include all the advertised luxuries, but many of these were only accessible with an additional upgrade to “circle” status. Securing dinner reservations was also incredibly frustrating, as availability was nearly nonexistent—even though the resort was at low occupancy. While the food was decent and we didn’t experience any issues there, in hindsight, this was an extremely expensive resort for what we actually received. We’re particularly disappointed with Expedia, as they misrepresented what was included and did nothing to resolve the issue when we raised it.
The staff was so accomodating. The property is humongous, but navigating is easy. All inclusive means ÀLL inclusive! I am looking to join Melia if all their properties are like Gran Cana then im in heaven!
The facility is nice but the restaurant food are very poor, to eat a decent meal you have to pay extra, restaurants are mostly closed.
The best thing about the property the staff are nice and amazing Other than that it sucks Food is okay steakhouse has good food and the buffet it’s small selection but it taste good all the other places are not good We paid so much extra to get the swim up room We got the room yes it’s big but dirty You pay so much to expect something nice and clean Jacuzzi didn’t work was broken I asked to get it fixed never happened Bathroom fan was broken they fixed it Shower wasn’t working well they fixed it But filthy dirty rooms You walk into the room warms in the floor specially in the morning We had 5-9 warms Everyday . Last time at this resort for sure.
Paradisus Grand Cana was an amazing stay for our young family of four. The resort is a perfect location for families with kids where the kids will have plenty to do with an amazing center pool for kids to play, a fun Water park, great food and drinks and the perfect touch of culture to feel that you're also experiencing the country through its foods at the Origen buffet and activities. My constructive criticism would be that the actual restaurants that require a reservation the menus and the selection of plates offered feel that they fall a little short on the portion and quality and sometimes we opted for the buffet since that never disappointed. At the buffet, you find what seems to be an endless selection of food, and more importantly local dishes that taste great and are typical all over the country.
We had a wonderful stay. This is our 18TH hotel in Punta Cana. We will definitely return to this Paradisus location. We loved the check in process. Noemi helped us. She was very informative. The resturant options were also amazing. We had amazing service by Daniel in the Karnica Steak House and Basilio in Mangu and the Steak House. The rooms are spectacular and spacious.
Overall, a pleasant stay at a beautiful property! The buffet food was OK but could be improved. The waterpark was a blast and the staff working there were super friendly specially Armando who works at the water park restaurant. Three issues to share: 1) At the check-in desk, the staff did not provide the coupon we were supposed to receive when we booked through Expedia. We had to ask for it the next day. 2) During check-in, the staff tried to sell us a room upgrade, which we declined. Then, they offered a complimentary upgrade, which we initially thought would be an improvement. However, they changed our room from two double beds to one king bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, and even with an extra mattress, it was still not comfortable. In our opinion, this was a downgrade. 3) During check-in, the staff also failed to inform us about a complimentary massage offered to guests who participate in the 15-minute orientation. We paid $130 for a one-hour massage, and only on our last day did they tell us about the free session. They did not reimburse us for the massage we paid for.
Had a great time.
Nice hotel people are nice eveybody is very help full guest service guy the best would be back very soon the only problem there is with the people that sell time share they want to obligate you to buy or get upset
Excellent
Excellent option for good rest!
Grand kids lived the water park. Restaurant food choice and quality was ok
Very nice and quiet. Good for relaxing

They did not give me the type of room that I requested and kept changing us in different rooms every day. We changed three times but the last room was the worst as it smelled sewer system. By the time we got back from dinner it was flooded with water coming from adjacent to the shower. Workers in the middle of the night and it messed up our vacation and we left the hotel two days before. Spoke w Expedia who recommended that we leave. They promise to reimburse, but never followed up w their promise. This was a nightmare vacay!
