Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, excellent accommodation.

Comfortable & convenient, but needs some updates

Fairmont is obviously a great place to stay. Food and service were great. We upgraded to a junior suite with a view of the planes landing. The rooms could use an update, particularly the carpets. At the same time, everything is super convenient (automated curtains and you can control all the lights from bed). I wanted to use the gym for the treadmills, but 2 out of 4 were broken and the 2 functional ones were being used. I just waited a bit and they became available. But then the one I used had a significant tear in the tread, which made it difficult when the timing matched my cadence a few times. Being the Fairmont, I expect better quality, but it was an overall great experience.

The 3 hostesses at the restaurant who served us on different days were very slow and their attitude was very different from the rest of the hotel staff, who are fast and very helpful. The worst one was on December 27th at approximately 5:00 p.m. She showed little empathy, there was a line of approximately 6 groups of guests, all very upset.

Beautiful hotel, amazing food and the room was gorgeous!

Very comfortable bed

Person at the front desk up sold me on premium on the 14th floor. Found the dinner appys to be average, dessert was candy and breakfast was terrible. Was not worth the extra money. He told me that breakfast alone would be $50 per person to eat at the hotel but then when I looked at the room service menu there were lots of options for much less. Very disappointing

Only was annoyed we had three bath towels in room when they knew there was 4 guest

The YVR Fairmont is always an excellent experience. The hotel staff are professional, courteous and alway helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Keep up the excellent service and see you again soon.

Very convient hotel with easy access to the the airport.

Conveniently located inside airport with short walk to checkin counters. For early flights a perfect but pricey solution for out of town travellers who would have to fight morning rush hour.

I just wanted to say that during our check in Reina welcomed us in Japanese and it made us so welcomed. We were exhausted but she was so nice to us. Thank you so much. This is just our misunderstanding but this hotel is inside the airport but you still need to go through Canadian customs. The hotel was so nice that we would love to stay there again.

We were so delayed we missed our rental car-the Fairmont was so convenient and beautiful. We got a great nights sleep and that shampoo and conditioner was amazing!

Amazing friendly staff and fabulous restaurant and food

My hotel room was situtated on the 6th floor. Renovations were being done on the 5th floor. A notice was given that renovations my disrupt with noise from 9 am - 5 pm. Renovations and noise began @ 7 am. No sleep whatsoever. Staff at front desk did not care one bit.

Slept for approx. 3 hours last night.Listened to planes taking off all night.No hot water last night and this morning for a shower.Mentioned this when I checked out to the front desk person.No apologies-my problem because I did not report it! Great way to start a trip!!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was over the top.

Very convenient for those really early morning flights

We arrived late from after flying many hours from Buenos Aires. I cannot say we had a good or restful stay and our experience was VERY weird. But as far as I know it was not really Fairmont’s fault. That’s because we were awoken and removed from our room to the lobby in our PJs at 7am by an RCMP SWAT team raiding the room next to us. So not very relaxing. But after about 30m of us feeling in shock and kinda ignored, someone eventually brought us bathrobes and offered us breakfast. After a couple hours we were let back into our room. So not the greatest experience, but hey, Welcome to Vancouver!

As you would expect from a Fairmont property. It was perfect for a one-night stay without ever leaving the airport. Rooms are large and bathrooms are very well appointed. I don't know that it is worth 400$ a night, but it was nice to try it once.

Had an amazing experience. Our check in was very smooth, and the lady was beyond amazing. We had early check in which I was unaware of, and it literally made our day. The room was nice and clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was also very nice and welcoming to our son which went above and beyond.

It's great for me to fly into Vancouver, rent a car for attending meetings, return to the Fairmont at the airport for a workout, dinner and a rest before flying out again. Very convenient.

Convenient to have the hotel within the airport. A little confusing to find but really loved it. They were very friendly and accommodating. I stayed there for the Eras Tour weekend and they even gave me a friendship bracelet!

Loved the convenience of being at the airport. Price was a bit overinflated due to the Taylor Swift concert but happy with the overall stay other than the cost

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was extremely convenient for the hotel to be attached to the airport for catching our morning flight, and taking the train into downtown Vancouver from the airport was also extremely easy.

The Fairmont at the airport is a great convenience for an evening arrival and early morning departure. It is very clean and comfortable. I liked that I could walk about the airport to loosen up the legs after a flight and feel completely safe.

Great location - whistler shuttle dropped off next to the front entrance. 6am room service (scheduled the night before) was there exactly on time. Quiet room.

Very nice room, extremely clean and comfortable. The convenience is great with it being in the airport terminal. However, I was very annoyed that I could not keep my luggage on my airport trolley when you keep them in the lobby at all times anyways. I have a bad shoulder and being forced to take my luggage off and on was extremely frustrating. Yes I could have used the bellman but as a woman travelling alone I was not comfortable with this. Every other in terminal hotel I have stayed at has never had an issue with my using the trolley. I had pre-planned to have room service during my stay and this was another reason I chose The Fairmont. I found it absolutely outrageous to be charged a delivery fee. I understand the built in tip but a five star hotel should not be charging this fee. I chose The Fairmont as I wanted quality on all levels and believed that I was paying for it already. Being met with extra service fees for something that should already be included as a hotel standard was beyond disappointing

It was rare. We were there! Fabulous 24 hour stay!

I was taken back by the price when I booked, but it was fabulous. My daughter and I loved the hotel. We were in VC for 24 hours to see Taylor Swift and the quality and convenience was perfect! We had friends join us for lunch and they loved it - they live in VC and will spread the word. I’m a frequent traveler and I will be back!!!

Absolutely the easiest trip I’ve gone on. We came in from Chilliwack and stayed the night before the flight to Maui. From check in until the time we left in the morning was so effortless. Stopped in for a drink and appetizers in the lounge , service and food was exceptional. Will definitely stay again.
