Good place to stay in Beijing. Very friendly staff.
Very few shops around the property
Everything is as expected from a five star hotel!
Over all good
Nice hotel with great value
Great location with easy access to the city center. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Big room with comfortable beds and great view. Hotel lobby and hall way are in excellent condition.
Stay was pleasent and comfortable.
Beautiful, clean, comfy, great service, bad food.
Very clean. Huge rooms and really nicely decorated and spaced. Bed is super nice. The bathrooms need a bit of work. My shower and bidet was not working properly. The real minus is the food - really bad.
Great experience
Our shower was a little moldy and our toilet barely flushed. Some unfinished work and exposed concrete. Thought the fairmont would be a little better.
I generally liked the experience. The hotel is beautiful and well connected. The service is at high level and the staff is kind and available to help. The only negative note is the lack of English understanding by most of the staff.
My wire and I recently stayed at the Fairmont Beijing Hotel for 4 days. The hotel is beautifully designed, and the hotel staff were able attentive. Our room is spacious and elegantly furnished (it even comes with a massage chair). Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
Horrible checkin experience...the satff was not bothered. The room is very dingy and very old . The lobby is not fit for a five hotel. Very dead lobby.
The room we stayed in was a bit dusty and smelled of smoke.
Very goof
The hotel is very convenient for a one-night stay and relatively close to Beijing international airport. The entrance foyer is attractive and the room and bath were well designed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and breakfast was above average. However, the place seemed run down and poorly maintained: older carpeting, bedside light didn't work, no body lotion, very slow hot water. Also, slightly more English competence would be helpful for international guests.
I love this hotel, this is second we stayed there when I visited Beijing. I will still choose it when I go next time. It is in good location, stuff are nice, room it is awesome, I loved it!
Very convenient and friendly staff members. Good experience!
Erm. This was unlike any other Fairmonts I've stayed at elsewhere around the world. The hard product is solid. The rooms are large and well-equipped. The gym is excellent and I even checked out the pool. Large bathroom was great. The soft product was sort of how I imagined hotels in North Korea are like. Stern, cold, minimal. Each staff member we saw felt like they were there more to monitor us and our movements than to provide welcoming, warm service. No smiles. One-word check-in. Frigid. Beijing hotels are subject to an absurd regulation that the aircon temperature can't be set lower than 26 degrees in summer - so every where here is hot - rooms, gym, etc. Not great. We weren't asked for a card/deposit when we checked in so had to pay on demand for room service. Not exactly Fairmont standard. Minimal toiletries in the bathroom and nothing for the bath itself, which was a shame as it was a great bathroom. Gym/spa staff were good - after barking at you for your room number each time you enter. Using the nice pool was a bit weird. I was the only person in the pool one day and the attendant stood staring at me the whole time. Big brother was real. Location was good. Easy to get Didi taxis/cars whenever you need them. I don't know if the central Fairmont brand has ever had any hands-on involvement in this property, but it didn't feel that way. I recommend they do so soon, or they may as well take their name off it completely.
Very good location, service and comfort
Average experience. The room was fine but I was a bit disappointed at the service, which I would have expected to be better for a property of this type.
Spacious luxury
The stay at Fairmont Beijing exceeded our expectations. The room was really big (over 40 sqm) with a super king size bed, massive windows, a sofa bed, armchair, coffee table, a great massage chair, a working table and 2 extra chairs. We had a coffee machine and a kettle with plenty of Voss water, abundantly replenished daily. The bathroom was massive, with a bathtub, shower room with 3 settings and two sinks. The toilet seat had seat heating and cleaning functions. Plus there was a dressing room with plenty of storage and a safe. We absolutely loved the room and the service we received at Fairmont Beijing. Top notch!
Location
The staff and facilitators were extremely good.
They said that their room is non smoking but it smells someone smoke in the room abd saw a cifarette bud in the toilet.
Room cleaning arrangement needs to be improved further.
Great experience
It was an amazing experience, thank you to all the staff!
I loved my stay at Fairmont and the staff were helpful and extremely kind--especially front desk at check-in! I switched hotels day-of after a mix-up at the last one, and they were very understanding and thoughtful--they also upgraded me to a slightly better room! The service was quick, the room was clean, and everyone was very respectful. One of my best experiences ever--I ended up staying an extra night!
Staff are exceptional. Always wanting to help. Ping who works front lobby was invaluable. Fairmont is my go to place in Beijing. First rate hotel. I have never been disappointed here. Rather they keep surprising me with how helpful and reliable they are. Would recommend.
Front office night staff is rude and unprofessional. Security staff are also rude. Not one person will greet you in the morning while walking through the lobby. Could be one of the best hotels in Beijing if the staff are properly trained.
Very comfy
This hotel is very clean and updated. We had a very comfortable 4-day stay!
Excellent value, amenities could use some refurbishment but wonderful beds and great staff
Clean and comfortable
Quick one night stay! Arrived late, left early, but had a great impression
Rooms are spacious. Every room gets an Air cleaner. Had a nice massage chair in the room. Price/value ratio is very high.
Excellent hotel by the airport. Good 24 hour food options. Great service, easy check in, shuttle was great.
Excellent hotel.
My 3rd time staying at Fairmont Hotel Beijing. I love the room size and facilities, the hotel is one of the best in this price range in Beijing, especially considering the location. The bed pillows are very comfortable and rooms are quiet. Excellent for a good night's sleep! Concierge was very helpful when booking a car to the airport and handling my luggage.
Was nice
The hotel was nice. Not the usual 5star but ok. Air con was noisy, staff at reception speak basic English but can improve. Less time on phones with more attention would be great. Concierge, Apple speaks very good English and eager to assist. Ruby at reception a trainee also was great and Daisy very professional. The room was comfortable and luxurious. Was very cold on arrival and our last night I had to call maintenance for switching off the under floor heating in the bathroom that we were totally unaware of. Pity we didn’t know about the floor heating.
Convinient to be nearby financial Hub
Amazing stay
Fairmont Beijing
This was by far the best experience I’ve had at a hotel in all of Asia. The level of service the team here provides is by far something on a different level. I had the pleasure of staying on the Fairmont Gold level and I will definitely be back. The added aspects with the lounge and service is unparalleled. Location close to shopping restaurants and public transportation. The team was always there to help me with arranging for me to get back to the airport. Nothing but good things to say about this place. Fabulous
Will be back.
I chose the hotel for the location and it's surrounding area is rather convenient, with food options and excellent convenience store right next to it. The hotel deserves the 5 star rating and the room is very well appointed, with an excellent bed. Service could be better from front office to other staff, they should be friendlier. Overall, nothing to complaint about.
Very good .very nice and we will come back. Excellent service
So nice. Beautiful place
5 minute walk to silk market and subway. Generous with bottled water!
This is my second times to stay here and I love the gym so much - equipments are very new and great service.
Room was clean and well arranged. English tv programs available. Excellent restaurant.
The property is overall nice. The VOSS water bottles had the seals broken and we ended up with food poisoning. The hotel staff seems to be refilling the water bottles with tap water; we had a discussion with the manager showed him the water bottles that room service had just put in the room with the seal broken and his reaction was to offer us a fruit basket. They also said they would not credit us Accor points because we booked through Expedia. They also said that they discontinued their partnership with Aeroplan which does not seem to be the case. Overall, the Fairmont globally is a nice hotel, this is nice but horribly managed.

Nice hotel room
Hotel rm is big n bedding is very comfortable.
Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpful.
We loved our stay at the Fairmont. The hotel definitely lived up to its reputation. The rooms and facilities were excellent. Great location and very helpful staff. Apple, Hans, and Eric from the concierge were very friendly, helpful, and spoke fluent English. They organised tours for us, organised transport, and gave us other tips to enjoy the local area and other parts of Beijing. Thank you!!
Everything was good especially the service from front office and hospitality from housekeeping.
This hotel was beautiful, convenient, clean, and the people were so helpful. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Beijing. Both Eric and Leesin were extremely helpful, kind, and generous. They made sure we had a taxi to the airport and any other time we needed one and even covered part of the cost when we didn’t have enough cash for the airport taxi. I cannot say enough good things about the hotel and those who helped us with our stay. Even after struggling to try and book our day at one of the temples, we thought it was sold out on other websites and the main website was only in Chinese and the concierge booked it for us in about 2 minutes. You will have an excellent stay here!
Internet is better than all other hotels, still need improvement
Everything seemed on the up and up upon check in. The room was nice. The food was not very good. The concierges were not very knowledgeable and lied to me about a couple things when they made mistakes. The room had no air conditioning. They turn it off for the winter. The first two nights I stayed I slept miserably at 80+ degrees. The last night they finally fessed up to having it turned off for the winter. Their solution was opening my window so I woke up with a terrible sore throat. When I talked to them about it at checkout. The girl denied the AC being turned off. Too bad the crew on the shift the night before fessed up to it. They told me I was the only one who complained so it must be my problem. Will never stay here again. I spend 6 months a year in China. There are many better options!
Hotel is in a good location but something has changed! It used to be top service, friendly, more luxurious, and now it has gone downhill. Rooms need updating - Looks a bit tired - and seems like the staff aren’t well trained. They were nice enough but didn’t go that extra step that Fairmont staff are known for at most locations. Fairmont was known once for top service and quality - big changes in this Fairmont Hotel in Beijing - too bad! I won’t be back! Much better hotels in Beijing for same price!
Extremely helpful and friendly concierge who went out of his way to ensure I get to the correct location and on time for my meeting.
Excellent hotel with weak wifi
The Beijing Fairmont is an excellent hotel with first class service and amenities except for a terrible and weak wifi which is unacceptable in a first class hotel, still I wouldn’t hesitate to choose it in our future visits to this grandiose city because of its excellent location, great all around service (specially by Nora in the basement Chinese style restaurant, just outstanding ), closeness to the silk street mall, excellent decor and amenities and comfort.
Great location, 2 restaurants, 1 excellent ($$$)
Great experience.
Check-in was super fast n swift! We got upgraded because hotel was full. Room big n super comfortable!
Top Class
Top class hotel with very attentive staff.
Needs improvement
Slow service by staff made the stay less enjoyable
Nice and comfortable in a reasonably good location
A great place to stay in Beijing!
This may well be the best, friendliest service I have ever had at any hotel. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and made me feel valued as a customer. I might also add that the breakfast buffet (included in the price of the room) is amazing!
Amazing hotel. Will go back again
Excellent hotel
This is a great hotel, with excellent rooms and service. The staff are most helpful. It has a really good indoor swimming pool and good gym. The rooms are large and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The immediate location is Ok, but not much around, however you can easily walk to a lot of places and the nearest metro stop is only a very short walk away. Wifi is fine, but China blocks Outlook/gmail, facebook and Instagram.
Great one night stay
The hotel is not a typical fairmont looking hotel however the standard is just as good. The room was very specious with a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Travel staff downstairs were very helpful. The only bad thing was that the room was a little stuffy and didn't have a fresh scent...
Awesome in every way
The staff was exceptional from start to finish. The Check-in was quick and efficient and my room was not ready so they gave me an upgrade to a suite only because I had to wait 20 minutes. Everyone knew my name even though I left early and came in late, so didn't really linger there but it was as if I had lived there for a month with how they all knew me. I did get access to the lounge floor - and the staff there was amazing too - and Happy hour runs all the way to 8:30pm, so no need to ever pay more for a dinner as it's lots of food and drink nightly. Way to go - I found my new home in Beijing
Pleasant room with good space, separate shower and a Toto Washout toilet.
It’s overrated
The room is small and dark. Lighting is not enough
Great stay for visitors to Beijing. Concierge went above and beyond to help with tours. Good location with easy proximity to the subway.
Good
Fairly good, the room was ok, service is great, dining is good.
Hands down the best hotel in Beijing
Due to full occupancy at the hotel, I was upgraded at check-in to the Moonlight Suite that was absolutely sublime. Having now experienced this suites features, I will consider booking this particular room based on my length of stay. This in addition to all the always-consistently great service I receive at this hotel. I got a handwritten note from the new lead for Fairmont Gold.
Good location and helpful staff
I was traveling alone and the staff really took good care of me.
BOB
Nice hotel. Helpful staff. Overpriced and inferior wine.
Great Hotel
Great hotel convenient to many areas of Beijing, close to Central Business District (walking distance), great staff, lovely lovely Gold member floor and benefits.
Good hotel with excellent service
The staff at the Fairmont couldn't have been more helpful, we really enjoyed our stay and would return if back in Beijing
Great room and service in a ideal location. Close to restaurants, shopping, and sites.
Very comfortable, needs more dining choices.
Not enough eating choices within the hotel.
very very good. good location. easy acess to subwy
very very good. good location. easy acess to subwy
Excellent
Large, elegant, clean and exceptional. I would recommend to everyone I know and stay here again.
Great hotel
Great staff - extremely attentive and polite. Will go back.
Centrally located and close to amenities
Wonderful hotel in the heart of Beijing CBD. Close to shopping, good eats and a well connected underground rail system that bring tourists to most sights in Beijing! Great service and very attentive staff. But the turnover of rooms was a little disappointing with varying service levels at different floors.
4.5 star quality hotel
Although I had booked this hotel 3 days before my check-in day, I was greeted by hotel staff who couldn't find my reservation. I had to wait like 20 minutes until they generated a new reservation on the system. I am not sure if it was Expedia's or Fairmont's fault causing this unpleasant check-in experience. However, my stay at this hotel was generally satisfying. The room was nice size and swimming pool was quite nice. The attendant at gym was very friendly. Even though he didn't speak much English, he showed me a way to a locker and explained how to use steam room and shower. I stayed at this hotel during the period when the city was suffering heaviest smog. I think my room was not air filtered since I could feel and smell the smog inside the room. One morning, I woke up because of my sore throat and cleaned my nose with kleenex, the kleenex was all black. I really recommend you to stay somewhere else if you are planning to visit Beijing when smog level is really bad. This hotel doesn't have air purifiers that you could ask to have in your room. Overall, it was well located, close to central business district, accessible to major tourist attractions along metro line, and a good value for the money I paid.
Beautiful hotel and lovely location. Chose an American brand hotel as we had been warned that most Beijingers don't speak English. However, English was poor, concierges didn't understand, directions were poor or wrong. I would have expected better. Spa was lovely, but again very poor English skills.
Great Hotel Experience
Simply awesome room with a view, centrally located. Very clean, accommodating staff.
Excellent hotel
Really enjoyed the stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is close to subway. There isn't a lot to do around the hotel as it is more in a businessman area. However subway gives great access to attractions and shopping
Great Hotel Choice in Beijing
My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Beijing. The rooms are elegant and comfortable. Good restaurants, nice lobby bar, and fabulous spa.
Good hotel but pricey in their add-ons
Overall a good hotel for business. Especially if you need to make day trips to Chinese suppliers located to the South & East of Beijing. 'Good' is not 'Great' in my opinion for 2 price-reasons: 1. paying for wifi access (98Rmb / USD 15 per day!) is stupid for a 5-star hotel. Very old fashioned thinking 2. Breakfast was not included in my deal and I was shocked to find out the price for breakfast buffet (RMB 275 = about USD 40 per day!).
great location
Friendly and extremely service oriented staff made our stay easy and enjoyable . The lounge staff answered all questions and took care of appetizers and wine starting at 5PM . The food was so good we skipped dinner a few nights . Special thanks to Leeann and Reto . We did miss concierge Apple who is special and obviously enjoys helping guests .
Highly Recommended
Great stay for 2 nights. The only item needing attention is the staffing level at the buffet breakfast. Although the staff were doing their best, there were too few staff to keep up with the coffee/tea requests, and no self-serve station. Lounge and Front Desk staff were excellent as well.
Nice hotel
This is a very good hotel, no opinion,Very comfortable, the room also is very good
Need to get their business center up and running, not suitable as a business hotel right now due to repairs.
I expected a lot more from this hotel. The wifi was awful and at times would not connect at all. The business center was closed, which was incredibly inconvenient, and the front desk staff finally offered to bring me upstairs to the lounge to use their printer. The internet on that computer was painfully slow and I finally got my documents ready and their printer did not work either. The staff meant well, but the front desk and restaurant staff had difficulty speaking English and it felt like I was overcoming one inconvenience after another. I did host a reception in their banquet room which was lovely and that staff was very quick and accommodating. Overall, I was underwhelmed by my experience.
Great
Great! Room is big and clean. Everyone is friendly and all of them spoke English.
Fantastic Hotel, Fantastic Staff!
My husband and I stayed at the Fairmont Beijing Hotel for two weeks over the Chinese New Year in February 2016. Everything about this hotel is fantastic (except for spotty internet service that is being corrected immediately according to the staff). The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was exceptionally good. The fitness facility is top notch. Finall, and equally important, the hotel staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Staying at the Fairmont Beijing was a pleasure.
Very convenient
The hotel is wonderful. The staff are super nice and friendly. The swimming pool is a great place to enjoy. The traffic around is easy and you will get to all the places quickly. 5minutes walk to the subway station. The outside view of the hotel is superb.
I enjoyed my stay there
The hotel is wonderful. The staff are super nice and friendly. The swimming pool is a great place to enjoy.
Value for your money
The hotel is located near a subway station, nice staff but not everybody speak English, it has smoke smell all over, very comfortable beds, w.c. is clean.
Nice room. Great location. Lobby is so so
Room is nice. Lobby is a bit small. You don't feel the luxury in the lobby.

The property is quite old but their staff are nice and helpful.
