I enjoyed the spacious restroom and sleeping area but it wasn’t clean. The shower curtain was very dirty. The mattress was way too soft and there was no refill of toilet paper. Small details make a huge difference and these details will discourage me from staying here again.

They forgot to make the rooms

We stayed here for 4 nights. After the first night, the room was not made and we asked at the lobby and they told us that the rooms are made every 2 days (nobody told us this before) after the second night ten room as not made again and the hotel wouldn’t care to give us any explanation nor help us in any way. We asked for the manager and the lady at the lobby was very rude. Wouldn’t stay in this hotel again.

Plenty of dinning options and downtown San Antonio is 15 to 20 minutes away.

The hotel in all was very clean. As soon as you walk into your room you smell a scent of freshness. I liked the idea of having two tv’s in the room one for the adults and one for the kids. The room was very spacious. The location was convenient. My only complaints were that the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the bathtub area showed signs of peeling and rust around the bathtub.

Paper thin walls

I stayed here due to the close proximity to the Methodist Transplant Hospital since my husband and I were going to have major surgery. I donated a kidney to my husband. I wanted something close by since I wouldn’t be able to drive afterwards. The beds were okay, before surgery and afterwards they were just hard on my body. The main issue I had was how thin the walls are. You can literally hear everything and I mean everything your neighbor is watching on tv or even their conversation among themselves in their rooms.

Overall it wasn’t a bad experience but there’s some things they can improve. When we arrived we had to wait around 10 mins to check in because there was no one at the front desk. The room was clean and it smelled good but they need to change the pillows, they were really uncomfortable. Breakfast was just ok…

AFTER 5 NO ONE ANWERS THE PHONE TRY OVER AN HOUR TO GET SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM THE AIRPORT.

I’ve been staying here everytime I go to SA and never had a problem. Breakfast is good, staff is very nice and polite, hotel is clean. Really do recommend this hotel

Very nice for a 2 star

It’s was an overnight stay. Great service, receptionist was very nice and has great customer service. She greeted us as we came and went. Will stay again if needed.

It’s a nice place if you are needing to be near the hospitals.

Booked a room 3 weeks in advance and when I came to check in I was informed my booking was auto cancelled due to overbooking. They did not have a number to contact me to try and get this resolved. I however, showed up to this hotel for this booking last weekend due to a miss labeling in my calendar. The staff explained they had my reservation for 12/29 and all was good. And I even got an email asking how my service was for today and yet once I checked in I’m told it was canceled

First room they gave us had defective locks. The doors don't actually lock when closed. The dead bolts got jammed when we try to lock it with the dead bolt and it locked us i side the room. Had to call the front desk and they were aware of the issue and told us to try to jiggle the dead bolt to release it. Took me 20 minutes to get the dead bolt released so we could leave the room. What happened if there was a fire or simply didn't know the dead bolt was jammed until the morning? Would have caused us to miss our interview. Second room they assigned the dead bolt didn't work either, but at least the door locks when closed. Horrible hotel. Would never recommend this to anyone.

Just Okay

I liked the location and general appearance of the hotel. I appreciated free parking and free wifi. The room was a nice size. The free breakfast was disappointing compared to other hotels I've stayed at. The beds were not very comfortable but okay if you like very firm beds.

Good visit on Thanksgiving week

Overall a very positive experience. Staff were friendly. Several food options were within walking distance, and they offered free breakfast here. Hotel itself is a little bit older and showing its age in a few spots. Things were very quiet in terms of noise so was very happy about that. Only thing that bugged me a little was that my shower curtain seemed a little short for the tub. I just tilted the showerhead towards the wall to minimize water spillage on the floor so not a huge deal in grand scheme of my visit. Given my past job though, all I could think was that's just asking for water damage long term. Good news was I had a friend staying in another room and their curtain was fine.

For a short trip hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was also good. Good location!

It was centrally located to where I needed to be. Stayed 7 days. The staff was friendly, property was clean. Decent breakfast (just lacking fruit) every morning.

The Fairfield is close to a number of medical facilities making it a great choice to stay at. Check in was done extremely fast and desk clerk wore a smile which is contagious. Friendly and fast!

it was a great experience, only problem was the carpet was a bit dirty.

We booked a week for an employee, but needed to cut the stay short one night due to a conflict. Called to speak to the front desk and the member of staff i spoke to could not have been more rude. She would not stop repeating the same phrase "i cannot make this decision, i have to speak to the manager" and when I asked her "why won't you let me speak? I just want to explain our situation so you can let the manager know" she hung up on me and would not answer the phone when I called back. Thankfully the issue was resolved and that is why I am not giving it a one star review, but we will definitely not be staying here again unfortunately.

Great hotel in a great area would love to stay here again!

Nice and clean. The lobby was beautiful, great staff, very courteous and professional. Room were overall clean. Looks clean. The only compliant I have is the wall and door is thin. I can hear people’s voice. The bed itself was too soft for me but that’s people’s preference so not gonna say it was bad. Bathroom were clean, maybe the shower’s sliding door need to be fixed since the water leaks out. The breakfast was alright. Its free so can’t complain about. But overall, nice and good hotel.

The hotel was well-kept, clean, and well-lit. The staff was welcoming and kind.

I booked through a third-party website so when we arrived for our check-in we were expecting a King size bed but instead Expedia "overbooks rooms" and thus we had to end up with 2 queen beds. Overrall the hotel was swell but the one thing i had a very difficult time with is the bathtub. It has stains in the tub/shower. It looked like it has not been bleached nor received a deep clean. I felt the need to shower with my sandals on. Everything else was somewhat well kept. The hotel definitely could use more renovating but it was not bad at all.

Property very clean, room very clean, comfortable and spacious. The location is also good, with lots of restaurants near by, freeway and HEB close by as well. Overall is good. I would recommend it and I would stay there again.

Never again

Was there for only one night and 3 vehicles got broken into. Went to have breakfast at 8 and by 8:45 they weren’t going to cook any more food since it was done. Do not recommend at all.

Bathroom wasn't that clean, there was no soap or conditioner. Breakfast items ran out fast. Staff was friendly.

The rooms were nice and orderly. The shower was topped off with soaps that was not just bar soap. The room had a tap to enter key card and a wall thermostat.

It was a quick trip but really comfortable place to stay

Checking in was great and it was clean, breakfast was good But as we went out to get our luggage there were homeless people sleeping outside at back door and later at night we were woken up to homeless people in dumpster.

Good hotel

The room was clean and the surroundings were quiet at night. Breakfast was also good. There are many hills around the hotel, so it may be tough without a car.

Nice friendly staff

The only thing I had an issue was that the hot water in the shower took long for it to get hot.

Checked in after 7:00pm and immediately our toilet was clogged, entire water bowl was filled with water. We had just checked in a didn't use restroom. Due to it being after hours maintenance was gone for the night. We were on the 4th floor and had to walk down and use lobby restrooms. I believe our bathroom was spot cleaned in the shower it had a used soap bar with soap residue on the walls. And on the other wall shampoo or body wash dried on the wall. At the botto. Of the sink where bath towels were 1 was unfolded so unsure if it was used and put back or dropped and just not folded back up.

Arrived at 3 time of check in, room was not ready was asked to wait another 30mins or get another room with double beds, accepted the room that was ready and it was dirty, dust all over everything, had to go buy disinfectant wipes to wipe everything down. Staff was nice but can do better with cleaning

Took my dad for his doctors appointment which was located very near to hotel. Room was excellent, accessible for my dad due to his having bad knees and overall clean. Stafff was friendly at check in and out. Enjoyed personalized touch when I turned on tv and saw my name welcoming us. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel in medical area.

The hotel had fairly new finishes. The AC was good. The mini-fridge froze my water and sodas. Overall a good experience.

We checked in and the room that they gave is the sheets on one of the bed had blood stains, I requested to change room and they gave us another room with NO hot water.

Husband was getting a pancreas surgery

Very clean room with enough space to move around comfortably. Hotel is nestled among several apartment complexes and the area is very quiet. Several fast-food places are right down the street. Missed having lotion provided. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner and a small bar of soap were there though. Not the most comfortable bed - it was very hard. Breakfast is the area that needs the most help. Not a lot of selections and both fruit & oatmeal were gone 35 minutes before breakfast ended. Powdered eggs weren't good and the texture of the sausage was very processed.

When I check in they didn’t notify that the whole hotel was out of hot water the water was so cold I have sore throat after the cold shower that I take while was in the hotel

Everything was ok. Shower water went hot to cold while showering. Didn’t like stair access in the back parking. Not enough handicap.

It was so comfortable the beds.

We stayed in room 319 it was nicely cleaned and equipped. The only thing was the restroom didn’t have a air vent that you can turn on when showering. Other than that it was an awesome stay.
