Conveniently close to River Walk

The location of hotel was in walking distance to the river walk. The receptionist who greeted us at check in was very friendly and welcoming. The receptionist at checkout bother other hand was not. She didn’t say hello.

Two Day Stay

The hotel lobby area smelled like smoke the duration of our trip. The breakfast catered to a Hispanic taste. The front desk personnel were courteous. Would rate the room 2.5. Needs to be updated.

This hotel os awesome, the location is very convenient

Really cute place. I stayed 2 nights and it was good. The room was nice with good amenities on the 1st floor near to the street exist. Breakfast was nice, clean lobby and dining area. The gym was good, a bit claustrophobic but did the work. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They charge $37 parking a day and I wasn't comfortable with that so I parked in the street. The good thing is that there are pay to park spots in the street so if you are lucky to find parking it's free from 6:00 PM to 8:00 am the next day. It's only a $1.50 parking during the day.

1st valet cost was 39 which they subtract from 50 deposit which isnt bad. Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean and good. Only problem was i reserved 2 king suites and received 2 basic rooms they stated expedia over booked their suites and could only give me a room with 2 queens. Kinda disappointing on expedia part

Some things were not working properly when we first checked in, however the staff tried their best to resolve our concerns.

Location of the Fairfield Inn vs. Springfield Inn (both Marriott properties) is tricky, especially in relation to parking in an adjacent lot. As a result, I entered the Springfield Inn, thinking I was checking in there until they directed me down the hall to the Lobby of the Fairfield Inn. Staff was outstanding, friendly, etc. Accommodations were what you'd expect from a Marriott property. Breakfast - honestly, I LOVED the eggs and chorizo (never had that before). Not the healthiest choice, but when in Rome...

Requested a King and got 2 full beds. Was told at check in happy hour was from 5-7pm but the bartender told us there wasn't happy hour on Saturdays.

I wish I can remember front desk ladie, she was awesome and helpful. Room was big clean and matress super comfortable. River walk and alamo at walking distance.

We like this hotel because it’s a short walk to river walk at half the price. It’s clean and the staff is very friendly.

Everything about the hotel is fine, but they charged me twice. I had already paid with my credit card, and when my husband came to stay with my two children, they charged him again. He had to pay again and they also charged us for where to park the car.

Not good, arrived to hotel with not ready. Had to wait extra hour. Then room was not correct. It was a handicap room. Just weird. Rooms did not match the online images. They gave us rooms for handicap customers. Did not feel comfortable. Then they charged my credit card 5 times which gorta deal with on monday or tuesday. Online it stated price 100.00 less and desk could not figyre it out. Tried going thru Hotels.com site and it was down. Just mot a great experience for a anniveersary.

We called and let the property know that we would be arriving later than expected, due to traffic. They were very understanding and helpful. All the staff were super friendly and the room was clean and comfy

We really enjoyed this property, the location is great it is a 2 minute walk to the river walk and near by attractions, the breakfast was very good and had a great variety of options. Staff were also very friendly. The only cons would be that it is across the street from a bar and the music is pretty loud at night and parking is not included and can only do valet with an extra cost. Other than that, good option for the price.

Like: clean property, safety, walk able, some good employees but dishonest front desk girl... Dislike: 1/ dishonest girl front desk, unauthorized charge to my credit card, when asking for receipt she hesitate to give out. At first she said there is a $4.11 return back to my credit card then I asking for receipt then she said $21.11 will return back to my card but still no give out the receipt. She has inconsistent response. This girl should be disciplines for dishonest behavior for an unauthorized charge to my card.

The club across the street was busy & loud at all hours of the night

The pool cleanliness left much to be desired. The room service signage indicates every other day however, I was woken up every single day of stay. The parking situation is too expensive with valet parking at $35.00 per stay so an Uber most recommended. Too much noise from vehicles off the Bonham street access and a very loud club adjacent to this property on the corner. The breakfast staff and quality of food was exceptional. Really 5 star rating to the kitchen and front end facility staff. Well done

It is a great place to stay. Walking distance from the Alamo and the mall. Only takeaway is paying for parking but that’s ok. I requested more towels and it was brought to me. Love this place. Pool was a little cold.

Everything within walking distance

On our 6,700 mile road trip this was by far our worst experience. Upon driving into the hotel there were homeless people all over the place which made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable. We had to drive around the block 5 times to figure out how to get into our hotel because the entrance is on the street it was filled with vehicles and there is no where to park on the street to check in and then there is still no where to park unless you pay their parking fee or choose a public lot with all vagrants running around, no thanks. Upon review of my dash cam that records the activities everytime my car is moved or touched, it appears my car stayed in the front lobby the entire night until the morning when it got moved so I paid to park but it never got into their parking lot until 8am. Either their lot was full or people didn’t want to work. The room was okay, it was a place to sleep. The room did not blow us away with the wow factor that would make us want to come back to this city or this hotel. The front desk attendant though was super friendly and helpful and he did his job efficiently and effectively. The guests that were there that evening at a night club left a lot to be desired for my child who was with us and it was just terrible stay in general. It is convenient to the Alamo which is why we stayed. However that was the only advantage.

Breakfast the best, staff amazing and I felt safe.

Great hotel close to downtown.

Front desk people were very nice especially the young man that worked night shift. Valet guys were prompt and friendly. Breakfast had good assortment of items. Beds were very comfortable. Wish we could park our own cars instead of valet every time.

The rooms were NOT cleaned daily. They gave us clean towels when we asked for them & left them on the dresser but did not take away the dirty towels. I don't care if the bed is changed daily but, a clean bathroom & clean towels are a must.

Clean and in a good area! Only aspect to note is that valet parking is the only parking option which was not ideal.

Great Hotel for the Cost

Hotel was within walking distance to the convention center, even in the summer. Clean room, safe area and delicious complimentary breakfast.

Great staff. Nice and close to everything. The bartender was incredible! We got engaged this trip so it was a wonderful stay! Would highly recommend! And the breaky is great! Pool side drinks! Clean rooms . Couldn’t ask for a better place

Great location for an easy stroll to the Riverwalk...quieter than staying on the Riverwalk...accomodated my request through Expedia for a tip floor room. Would stay again.

Not that bad of a stay

It was pretty good overall only thing was I had little black ants in the room. And the sheets weren’t as clean as I prefer them to be but that was an easy fix because they replaced the linen. Bed was extremely comfortable though once those issues were taken care of

Great price and just a couple of blocks from the riverwalk and Alamo. Only issue is there is no parking lot. They do have Valet service though.

Comfortable and Convenient

This was the perfect stay the staff were so polite and helpful when asked a question. The rooms and areas were clean including the breakfast area. If your looking for somewhere comfortable and quiet to stay as well as convenient location this is the perfect spot.

Hotel is outdated, not clean, pool is extra small compared to the pictures shown in Expedia, staff is not friendly or helpful especially the valet service manager. He misplaced my car keys and I waited for almost 30min then asked what was the problem, that’s when he decided to tell me they couldn’t find my keys. He was rude and I explained that they were probably inside the car because the car doesn’t lock if they didn’t have the keys. The keys were inside the car. We were almost late to our event because he didn’t want to tell me he couldn’t find them. The front desk staff is always gone and not helpful either. The only good thing about the hotel is the location but I prefer paying more than staying here again.
