This property does not exist, it is a duplicate of Exuma Palm Resort and when we arrived there they did not have our rooms. Expedia relocated us in a very ugly and far away property and after two nights we decided to check out a booked in another hotel since Expedia would not help us. Very disappointing.
The owners and staff were extremely helpful and really made the trip excellent. They went above and beyond to help with transportation and dinner for us as there is not much in the area. I highly recommend renting a car if you are going to stay here.
Awesome Ocean views. Staff willing to go the extra mile (we asked for coconut water and they literally grabbed the coconut from the tree). Conveniently located 5-10 mins from the airport.
Amazing views, great service, and good food.
Clean, unique, super friendly
Bad Experience Exuma
Hotel needs updating very bad. We made reservations online and had confirmation number but when we arrived we were told they had no room for us. He said he had not confirmed the reservation number. After haggling back and forth he agreed to clean a bed for us in a double room. We were desperate due to flight cancellation.
The property description was not truthful. This place was rough. Newly renovated included a coat of paint and some cosmetic improvements that brought it up to a livable condition. Balcony’s and doors were beat up. One of our rooms had buggers smeared on the walls. If there would have been another place available on the island the week we were there we would have eaten the cost and left. They charge you a $30 dollar per day resort fee, but I’m not really sure what that cost covers because there’s nothing there besides a great beach (which by the way surrounds half of the island). Kind of killed the last 3 days of an otherwise delightful vacation. The best part was that it forced us to be out on the island for the entire day exploring and we did a bunch of great stuff. Some people are good staying at a place like this, but at least be honest in the property description so you at least know what you are paying for.
Such an amazing spot - best beach spot
Loved the patio and the beach it was beautiful! But it could’ve been a lil cleaner the sliding glass doors on balcony was so dirty you couldn’t hardly see out of I had to clean it but other than that it was clean. And very friendly!
Dwight, the owner, was around make sure everyone was happy. He was kind and very accommodating! The staff was a big reason we had such a wonderful time! They are beautiful people and my whole family was so happy to meet them and get to know them better. Paulette was friendly and greeted us every morning. We brought in our fish and she make sure it was cooked as we requested. She always had a smile. Cordero was our buddy helped get coconuts and got us singing New Year’s Eve. Jasmine make fantastic drinks and also was helpful and also worked with a smile. Duanique was friendly and helpful and she and the head of house cleaning worked so hard to keep our room clean and made sure we had towels every day! Fabulous view, amazing beach, beautiful water - definitely a touch of Heaven.
Need major renovations. No amenities. No security
Amazon staff Great service Good location Broken internet - on & off
If you are on a budget, this is a good place to rest at night while you are out sightseeing. This is not a luxury resort, nor is this a bed and breakfast. The hotel is nestled directly on the beach and the views are spectacular. The hotel staff are friendly and always have a smile to share.
Pretty ocean, dodgy hotel
The hotel is located away from restaurants and other attractions so you need taxi or a car. The location is quite nice in that the ocean is pretty and the beach great with ocean views that are stunning. However, the hotel is poorly maintained, needs improvement both inside and out. The restaurant is your main choice for food which is marginal and dark and also serves as a bar. Best not to do it.
The staff went out of there way to make us feel welcome. The cooked a vegan meal for me and tended to our every need
Disappointing Stay
The hotel is very isolated. We checked in at 1:30pm and had no water until 5:00pm. Manager did offer to buy us dinner. We opted for breakfast instead which was quite lovely. There is a restaurant but it has a very limited menu. In fact we did not see a menu at all. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee. We requested some and they did not have any to give us. No staff in restaurant until 8:00 am, so could not get any coffee until then. Views were stunning though.
When we arrived at the property, we were a little taken aback by how poorly the exterior looked. It appeared run down, in need of paint at the very least and just....sad. When we entered the lobby area, it looked like there could be some room for hope, as it is evident that they have done some recent upgrades, which was really nice to see. We greeted the woman at the front desk letting her know we were there to check in. We also realized we were a little early, so if the room wasn't ready we totally understood. She asks us to wait a few minutes, so we take that time to look around the restaurant/bar and the beach. The restaurant/bar area was also recently upgraded, and looked like it was coming along. The beach....well, I am not sure where the photos for the profile pics were taken, but the beach did not look like that at all. The beach was small...I mean, like could only put about 4 chairs out there and then there was a drop off to the ocean. The stairs leading down to the shore were broken, so you couldn't get down there. Feeling a little discouraged, we walked back into the lobby where we were intercepted by the same woman from the front desk who proceeded to inform us that they didn't have our room available. Assuming she meant that it wasn't ready yet since we were a bit early, I asked for that clarification. She responded with a 'No, we just don't have any king rooms available, at all". Ummm...what? We ended up leaving the property and staying elsewhere
Unhappy
I would not recommend this place sucks.
I wont be back- but I loved Exuma- lets start with the Pros: Room-very nice comfy beds and linens. bathroom ok. Great view. Air conditioner in the room, Beach is absolutely stunning and very private...hardly see anyone else on the beach. Beautiful sand and water steps away from hotel. Cons: -SAND FLIES !! please take repellent!!! the food-Club YOLO Grill and Hookah Bar (the worst) food overpriced- no menu- everything fried- and spicy, not matter what you order, they will bring the food they want.- again everything fried with the same oil. Had breakfast twice, and you have to wait forever to order, and you are lucky if the cook/chef shows up- . Outdoor space/seating was in poor conditions. WiFi in the lobby only,,,very bad. You need a rental car to do most things. Bathroom shower pressure is very weak.
Our trip was planned for the Christmas Holidays 2024/25 for a group of 10 and our reservation included accommodations at Exuma Palms Resort & Exuma Palm for four rooms. We booked in September. Upon arrival, we were informed that only two of the four rooms were available due to an issue caused by Expedia. The property had rebranded from "Exuma Palms" to "Exuma Palms Resort," and despite several requests from the hotel to update the listing, Expedia had not corrected this on its platform. We were told this issue had affected other customers as well. As a result, the hotel was unable to accommodate our entire group. Despite our numerous attempts to resolve the matter through Expedia support, the experience was frustrating and unhelpful. Eventually, Expedia relocated two rooms to Exuma Point Beach Resort. However, this property was far below the standard we originally booked: it was a two-star hotel compared to the three-star Exuma Palms Resort, with smaller rooms, fewer beds, and significantly lower pricing. Additionally, the hotel was located over 30 minutes away, requiring us to rent a car, which added further inconvenience and costs. Unable to enjoy our vacation as planned, we booked alternate accommodations that could house our group together, at our own cost. Unable to enjoy our vacation as planned, we booked alternate accommodations that could house our group together. The only available option was on Nassau, a different island, and significantly more expensive.
