Fabulous location in a quiet district of Budapest. The old Palace exterior houses a modern hotel in a pretty square. Our room was modern style with large comfortable bed and great large bathroom with good shower. The hotel was very clean and the staff very welcoming, friendly and super helpful with tourist queries. The location is just south of the jewish quarter with buses and trams within a few minutes walk to the attractions of Budapest. Fabulous value great stay all round. Thank you.

Great location, in a quiet square and very central

Situated in a good location, quiet, safe, very near to all transport hubs, trams, busses, metro and one of the three airport bus stops. Front of house staff are really friendly, smart, efficient and helpful, in my opinion, the hotels main assets. Enjoyed our stay and have rebooked to go again.

Our reservation could not be found in their system on arrival. Took over an hour to get checked in at 22:00. Room key assigner not working, had to be taken up to the room each time. Both of these things are understandable being a mistake in their booking system and an equipment malfunction, but the lack of professionalism in dealing with them was not great. Even though the staff on shift were very friendly they seemed thoroughly unsupported and did not really know how to rectify the issues. Not a great start. Room was decent, very clean, bed comfy. Breakfast nothing special but again fine for being included. Overall was expecting better after seeing their previous ratings. Would not stay again.

They didn’t clean the night table, there were coffee stains.

Lovely stay .hotel very central and clean . I disliked that the bathroom door didn’t have a function to close it .it was glass and just proved a glass barrier with a gap at the side . Duvets were quite small . Staff were very helpful . You could enjoy a very peaceful stay at this hotel.

Breakfast included cold and hot options. Cooked breakfast was not great as the hotel does not prioritise it. As soon as 4-6 residents help themselves to the cooked option it is all gone and it is not immediately replaced. If you are travelling from the UK you may not have a BBC news channel to watch. All channels appear to be tuned in for German and Italian tourists. They have 2 Apple MAC computers for tourists to use and not Windows 11 in case you have a preference for the latter. Reception staff are friendly and helpful.

Very clean and warm hotel

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. The room was a good size as was the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet with no external noise. Only thing missing was a staffed bar area. There is a lounge area where free tea and coffee are served and you can buy cans of beer but i feel even though there are bars close by, you dont slways want to leave the hotel so this would be a good addition.

Lovely staff , fast check in process , good room unfortunately without view but in general the hotel is good , only 10 minutes of walking to find the Tram or Metro .

A great stay at Eurostars. Exceptional reception with friendly staff who welcomed us very warmly. The room itself was very clean and had all the amenities required for a top class hotel. The rooms were cleaned daily and to a high standard. We made use of the sauna room too which was a nice addition. Would highly recommend.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Tea/coffee complimentary in reception which was very welcome. Coffee machine in deluxe room. No bar or restaurant but you could purchase tins of beer, coke etc. Room was clean. Bed comfy. Well located to visit attractions in Budapest. Breakfast was ok. Not a brilliant hot selection, but sufficient. Overall a great stay - thank you

The property had a very good appearance and staff were helpful and friendly. It's located in a very nice area of Budapest with ample eating and drinking venues close at hand. I particularly enjoyed going out in the evenings, lots of busy cafes and bars.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the local area is lovely and you can walk to all the main sites. The only let down was the breakfast, especially if you get there from 9.30am onwards. We would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Eurostars Palazzo Zichy, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From start to finish, everything about this hotel was impeccable. The location is fantastic, situated in a quiet yet central part of the city, making it easy to explore Budapest’s main attractions. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with modern yet cosy interiors. The comfort of the rooms is outstanding and the thoughtful addition of a coffee machine for a perfect start to the day. The bathrooms are equally impressive, equipped with all the amenities you might need. Breakfast was a highlight of my stay – the selection was excellent, catering to all tastes with a variety of fresh and delicious options. The dining area was comfortable, and the staff ensured everything was well-stocked. Speaking of the staff, they were incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready with a smile and eager to assist with any requests or questions. The little touches, such as complimentary water and coffee available throughout the day in the lobby, added to the welcoming atmosphere. A particularly lovely surprise during my stay was the Christmas touch – the hotel gifted guests a little Panettone, which was such a thoughtful and festive gesture. Overall, Eurostars Palazzo Zichy is a gem of a hotel. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Budapest – it combines modern comfort, excellent service, and a warm stay with convenient location.

This was formerly a palatial grand house which has been converted into a hotel. Some original features remain but overall the interior of the building is bland. The room we had was on the corner of the Mezzanine floor overlooking the square and the Church. The room was quite dark, the lighting was really inadequate and dim. There were issues with the shower dripping all night and the extractor fan never turning off, so being a light sleeper these things were not welcome. I asked for the shower to be fixed twice but it never was. The coffee machine leaked water all over the place but that wasn't fixed either. The breakfast was OK, the usual hotel stuff. The staff were friendly enough. The hotel location is about 20 minutes walk from the very centre or you can get a bus or tram. Andrassy Street is 15 minutes walk. There are restaurants and cafes nearby. The positives are that it's a very quiet and safe location. If you want to be close to the central area around Paliament, the art galleries and Buda castle this may not be the place for you but if you don't mind walking it's a good choice.

Loved our stay at this hotel

Room was okay. The soap dispenser by the bathroom sink was empty when we arrived. Other than, no other issues with the room. Will recommend.

Good value for price

A nice, quiet boutique hotel with a good breakfast

The room was very quiet which was very important for me to get over jet lag from long travels there. The breakfast was excellent and is a buffet. The staff was very helpful with everything except the second day they failed to give me a wake up call. Thankfully, I was already up and did not miss a flight for example. She wrote the time and room number on a little slip of paper rather than putting it into the computer. That was the only issue. You can walk to some nice restaurants, a good exchange place, and a mall.

The hotel was lovely. Even though there was a stressful occason where they couldnt get the keycards to work on our room, they more than made up for it with the service thereafter, by upgading our rooms and providing free drinks etc. Assel in particular was very good!

Amazing Hotel

Amazing room. Very comfy beds. Bathroom was amazing with the showerheads and toilet paper. Finding the light switch was a bit challenging. Air conditioning was cool. Mini-fridge has plenty of goodies. Overall a great stay.

Fantastic stay- room was better than the photos! Two tiny things- photo on website shows a bar/lounge. There was a lounge but no bar at all- disappointed for the website to be out of date. Also no English tv channels as is pretty standard in most hotels. Other than that a wonderful stay, good breakfast, superb location and great value for money.

Loved this hotel, its clean and the room was great. The staff were also lovely and super helpful. The only feedback i would say is that at breakfast it would be helpful is any vegan/veggie options were labelled. Other than that amazing

The room was clean, bed comfortable and good sized bathroom. The breakfast was not good, spoiled fruit, dried out crunchy pancakes, raw bacon, not worth the money.

Lovely lobby and very nice room. Overlooked a small square. A dozen plus places to eat within two blocks. Main transportation hub a few blocks away. Walkable to many sites or if moderately athletic you can walk the city. We will stay here again.

Hotel was beautiful, very quiet and clean, wallpaper peeling off in some places and gym was way too small. Breakfast could have been topped up more regularly, they did regularly too up the breakfast players just left them empty so we had to ask for everything. Even tea spoons... We did have a lovely stay though and will be back if they add at least one English channel on TV next time...

Only 2 channels of TV worked (in Hungarian) and the WIFI in the room did not work. Staff did not offer a solution. Suggest hotel advertises these services are not available

The room was okay, the shower design allowed a lot of water to get on the bathroom floor, the carpet really needs to be changed through out the whole building. The elevator is extremely slow.

Superb upscale luxury hotel, elegant and beautiful. One could not ask for a more comfortable, luxurious 'standard' room & bathroom. It is in a superb location for sights and dining options. I felt like this luxury hotel is a bargain.

My only problem with the hotel was the absence of a cafe or bar. Other than that they everything that I expected from hotel stay.

The location was good but it was lots of dirt due of construction . Workers outside were very rude, they wouldn’t even move to let us through . Not too many things to choose from breakfast . The staff were super nice, all of them including the people in the kitchen . I will return to this Hotel , hopefully next time the construction will be done .

This was the second time I stayed here while in Budapest, and it a lovely hotel very conveniently located just north of the central area. There are many restaurants in the immediate area, and it is a short, easy walk to the city center. Public transportation is easily available nearby as well.

Location is great, in a historic building, close to public transportation, but away from noisy streets. Rooms are clean and service was excellent. We liked the complementary hot and cold dinks in the lounge. While our room was relatively small, it had ample storage.

Very friendly staff including cleaning crew. The location is a plus as it’s near bus line yet one block away thus providing quietness. The street access is undergoing reconstruction. The cons: towels are stiff. The decoration is dark color - carpet and hallway walls and its clash.

Good, short stay in this hotel, located in a very quiet area of Budapest but was within walking distance of town centre. Great restaurant opposite the hotel. Staff helpful in sorting out transport to the airport and general advice in getting around the city.

The hotel was great. The staff were very courteous and friendly. My only complaint is the construction out front of the hotel.

This was a week stay and we were very pleased. The road in front is ripped up, so it is hard to drag luggage, but that is not their fault. The staff was very helpful. Free coffee bar. University liveliness next door. Definitely recommend.

Have stayed here a few times. Always friendly staff and great people. The rooms are starting to show their age. But it’s just that. Age! I’m sure they’ll get some renovations going at some point. The rooms are clean, well equipped and the cleaning staff are great. Treat them with the upmost respect. Thank you for another great stay.

Beautiful and Historic building located in a beautiful quiet city sqaure, but it has great transport links with tram, bus and metro stops all a 5 to 10 minute walk awey.

Really nice place

The property is located in a good area for transport and airport bus. There are extensive roadworks going on around the whole property and this would make it inaccessible for any disabled. Staff were efficient, but not particularly friendly. Breakfast area not cheery, and food was a little disappointing with cold scrambled eggs, and generally a lack of choice. Room was well equipped, but very overlooked from apartments opposite. Good choice of restaurants around with some beautiful streets near by. Hopefully standards will improve, but generally not a hotel I am likely to return to.

The property was well located.

Construction works on both street sides are extensive, dangerous and badly marked by the company carrying out the work, and no signage assistance from the hotel. On the last day of our stay, someone had placed a pallet between pavement and deep road excavations. Health and safety considerations appear to be non existent. On the basis this is improving the area and will eventually be completed, I will be happy to recommend the hotel to friends and family. In the meantime, works are likely to continue for, probably 4 weeks from until mid or end of April 2024.

At the time of our visit, roadworks were taking place all around the hotel making access less than perfect. (Once finished, the square in which the hotel sits will be very pretty). The staff were very friendly and helpful but, despite the grand entrance, the hotel lacks communal seating areas and other amenities. There are, however, plenty of good restaurants within easy reach. The express bus to the airport is, also, only a short walk away.

Unfortunately the road & pavement outside the hotel had been dug up meaning you had to walk through the unfinished works

Beautiful hotel, great service, perfect temperature and comfortable beds for a great nights sleep. The only negative is the decor, such a beautiful and historical building should have been kept in keeping and traditional not made modern.

Hi the hotel itself was lovely but unfortunately during my stay the road at the entrance was all dug up and there was no safety measures put in to allow u to leave or enter the hotel. U had to walk through dirt and rubble which wasn't ideal .

The hotel is in a great location with just a short walk to the centre of Budapest. Staff were extremely helpful. It was very clean and chic. Will definitely return to this hotel when I’m next in Budapest.

Very good - except for the fact that for our entire stay - three days - the hotel had no ice.....

The road in front of the property was closed with big road works We had to go to the high road to take a taxi

A great hotel in a very nice area of Budapest. A few charming little restaurants within walking distance and close to public transport routes. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly. My only complaint is the beds are a little hard, but that’s just my opinion. I would recommend!
