Excellent location, service and accommodations. The breakfast was nice. This was my second time staying at this property, and I enjoy their service and the continuity of staff. The hotel is an old Castle that has been modernized for the use of a hotel, and it is simply wonderful, which adds to the experience. They have onsite parking, and have an overflow lot at the top of the hill. Make sure and follow the parking directions given by the hotel, to use the right address, or be very observant and follow the signs, because blindly following GPS could have you on the very narrow streets at the top of the hill, which is not for the faint of heart. I had no complaints and highly recommend this hotel. Be well!
Property is very nice. Comfortable beds and complementary coffee and water. Parking is on site, but not so easy when you leave you have to go around the town to get back to the hotel. Staff is amazing!
Very nice
Regresaremos!!!!
A beautiful hotel in a charming village full of lots of things to do and great food! the parking lot was a little tough to access.
Excelente opción en Trujillo. A pocos pasos de la plaza central
Beautiful place to stay. The surrounding area is spectacular. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. My only problem was the parking and the driving. The very narrow roads were scary in the rental SUV I was driving. Wasn't sure I could get back down the next morning. Otherwise, this was a wonderful experience.
Hotel was very nice and right at the city center
Great location and friendly staff. Hotel feels a little dated and my room wasn't very clean, with lots of hairs in bed and on floor. Parking is tricky too.
This was a hard property to find as it is tucked away on a small medieval one way street and there were no city signs. Once there it was fine with a great view of the iconic plaza mayor. In a good location for walking around the historic area.
Very nice and beautiful property. Very close to all the attractions
Fine but nothing to get excited about
Title says it all. Room was fine. Service was fine. But nothing exceptional. Pool is teeny; terrace is pleasant. Layout of hotel is very weird, however. Also no coffee in the room, which I really missed. Parking is connected to hotel, but up several flights of stairs, if that is an issue for you. Location is excellent, and Trujillo is truly charming.
Great Hotel in a Fantastic City
We loved our stay in Trujillo, a magical place and the hotel added to our enjoyment. The location over looking the square was excellent, even the car park has the most fantastic views
This hotel was lovely and the people were nice and helpful. I highly recommend.
Unbelievable views overlooking historical plaza and town center. Beautiful pool and construction walking distance to 25 resteraunts. Was disappointed that hotel did not serve dinner except on weekends
Very nice hotel, it was lovely. Enjoyed the location and ; and the pool was nice; only 6 pool chairs so get your spot early. Don’t rely on taxis service to be on time.
Great Location, Modern, clean, spacious room in a wonderful old building.
Trujillo
Great hotel in a beautiful town
Location and architecture are unique Very well adapted based on a centuries old building
Excellent serviceable and friendly staff. Wonderful complete breakfast. Great location for Plaza Mayor.
Overall is very good. Nice conversion of historical building into comfortale modern hotel. Excepttional location in heart of historic town. One small issue - room had very intense scent of kida cheap air freshiner/bath parfume. For expensive hotel aromas should be controlled a bit better.
Thoroughly recommended
Overnight stay on the way south. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful town. will stay here again on the way back north.
Only one night stay wish we had more time. Great restaurant nearby to eat at.
This property sits overlooking plaza mayor. It’s a converted old palace with modern amenities. Free parking on the street but street is tight. Great value for money.
Excellent time spent at a truly wonderful hotel. Beautifully restored palace with all modern comforts.
Luxury in an old city.
Okay it was set in the heart of the old city. They did provide parking. Nice pool. Good breakfast. But at the end of the day it was an upscale chain...
Modern hotel in historic building. Beautiful! Pool overlooking medieval village is amazing. Patio is a complete architectural achivement for time when it was built. A total jewel.
Trujillo wonderful
Superb hotel Very well situated
The hotel has a great location and a nice pool area, which we used to cool off in the heatwave! (It was over 40 deg when we were in town). The hotel is built in an old palace, so getting to the rooms can involve 2 elevators and a bit more moving around than normal, but for that you gain a lot of character. We drove to the hotel and yes the roads are tight, just like they are in many other small Spanish towns. We did not reserve a parking space in advance, which worked out quite well as we ended up parking for free about 300m away from the hotel - as directed by the helpful front desk. There are 3 small parking spaces in front of the hotel where you can leave your car for the 5 mins it takes to unload your bags. All in all a great stay and a nice little town.
OK stay in Trujillo
I had a small room with dark paneling that made it seem even smaller. It was OK, but there was nothing at all special about it. Staff were helpful.
what a gorgeous place
one night stay but what a stay. fab location in the centre, hotel is wonderfully renovated - with a maze of corridors, literally a stones throw from the church and the castle. do not miss the castle - it's €1.50 well spent! didn't have breakfast so was just a bed for the night, but was worth it.
The hotel is lovely and the area is amazing but driving the streets of Trujillo is quite scary and trying to find the hotel car park is virtually impossible without asking for help at reception!
Perfect
Very nice room with a comfortable bed overlooking the plaza. We drank a beer and watched the people go by and the storks build their nests. Very relaxing. We regretted not having time for a longer stay.
Exellent position for visiting Trujillo. Hotel lacks ambience. Room service only for food and drinks. No coffee/tea making facilities. Not suitable for people who have difficulty negotiating steps. 17th & 18th March 2018.
Great, great, great place to stay in Trujillo!
Excellent hotel, with helpful, friendly personnel and great location a few hundred feet from the main square and other sights. The room was super clean and roomy with excellent WiFi reception. Breakfast was very good and price for our stay was reasonable. Great value for the money.
In the heart of the old town
Were able to walk to the sights and restaurants. The warm breakfast was complete and delicious, with lots of choice.
Trujillo Eurostars
Wonderful place to stay for a few days. A little tricky to get to by car but well worth it
Most convenient place in town
Three nights with three friends: just steps away from one of the most beautiful plazas in Spain (though the plaza restaurants do tend to be mainstream international tourist). Views out the back of the castle, from the front, the plaza. Was nice to be back in Trujillo after 4 years. Within the walls is an architectural wonderland and the views from the top of the tower of Sta Maria La Mayor are stunning: 100km and more. But sit by the castle and you look straight down at farms and the cowbells are clearly heard. Spend a couple of hours here and you might be repelled by the arrogance of the people who built fortresses in the town; a day gives you the chance to realise what a lovely place this is. And, besides, it makes a good base for visiting Merida, Caceres, Guadeloupe or the Monfrague park.
Excellent service Well locate Breskfast outstanding Sara at Reception desk was execellent a asset for the hotel
Great for sightseeing and comfort
A lovely hotel ,close to centre 2 mins. hotel with a small but welcome roof top pool with loungers and parasols ,our room opened on to pool wonderful After a very hot 40 degs day sightseeing A wonderful find
AMAZING!!!!!
Fantastic, Juan took really good care of us! took me to the best parking spot in the world!
Superb hotel in a beautiful setting
Everything about the trip was perfect. Booked it all through Expedia, the flight with Iberian Airways, car hire, Eurostars Hotel in Trujillo and Hotel Clement Barajas next to Madrid Airport.
Nice hotel in a lovely town
We chose Trujllio because it was a part way transit between Seville and Madrid. We were very surprised by how lovely the hotel and town are. We enjoyed exploring old town and the castle on the hill. The hotel was clean and our room was large and had lovely views towards the central square (room 311). Breakfast was good and had decent variety.
Wonderful ambience in the heart of a historic town! Staff hospitality was outstanding.
Beautiful hotel in a very interesting location
Room kept in tip top condition at all times, staff extremely helpful, close to the main plaza for meeting friends, rooftop pool and sun beds to relax on
Historic building in great location
Lovely historic building close to all the attractions. Breakfast was good and staff very helpful. A very comfortable stay.
Unique destination
Exceeded expectations - both the town and the hotel
Great Location
We visited Trujillo for the Cheese Festival and the hotel is next to Plaza Major and all the cheese action. It is also in the center of the historical area of the town.
Palacio de Santa Marta
This was an excellent hotel in a fascinating town. The narrow streets made it difficult to get to but it was worth it and we plan to return. Food in the hotel was very good and service excellent. We had no complaints.
Location,location,location
Wonderful hotel overlooking the main square in Trujillo which itself is a wonderful town.Parking is not straightforward but the entire Trujillo experience makes it worth the effort...especially as we were given what is probably the best room in the place. The staff, especially Roberto, were welcoming and helpful and the food was fine. Will stay here again.
Ideal location.
Ideally placed for the castle, medieval area and Plaza Mayor. Free parking which is a bonus in Spain. Like most hotels in Spain, no tea or coffee making facilities, otherwise excellent in every respect.
Modern hotel in historic building
My wife and I spent 3 nights in this very nice, clean, modern hotel in a historical building. It is right off of the Plaza Major and within historical area. Staff was great..helpful and pleasant. Juanjo went out of his way to help us get the car parked and answer any questions we had. If you don't like driving on very narrow streets to park your car, there was parking on la Avenida de la Coronacion...very close to hotel. We parked the first night in hotel parking, but the next days on the street. We did a day trip to Merida (about 1 hour) and another day to Caceres (30 min). We didn't have breakfast at hotel, but restaurant was very nice. We had breakfast at Nuria Bar Restaurant in the plaza... Not much selection, but good price and local atmosphere.
Lovely mix of old and new
Couldn't have been nicer! Terrific view, good location right by the square, comfortable room. Efficient front desk staff. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're going to Trujillo.
Beautiful building
The hotel had no record of my booking causing a delay at the reception desk. The hotel building is stunning.
Great Hotel central to the Extremadura area
The hotel room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was a bit pricey but a vast spread and you don't have to take it. We didn't try the restaurant but there are lots of cafes and resaurants available close by. It is important that I mention the staff who were without exception very helpful and freindly, my rented car broke down during the stay and they dealt with the change over for me in the middle of the night. Overall a very nice friendly experience
Fantastic all round
Beautiful location, wonderful hotel and staff. We had the set menu for dinner and it was perfect
Duplex rooms difficult for elderly.
Lovely spot in romantic Trujillo
Everything was excellent. Staff friendly. Room lovely. Quiet pool in lovely spot. Town sleepy and lovely - very welcoming and lots of sights or nice streets to potter. We were sad to leave.
Wonderful hotel in perfect location
This hotel was a wonderful surprise, as it combined both exceptional quality and location for a very reasonable price. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, and as we arrived, they allowed us to add one person, our daughter to the room. The room we had (the suite) had simply one of the best views in town. And Trujillo is simply a splendid place to be.
Fab town - great location
Nice hotel. Pool area very small so we went to large public pool in town with the kids (walking distance).
EXCELENTE
MUY BIEN TODO, HABITACIONES MUY AMPLIAS Y CAMA MUY COMODA
All fine. Breakfast can improve a lot... No Products, Coffee machine broken,...no staff to help.. Parking is far and difficult to reach..
Recomendable
Hola
Fantastic
Todo perfecto, hotel céntrico y personal encantador.
Amazing location.Beautiful traditional palace with modern facilities and services. Nice and helpful staff, delicious breakfast.
lovely building near to the central square, storks on every church tower welcoming us
Modernt hotell mitt i historiska kvarter.
