At a hotel of this quality some items or in short supply: towels, lighting in the room, coffee pods for the coffee maker. Bar soap. Air conditioning works great but it was almost impossible to adjust the thermostat in our room, which needs replacement. The rooftop pool is an oasis of calm and I a city buzzing with tourists. It should be noted that in this humidity, a towel never dries after use. Breakfast buffet is plentiful. Vooked items are mostly fried.
This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. The staff was very friendly. When me and my brother overslept after being awake 48 hours prior Luz not only called us a cab but she also communicated with tour staff and had them hold our boat for the day trip we planned. The location is also perfect it's 4 blocks from the Clock tower. The pool on the roof is amazing after a long day of walking. The security is very good as well if you didn't book a night you wasn't able to get in. At the end of the day I would recommend this hotel to everyone. And I'll definitely be going back in the future.
Hotel did not have much amenities . Pool had no staff at the bar . Bar was closed . No services . Breakfast was a very mediocre if any , breakfast .
If I could rate this hotel 6 out of 5 stars i would. Awesome on every level. The location is ideal - it’s a small hotel with not a lot of guests when we were there - so very private. We have a very nice roof-top pool (rare here) which we had all to ourselves. The breakfast options were excellent and Natalia was almost like our private chef - always willing to help, great suggestions and made a point of learning our names. The location is just steps away from great bars and restaurants - we especially like Buena Vida - just down the block. However we highly recommend getting the upgraded room - i think it’s the only one with a balcony - which we enjoyed using. Can’t go wrong this this hotel!
This is a small quaint hotel. The rooms are well appointed and quiet. Our stay was in early November and it is safe to say that this is not high peak season. We found ourselves to be the only guests at this hotel for most of our stay. With this in mind, we thought it was strange that we were housed in one of the "back rooms". The back rooms only have one window and it faces the interior corridor, making it dark and difficult to tell what time it was in the morning. Other than that - the "back rooms" are very comfortable. As it happened, we experienced intense rain storms and a the bathroom ceiling began to leak. After some negotiating, we were able to move into a "front" room that had a proper daylight window, which according to the Expedia room rating was the same category of room (Deluxe Double Room) that we had paid for. Considering the duration (8 days) that we were there in a mostly empty hotel, we should have been assigned this room from the beginning. The rooftop patio is great. The breakfast buffet was mostly not provided during our stay as we were (on most days) the only guests; instead, we had to order breakfast from a menu. The location of this hotel is really good. We had a very enjoyable stay!
Staff is very accommodating. Rooms are clean and showers are great.
Very nice staff, great location
Great week end escapade
Very well located, a stone throw from Santa clara, plaza San Agustin in the Ciudad Amurallada. The rooms are ample, very well decorated, comfortable bed adn bathroom. The pool on the roof top is good. breakfast buffet is simple but good,. Overall the staff is very nice and serviceable, the hotel is a calm oasis in a busy area of the historical city, so exactly what I was looking for. Will definitely come back
Very kind staff.
El Hotel perfecto , habitación con balcón súper espaciosa y cómoda, piscina en la terraza genial, el personal súper amable, desayunos completos, cerca de todo comida , tragos y shopping 👍
Excellent
The hotel is beautifully decorated, rooms are spacious and clean. Location is perfect, close to main attractions and dining options. The staff was INCREDIBLE, ensuring all my needs were meet even before my arrival. Throughout my stay they were attentive, offered recommendations even helped with reservations and tours. The staffs attention to detail, went above and beyond! Our stay was unforgettable, highly recommend this hotel if your seeking a personalized and exceptional experience!
The hotel is very conveniently situated and the staff was very welcoming upon arrival. However, they weren't very helpful when I returned a reached out only 2 hours after checking out about picking up the phone charger I had left behind in the room.
Well preserved .
EUROSTAR Cartagena
Nice hotel, not as nice as some of the newer locations. Elevator was out.
Staff are polite and honest
Very nice hotel…enjoyed the rooftop pool to hang out. Very good location near everything. Two day stay was enough in the Walled Area, as too many people pushing products or services every block you turn. Basically, very very touristy. Getsemani area was an easy walk from hotel and more laid back.
Overall well, Though Compared to a few years ago, the breakfast is more simple now with less choice, such as bread, smoked salmon is also not available anymore.
I enjoyed every single minute of my stay, from the moment I walked in everything was above my expectations, highly recommended!
Great quiet location. Close to everything. Clean huge cool rooms. Spotless. Great service and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast and beautiful pool and tranquil environment.
Wonderful boutique hotel in the middle of the historic walled city. The streets are crazy busy but once you walk in to the hotel you barely hear it. The staff is so sweet and attentive, and the rooftop pool is a great place to cool off after touring the city.
Fantastically friendly & professional staff
Rooms are spacious and not that many (so it never feels overpopulated). The old palace it's built in preserves its grandeur. There is something to say about the upkeep of some of the common areas - they could do with an uplifting touch. The staff at the hotel are wonderful. They are professional, super friendly and go beyond the call of duty to help you have the best possible stay in the city. I highly recommend this hotel.
Substandard Hotel
The rooms smell musty, moldy and this triggered my asthma. They don't provide box of tissues. It is a basic hotel. Breakfast was just toast, fruits, eggs. The cleaning lady did not clean our room on the second day. This hotel is overpriced. It's only advantage is it's location within the old city. Better to stay in Bocagrande like the Hyatt Hotel, just 5 minutes taxi ride, where the hotels are luxurious for the same price as this hotel.
FIRST CLASS !
Beautiful rooms , great location and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Couldn’t fault the place , will definitely go again !
The hotel was good and quiet very clean
The staff was amazing and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. This is a quiet hotel. There was not much going on. And the room was great but the only window looked out into the hallway, interior courtyard. Great location.
Beautiful property. Staff was helpful and very professional.
Property was well located. Rooms were nice and clean! Staff was super nice and helpful
Spacious rooms in a boutique style hotel. Easy access in and out of my room in the center of the Old Town. Great location. Personnel was very courteous also.
My mother and I stayed at the beautiful Eurostar hotel for 4 nights. The hotel itself is gorgeous with not a speck of dirt or dust. The staff was present and extremely helpful. We coordinated with desk staff Frank and Rafael. They were instrumental in us having a great stay. The front desk is staffed 24/7. We also would like to acknowledge the dinning manager David who recommended delicious local foods for us to try. The waiter serviced breakfast was convenient and a highlight of the trip. The rooftop pool is a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures and was always clean/ warm. As it is a smaller hotel, we had the pool area to ourselves most of the time! If you’re looking to stay in the walled city this is a great option! Walking distance to everything.
The room is spacious and quiet. It is located inside the wall and within a walking distance to ttall attractions and great restaurants. Elvis and Rafael at the reception are amazing!
Must stay
Beautiful and great location. Staff was amazingly friendly, attentive, and helpful. Rafael helped me so much and he went out of his way to help me with the COVID test. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Cartagena. Definitely worth it!
The bedroom was a good size but quite dark - not very well lit. Due to the design there is a lack of natural light. Bed was comfortable & room well designed. The bathroom had a good shower and lots of space. The pool area on the roof was small but well planned and provides a relaxing area to rest away from the heat and hustle of the town. But we were very disappointed that the advertised bar area was not available - over the 3 days we were there, no one was available to have the bar open. The main restaurant and bar is closed for refurbishment- so there was no bar available at all in the hotel Given the hotel is expensive - this seems unbelievable, we were disappointed. The staff were happy to serve a cold beer or water from reception to take up to the pool - but if you wanted another you had to go downstairs to order it. Breakfast is served outside reception during the refurbishment - which is fine except that this was directly outside our room, which made it difficult to sleep as soon as breakfast started. The staff were very helpful, especially Elvis. Overall a lovely hotel but needs sorting out their customer service. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, with small portions and if you asked for more (like bread or toast) with your eggs it took ages - why bread or toast was not provided as standard seems odd to me. Overall I liked the hotel but Over priced for the customer service it provides.
Cartagena's best
My stay was amazing and Rafael made sure that i was taken care of. The staff was wonderful.
We had a nice , relaxing time at the hotel. Location was great and staff was friendly .
Great hotel, great location, friendly stuff
The hotel is well priced. We stayed there 3 nights as a part of our trip. It was clean, the rooms are nice. The location is great, it’s closed to the main attractions, save neighborhood, we didn’t feel insecure at all. The restaurant offers good food. The stuff is very helpful and friendly and not pushing for tips like it happens often in for example Mexico. Kudos to Rafael, stuff member who was super helpful in getting us anything we needed.
A quiet gem
We loved everything about this hotel. It is beautiful, quiet, great staff, delicious breakfast and a lovely pool. We will return.
The location is good, the building is nice and the rooms are ok. No hot water and the service is poor! I told the front desk about not having hot water... they ignored it... and during checkout the manager basically telling me that I probably didn't know how to turn the handle to the warm water...as if I had never used a shower before... Very frustrating. Tried to get the manager and he just did not care. I will not return to that hotel and will not recommend it. For the price they charge you are well better off going to one of the other expensive hotels in the area.
Excellent service, very clean and calmed place. Very near to everything.
Loved the property. Could use a little updating but overall was very nice. The breakfast each morning was perfect. David was extremely kind and welcoming each morning. All of the staff were extremely nice. Greta job to them all.
4 stars hotel?yeah right a joke, everything is broken shower head, towel holders, toilet seat, the floor is dirty in the rooms with hair from previous customers, the humidity smells in the rooms , the service is terrible beside few staff trying their best with no resource, as well there is no room service, the giants birds at the pool are scary and annoying, the windows around the pool are dirty as well, no towel for the pool if you ask one , none will bring it to you but you have to go to the from desk to get it yourself, pool is dirty its very disappointing I've been traveling the world and that not what a 4 stars hotel should be ! I've been coming here many times over the few months and I can tell you I'm never coming back here . its really disrespectful to us clients I will personally write a letter to Eurostars management and to the director of this hotel which are not doing their job and will put my bad experience on all social platform , trust me not worth the money they charge . wifi is also weak in certain rooms, I stayed in a total of 6 differents rooms overs the months I've been coming here, there is 12 rooms in total and its sad to see that there is no maintenance at all and no staff really in charge to who you could complain to they do not care. very sad to have this experience!
Muy bien
The staff
only problem is that they had parties at the pool area with very loud music in the afternoon and the evening. The pool is on the 3rd floor, my room was on the 1st floor and yet I felt like I was in the middle of a club. I had to go to the reception twice to get them to ask the parties to turn the music down.
I loved the courtyard in the front. The glass elevators were a nice touch. And the rooms were nice and clean.
The staffs was amazing and helpful, hotel was clean. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to cartagena

Great stay in Cartagena.
Beautiful hotel. Very well located (nearby everything). Quiet neighbourhood. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Beds are very confortable. Great breakfast with a lot of choices from the "a la carte" menu (which is included with the price of the room). Great service all around. On the downside, the rooftop pool needed some cleaning. The cushions on the lounge chairs need to be replaced, and the towels need to be updated. Overall, very pleased with this hotel. Would recommend without hesitation.
