Very nice place, good location friendly staff totally recommend Looking forward too get back soon
Lovely hotel with nice amenities in a great forest setting, was beautiful with snowfall
Our 2nd visit after staying back in Feb 2020 and feel the same standards have been upheld (hard to do after covid too). Really nice hotel is nice quiet surroundings, 5 mins drive from the slopes & the free shuttle buses run back and forth all day so work out well. If you're heading into town in the evening there are always taxis outside and its a set 20 lev which was reasonable (some try it on when coming back so haggle with them). Good: - Spacious rooms, very good shower & the kettle/ fridge comes in handy too. We were upgrade to a one bed apartment and it was nice having the sofa to relax in the afternoon. - Hotel bar is good, plenty of drink choices at good prices and if you fancy a change from the buffet their food menu is decent and fairly priced. - Shuttle is great into town, goes every 30 mins to the slopes 8-11am then random times 2-6pm to bring you back to the hotel. - Nice pool/ sauna area although sadly the jacuzzi was closed during our stay. - Breakfast buffet is decent. Plenty of choice from hot to cold yoghurt/ fruit/ pastries. -Location is lovely in the forest, especially when the trees are snowy its magical. Very quiet too unlike the hotels around the ski slopes yet still close enough to town. -Staff were all great. Think others comments about being unfriendly are a little ignorant. Their culture is not super smiley but they were all very pleasant to us and helpful if we needed anything. Also goes a long way to learn some of their language - even jus
Staff wasn’t helpful at all. Probably the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
Great choice
Great hotel, very clean and cozy
Excellent stay
We got an absolute bargain on this hotel and I can't fault it for the price we paid. Breakfast is generous, the bar is inexpensive and it's lovely to have the pool and spa. Our room was very spacious and we had a shower over bath. Yes, parts of it could do with a lick of paint perhaps, and it's not a super flash ultra modern kind of hotel but I think for what it is, it's excellent. We did have one night of noise from people within the hotel and outside but that's not unique to this hotel. We will be rebooking for next year.
They don’t clean floor in the room by all means and I think they do it as quickly as possible, put trawl in order and the bad in order, and it is clean. The sheets they don’t change as well. Property is excellent, good new apartments , but people who are are serving it are not on the aim of the task. Our first night as we ordered drinks in the bar , closing 11PM , still didn’t finished our drinks not making new order they turn off the lights like they throw as out!!!
Family getaway
Two nights, very pleasant stay. Comfortable and modern accommodation. Apartment had it all. The resort is settled in a quiet, close to everything location. Staff was very helpful.
Nice hotel and experience
Overall a very nice hotel and experience. Staff were very friendly. We had a suite and it was huge. Super king size bed in bedroom which was very comfortable. Nice big bath with power shower. good selection at breakfast. Spa facilities were ok and clean. Free shuttle bus is a bonus. Taxi is 10 Lev, about £5. The only thing that stops me giving an excellent score was the noise. 2 floors below me was a group of lads and they were very rowdy after returning from a night out in the early hours.
Spacious rooms, lovely spa facilities and cosy lounge / bar area
Would stay again
Had a great short ski break with the family, super friendly staff and good facilities including restaurant and spa. Liked being out of the town and found shuttle to be convenient plus taxi option was very easy and only 10lev, would visit again.
Great! Check-in was friendly, room was clean, breakfast was good!
The room is a lesser version than the photos, some of the floors were regularly wet and slippery and no effort was made to prevent slipping and injury
Nice resort, rooms are massive but abit plain, hotel has everything you need after a day on slopes. little way out of main centre, taxi 10lv each way if shuttle not running.
Our room was right across from the elevator it was noisy in the mornings.
The apartment we stayed in was very spacious and nice. The rooms are overall clean ,but they dont pay attention to details when cleaning, there were biscuits and other food leftovers under the sofa.So when you use the sofa to sleep you see all the dirt . The main downside is that when you have to go to the swimming poop or the restaurant you have to go through the underground parking ,thats very unpleasant. Overall the property is good, good location ,away from the crowds.
Nice restaurant, weird night light
This hotel complex on the outskirts of Borovets is quiet and features an excellent restaurant (with a superb list of local wines by the bottle as well as excellent grilled trouts and orange cakes) and friendly staff. The rooms are spacious but have a few weak features – chiefly a bright night light that gets switched on real bright in the middle of the night when the power supply gets interrupted. Air ventilation is lacking – requiring an open window at night with sub-zero temperatures.
Nice, clean, big and comfertable rooms. staff was helpful. Hotel area is next to forest in a very quit place. Breakfast was poor. We enjoyed our stay!
Wonderfull
Amazing
Good Value
We went in a small group of four for a ski trip. It was a pity that the hotel was rather quiet and somewhat distant from the slopes. The breakfasts were very good and the rooms clean.
nice property, a bit neglected, and tired but nice. road leading to the hotel in horrible, must be redone.
Great hotel with large rooms. Slightly out of the centre but there is a shuttle provided so it’s not really a problem. Taxis are easy to pick up for trip in and out of town outside of shuttle times. Breakfast was good and we also ordered food in the restaurant one evening which was nice. We enjoyed using the pool and spa which was clean and pretty quiet most of the time The only downside was one of the waiters was extremely creepy and unfortunately took a liking to my friend, he would stand and stare at her at breakfast and always try and hug her or touch her back, it was quite uncomfortable! Otherwise no complaints and would recommend the hotel, it was very good value for money.
The staff were very helpful & friendly. There could have been more restaurant staff in the evening, a la Carter was great. Buffet pretty poor. I wouldn’t bother with paying for half board next time. I’d pay for the evening meal separately. Breakfast was very poor, some cut fruit would have been nice.
Loved the two bed apartment, but plugs hanging off the wall, stains on the shower ceiling. Marks on the wall. Holes in the sofa. Lazy maintaince. Nice and warm room. Cleaner everyday. Nice hotel. Ok breakfast. Nice bar and restaurant. There is a kitchenette that you can’t use so what was point in it? No pans plates or cutlery. No microwave or even toaster. So u can’t cook. The hotel must want u to then use their restaurant, instead we just went out every night. Poor spa really cold. Need a car to be able to use this hotel. It is a nice place. But too expensive for what it is.
Great hotel for the money. Nice spa, breakfast and views. The room is huge and lots of closet space.
Excellent hotel
We stayed in the hotel three nights with two our kids. It was really a nice place. The rooms were big. The sophe bed for the kids wasn't so comfortable. The service and the restaurant were excellent. It is five minutes outside of the center and crowded area. We recommend it to all.
Nice hotel in woods
A nice resort in a quiet area. Spacious and clean room. Off season with s fee guest, but the services and super meals, both dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff! A enjoyable stay.
Fantastic Holiday
Great hotel for our family holiday in Borovets. Very quiet hotel located in the forest. 2 storey suite so kids and us had a bedroom each. ok, you have to catch the courtesy bus or taxi (£5) to get to the slopes 5 minutes away and this is the trade-off as Borovets can become quite lively in the evening/early morning. Nice pool and very good breakfast.
Lovely hotel
Great hotel, really enjoyed stay. We forgot swimming costumes so didn't use pool or spa but pretty tired after skiing. Only criticism I could make regards ski shuttle bus. Hotel a couple of kicks out of town. It would have been good to keep shuttle goung until say 7pm to allow guests to get back into town without taxi. 10 leg each way every day added on quite a but. But otherwise really good stay
Good hotel but room for it to be better
Nice hotel but for skiing the location is difficult because you can’t walk to the town so it leaves you reliant on taxis if you want to head back to the hotel after 6pm. Room was large and loads of cupboard space but oddly despite having a kitchenette there was no cutlery and plates etc. Dinner there was ok but not brilliant. Breakfast was lukewarm but otherwise fine. Service was good and reception happy to help.
Nice clean rooms
Located in the woods, our room had a view to the forest, really nice and quiet! Nice seperate sitting area. The only downside was the fact that there where no bodylotion/hydrants in the bathroom.
Peaceful place for family
We stayed in Euphoria Hotel during the Christmas Holidays. Vert peaceful friendly nice clean and modern hotel. Comparing other hotels in Borovets, Euphoria is located within 5min away from the main place( Restuarnag area, Gondola, chair ski lift area) We were satisfied with the Hotel. The only point to pick is that the breakfast is too monotone. Everyday is the same sortiment of egg, ham, bread. Sometimes apple & orange juice is like normal water.
Top class hotel in idyllic setting
I adored our time here - it's situated in the middle of beautiful forest land, the air is so clean and the hotel itself is wonderful. We stayed in an apartment suite and there was SO much space! Since we were there during the hotel's off season, we pretty much had the hotel and spa to ourselves!! It was glorious :) The outdoor hot tub, sauna and steam room were a highlight :) Would 100% stay again!
Good and quiet hotel
Friendly hotels for those who want quiet, a bit far from the Borvits Center.
Lovely hotel and grounds
I stayed here with my 3 grown children on a skiing holiday. The hotel is lively and away from the Hussle and bustle of the town. Breakfast was pleasant but a little busy at times. Pool and sauna good. Hotel staff fantastic. I would say that in the morning the shuttle bus was over y crowded sometimes we had to get and pay for a taxi. Whilst the apartment was large and very pleasant the kitchen did not have any utensils, plates pans etc. Overall a great hotel just a little outside the town.
Staff especially in breakfast restaurant is not good, not polite. But this not include all staff.
Hotel in ski resort, but not for skiers
The hotel needs a human touch. There is no ski depot, it has everything for 4 star hotel, the staff is not smiling at all. Small pool, no connectivity with outside jacuzzi, small restaurant which is at the same time lobby, reception, ala carte resstaurant... I looks that they've build a hotel by some standards, but it needs more finishing details.
Cozy stay in Borovets
Pros: - access via asphalt road from Sofia via Samokov (if you arrive by car do not forget to refuel before entering Samokov at the roundabout); - spacious rooms (wee took Corp D Suite 101) which included a kitchenette and which was in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant & pool area - parking outdoor included in the room price in front of the villa D (only Villas A & B offer access to indoor underground garage to -1) - clean suite, grounds and compound - living room had a expandable sofa (+2 extra persons if needed) - good restaurant and interesting vine collection (a bit overpriced though) - decent continental breakfast (pretty much the same - 3 types of meat/cheese, limited amount of fruits, fried eggs, bacon, omlette, mini croissants, on type of bread, coffee, tea, juice (no fresh juice), etc) - comfortable bed - good feedback from concierge (first night because the wall radiators were not working properly the temperature was low inside the condo but after discussion with reception clerk we got an extra electric radiator and a plummer fixed the heat inside so everything was warm and cozy; good stuff and great feedback - so do not hesitate and contact concierge for anything you'd like) - a convenient location to start exploring Rila heights and surroundings. CONS: - access to spa/pool area not directly from the villas - a bit outside Borovets downtown - a car would be needed to access the slopes and ski lifts area or shops.
Excellent hotel next to forest
Excellent hotel next to forest, we stayed in two bedroom apt - good choice for a family
Great room, great breakfast, great massage
Excellent hotel off the beaten path. Large modern room, good spa for massages. It's about a five minute drive to "downtown" Borovets and the ski slopes, which actually makes it somewhat far given how small Borovets is. I would definitely stay there again if I ever make it back to Borovets.
Really pleasant staff and nice accommodation
Very friendly staff ,massage very reasonable and food was excellent would recommend to anyone to stay at this hotel.
Excellent secluded hotel in Borovets ski resort!
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my cousin in early fall. The hotel staff is fully bilingual (Bulgarian and English), polite and very helpful. The hotel is made up of 3-4 separate buildings. The main building houses the reception, restaurant and other facilities while the other buildings house the rooms and apartments. The whole area is well-landscaped and is lit at night. The apartment I stayed at was very clean and in perfect order. Housekeeping was excellent and we were provided with very fast Wifi service. When the hotel is not busy, you get a-la-carte breakfast in the dining hall. When it's busy, you're offered the standard buffet. The hotel is surrounded by a pine forest so it's very quiet at all times. There is also free parking available above or below ground.
Not The Best
Booked a Suite, had no air conditioning, in summer this is far from ideal. The complex is not a hotel, but a series of apartment blocks that have remained un-sold, with a block having been made into a small hotel. The complex is a long way out of town. It has poor Spa facilities, with a small pool, steam room, jacuzzi and two saunas. The jacuzzi was not clean as it is outside and there are no instructions on how to use it. The pool area had towels all over the place and wet floors. No one had cleaned the area for a while. We had an evening meal and a breakfast, poor service and poor quality food, sum up what we received. We have stayed in other Borovets hotels and this is not the best the town has to offer. The only saving grace was the delightful handyman, he was always very pleasant.
Won't return due to terrible waiting staff
Expensive faraway from town terrible waiting staff! Lovely handyman though
Nice hotel, good staff
Nice hotel overall. Rooms are spacious, new and comfortable. Underground parking is big. Food is adequately good too. Breakfast starts at 7h30 and gives you plenty of time to relax after eating and you can still get to the Gondola early. In contrast, in Borovets, most other hotel's breakfast services starts at 8h00. The shuttle service to and from the Gondola is every 30 minutes and always on time. My only complain is with the room cleaning service: I stayed for 6 days and the veranda was never cleaned, not once; the complimentary tea and coffee bags are provided one time only, at checkin; the floor was never wiped (even in winter I like to walk barefoot in the room and my feet's soles were getting black after a few steps). I would also like to suggest the hotel to better look after the hotel's surrounding areas, although this is the task of the municipality. This will give an overall better impression of the hotel's localisation.
Nice hotel but poor kitchen and service staff.
The hotel and its facilities are actually quite nice. It is located a few minutes drive out of my he Borovets town center but the hotel has a free shuttle that takes you there and back which is okay. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful but the service staff at the bar and restaraunt were not very pleasant. They often did not have things listed on the menu but never offered and explanation or apology. The first dinner we had there was amazing. Two days later we ordered the same meal and it was absolutely horrible and not at all as described on the menu. When we asked the waiter why it was so different he said that it was a different chef. When asked why the pasta was a different type than on the menu, he said it was the Bulgarian version of it. When asked about the lack of sauce he said the chef ran out of cream. Then he just walked away from the table. No apology or chance to order something else. The same staff works the bar and restaraunt at night and then takes care of breakfast again in the morning so they seem very tired and overworked. It made the dinning experience there very unpleasant.
Nice hotel but a bit far from the Borovets action
New hotel with all the modern amenities. Large clean room, if a bit sparse/without character. Courteous service, albeit didn't go out of their way to be helpful with bags. We visited the hotel during August so it felt like a ghost town. I assume no more than 5% of the rooms were occupied. The hotel is located one to two miles away from the center of Borovets (and the gondola up Musala) so a car is necessary. While they are older and the rooms of a lower quality/standard compared to Euphoria, the Rila and Samokov are better located.
Excellent hotel - shame about location.
Very nice hotel. Excellent value for money. The rooms were spacious and in good condition. The staff were very helpful. The spa was lovely. We were very lucky that our group of 8 were almost the only guests so often had the spa or the bar area or the restaurant to ourselves. The only let down of this hotel is its location. It is a distance out from Borovets. If you do not mind getting taxis or braving the walk (only route is down the road with no footpaths) then this should not detract from the hotel. The hotel does provide a free shuttle bus back and forth from Borovets while the ski lifts are running. Unfortunately, the last shuttle bus meets the last lift down so the option to stay for apres ski in Borovets after the last lift is not available if you would like to use the shuttle bus service. This is a good excuse to return to the hotel and take advantage of the spa for a few hours after a long day skiing though.
GOD BLESS BULGARIA!
The hotel is amazing, staff are great, but would be unfair to say that they are only in the hotel; bulgarians are happy, cheerfull and helpfull people in general. Spa is fantastic and free for guests... Internet works at full strengh anywhere in the hotel... Transfer from Sofia is available and Shuttle to the ski station works very well The only minor down side is the location which despite of been in a great area, in winter can be a little problem because Borovets village ends up not been a walking distance destination for a dinner out... We were two couples so sharing 10levas (£5) each way was never a problem... But still if you have a full board deal or feel like, the hotel's restaurant definitely deserves a thumbs up!!!!
