Absolutely incredible location and service - highly recommended

Exceptional

Although the weather was not perfect, we had a delightful holiday here. Tony, the hotel owner, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. He provided us with a detailed introduction to the hotel's facilities and activities. However, the hotel staff would need additional professional training. During our first hour at the hotel, I sustained an injury while attempting to borrow a surfboard. The staff appeared unfamiliar with how to unhook the surfboard, resulting in an accident that caused significant injury. While they did offer verbal apologies and basic first aid assistance, we felt somewhat neglected in terms of follow-up. The hotel offers complimentary speedboat transportation to two nearby islands renowned for their beautiful coral reefs and perfect for snorkelling. Our captain consistently provided pick-ups and drop-offs on time. The on-site restaurant serves high-quality cuisine that exceeded our expectations in terms of portion size and flavour. We particularly enjoyed the fruit platter and Thai omelette for breakfast. Overall, the location is great and the surroundings are beautiful, with stunning coral reefs and delicious restaurants. The driver of the hotel was very good, the day we left the hotel and went to the airport, our driver Robert said it was his 50th birthday. He liked a cake very much but thought it was too expensive to buy it. I hope he had a good birthday and if we have a chance to visit Vanuatu in the future I think we will get him a gift.

Honeymoon stay

Amazing stay. The Vila was spacious with an amazing view of the ocean. It has multiple lounges, hut with daybed and a plunge pool. The beach is right outside the backdoor. Staff were very welcoming and kept our room clean and tidy everyday. Highly recommend for any honeymoon goers.

Fabolous Holiday

WOW what a holiday!! Amazing resort. From the moment we arrived at the airport - the staff were fabulous. The facility's were wonderful. From the gym, to the pool, to the snorkeling - beautiful reef to explore. Evening entertainment was enjoyable - Fire Show and local band. Hope to visit again.

Eratap beach resort was absolutely perfect. From the views to the staff and everything in between was amazing. The pool villa was spacious with a great view of the ocean and islands. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. The food was amazing! Fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. The resort was about 25mins out of town but supplied everything that was needed. There were daily activities and entertainment such as snorkelling, kayaking, bike rides, island trips, fire show, village tour, trips to town, guitarist and many more provided! I cannot fault Eratap beach resort and will definitely be back in the future.

Stunning location, beautiful facilities, quite and private villas, great restaurant, but best of all the staff were amazing. Looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed over Christmas break, and even got engaged at the resort. The staff were accommodating to my requests for a birthday surprise for my partner, and always went above and beyond to make our time away memorable. The food at the resort was also incredible, each meal was delicious and fresh with local produce. Now to the downsides: the resort is 30 minutes away from the main town. Although the food was amazing, it was also expensive. If you book restaurants outside of the resort, add an additional $60 for the transport to the cost of your meal. Despite advising staff that the robes were not replaced in our villa, it took 3 days and numerous follow ups to actually get some new clean ones. The 'shop' is ridiculously expensive, but unless you can get into town or want to add $60 for a shuttle to buy stuff cheaper, you have no option but to buy from there if you run out. They request that the air conditioner is only run when you are in the villa. Although i understand that the property runs on generators, it was exceptionally hot when we stayed there and the air conditioner is only in the bedroom. We also had a storm when we stayed there, where our roof leaked into the villa. Be prepared for lizards/gechos to come into the villa aswell, every single night. Although overall we had a memorable trip, and an experience we will never forget. You can tell the staff are paid poorly (they did tell us this) and walked in on one of the female managers (Leila) yelling at a staff member

The most amazing resort.

We stayed at eratap beach resort for 6 nights for our honeymoon- we stayed in villa 11 (honeymoon villa). Robert picked us up from the airport with cold bottles of water, was super friendly and chatted with us about Vanuatu on the way to the resort (30mins from airport). On arrival Pascal greeted us and checked us in, she spent 10mins chatting to us about the resort, activities and answered our questions, we received a welcome drink on arrival (delicious). Robert kindly took our bags to our room for us. Our honeymoon villa was amazing! The bed was very comfortable, large shower & bathroom, air-conditioning worked perfectly. The living area was large and comfortable sofas. The restaurant has amazing food, all staff were so kind & welcoming- Mel was especially great! We used the spa, Anna & Elody were so friendly and providing a relaxing experience. The resort offers many different activities with no charge, we went on the village tour, daily trips to Port Vila, yoga session & experienced the fire dancing night (AMAZING). We also used the resort activities such as doing a drift snorkel around the big island- INCREDIBLE snorkelling & we swam with 2 dugongs! Pascal is an incredible staff member, she organised all of our external activities (blue lagoon, waterfalls, fishing charter) and was so kind & accomodating. I couldn't recommend this resort enough, a fantastic place & wonderful honeymoon experience.

I knew it would be nice but I was stunned by our private villa at Eratap. This is a beautiful property and I highly recommend it.

The snorkeling from the beach was good

We absolutely loved our stay at Eratap. The management and staff were absolutely beautiful. We loved our private little bungalow and our own little slice of beachfront. The resort was super clean and well maintained. The main pool was warm which was a bonus. Full use of the canoes / SUPs and the motorised boats with driver all included too. We had a couple of restaurant meals that were not so great, but then others were AHHHMAZING!! Try the seafood risotto and pork belly if they're on the menu. The coffee and cocktails were both fabulous and the breakfasts were great. Fresh muffins daily and pick of the hot breakfast menu. Snorkelling straight off the beach out the front was incredible and all the snorkelling gear is there for you to use. Truly a little slice of heaven!

The staff provided a wonderful experience. We were celebrating a birthday, the chef and team really made it a special night with a lovely custom menu and delicious birthday cake. Totally relaxing vacation. Best fish (wahoo) and chips we’ve ever had!

INCREDIBLE! I don’t even have words to say how good my stay here was. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing beach vacation, this is it! The food was incredible, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the resort is beautiful. Cannot say enough good things about it. Absolutely perfect.

Idealic looking, peaceful with excellent comfortable seaside accommodation. Friendly, attentive staff. 3 very attractive and conveniently located private beaches and excellent swimming pool. Unfortunately the beaches are no good for swimming and main beach only safe for snorkeling at high tide if the strong current sign is not up. Restaurant and meal very good standard except that they ran out of some basic foods (especially some like fruit platter that should have been readily available locally), some meals (including chef's daily specials) served with listed components missing and some lapses in service did not justify Melbourne restaurant pricing.

Very friendly staff

To walk out your door and snorkel with the most beautiful sea life is an experience I’ll never forget. To wake up to the most magnificent view of the oven is priceless. Ant the staff were wonderful. I’ll be back 😁

Monique & I stayed at Eratap and we highly recommend. Staff were friendly, helpful and made the holiday for us a truely unique experience. Access to facilities and activities was seamless and help was never far away. The castaway island experience was a favourite if you do stay. From start to finish the holiday was perfect. Personalised airport pick up, delicious welcome mocktail on arrival at the resort. The villa was spectacular. The view was amazing and the food and staff were second to none. We will be back.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Relaxing in beautiful surroundings! Lots to do, or just chill out. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Sea warm, crystal clear, nice for looking at or snorkeling. Boat trip round lagoon a highlight, with deserted islands for picnics or swimming/snorkeling.

A wonderful resort with fabulous staff

Immaculate and stunningly gorgeous, this place is the complete package. From the excellent fine dining restaurant to the free activities and excursions, this is a bucket list stay.

Ocean front, excellent staff and food. Always chairs available at the pool and for meals with NO reservations required. Highly recommend !!

We had a wonderful stay here, we only had 3 nights here and it was perfect just what we needed. We were greeted with cocktails and personally shown to our villa. The whole atmosphere is perfect for unwinding and relaxing. We both had massages in the spa and we were taken to their private island for a picnic where we swam in the sea and ate our picnic on the beach. The pool was lovely and each villa has their own little shelter and recliners on the beach in front of your villa perfectly spaced from the neighbouring villas. There are Kayaks and snorkelling gear available for free. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant is fantastic. We couldnt fault this resort and we definitely be coming back

I am almost reluctant to write a review at the risk of too many others finding this little piece of paradise! Only 20-30 minutes from the airport and Port Vila. We loved the spacious villa with separate bedroom and lounge. Our own beachfront cabana was our 'go to place' to watch the ebb and flow of the tide and the setting sun. The snorkelling was amazing with a wide range of coral and we even saw a turtle swim by on our first day. The staff are super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The resort has its own 'Castaway Island' with a boat on demand to take you there, complete with picnic lunch. There are plenty of kayaks/paddle boards for use. The only downside was some noise from the construction of the gym/shop/tennis court which is due to be completed in 2020. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic location. Staff friendly and helpful. Food selection very good. Free activities included. Islands snorkelling and picnic. Free bus to town every day. Spa treatments very good. Daily activity. Great swimming hole on beach in front of restaurant. Outdoor shower, separate lounge and bedroom. Lovely bathroom products. Birds, lizards, palm trees, nice gardens. Very accomodating. Would stay again.

What is NOT to like - peace, quiet, beautiful gardens and pool, sun, sea, sand, wonderful staff and great food.

Truly excellent

Amazing resort, great service, beautiful scenery and excellent facilities. Hard to fault.

Villas are spacious and very well-appointed. Food is good, however the isolated location requires in-house eating - from a relatively static menu. Tide times will significantly affect opportunities for snorkeling.

The accommodation was fantastic, very peaceful and relaxing environment

this place is like paradise. Fantastic place. Just wonderful from the beginning when we were greeted with a drink and Tony the owner meet us at the enterence. Until our last day when we had a late check out as the room was not required for that day and Tony and Clare the resort manager knew that we had missed one day of our holiday due to no fault of our own and were keen to help us make the most of our last day there as we had a late flight. Clare was just the GREATEST so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Had our best holiday ever and although it might be a bit pricy you get what you pay for and I was fine with that. Excellent job Eratap. Please keep up the good work.

Wonderful location, tremendous staff and a terrific Christmas Break for 2018

Awesome resort with great staff, excellent food and spectacular location.

This is one of the best holidays I have had in a while. The best things were: * Only about 40 minutes from the airport but far enough away to feel secluded. * Reef very close - in particular, we liked the reef off Castaway island. * Complimentary Snorkeling Gear, Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Boats. * Helpful staff * The food at the restaurant was excellent and not too expensive (which you can sometimes get at resorts). We had planned to have dinner one night in Port Vila but ended up eating every meal at the resort. * Different activities each day at 10 am which we enjoyed (again, all complimentary). * The spa was great and, again, not too expensive considering it was located in a resort. * Rooms / bed comfortable with beautiful views over the water.

The staff were wonderful and the activities gave one a chance to learn more about Vanuatu its history and people. Our accommodation was right on the beach and there was a beautiful reef, all we needed to do was walk into the water, but there were kayaks and boats to take you out to nearby islands, other reefs and lagoons. The food restaurant was just right, Vanuatu beef is excellent and the fish was wonderful too, always fresh and delicious. Excellent for both lying around and exploring.

Great Escape

A good venue supported by great food and staff. It is definitely a perfect place to unwind and kick back .

Island hop or relax!

Loved our stay at this wonderful resort. Gorgeous beachfront location, free use of snorkelling gear, kayaks and stand up paddleboards. Snorkelling right off the beach in front of the resort. Loved the free boat shuttle across to the little islands. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely soaps and amenities. The pool was beautiful and the cocktails delicious. The best part was the friendly accommodating staff!

Secluded luxury location

Staff very helpful and friendly. Location is stunning. Plenty of activities included. You can be as busy or relaxed as you want. Food is delicious. Presentation is excellent. The bed was a touch hard for us but we have a very soft bed usually. Water pressure was great. Bathtub is nice and deep for a good relaxing soak. Private plunge pool was a bit cold for us in winter but would be brilliant in summer.

Excellent hotel and location.

Excellent hotel and location. The hotel is in a quiet picturesque location, with calm waters, good snorkelling, good facilities, great food and worthwhile activities. Furthermore it is close to a local indigenous community, which welcomes guests and gives an insight into a traditional culture functioning in a contemporary world.

Simply beautiful

From the moment we arrived we were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. Whether It was planning a pick nick for two on a deserted island or arranging a romantic candle lite dinner on the beach the attention to detail was second to none. The resort and accomodation itself was simply beautiful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eratap Beach Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing escape to paradise.

Amazing location for a private get away

Lovely resort approx. 20 minutes out of Port Vila. Spectacular views and only 12 villas in the resort which means a peaceful and relaxing stay despite the resort being fully booked. Activities are available including paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling, village visit. Along with light entertainment at night. Perfect balance of beachside relaxing and pampering. Highly recommended for honeymoon or babymoon.

A very quiet secluded place to get away..

Spacious isolated resort with well kept grounds and facilities. There is enough to do outside the resort if you seek it out. If it rained during your stay you would be stuck. We did the blue lagoon and hideaway Island which the resort happily organised transport to and pick up at your choice of time. (30 mins each way and some on dirt road) Note. Hideaway island was fantastic for reef and fish snorkelling..absolutely brilliant. The resort was very accommodating with activities and local culture within the resort. 5min boat ride to island of choice with picnic and snorkel gear was good. Nice reef coral but we did not see many fish. Local village tour at Eratap was brilliant and wish the resort had promoted this on their website as we would have brought over pencils and books for the school. Dinner at the resort and cocktails fantastic and the local shows put on at night during dinner were great. My only complaint was the fridge in our room was so bad that it had a coil hanging down in it and it smelt. We were not there long enough to bother mentioning it. The coconut crabs kept us awake a bit as they only come out at night to crack open the coconuts to eat them. I would definitely recommend this resort for a short stay. With the upgrade of the road to tar will greatly improve the journey as well.

Beautiful location and relaxing resort

Stayed at Eratap for 6 nights with 2 friends. Surprised wonderfully by management at check in with an upgrade to a 3 bedroom villa. The whole stay was characterised by helpful staff always with a smile on their faces, lovely food and a truly relaxing atmosphere. Boat trips to nearby islands for snorkelling was great as was the walk to nearby village ( thanks to Tony for a truly memorable walk and meeting some of his community). Wonderful day trip to Lelepa island and also went on Coongoola day trip. Snorkelling was best off Lelepa. Beach on Coongoola trip was absolutely beautiful. All in all would recommend Eratap highly for a truly relaxing holiday surrounded by great beauty. We met some truly beautiful Vanuatuan people and especially children on our day trips and village walks and this will stay with us for a long time.

Amazing resort

Absolutely amazing, the villa's are large and spacious with air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep cool at night to sleep. Large deck with sun beds overlooking the beach. In door and out door shower both with hot water. Staff absolutely amazing. It's a small resort with only a dozen villa's which means it's nice and quite. We stayed for 7 days and the only time we ran into the other guess was at the restaurant So if you want a break away from it all this is the place to go. We are already planning our next trip back next year

On a séjourné 3 nuits dans un honeymoon villa, wauw. Très privé, piscine pour nou seul, belle vue, tout était au top. Les serveurs tous très agréables, on se sent tout de suite à la maison. Plage superbe devant l hotel avec un barrière de coral, comme un aquarium!!!
