The hotel is old but very convenient, only 5 mins walk to the bus station. The staff is nice and helpful. There are lots of restaurants next to the hotel. And it is easy to reach the tourist attractions of Selcuk from hotel. There is a crystal showroom at the lobby, the owner is very nice and he gives the crystal as gifts for us.
Quiet place, helpful staff.
The hotel is close to the train and bus terminal. On Saturdays, there is a big market right outside the hotel door, where all kinds of dried fruits are cheap and delicious.
Book it, you won’t regret it.
What a great experience. It felt like I was visiting family. Halil had a great presence at the front desk and welcomed me in. He offered me some info on all of the sights and gave me a map with destination points. He also speaks Spanish and English very well. Mehmet is the owner and he’s really cool, hospitable and personable. They have a really cool rock collection in the main lobby. If you see a piece you like you may buy it. But there is no pressure in anyway to purchase anything. Mehmet is also happy to talk about his adventures rock hunting in the mountains of his hometown (he goes rock hunting on the weekends. If you’re here and don’t have a plan for the day he goes out on Saturdays and Sundays. Reach out to him and he may have room for you and or group). I bought a few pieces and I’m really happy I saw this place. Don’t miss out and stay here. You won’t regret booking. WiFi was fast and the bed was really comfy!
Bon séjour
Très content de cet hotel, bien situé dans le village. Belle chambre.
The staff and their service was great! They speak English. The hotel is only 2 blocks away from the bus terminal. The bed is very comfortable. Everything was good
Got an upgrade to my room thank you 😃 Reserved parking right at the front. Within walking distance to a lot restaurants.
Un hotel pequeño muy céntrico, rodeado de tiendas y restaurantes, a pocos bloques de la estación de buses y taxis a pocos minutos de las atracciones principales en Efeso Los hermanos de la recepción muy cooperativos, amables y respetuosos
The hotel owner was kind enough to upgrade our room. The room was clean and spacious. Thanks for his hospitality.
Well located accommodation in town. Safe 24 hr front desk
As we were doing a road trip, the important factors when booking a room were air conditioning and parking. The air con was good, the parking not so... After parking in a reserved space in front of the hotel, I was woken by a call from reception at 11.25pm asking me to move the car as there was a market on the following morning resulting in the road being closed off. I eventually manged to locate a space to park the car around half a mile from the hotel and then had to walk back to the hotel to go to bed... again!! The following day, after visiting the Ephesus Ruins, on returning to the town, the market was still in full swing, meaning that I had to park the car a mile out from the hotel. The market is a weekly event but the hotel clearly makes no accommodation for the fact that parking will not be available on a Friday evening and not until late on a Saturday. Equally, we were in the room from 9.30pm on the Friday evening, so there is no reason why the call to move the car should not have been made until 11.25pm that night. If you are planning to visit Ephesus, please choose to stay outside of Selçuk, you'll benefit from the choice!
Clean and easygoing
great location. well priced. excellent staff. breakfast is okay for the price
Good people
The owner and his family / staff made us very welcome and always answered any questions. Motorcycle parking par excellence
Superb location
Had a good stay at the hotel. It had clean rooms and good Wi-Fi connection. Only dampener was lack of room service and support. But the rooms were big and clean and had all amenities and the location could not be better. The hotel is right next to the train and bus station and very close to the Museum and Temple of Artemis.
We really liked our stay. If you're a value driven traveller and believe hotels are simply to sleep in, then this place is for you.Clean, safe and central to all transportation links. If you're a hotel snob (5*), don't bother. We loved our stay except for two tiny things: poor internet and the beds were a bit hard. Otherwise great!
Pretty good place confortable and clean
Very good
Good location and friendly service
Hotel is located close to historical sites and has guided tours if you need. Staff is extremely friendly and they have someone at the front desk at all times. The rooms are a little old, but AC and other amenities worked with no issues. The mini bus to Ephesus is a 4 minute walk and archaeological museum is about 8 minutes away.
A little tight in the room, but the bed was big and comfortable. A little hard to find if you're driving as streets are narrow and google maps doesn't like the buildings around you at times. Breakfast is nice and staff are helpful.
The staff at the Ephesus Centrum were helpful and knowledgeable. They let us know that there was an event at the amphitheater in Ephesus that evening and recommended that we visit the grounds the following day. This was very helpful for our planning. They had a luggage room to store our bags, while we toured Ephesus the next day. Overall, a great stay, easy to walk to from the bus station and many restaurants are located nearby.
Just a room
Place was safe and cheap, not much else to describe. Staff was friendly and the location is good to walk around downtown and visit the Ephesus ruins and ancient city.
Historicl stay
Excellent welcoming, the do there best to give me a good place parking, the water hot and cold was great, they have a wonderful crystal, stones arranged all around the recebtion area.
Staff were absolutely the best
Excellent place to stay. Very nice location near to the railway and bus depot. Lots of shopping and restaurants around.
Great hotel
This was a lovely hotel, in the centre, nearby many shops and eateries, and bus station a stone throw away. It is great for exploring the surrounding area, and I went walking to Maria House and the Archaeologial site. Wish I had stayed longer, had I known how convenient it was here.
I was greeted with smiles from all members at reception. Room was ready when I arrived to which I was quickly shown. Easy check out as well. Loved the location, and I was given map with all surrounding attractions. A !
Breakfast: very good.
Very nice family run place. Close to lots of restaurants and shops. Short taxi to Ephusus.
Great place
Nice place to stay for one night to enjoy the town
Fine for one night. All good. Beds are a bit hard. Great location.
The staff are very friendly and helpful! The area is close to transportation and shops and restaurants.
El lugar muy adecuado, agradable y el trato amable y muy amistoso.
This place felt more like a home rather than a hotel! One of the best hotels that I’ve ever been to from around the world! The location is close to a peaceful town and a number of attractions, it’s perfect for its price, and the staff are even more helpful and friendlier than any 5-star hotel that I’ve been to! They felt like a family rather than just a business! I even wanna come back here one day just to hang around with them even though I am mostly done with the nearby attractions like Ephesus! Thanks Handan, Mehmet and Leyla for your wonderful service! I wish I even bought some gem stones as a souvenir, you will love the fossil and gem stones collection here too!
Every once in awhile there is a gem of a hotel. This is it. The customer service was outstanding and the location was literally 3 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel was clean and the food was good. Obviously, the main reason people come here is to visit Ephesus. They have a service that for $30 takes you to all the locations. Everyone was friendly and the small town was a delight. I would say take the train here instead of staying in Izmir and traveling to the sites from there. They also can set tours for Hieropolis. Get out of Izmir and come here to make the Ephesus and Pamukkale tours. I was completely happy, and that does not happen too often.
Great hotel in the middle of selcuk. Location was perfect. Staff was very helpful and the room was clean
The description gave the impression that it was very close to Ephesus, but it was not within the walking distance. The rooms were a bit old, and the floor could use some renovation. The staff were nice and helpful..
Very comfortable and friendly, great value for the price.
Very friendly and helpful owners and staff.
Close to the bus station and a big mart. This property is old, but they keep it clean well. All things of the room is very old but, the bed is good and clean. It's very important. Specifically, the room has a lager space than ones of the other hotels. The staff is kind. They always seem to have an attitude to try to help guests. Some sound comes out from the mosque in front of the hotel at 6am everyday. So, that works like an alarm clock. -] They must change the electric kettle to the new ones. The bottom of them has rubbish stains. Unhealthy.
Excellent location near to minibus otogar
The property was adequate for a short stay. Conveniently located.
This property is very close to the bus station but also close to shopping and dining options. My room was nice and bright and the staff were super friendly.
Outstanding hotel staff
Outstanding customer service. Very friendly staff who are always willing to help.
Clean with delicious breakfast!
A good option for visiting Ephesus
Stayed 1 night in a family room. Good for the price, clean, and centrally located (very close to the bus terminal, dolmuş stop, market, etc.).The wifi reception was a bit weak.
The room was clean and the staff friendly. However, the room is really basic. You don't even find a kettle to make some tea or coffee. If you only need a hotel for night sleep, this is not a bad one.
It has a great location. 3-5 minutes away from İzban as well as from bus stop. It is outdated the room we were in. I would stay here again in a room that has Balcony.
Budget hotel - do not expect more!!
The staff were friendly and pleasant during our stay. The hotel was acceptable, although was in need of some repairs and renewals to bring it up to the levels shown in the pictures online. A dress was accidently left in the wardrobe and although we contacted the hotel the same day as departure we were advised no dress had been found by the housekeeping team????
.
Nice hotel
Clean Hotel and very friendly and accommodating staff. The hotel is a little old. The call to prayer at 5 am is super loud.
The best thing was the staff such welcoming people, Iloved the building and decor. It is well placed for the castle and Ephesus.
Bus station /train station two blocks away breakfast great room balcony staff very efficient/stacion de bus/tren a solo 2 cuadras atencion al cliente axelente cuarto limpio con balcon
Shabby and cheap
Not sure why this hotel has such amazing reviews. The building is shabby and cheaply furnished. I wouldn’t necessarily call this place clean. There were minor stains on the sheets, the beginnings of mold on the bathroom ceiling. Walls, furniture, and fixtures were cracked and cheap. Little things were broken everywhere you looked. No decor and ikea type furniture. The rooms encircle an uncarpeted open area with the stairs. You hear everything that happens in this space. Probably fine if you’re a bunch of college students looking for a cheap place you can split with 3 people, but if you have a bit more to spend go elsewhere.
Our favorite part was the friendly staff. He answered our questions patiently and helped us carry our luggage. The room was ok; it’s not as nice as it’s shown in the pictures. The amenities seem a bit old. We understand this because it’s an affordable hotel in a small town. The only off-putting part is the mildewy smell from the bathroom, which we can’t deal with personally.
Conveniently located
Great location, rooms are nice and big, if staying in a Saturday the markets are right out the front! Only a 10min drive to Ephesus
Close to everything and family-run
No frills but has all of the essentials for a short stay. Very close to Ephesus sites, related ruins and the Ephesus Museum. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. Staff were always on hand and very helpful with advice. Good coffee and tea available at the hotel, too. Great way to support local business, too.
I really
Close to everywhere.
Friendly staff
Friendly and helpful staff, direct in the centrum, lots of restaurants nearby. Parking is in front of the hotel except on market day.
Excellent location close to bus station and walking distance to the bottom gate at Ephesus. Spacious room and friendly staff. Good value for money.
Basic but inexpensive
The Mosque was opposite and speakers bellowing at 6am. Staff very friendly and breakfast very good
Though is hotel is somewhat dated, the room is spacious with a balcony. The hotel is convenient for everything, the bus station (where you could take the mini-bus to Ephesus lower gate) is only less than five-minute walk away.
great location
Its a Great location. Very friendly staff. Definitely recommended!
Very clean & friendly. This is a great hotel for the price. AC works great. Although they have lots of WiFi sign-in options, the WiFi is weak.
Great location. Helpful staff.
Good value for the price
Good hotel for the price. In the center. Owner will take you to Ephesus.
Great location, close to train station,we really like it👍
Good value for money budget hotel. Simple room decor but good sound proofing and quiet. No room safe and no kettle in room but for the price I was happy. I thought the extra £3 for breakfast was not good value. Lots of cafes outside. I would certainly come again.
Very nice stay in the heart of town
A very pleasant stay for 3 nights. Kind and welcoming staff. Superb location, close to everything. The room was clean. Staff at reception charming and very helpful. Did not try breakfast but the smell was good. Enjoyed my stay. Thanks very much!
Unique local hotel, with amazing hospitality
True Turkish hospitality. My daughter and I loved this stay in this seemingly family-run hotel.
I was the happiest person in that family running hotel. I shared some wonderful two days. The owners, a cute couple, made me feel like family. After a long day in Ephesus, when I arrived that night I had a surprise, they prepared a cake for me, since it was my birthday. we share and we laughed. I will never forget this important detail in my life. I love them! I unblinkingly recommend this hotel.
Clean and very helpful staff. Very good breakfast.
Loved it here!
I loved my stay here. The bed is comfortable, rooms are quiet, the shower is hot, and everyone working here is very sweet and friendly. The owners helped me with directions and things to see and do. I’ve been traveling Turkey for 3 months now. This is definitely one of my favorite hotels
It potentially ruins your travel
I went to first room where there is no hand soap and bath towel. So I asked to have them. In the evening of the first day, the staff put hand soap on bathroom but he couldn’t put it So he asked me to change bigger room for free charge. The room’s bath room was problem. I couldn’t get warm enough shower and the shower head was probably broken (at least I couldn’t use it properly) I asked those problems next morning, the hotel staff told me it’s matter of time and he said he’ll check a shower head Then shower temperature problem is solved by taking it in early evening. But shower head problem had been remained (he didn’t even check or ask since then) And the bathroom cleanliness was not enough and pressure of water was bad too
Well this is first hotel they did not give or offer breakfast they cheat us in all over we stay 14 hotel that all I could say hotel is old nice pict in room ceilings was beautiful design look land mark
Hotel is steps away from the bus terminal. There are many food options around. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Hotel staff was very helpful.
Good people. good place
Pleasant place with nice staff in a great little town
Excellent Stay
Simple but very clean hotel. Nicely decorated in a traditional style. Very powerful and hot showers. Nice views from balcony. Good breakfasts and friendly staff. Excellent location in middle of town.
Owner Mehmet and wife are so welcoming and helpful that i feel bad leaving thia review as 3* but the hotel need some upgrading. Rooms are basic, stayed in a room where shower drainage was blocked. Breakfast was paid extra during booking but we got was 1 omelette with some salad, no buffet.
Mehmet and his wife are very warm hosts.. they are always in service if you need help. They treated their guest with courtesy and always with a smile..even their staff. I will come back in Ephesus and stay in their hotel.
Managed by a friendly family who get all the necessities right: clean room, comfortable bed, strong hot showers and good wifi.
Great location near train and bus station. Super friendly and helpful staff. Room is clean and comfortable. I really enjoy my stay! Thanks!
Wonderful family hotel that did what they could for us at late notice. Highly recommend!
Highly recommended
First and foremost, owner and his wife were friendly, helpful and welcoming during our stay. The hotel is conveniently located - 3 - 5 minutes from both the train station and the major bus station. Basilica of St. John was within 7 - 10 minute walk and Efes was about a 10-min minibus ride. Lots of restaurants and market convenient stores nearby. The rooms are basic but definitely cannot beat the price for its location!!!! Highly recommended and will stay again!
Good for overnight stay
It is a hotel for those visiting Efes ancient town. It has everything necessary to relax after hiking in Efes. Howevet, there is no bottled water, slippers. But in general it is value for money your pay - do not expect too much.
We felt very comfortable there, since there was not so many people we even got a bigger room and the staff us super nice…
Close to downtown area and bus. Very clean with very accommodating staff.
Great hotel for the $$!
Hotel is in perfect location near shops, restaurants, bus stop, markets etc. My room was spacious and very clean with a balcony. The staff was extremely helpful in arranging tours and helped me with whatever I needed. Would definitely return and highly recommend!
Very nice place, it will be better with WiFi and AC
Good Service! Breakfast is small. The location is also very close to the train to take going to Izmir Airport. But overall it was a positive stay.
Very friendly staff and a comfortable hotel. Excellent location to be able to get around Selcuk - walking distance to the museum and transportation.
Why so good , it was like being with old friends mehmet and hannah werd very helpful and made an effort not 5☆ luxury but welcoming and friendly
Cozy and affordable family hotel
Awesome standing. This family hotel make you feel home. The rooms were well clean, they gave us a free upgrade :) Cozy and affordable, super recommended.
the host is very friendly
10 ⭐️ Hotel
Excellent reception service. Very helpful. Comfortable and super clean rooms. Great location in city center surrounded by shops and cafes. Convenient to taxi and bus access. Highly recommend!
