Great property in a good walkable location . The hotel is very clean , modern
We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour, and had to stay one extra night on our own. The hotel itself was good, however they charge you for absolutely everything. They place bottled water in the room but they charge you. As a tourist, drinking the tap water isn't the greatest. It is potable but full of chlorine, and the staff didn't advise drinking it. There is a kettle in the room, and if there is any coffee/tea available in the room, they charge you for it. The breakfast buffet was average, not bad at all, but not great. If you want a "specialty" coffee they will charge you, but it's not a barista coffee, just a coffee made by a machine. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, but not dinner. However the bar does have a dinner menu. There are no english speaking channels on TV. While TV isn't a priority on vacation, it is nice to get something. The bottles of body wash/shampoo, etc. are the smallest we've ever seen. We had our own so this was not a huge problem, but be prepared.
Great place to stay
While I would prefer being closer to the Polermo neighborhood next time, this was a rewlly great property. The rooms are really nice, the staff was very helpful, and it was a lovely stay.
Place was walking distance to a lot of the attractions in Buenos Aires. Martina at the reception was very nice and helpful to us. Beds were comfortable and place was clean.
I liked everything at this hotel.
Excellent alll around however was unable to eat in dining room for unknown reason probably language misunderstanding. Great restaurants nearby so no big deal
Poor customer service
The experience was terrible given the hotel is 5* but the service was crap. Don’t feel like staying again anymore
Central location staff pleasant rooms lovely but no milk or creamer for your coffee Ovrrall lovely
The hotel staff were extremely kind and helpful. The manager, Alexander and his staff were kind enough to allow me to take a shower in the spa at 6 pm, even though I had already checked out. The room was spacious and comfortable.
It deserves its five stars. It's a great place to stay.
Great choice
Great hotel, in a good location for exploring Buenos Aires. Staff were superb, nothing was too much trouble
Impeccable clean and smart in all parts of the property. Very friendly and helpful staff…
Very pleasant and accommodating staff.
Beautiful
It’s a wonderful hotel with great staff and food. It is located in an area of BA that is walking distance to many of the attractions in BA.
Liked every thing Water should be complimentary Up to two bottles per day
Hotel did not show a lot of generosity. Eg coffees were an extra cost at breakfast. Difficult to obtain tea and milk for rooms without being charged. Little acknowledgement when entering or leaving the hotel. However, the hotel staff at breakfast were lovely.
Great location and excellent staff service.
I Had a late flight and was able to stay in my room 6 Extra hours for a price of course but we know convenience cost
Great location and comfortable bedding
Check in a was unavailable until after 3pm as at least 20 rooms were reserved for late check out of a large Lufthansa crew. It appears the same thing happened the next day. Not the end of the word but if you get in early don’t expect a room to be available for you a little early. The staff was good, bag storage was a little chaotic but most staff were very helpful. The bed was fantastic, very comfortable. Breakfast was decent, not great. A good location close to Recoleta and dining. 2 great coffee shops nearby. We enjoyed our stay.
Very nice hotel and decent location.
Ok for short stays, level of service slightly below what would be expected for high end hotel (front desk check in staff, bellhops not helping in getting cabs)
Excellent service, super modern and clean room. Great breakfast. Beautiful hotel.
Amazing experience. Everything was great, nice and classy bedroom.
Luxury settings and excellent staff attention.
I enjoyed the hotel and room upgrade immensely, staff courteous and helpful.
Staff attention was first rate!
Great Service
Outstanding pre-cruise stay
Staff went way beyond expectations in providing service. Everyone was very helpful to mobility challenged travelers and even helped us look out in the street for a lost item. Concierge made excellent recommendations. 5 stars is not enough to describe our experience. Will definitely come here again the next time we are in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires.
Nice property. Buenos Aires is "meh" so far.
Early check-in to a nice property with friendly staff. This was a one night stay on my own before a joined a group tour the next day. They arranged so I didn’t have to change rooms.
Great hotel and staff . Great location
Great hotel
The whole experience was top notch … from the check in to the check out ! The staff was friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Security was evident in the lobby (professional) … the room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and good. Location was very good for us … restaurants in the area (with security) … easy walk to the sights of interest. Would stay here again.
The accommodations were great, and the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend.
Great hotel in a great area. Lacking small things but nothing that would keep me from coming back again. I would recommend this to everyone.
The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel
GOOD EXPERIENCE
travelled with family 3 corner rooms, excellent !! nothing to say. good service. BREAKFAST COULD BE BETTER..
Noisy Room
I was staying at the first floor, and above my room the Hotel was making modifications in the second floor, which suppose to be only between 2 - 5 P.M. But they started working in the early morning. Also the shower was not properly sealed, and sprinkling water all around. The services, nevertheless is excellent and the personnel very friendly.
Wonderful experience!
Ok
ALL is ok
Very nice hotel, clean, great service!
Nice hotel and nice people!!!
Very nice hotel and excellent crew.
Overpriced hotel with a poor attitude, I wished I’d had the chance to change hotels as this was an extension to a cruise trip .
Excellent location to walk the must-do's! Many great restaurants in the area as well. Large quiet room with nice patio to sit and have a drink. Would highly recommend!
Great hotel and location. Front desk staff amazing ..bar staff slow. That said, would stay here again.
The hotel was aesthetically beautiful, with luxurious inclusions, but a few basic things were not functional, eg one of the taps in our room. Also, things which we consider to be base level, such as tea and coffee making facilities, and milk, were absent.
Very helpful staff
Clean and friendly staff. Beds not comfortable.
Great location downtown Buenos Aires. Updated room and very clean. They bed was a little too soft for my liking and the prices seemed very steep. We felt very safe, so it’s all worth it.
Excellent
Excellent
It has a good location. It’s kind of expensive for what you get.
A luxurious hotel. Several good restaurants a short walk from the hotel. Food is Ok. Nothing to brag about. Service staff is friendly and responsive.
Beautiful Hotel
Beautiful Hotel located very close to the Cruise Ships. Breakfast is included and it was delicious. Everything was first class.
We arrived at about 7 AM due to the plane, staff would charge us $150, a cost equivalent to a night, when we requested to check in. After we finally checked in at about 2pm, staff refused to let us use their luggage truck. When we wanted a room on an upper floor, staff told us It was not available, but in fact it was not fully occupied
Close to restaurants, clean room, and good security presence.
The staff were amazing! So helpful!
Good stay
Overall a very good stay . Service in the breakfast area was not very good . Took too much time to get the food . Although there was a small occupancy clients needed to make a reservation to use the gym which was mostly empty .
We stayed here for a couple of nights before a cruise to Antarctica, one night was already included so we opted to add another for convenience. The person who checked us in sneered rather than smiled. I thought it may be just us but no, he sneered at everyone :-) I know this because I had to visit reception many times. Why? Because if you have a mobile phone anywhere in the vicinity of your room key it wipes it and they have to reprogram it. The staff in the bar and restaurant were lovely, the pool and gym were good too, and just under the bridge there's a very good steak restaurant so the bad points didn't spoil our stay.
Avoid Hotel Emperador , very unfriendly staff.
Was thrown out from the hotel of unclear reasons. Very unfriendly staff. Very arrogant, didn’t want to help. Some of the issues related to corona virus but that’s no reason for the staff to be unfriendly
The property is lovely, beautiful bedrooms. A delightful swimming pool. Having to pay for very indifferent coffee in the room was a disappointment and the early breakfast was poor.
Great location, clean and friendly staff
Such a beautiful hotel! We stayed here for three nights before heading south and the staff was wonderful, the hotel clean, and great food and drink selections. This hotel was an easy walking distance to many downtown neighborhoods and I highly recommend it!
Lovely big lobby, good breakfast, very big and nice room. Nice pool and spa area.
You have to pay for coffee in the room. They would not exchange US dollars for pesos. They were kind to me when I accidentally booked 2 non-refundable rooms. One was refunded.
They nickle and dime you. The room has a coffeemaker, but it costs $4. You get free awful wifi, but have to pay up for premium. When I pay good money for a premier hotel, I expect these things to be free, and not require extra effort for them. Also, there is a city hotel tax you must pay at checkout. Why not include it in the upfront fee and save the client an extra financial transaction? Also, there is a mandatory security deposit when you check in. Yet another (temporary in this case) financial complication for me.
Great location and clean open lobby, large rooms. Lounge service was very slow and checkin/out was slow as well.
I liked the garden, and the quietness of the hotel and the rooms.
Location, big rooms, great lobby, and outdoor sitting area
We loved the hotel and the staff are great. Its unfortunate that they charge for everything, bottled water and tea/coffee in the room, unlike other 5 star hotels. It is a service they could review.
Very good hotel particularly when considering cost
Chosen by our tour operators Hurtigruten we added an extra day to explore Buenos Aires. Needed more days in this lovey city! Impressive lobby and very helpful staff. Comfortable room. Breakfast a little chaotic until you are familiar with layout. Had to pay extra city tax and breakfast for the day booked via Hotels.com - a surprise!
It is situated in one of the nicest neighborhoods of Bs As. The property is very nice and very well kept, It has very good restaurants very near and it is close to the business district. Price/quality is very good. Although it was a short stay I enjoyed it very much.
Great staff and location..........................................................................
A smooth highly professional hotel. Surprisingly large and modern room. Great location too. Staff quickly knew your name. Didn't miss a trick in making my visit great.
Amazing hotel and staff. Excellent location
Well appointed hotel in a great and safe area. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Buenos Aires and will definitely stay again.
All over ok. Restaurant food is terrible, though, and lady in restaurant entrance very unwelcoming
Excellent hotel close to everything , 4.5 stars
Excellent value for your money. Large and comfortable rooms, great service.
High quality hotel near the domestic airport. Unfortunately I only had one night to spend there, would have loved to stay longer. Room was fabulous. Pool/leisure center very nice. Staff friendly & helpful.
A quick one day stay very comfortable
Disappointed
Room is dusty. I suffer from allergies and the dust is everywhere. Would suggest administration of the hotel take the time to come up with Hotel directives so staff can answer guest requests immediately and not 4 hours later when guest has rearranged their agenda. Unfortunately hotel fell short at many levels. I wont be back.
Better than expected
I would definitely stay there again on a further visit to Buenos Aires.
Nice hotel, clean, good location, but expensive, stoped in Buenos Aires before and after a trip, tried to book another night 4 days later and the price was more expensive, we stayed somewhere else
Nice and comfortable hotel, very well located.
I’ve been coming to this hotel for the past 15 years. The staff is very kind, helpful and professional, making you feel at home.
The garden of the hotel amazing
Excellent, location of the hotel in the city is amazing
Convenient location.
We had an excellent stay at Hotel Emperador. The front desk staff was outstanding, particularly Patricio Gorno, the Front Office Supervisor. Patricio was friendly, knowledge- able regarding the city sites and restaurants; he also speaks perfect English and has a great sense of humor. Ask for him--he is superb.
Extras really expensive
Hotel room was very nice and comfortable (junior suite), but the extras (food and breakfast) are really expensive and out of proportion. We felt that some members of the staff needed a little bit more customer service training. The hotel has great potential and rooms are well priced.
downtown BA
Buenos Aires is a terrific city, walkable, likeable and friendly... bus tour is useful, have your shoes shined on the street, stop for coffee...
Great hotel in Buenos Aires!
Really wonderful hotel....very well situated, nice amenities and pool, extremely helpful staff. Room service quick and tasty. Good wifi. Would definitely recommend. Only one minor complaint-- should have tissues in the room--specially got ven that it was winter!
Excellent hotel
Enjoyed very much the hotel and the city Hotel superb, staff very helpful and breakfast worth of five stars
Disappointed
A far cry from a 5* hotel. The only good thing about it is its location. Rooms need proper maintenance, and most importantly client service has to improve.
Not as Good as it Look
The room service menu is terrible; they cahrge for everything; no iron board or iron to use.
Awesome Nothing more needed
What an experience. Excellent hotel staff very big room and all the amenities are first class. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you
Fit for a king
Great staff, very clean room. Spacious and well maintained. I've stayed here before and I'll stay here again.
Nice hotel close to very good restaurants
Stayed only for one night. I knew this hotel from a previous stay
very nice hotel!
this is a very nice hotel centrally located. within easy walking distance to a number of popular areas and located very close to retiro station.
Looking for shampoo
A well located, convenient first class hotel with poor room service. The hotel charges for everything: no free water bottle, coffee pot in the room is both minimum and expensive, the cleaning staff does a minimum job ( coffee pot not clean, no replacement of used soap and shampoo). I had to call in room service and wait for twenty minutes to obtain one shampoo bottle... Not an hotel to recommend when there are other top hotels in the same area.
