Lovely hotel, and great breakfast!
Overall it was a pretty good stay (comfortable bed, helpful staff, nice perks of free breakfast and welcome drinks), but the elevators were extremely slow (I’m talking, no exaggeration, over 15 minutes to wait) and they charged me $40 for parking without telling me it would cost extra . Just would have been nice to know.
Excellent location
Construction happening right outside the room, very noisy
The fact that it is close to the old port. I love it
Hotel parking is not free
Great location. Nice rooms. Bathroom shower was small. Lobby had a strong air freshener which we felt was overwhelming. Staff was very friendly and we loved that there was complementary breakfast and appy hour.
Nice hotel. The parking lot needs improvement. Clean and spacious suit. The personnel was nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. Preferably go in the opening hours for less people. Would recommend for a quick or long stay.
It was very convenient location. The breakfast was delicious and a pleasant surprise. We enjoy the van gogh across the street.
The welcoming front desk agent and the servers of the restaurant were very nice
Great location accessible to metro as well as Old town which was key food incredible Breakfast was so so but everything else top notch
great room
We had a nice suite, spacious and clean. Breakfast and the cocktail hour is a plus. They have a good restaurant, but they need improvement in the gym and amenities like the lobby area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will return again.
.
Property was run down. Not kept well. No lobby. No place to sit. Breakfast was awful. They wouldn’t refill stuff. And close it as soon as possible.
Nice and clean
Worth it. The staffs are very accommodating !!!
The shower door didn’t close properly, but the Hilton staff was listening to my comment. “In Hilton I trust, and that will be fixed shortly”
There was no other access to the lobby, the stairs lead to the outside. The only way to access the lobby was by using the elevator.
Have stayed here a few times. Staff are friendly and the breakfast is pretty good.
Good
Service and location A
It’s nice that close to everything..lobby are renovating so not really much to see.
The hotel was great for our needs: well located, pretty clean, walkable, and they gave us free drinks for new years and free cooked breakfast, which were both great treats. That said, we got a room with a bathtub with jets and none of the jets worked. The shower door also didn't close all the way so every time we showered the whole bathroom got soaked. Still the bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and there were many closets... Great for a group of 3. All in all it worked for us.
Very pleasant stay
One night stay for New Years celebration in the old port of Montreal. Hotel was very nice and walking distance to the festivities. Clean and comfortable. Room was a nice size. Would stay again in the future.
Large rooms with kitchenette but no cooking other than microwave. Still nice to have sink and counterspace
The property is still under renovation, so expect long waits to get into the elevator during check-out and check-in times. Also, be prepared for outdated rooms.
Staffs there is not so good.
-dirty pillow case(not changed?), marks on bed sheet, not enough towels despite asking for towels for 4, toilet seat was on crooked, not enough elevators—had to wait 10-15 minutes each time to go up or down, stained carpet in room, white stained marks on couch, the breakfast was completely understaffed and had to eat at tables with dirty dishes on them…we travel at Christmas every year and expect to be patient and wait but this was extreme. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Needs a good cleaning!
Great location. Wonderful spacious room with fireplace. Nice complimentary happy hour. Hotel was not very clean though and the complimentary breakfast wasn’t good.
Nice hotel in a very good area, close to everything, good restaurant on site
This place was exactly what is was as advertised. Will definitely stay again
Great location, offer of free breakfast
The property needs an update. Everything looks like its going to break. Bath tub wasn't working untill we called the maintenance. Shower was leaking. No utencils in the room even after requesting and reminding a few times. For the family of four there were only 2 large towels and no bedding for sofa and I had to ask multiple times before they gave it to us. Over all ok for 1 night but I won't stay here anymore. The good thing about hotel is the location. All attractions are within walking distance.
Great location! Convenient parking for extra fee.
nice staff , the room was clean and it matches the pics in the app , the location of the hotel is very good close to the metro and the old city
They are nice in the front desk.
My wife and I stayed a few days in December for sightseeing, hoping mostly to see Christmas markets. There was one several blocks away, not bad but nothing much. The Museum of Illusions is only one block away and worth a visit - fun and interesting. Also saw the Biodome which is very well done. We also saw the Aura show at the nearby Notre Dame basilica and enjoyed that. There is a metro (subway) station inside the convention center right across the street from the hotel, and the metro trains can get you to most places around city; go to the manned ticket booth to learn and buy the different options. The hotel restaurant is fairly good; the breakfast buffet has many good items and cooked-to-order egg dishes. We had a great dinner at Osco! restaurant at the Intercontinental Hotel a block down the street. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and when we had an issue with the spa tub, we were able to get a maintenance person to come quickly to fix it. The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and concierge desk were all friendly and helpful. Great stay.
Great stay, everything is walking distance from market to restaurants. Great site scene.
Excellent hotel to stay in Montreal. The staff was very kind and helpful. Also they bring to us two welcome drink to redeem In the hotel. Also the breakfast was extraordinary they have a omelette station where you can order your custom omelette. The location is excellent you can walk and see a lot of attraction from the hotel.
Good location. Nice area
The location is great, very close to walk anywhere in the Downtown core. Front desk staff was friendly
Great room, with a lot of space. Bed was really comfortable
Great location. They were doing some renovations in the lobby
Good
Have been stayed in this hotel several times, and its location is very convenient for travelers. Staffs are kind and helpful.
Amazing stay
Excellent hotel and location. Awesome value for money. Nice little additions to make the stay enjoyable. Would def go back. Big thanks to PierLuc.
Property had very kind front desk staff. They were able to accomodate for English speakers easily. They also had a parking option in the building but it was obstructued at time of visit.
Great
Definitely outdated, good location
Great location. Loved the drink vouchers for happy hour
Bye
The staff were excellent. The property is in a state of disrepair. Leaking shower tub, broken bathroom door, broken bathroom vent fan and roaches in bathroom.
Nice people around : really friendly. We absolutely recommend this property. Great breakfast options
We had a suite, big but not updated.
Lobby and Parking entrance were both under construction.
Great location for family
The stay was good but is under construction/renovation and is not good looking and the breakfast good but gets really crowded and empty very fast the location is great
Excellent stay, would absolutely stay again.
The room looks outdated and needs renovation. Front Desk staff at time of check in wasn't friendly and not welcoming. Lobby is under renovation at the time of stay. Free Buffet Breakfast and Reception Drinks in the evening is complimentary which compensates for the low score.
Special thank you to Nicolas( concierge service) who help us to see the best of Montreal , gave us suggestions for lunch, dinners and entertainment
Very good service. Room very nice and clean. Lobby was undr construction....not end of world but should have mentioned at booking.
The room was cozy and comfortable.
Excellent stay
Although hotel is under renovation, efforts were made to minimize discomfort to guests. Staff was efficient and courteous. Waiter in the dining room was particularly attentive ( I apologize for not remembering his name - he worked the dinner on 10/26), food was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. Nicholas, the concierge, was very professional, friendly but respectful, a real asset to the hotel. Only negative were the slow elevators, of which there were only 2 and lack of good signage to find the fitness center.
Great amenities and perks during my stay. The room was very spacious. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were kind and friendly. Part of the lobby is under construction, but I didn’t find it noisy at all. The hotel is in a central location. I would definitely stay here again while in Montreal.
My stay at this hotel fell far below expectations. The only positive aspect was the location. Unfortunately, everything else left much to be desired. The room was extremely uncomfortable, with a damaged sofa and worn-out furniture that clearly needed replacing. The air quality was terrible due to an overwhelming amount of dust, which made it difficult to breathe. The lamps were also covered in dust, and the room lacked proper lighting, adding to the discomfort. The shower was disgusting, with visible mold that made it feel unhygienic. The toilet would not flush properly, requiring multiple attempts to empty it. Additionally, the closet door in the room was broken, further contributing to the poor state of the accommodations. The jacuzzi turned on by itself during the night, creating an unpleasant noise that disrupted our sleep. The bed was not a king size as advertised, and the mattress was old and in urgent need of replacement. The air conditioning unit was excessively loud, making sleep nearly impossible. The lobby is currently under renovation, and construction dust is noticeable throughout the property. There are only two elevators, which are very slow, so be prepared to wait. To top it off, we had to request clean towels because there were not enough provided for our stay. Adding to the disappointment, when I checked out, I was given a final invoice. However, seven hours later, I received another invoice with additional charges for services I did not use.
Helpful and friendly staff.
The front dest/Lobby area was under construction, eating breakfast in the dinning room there were alot of loude construction noises. We have an EV car, there was no place to charge while we were there. Bar staff {older guy} was very friendly, morning breakfast - didn't see anyone working there. Our coupon said breakfast made to order, it was a buffett. Beds were comfortable, the shower/tub drain needs to be cleaned. We we had a shower it was like we were filling the tub for a bath. The water took for ever to drain.
They are renovating the lobby
Perfect location for visiting the old town.
This hotel has potential, they are remodeling. I think a discount should have been given since we had to walk through the mess and ugliness in order to get to the lobby or elevator. The dinning room was very basic. We talked to the front desk about the safe being broken and they never sent anyone to fix it. WE WAITED! The employees were very nice and our room was large.
The property was under renovation so not the usual beautiful surroundings. The complimentary buffet breakfast was awesome - scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes, made-to-order omelets etc. The two complimentary drinks per person and light snacks during their 5pm-7pm welcome was great. This was every night during your stay. You can't beat the location. It was minutes from Old Montreal and public transportation. We didn't rent a car while we were there for our 3-night stay.
Great hotel, staff very nice and helpful. Close to everything in downtown, you can walk to most of main interest points. Very good breakfast and dining options. Enjoyed the happy hour!
Just OK, but not great.
The room was awkwardly designed and suffered from "poor fit and finish." Closet was tiny and in poor location. An empty space near entrance was obviously meant to be a closet, but was left unfinished. The bathtub caulking looked as if it was done by a 7 year old. The kitchen was essentially useless other than using the cabinets for my clothing because there were no dresser drawers. Bed and furnishings very comfortable. Excellent staff.
Staff could have been a bit nicer at the front desk
Room was very clean and free breakfast excellent. Happy hour free drink and appetizers. Could ealk downtown easily.
Great Value in Montreal steps from the Basilica!
Great place to stay in Montreal. Literally less than a block from Notre Dame Basilica. They had a happy hour with snacks from 5-7 plus you could also order food if you desired from their restaurant. Breakfast was complimentary and either a buffet style or made to order breakfast. Room was very comfortable and clean. Only very minor issue was with shower pressure that was a little low, but not a big deal. Parking was in an underground garage and there was a daily rate but was less than $10 a day if I remember. But be careful if you are driving a pickup truck or something that sits a little high because the clearance is only about 6 feet and a couple of inches. We held our breath as we drove in to it, lol. Staff was very helpful and courteous.
It was great
Nice hotel. Great location. Will come back again.
Room 820, very noisy. Although we were upgraded to a suite (without asking) it faced Fortifications Lane(?) a side street that trash trucks use starting at 3am, 5am and 6am.
Our room was very uncomfortable. Never stayed at embassy suites in such a small bed nd there was construction going outside our window every day
Very nice location
Was a nice stay. Would do again. Good breakfast included. Cooked to order
Friendly staff, good location.
Very good
Property is in good location. Unfortunately the property is in need of maintenance. Furniture is tired and worn. Hand rest in elevator was broken. Whirlpool tub in bathroom went into cleaning mode each morning (very loud) even though we did not use it.
Lovely rooms, gracious and helpful staff.
Great spot to all the things you would need to see!
All around good. Shower could be updated (washrooms)
great location and great staff
A bit dated, high use rooms. But good location and friendly staff
Toujours mon hôtel préféré à Montréal
The staff are excellent. The building is showing its age. Our room tub Jacuzzi didn't work. Often glasses and bottles left in the hallway (not by us) were there for days. Still great staff and loved the breakfast and happy hour coupons.
Average room, at best.
Noisy room. Very small bed, said queen but more like full size bed. Hallway very messy. Room rather dusty, with sheetrock dust in bathroom , perhaps due to recent work?
Convenient. Clean. Quiet.
Great stay! Our bar tender Joey was awesome! The breakfast buffet was great.
We were disappointed with the Room, and the Happy Hour. We left before Breakfast was available, so cannot comment on that. The street noise was terrible throughout the night. Loud Trucks, Motorcycles, and Sirens. There were no utensils or plates or anything to use if we planned to eat in. Yet there is a large refrigerator. The lighting was very poor throughout the suite, and many electric outlets did not function. The layout did not work. Had to keep ;walking around furniture that was too big for the room. I was looking forward to the "Fire Place". Nope - it's just a hole with lights that blows heat. No gas fire as expected. For the price we paid, we are very disappointed. Got to the Happy Hour mid way through and all of the food was gone, and never replaced. There were a few pluses: The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant, and the servers were very attentive. The food was decent. The bartender at Happy Hour was amazing - somehow making drinks for the crowd and kept the line moving all by himself.
Nice location, needs better lighting felt dark and cavernous as our room faced a dark alley. Poor lighting in room. Great happy hour with free drinks and snacks and free generous non buffet breakfasts.
It was close to everything
We've stayed at several Embassy Suite properties and were quite happy with our choices. However, this property did not live up to the "Embassy Suites" reputation for an upscale hotel. The hotel, especially the lobby area, needs to be refurbished. It was dingy and a little embarrassing to have friends meet us there. On the plus side, the breakfast room was reasonable with good breakfast choices, especially the omelette station. However, there are ZERO alternative breakfast meat choices for people who do not eat pork and want an alternative to cheese. Such things as turkey sausages and turkey bacon would be great additions.

Was under construction at the time, however the room was very nice and staff at the restaurant were great! Would stay here again!
