Very well run Hotel !

I hope someone at property management sees this and realizes how incredibly valuable a long term amazing staff is to get returning customers. Everyone here was great but the pool staff of David, Eloy, Elvis, and Alfredo are beyond exceptional and the main reason we want to go back. Thank you for taking such good care of us, especially with my mobility issuse.

Staff — excellent. Food — very good. Location — amazing. But two minor quibbles. 1. Bar closes at 6 — right when I start thinking about a cocktail. There is a space above the reception that is set up like a bar but was never open the two times we stayed there. 2. Rooms are luxurious but there is no glass in the windows/doors so when it is hot (most of the time in Zihuatanejo) you have all the shutters closed for A/C so no view at all. But we had a lovely time. If you don’t care about a bar and plan to spend all your time poolside or beachside, it’s perfect!

Beautiful and great service

TV in the bedroom of room 103 Need to new fuse, sound will play however picture will not. Air conditioner the bed on the left side is leaking. But I can definitely overlook this cause I love the hotel

We usually stay in the Ixtapa hotel zone and decided to stay on the La Ropa side. So much quieter and relaxing and the scenery is so nice. The hotel is a time share property but maintained like a 5 star resort. We were 5 and shared a 2 bedroom suite with 3 full baths. Extremely comfortable and had enough space for everyone to have their space. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I stay here for a month and absolutely loved it! The service and location can’t be beat!

Expensive but excellent

This is not a cheap stay…and previous members of club intrawest, diamond resorts, Embarc and now hilton, take up most of the rooms. The remaining few are in high demand so can command a price. However, it is our favourite place to stay, as long as you can manage the steps! We had more than a hundred up to our room in building number one, from the beach. A good workout!

Sola Stay at the Embarc

I love the community feeling of Embarc. Everyone, staff and guests alike are so very friendly. Hugo at the reception is over-the-top incredible!

Home from home

Great hotel, we will be back next week. Cannot fault this hotel. The only downside maybe yet to be seen but now that it is owned by Hilton they will have a greater client base that will want to use the facility. We struggled to find rooms this year so could it be even more difficult in the future?

Loved our 7 day stay. Room was great , bed extremely comfortable.our balcony space and plunge pool was fantastic. 360 view of the bay. Staff extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. Service was impressive in the restaurant as well as the food.

We loved our 2 bedroom suite. Gorgeous view, fully equipped and always clean. The staff are awesome. Wish we could live there.

We loved the beautiful ocean view room with dip pool. We also loved the cleanliness, friendliness of staff and the amazing ocean front locatation on La Ropa beach within walking distance to central Zihau. We did not love the bats in our outdoor shower. We also did not love that the hotel did not receive the Expedia rate with our reservation and therefore, we were substantiall over charged. It has taken a great deal of time and several phone calls Expedia and Hilton to sort this out.

Get a massage daily, very inexpensive

Our stay at the Hilton was very nice, staff was friendly and accommodating, room was clean and comfortable, and loved the breakfasts in the hotel restaurant. There are only 2 downsides to Zihuatanejo, it's very humid and most hotels are built into the surrounding hills so you are going up and down many stairs many times daily. That's not the fault of the hotel just something for you to know before you go.

Good value for the money. On-site dinning could be improved. Overall a great stay.

The staff was incredible

Room 807 needs a little attention. Faucet handles in the bathroom are stripped and do not work well and the air conditioner is leaking in the dining room table and on the futon. But your staff made up for those few items that need attention.

The property is amazing, from the first view of the beach and pool area when you arrive! The staff are so friendly and make you feel at home. La Ropa beach is a fantastic spot. And the Hilton / Embarc property is very special.

Awesome view!

My girlfriend and I loved our stay here. The property is beautiful and right on the beach, rooms spacious with stunning views, and the staff was amazing! The only negative is not having any food/drink service on the property’s beach area.

An excellent place to stay with ample room to move about. Great pools plus the beach at your doorstep. Staff were always very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this place for a relaxing holiday.

Do it!!!

Do not hesitate and book this resort. Loved this resort. As soon as you walk in to check in they great you with a wet towel that smells like tranquility and a cold chilled water bottle to quench your thirst - and if you are here in a July you know you need it. We arrived super early and Rigoberto gave us bracelets to have access to the pool and beach area and held on to our luggage. He had our room faster than expected. Rooms are cozy cute and fresh. Food is delish. Alcoholic drinks are amazing and the beach rest area was more than you can imagine. The vibe of the resort is family oriented, yet you don’t see kids running around. The pool area was where the party was !! We did not eat at the restaurant, yet the locals do suggest to do so as their menu and food is superb. And I trust the locals. Amazing and friendly staff from the driver to the security gentleman that gave us a lesson on the turtle eggs. We will be back !

Food was fantastic and the room layout including the living room and balcony offer amazing view over playa la ropa and the surrounding hills.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The property and rooms are beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. I'd like to mention Eloy and Procoro at the pool bar for excellent service. Also Hugo and Isaias at the front desk were very helpful with getting taxis and recommendations for dinners and other things. Thank you Embarc for a wonderful trip.

We liked staying at Embarc because it was safe, next to the beach, transportation was not a problem, and staff were kind and helpful. The hotel restaurant was good too.

Beautiful resort right on the beach and about a 15 minute walk to town. The food was great and the staff are very friendly. The ocean view room with the balcony was amazing. We are excited to rebook again next year.

Is the best on Ixtapa

I really loved the woman i was with we both enjoyed our stay! But, we where disappointed that the pool bar did not stay open longer and the restaurants where not open either we had to walk down the beach to find dinner accommodations. The propriety is very beautiful!

I think is the nicest place in Ixtapa very clean everyone was very nice and helpful with everything recommended to anyone

This place is amazing…31 c everyday excellent staff and rooms.

We have been to Zihuatanejo several times and have always loved the area. This stay with the Embrac just enhanced our perception of the many opportunities in this area. The property was everything we could've hoped for especially the wonderful staff and service which we received. A particularly pleasant surprise was the quality of the restaurant on property and the excellent food at the beach as well. The views from the balconies are incredible and everything met our expectations. We are looking forward to returning.

I loved the overall appearance and service provided to us by the friendly staff. The room was as it is listed, very clean, the view was amazing and the food was limited selection but very tasty!

Wonderful architecture and engineering taking advantage of impressive physical setting and Mexican culture. There are LOTS of stairs (for good exercise).

Beautiful resort on a gorgeous beach, quaint walkable city with lovely people, helpful and friendly staff.

Would stay there again. Learned much about what we would do different. ATM on property would be very helpful. Had trouble getting Pesos to use for tips and local shopping so would have exchanged at airport if we had known. Best part of the room was the comfortable mattress. We know everyone is different when it comes to them but it was right for us. Never wanted for towels. Kitchens need a refresh, a bit worn. Some plumbing problems but not a deal breaker. Beach area was great. Excellent service from staff. Food was good, mixed drinks a little weak. We noted that all the glassware for the rooms and the dinnerware in the restaurants was done in fine taste.

Great place!

This is our favorite place to stay when we come to ZIHUATANEJO. You couldn't ask for a better place. The architecture is very cool. The staff is absolutely great. They are willing to go the extra length to make sure that your stay is great. The area is awesome. Nice people. Beautiful beaches. We have been coming here for a long time and Embarc makes the trip even better.

Fabulous location and very well maintained property. Staff were very welcoming and professional in their approach to making us feel like valued guests. Only thing that could use improvement was food. Not great. Not typical of good Mexican cooking. Otherwise would highly recommend.

Love this hotel! Def my favourite hotel in the entire world - the proximity to the beach and pool are amazing. All the staff are super friendly and exceptionally helpful!! From getting a taxi to having something delivered to your room everything is greeted with a smile and willingness to help! Make sure to get an ocean view room as when you open your bedroom shutters and the living room doors you are able to see the ocean from bed and listen to the waves crashing! Can’t wait to return next year !

This is a beautiful property on Playa La Ropa. Our room--king bed with living room, small kitchen, 2 baths, large patio--was wonderful! Great pools and lovely well-maintained beach area. All of the small thatched hut restaurants on the beach are close as well as more fancy restaurants just a few blocks down the street. Downtown is very walkable from the resort. Although there were not a lot of activities at the resort, we really enjoyed the market visit and the cooking class that was provided. We would love to come back again to Embarc Zihua!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Embarc. The accommodations were fantastic! The view of the pool and La Ropa beach were incredible. The staff was friendly and very eager to please. I have been coming to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo for 38 years and this was one of my favorite trips. I definitely plan to stay at this hotel again upon future trips to Zihua.

Beautiful property and location

room had a leak in the ceiling and smelled like mildew. I did not report this because I didnt have time so I stayed with my friends nearby. lots of steps and stairs. A Maze of rooms so beware.

Stayed two times at this property, condition is nicely preserved, staff always friendly and helpful. If they can improve the vent of kitchen cooking smell or direct it to be away from some of the rooms, that would be excellent. Food quality was ok, definitely not as good as rest of the resort.

The view was beautiful, the room was amazing had everything we needed, the staff friendliness was top of the line 👏 thankful for allowing us and telling us about the release of turtles at night.

Never choose here against. When check in, additional fee was required, actual cost got much higher than expected.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The beach is lovely. Happy Hour wonderful. The pool is very nice but I am sure it gets very crowded during high season. The room was nice and enjoyable..we also had a little bat and a crab come to visit.

This hotel was so amazing! The views omg amazing! Everything was great! The only thing food wasn’t to great.. my mom is from Zihua and can tell you their food is nothing compared to their local restaurants.. but if your into the fancy dinning and cuisine type of food this is ok.. loved that it’s not overly crowded.. says great for families but I didn’t see much for kids.. overall I loved this place and will definitely be back..
