ElMaima Hotel | Hotel in Veintiocho de Noviembre | Travala.com
A perfect nightmare: you book the room six weeks ahead for the New Year´s Eve, to be sure that you will have a place, receive an encouraging message from hotels.com a few days before arrival and discover at arrival that the hotel is simply closed. There are two phone numbers displayed at the door. One does not answer, the owner of the other arrives in a few minutes and says that the hotel is closed and that he is sorry. (He showed me the way to another hotel; thanks at least for this. The other hotel fortunately was open and had a room for me.) I wouldn´t be surprised if the ElMaima hotel or hotels.com would charge me for that night. A great way of meeting the New Year, isn´t it?
