Beautiful spot in a beautiful island w clear sea weed free water, water sports, great food
Good hotel in Skiathos with nice view.
Lovely hotel. Amazing views and beaches. Perhaps need a few more staff
the entire resort was massive 4 seperate beaches beautiful sunbeds, the rooms fully set for relaxation, rooms on ground level had there own pools to the rooms rooms on first level had a larger balacony with spa staff could not do enough for there quest also having our own rental car made it so much easier to get around when we wanted to, i will come back here again 10 out of 10 for me.
Positives and negatives
The staff, beaches, position of hotel were first class. However the hot food at breakfast was always cold. This is something that has been highlighted by previous visitors for months but has obviously not been addressed. Cold fried eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc. The other issue is our pool. We had a nest grove junior suite with pool. The pool was not circulating water constantly like the pools around us. The filters were not emptied and full of bugs. The staff tried to assure us the pool was safe even though the water wasn’t circulating which I feel is not true at all. Consequently it wasn’t very clean. Overall I felt the hotel staff were fabulous but the food wasn’t. There wasn’t a children menu either and very little around the hotel for children to do even though it’s advertised as child friendly. However, the nest grove rooms are very close to the beautiful Banana beach so that compensates for it.
The property is amazing. The staff is very professional and on point. We will be going back next year for sure.
Outstanding hotel
Amazing hotel, staff, location and loved it. Will be back!!
Dream
Great hotel, the view, and the food, 👍
Beautiful views, great breakfast, quiet rooms. They should have a smoke free outdoor dining area though.. especially because of the children staying there!

Amazing hotel
Very poor service for a 5* hotel. The reception staff is not well trained.
Amazing Hotel on the Beach
All friendly staff and amazing leisure infrastructure. Beach access to private and public area and swift bar services make the stay unforgettable. Hotel cuisine is international, who likes Greek kitchen will find tavernas and beach bars in walking distance
Most beautiful setting with 4 beaches, and fantastic views. Take the 5 euro Kapitan boat transfer to Skiathos town, or bus for 2 euros from stop at bottom of hotel (no 26)
Great Hotel etc. May not suit everyone.
The hotel and room was fantastic- we loved the personal service and the staff were obliging and always had a smile. The breakfast was amazing with everything you could wish for, the staff always kept the various bowls full and good coffee. We must thank the hotel for an upgrade- this should not be expected- as we were booked in near the end of September and the Season was coming to an end. Our only disappointment was that the beach and beach bar which were not up to the standard of previous years before the building of the Elivi Hotel when they were outstanding, and the reason for our booking this year.(thank goodness we had a pool) Lastly we found that by spending a while at the Hotel it was not convenient for Skiathos Town as it was a bit too far to drive to for a casual walk around or after a meal and a few drinks - the Restaurants at the Hotel were expensive when compared to those of similar quality in Town.
The spa area was disappointing. The location was great. Access to beaches great. Reception staff totally ignorant we observed many of them answering the phone and talking to colleagues whilst dealing with clients at the counter which was very frustrating j deed.
Views are exquisite, best on the Island and the setting for the hotel cannot be faulted. However, The kids club isn’t quite as advertised online and doesn’t always happen. Service could be better.
Access to beautiful Banana Beach. Friendliness of the staff.
Good but could be great
Pros: Lovely location and rooms with large private pool. Banana beach was beautiful and the sun beds had the most comfortable far mattresses of any I have tried. Very relaxing day time resort. Cons: the hotel restaurants were over priced and not great food. The hotel beach bars had limited choices and were also expensive. The Nest apartments were a long way from the main hotel where breakfast was served and the exit to get buses. The was a golf buggy service but sometimes you had to wait for 20-30 mins so had to plan ahead. We ended up going to Skiathos town every night to eat as the area had limited choices. Summary: This could be a great hotel but it needs some staff training and improvements to the restaurants.
Very good stay!
Great hotel - perfect location with good beaches. Room was lovely - got an unexpected upgrade on arrival which can was a nice surprise! Only disappointment was the lack of service from the staff on the beaches... 2 staff servicing over 100 loungers meant it was extremely slow and frustrating.
Very nice hotel, great location, we enjoyed our stay.
An amazing place. There was plenty to see and do and with a family wedding (in a different hotel) as our main reason for the stay, we didn’t get to spend as much time as we would have liked here and still discovered new areas on our last day. A site map would be a great benefit to guests.
Nice hotel - 8 out of 10 due to air con issues
The hotel, beach and room were really nice, the service was great. The only negative i have was the air conditioning which was not cool, reported it and sent someone to fix twice but nothing changed, warm air, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The clear sea on their beach was really good for snorkeling and the breakfast was really well done.
Cleaning of room was very poor. Reception staff useless. Gym facilities non existent despite being on their website.
Beautiful Hotel but not quite 5 star.
Beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings. Breakfast was amazing , so much choice and great view. Beds were really comfortable. Would have given top marks but for the fact that our room wasnt cleaned one day by 5pm so had to be chased up as we had no clean towels for showers etc Also the hotel offers to take you wherever you want to go within the complex via golf buggy but we gave up waiting twice as was told 2 mins and still waiting 25 mins later but overall a beautiful hotel.
I liked everything. Staff was extremely helpful and kind.
My wife and I brought our youngest son (15) to Elivi, based upon a recommendation from a family member. It is a new 5-star hotel but it has teething problems. The location and amenity is 5-star with 4 beaches that have hotel guest luxury sun-beds. The hotel decided however, to earn extra daily cash by re-selling beds to 3rd party’s and not allowing guests to reserve beds for themselves. (this is notable by the amount of colorful beach towels used by visitors rather than the guests beautiful Elivi charcoal grey towels provided by the hotel). This is simply awful when there are no beds available at 11am in the morning. The cleanliness is not 5-star yet, and we found that we had to ask on average 3 times for something to be done. The breakfast was 5-star so too was the food however it often took 10-15minutes to get served coffee when you took your seat on the veranda. I am sure a couple of years of constructive feedback will resolve these teething problems, but Elivi will definitely have to address the taxi service for its guests as Elivi is situated at a remote part of the island. The taxi drivers charge too much money if for example you wanted a lift to local Resturant’s 1500m from the hotel. (€22!). At an island level, there are no footpaths and we found most taxi drivers drive too fast and overtake on dangerous bends. If they up their service to being asked once, cleaned a bit better, don’t sell the guest sun beds for extra cash and sort out taxis, it would be truly 5*
Superbly located on the beautiful Koukounaries Beach, we had a lovely Grace suite with an amazing view of the sea. Our room was brand new and we did have a few teething problems but these were mostly dealt with speedily by the friendly hotel staff.
The response for transportation from the room back to the main facility was delayed and the return transportation to our room during evening hours was delayed as well. Both waits were lengthy. Food amenities are limited during mid day.
Stunning hotel. Well positioned with easy access to four beaches. The newer Grace area of the hotel was beautiful. Rooms large (junior suite w/private pool) and clean.
The location is stunning with breathtaking views from all parts of the hotel. Also the design and decor are beautiful and pleasing to the eye. The beaches are the best on the island and the new restaurant opened whilst we were there and was exceptional. The staff are wonderful always serving with a smile and go out of their way to help which makes your holiday very special. I also have a wheat allergy and they catered well for all my meals and provided me with special bread which was extremely good, not like the usual cardboard dished up in a lot of hotels in the UK! I wouldn’t hestitate to recommend to anyone and definitely would return
Staff very keen and friendly and rooms spotless and comfortable. Bathroom facilities excellent and sun loungers on beach very comfortable.
Lovely new hotel in great location
Fantastic location in a new hotel. Staff were always helpful and concerned you had a great stay. A few teething issues like no hooks for towels in your room and insufficient storage for clothes. Other than that would return and is really more suited to adults than a family.
Everything was perfect
Location of hotel was the best on the island with 4 beautiful beaches around. We were offered a room with private pool for free as a gift to me and my wife. On the downside the behavior of some staff members need imeprovement.
I don’t usually right reviews but this time I want to, to recommend everyone to go to skiathos island just to stay at the Elivi hotel! It is just amazing and everything is perfect! (Views, room, staff, beaches, breakfast..) Thank you for making our stay memorable.
Lovely
Beautiful setting, very comfortable. Easy access to Skiathos Town by boat or bus but with four beaches to choose from. Food at the hotel is good plus two local restaurants are worth trying.
Nice hotel but still had teething problems. Staff very keen to help for sure but very young and somehow inexperienced. This definitely not the staff fault but the management. The 4 beaches and service there excellent probably the best of the island. Would love to go back next year and see they evolved
nice all round
great all round holiday rooms where very good staff where great
Family vacation time @ Skiathos
Great location among the 3 best beaches of Skiathos. Easy access to 3 beaches via free golf car transfer and free beachfront chairs. Spacious room , clean with sea view. Great breakfast. We had an early check in/ check out and reception assisted us when one night our son needed fever medicine. Nefeli is by far the best waitress you will find in breakfast room and banana restaurant as well.
Could be a 5 star but not yet.
We booked a Nest Villa with private pool. It was lovely. Pool is large however it did feel somewhat openplan. Maybe more fencing is required. We had no cold water on arrival . The shower was boiling and unusable. This was reported and fixed the following day. For breakfast there is a beautiful outside area overlooking the Bay. To our surprise everybody was eating indoors. The reason you get attacked by wasps as soon as you go outside. It had a good supply of hot and cold food which was being replaced throughout the service, however the staff are completely useless and if you ordered a coffee there was more than one occasion it wasn’t received. There are 4 beautiful beaches each with very comfortable sun lounges which are free to use if you are a guest. Be aware of food prices on the beach, 2 Club sandwiches and no change from 25 Euro, coke in the room 6 Euro. There are plenty of good small restaurants close to the hotel so no need to pay those prices. The hotel has chosen to rent our their sun beds to none residents of the hotel. Therefore you can expect to have a steady flow of people walking through the grounds taking photos and staring especially if you are in your private pool. By the end of day 2 there were a number of bugs and wasps floating on the pool surface and one of the days the maid “forgot” to clean our room. Again once reported it was resolved straight away but just goes to show how incompetent the staff are.
Teething problems but will be excellent
For a hotel which opened a few weeks ago, there were quite a few teething problems which I'm sure will quickly be ironed out now they have been brought to light. We noticed an improvement in the few days we were there which was reassuring, but there is still quite a bit of refining needed so that the hotel is of true 5* standard. The Manager and staff were very defensive whenever we reported something (our AC had broken) although their attitudes did improve once we had complained to the manager. Language barriers were sometimes an issue. The location of the hotel at the south western end of Skiathos is beautiful and certainly has the best beaches on the island. With a choice of 3 different beaches, all of which have and quite different vibes, and two main pools, there's enough change of scenery for you not to get bored. Saying that, it is a 30 minute bus ride into town (buses come every 15 minutes but are packed!) so we felt quite isolated to begin with. I'd recommend you hire a scooter, quad or car (which the hotel can arrange). The beaches are a beautiful sand, the beds are extremely comfortable and there were always plenty available. Staff were attentive for drinks orders but we felt the drinks and food prices were quite steep. Rooms are beautifully done, very comfortable beds and excellent maid service. Spa and gym were new and looked good.
Very enjoyable, food a let down
Very enjoyable - quite expensive for the service in my opinion compared to other locations such as Mexico. But the view may even be better. Finding delicious food was a bit difficult - lots of choice but nothing much more than tourist food and similar offerings across the island - apart from the seafood which is delicious
Greece at its best
Sensational
Lovely Hotel with superb views
This hotel has just opened and whilst it may have teething problems we encountered none. Will certainly go back.
Wonderful Stay
Beautiful hotel, only just opened. We had a Nest room with private pool, which is situated in a pine grove, with lovely surrounding gardens, with the beach in front. The room was large, comfortable bed and pillows, great patio area with sofa, table, recliners and our own pool which was larger than expected, more than a plunge pool. Staff are polite and helpful and trying very hard to please whilst finding their feet. Ample choice for breakfast. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was superb. Highly recommended!
Amazing when fully operational
We were there for the first day of opening. The Xenia hotel was completed and situated on a headland with lovely views and access to 3 beaches, one by stairs and one by elevator which was not ready until our final day. The rest of the resort, however, was still a work in progress with engineers, gardeners and workmen on site. The staff were mostly very accommodating, particularly at breakfast and when the resort is finally completed it will be amazing. Would not have wanted to stay anywhere else on Skiathos.
Fantastisk bra hotell, helt perfekt
Hotel fantastico. Camera con piscina privata di ottimo livello. Ristoranti buoni. Piscine fantastiche

Fantastic stay at Elivi. Facilities were fantastic and the hotel grounds are stunning. Impeccable buggy service around the grounds. Upgraded when we arrived and had our own pool. The restaurants were great, only negative was that the restaurants were very empty for dinner but that was more because it was end of season. Only criticism was that the bars by the beaches closed at 6pm and we wanted to sit with a drink and watch the sunset but no bars open. Again, think this is different in peak times. Overall, fabulous stay. A little expensive but fully worth it for pure luxury and relaxation.
