Limpio, cómodo y bien ubicado. Personal amable y servicial.
Housekeeping was amazing.
My only complaint would be the hard beds and loud music behind the hotel.
5 minutes from downtown Valladolid
Nice, quiet very clean hotel. Free on-site parking. Just a 5 minute car drive to downtown Valladolid.
is was great time.
Place was do nice i extended my stay
Nice hotel! Friendly, kind, and welcoming female receptionist. Everybody made me feel welcomed and comfortable during my stay. Staff are constantly cleaning and the hotel is modern with great wifi.
Great comfortable hotel!
Nice modern clean hotel that is well kept by the staff. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Grounds are clean and tranquil. Food is cooked fresh to order. Lady at front desk and restaurant workers are extremely friendly. I would visit this hotel again in tbe future.
The amazing buffet breakfast was excellent, the pool was refreshing and loved walking around all the town!
Enjoyed the jacuzzi. Spacious and tasteful. Recommend!!
Hotel room was nice and clean. Bed was pretty hard. It's walkable into town but it's not real close & there's not good sidewalks. We booked the room with the hot tub but didn't read the details well enough and were disappointed to find it was actually a spa tub.
Short distance from main square but walkable. Restaurant on site serving off menu and buffet on weekends. Rooms are quiet with nice pool in courtyard. Would stay again if in the area. Can be busy in dining room on weekends for buffet as outside people come to dine.
It was nice but night time kids playing so loud.breakfast was so good.
We booked the room with the hot tub which was great! The room was clean, modern, bed extremely comfortable. Restaurant onsite is good. There's no safe in the room so that's an opportunity the hotel could add for improvement. The only downside I recall is the room was next to a busy street but I had earplugs so those solved that issue and slept really well!
Friendly atmosphere
Jason was friendly and provided information about surrounding areas. Hotels is about 20 min walking distance. Breakfast was homemade and decent. The only inconvenience was the flooding of the shower. Drainage was not properly drained.
Furniture in the bedroom was old. The bed was comfortable. No shampoo or body lotion in the room. Food was good.
Excellent stay and wonderful service
Location: Valladolid in general is small city and totally walkable. Takes 15 minutrs to get to hotel from main square or it costs roughly 30-35 pesos with taxi from the main square to hotel. Breakfast: very delicious and filling. Included eggs, pancake/waffle, fruits, bread, jam, coffee. Service: exceedingly attentive, polite and kind. They went above and beyond in even helping us with other non-hotel items we needed during our stay. Thanks to the boy at front desk, the young girl covering for him at night and the restaurant staff for making our stay feel special. Room: clean, private bathroom, includes TV, coffee/tea provided in the room, bed was very comfortable. Overall: highly recommend and would most definitely come back!
The rooms are much smaller than what they appear to be online. We asked for Larger room and they didn’t have one available which was ok. I was only laying in the bed for just a min and in that min, 5 ants crawled on me. Upon further inspecting of the room, we noticed a swarm of dead bugs all over the floor near the closet, and a few trail of ants in different areas of the room. We alerted the front desk and he apologized and tried to take action. He called the owners and the owners declined our request for a refund. He offered us a smaller room or two separate rooms which wasn’t going to work with our 6 and 10 year old child. We ended up leaving and staying elsewhere. We didn’t feel good about staying in any of the other rooms, Very disappointed and I would not recommend this hotel based on our first impression, our room and the way the owner handled this situation. They will probably have some crap excuse like that did with the other bad reviews. Don’t waste your time or money here. I hope the money you didn’t return to us was worth this bad review and others not visiting in the future
one night
stayed for one night, convenient location walking distance to downtown
Pictures are deceiving.
Our room was much smaller than pictured. Our "view" was of a propane tank behind a counter within the courtyard/restaurant area. The staff was friendly, but hard to find. We stayed one night, and I would not recommend any longer.
The best thing about this hotel, is the staff. Manager Jasson Loeza and his staff are incredibly helpful and pleasant. Jasson gave good advice on local travel. I am a vegan, and food choices were limited, but the staff were happy to make breakfast and dinner that was not exactly on the menu. It is a safe place to stay, some walking required to get to the main city area. There is a pool but no one really uses it. The only negative was , mosquitoes can get into the bedroom when the doors are left open for cleaning. I had to use a good amount of insect repellent to help. If you are planning to spend most of the day outdoors then this hotel does the job. The breakfast buffet is a bonus! Was a good stay.
Very good although we did not have hot water either day
Beautiful place very nice outside, excellent service
Overall nice enough for a short stay - location and room fine, pool area nice to sit around - but service very slow and breakfast disappointing (the ‘included’ breakfast is not the buffet).
Very pleasant traditional hotel.
Great authentic hotel
Great small hotel on west side of town. Downtown is only 5 min taxi ride (40mxn or 2usd). Included breakfast is nothing to brag but for 4usd per person you can get a very decent buffet. Overall, very authentic place with a lot of character. Room was slightly older but it is clean with great service. Averall great exerience, highly recommended
no water all night
Clean and modern with great breakfast.
Great little hotel to relax in after a day in Chien Itza. Pros: Clean, good amenities such as coffee maker, great breakfast, parking, nice comfy bed, modern room, good AC. Cons: Location wise it is a bit far from the center of the town. We had a car so this was not an issue for us.
The service was perfect, very nice staff
Nice and kind staff, very nice rooms, delicious food.
Nice causal stay.. priced right
We enjoyed our stay.. the service is over the top great. The food and the location great. The parking lot fills up at night, forced to park on the street. The beds are super firm to almost hard! Breakfast daily works perfectly.
Me encanto!
Its a nice place, but if you don't want to drive and still want to go out for dinner, book somewhere else. Downtown is kind of walking distance, but I would not walk it at night. The bathroom is big and nice, but water pressure is lacking, as hot water.
Sweet town and friendly hotel
Stayed in Valladolid in order to visit chichen itza. Valladolid is a super sweet little town for a one night stopover. The hotel was comfortable with friendly staff. We enjoyed the breakfast at the outdoor terrace. We booked the room with the hot tub - unfortunately the water isn’t warm so we couldn’t enjoy that one.
The place is great, service is excellent, clean but the bed was really uncomfortable
This is a very cute hotel. The service was great. I stayed at Casa Zaguan, a two bedroom. The house was clean and comfortable.
Okay place, good for the night
The town is very small so the stay options are limited. It was a good stay overall but the hotel was not impressive. Hot water took a long time to heat and water smell was weird. However, the place was clean and the staff extremely pleasant
The hotel is ok for the price. The staff was extremely friendly, it was clean, and the beds were pretty comfortable. However, it is a little too far away to walk places. You’d need some kind of vehicle. There was no warm water, and the WiFi strength was terrible. The food at the restaurant is pretty good with decent prices, but just be aware the kitchen closes at 3, so they don’t serve dinner.
Coffeemaker in the room or coffee in a lobby would have been nice. We came to shelter during a hurricane and all the shops and restaurants were closed...not having coffee was bad. Very small rooms. Pool is more like a large tub, but a family with children enjoyed it. Central location. Hotel is adequate for a short stay.
Travelers beware of front desk tour offers.
Travelers beware of the owner, he will try to to refer you to different tours and if you do not assist to those tours he will try to hold you liable and make you pay for them. Very bad experience, ugly rooms, not so friendly staff.
I loved this property! Staff was very friendly, and I enjoyed the food their restaurant offered.
Very clean...very friendly staff...food was good overall my stay was perfect
The room was amazing. Ask for the room with the pool. The staff very helpful, accommodating, friendly and attentive. The food is very good and inexpensive; you can find excellent coffee shops walking distance.
Close to Chichen Itza
Staying here got us to Chichen Itza in about 30 minutes. Also it was minutes away from different cenotes and the Ek Balam site. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, but the adjoining restaurant had decent dinner and breakfast options. The hotel was really quiet, somewhat smallish rooms, firm beds, decent ac, and off-street parking. One downside was its plunge pool which needed some servicing or better filtering. Would easily recommend this hotel if you're looking to beating the Coast and tour ship crowds to nearby sites.
All in all a good hotel for a very good price
Very friendly staff clean and cozy hotel, restaurant has delicious food
Great for drivers with earplugs
The rooms and pool area are pretty and the staff are SUPER nice. However, I wouldn't stay here again for a couple of reasons. Though the hotel is on a main road into the city, it's a long, hot, dusty walk to get to anywhere of interest. Almost every hotel and restaurant is close to the main square or on the other side of it. OK if you are driving, and of course there are plenty of taxis, but with so many more convenient places, I would pick one of them another time. The distance from town was particularly annoying as I found the hotel food ranged from just OK to pretty bad. You should also be aware that from any of the rooms, you will hear loud music from the restaurant all evening (til after 10.30) and sometimes from when breakfast starts too. I got little sleep and ended up with a migraine, missing a whole day of excursions, after an evening of pounding EDM.
Stylish, yet a little shabby hotel
Attractive, modern room - large comfortable bed, but not well maintained. Loose light switches, burned out bulbs and over-priced minibar. Pool could have been cleaner. In a residential area a ways from downtown. Not great value for money.
Good location, walking distance to centro, no free water in the room though
Super helpful staff. Can’t get any better for its price.
Good Experience Overall
Beautiful hotel.
Welcoming accommodations
This hotel of about a dozen rooms worked well for our one night stay. There was a pool in a nice setting outside our room. And we enjoyed two good meals in the welcoming restaurant on the premises. We had a heavy rain the night we stayed and there was a significant leak in our room which caused considerable water to run down one wall. The water was promptly dried up by the management and did not ruin our stay but the leak does prevent us from giving the place a 5-star rating. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again when we are in the area.
Good and clean! The hotel is underconstrction so not perfect
Nice hotel, small, yet, has everything that one could find for a long stay. Within walkable distance from downdown and places of interest. Comfy room.
Perfect!!
Very nice hotel close to all Yucatán has to offer.
Undoubtedly, we're going back!!!!
Words can't describe this hotel. Way better than any over-rated, over-priced hotel in the entire Yucatan Penninsula. Small, but yet, with every single thing you may need. We highly recommend this place.
Nice and quiet place to stay
Everything was great. Some little issues but staff was very helpful on taken care of them!
The pictures look nicer than actual, the Wi Fi is very slow
Pros and Cons
Everyone in the hotel staff was very nice, but the room we got needed maintenance and was not in condition to be rented out. Our first night there, the AC unit mounted to the wall above the bed frame was leaking. Because we checked-in on a Sunday night, it couldn’t be fixed right away and we ended up having to move the bed completely to the opposite wall in order to sleep without the water splashing on our faces. The second night, it rained and the ceiling started leaking a significant amount of water. We notified the staff and they quickly removed a puddle of water that had formed on the roof so the leaking stopped. This is, overall, a motel-level hotel in need of maintenance. The staff does get kudos for being attentive but if you’re looking to rest here, you may not be able to. Compared to what we are usually charged for a motel in the States, this was very affordable but when comparing it to the prices of other good hotels in México, this is very overpriced. We had breakfast there almost every day because their food is good and cheap, so that may be worth mentioning for those traveling on a budget.
Very enjoyable and comfortable boutique hotel. Nice outdoor dining.
Average
Our stay was pleasant. Staff was nice, and the place was very clean. But, after checking out other hotels while there, we found we could have spent the same, been closer to the center of town, and in a much nicer location.
Cozy hotel
Lovely little hotel slightly outside of city center. Each room has balcony-window and they are all in first floor with pool access. It was relaxing to sit by the pool. Room was clean. No hot water. A bit noicy at least on Friday night. I think there is a bar close by. Parking is convenient.
Nice affordable hotel not far from the center
We had a good experience in El Zaguan. The staff was very helpful and they did their best to understand our rudimentary Spanish. The hotel is located close to San Bernardino and not far from the town center (15-20min walk). We felt safe in this area. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. We would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an affordable yet pleasant place to stay in Valladolid. Also, their restaurant is pretty good. Everything we tried was delicious.
Avoid this place
Terrible place. Not so far from downtown but you have to cross a neighbourhood that is not very safe to walk downtown. So you have to take your car. This is also very noisy day and night it is really hard to sleep. When we arrive the bathroom was dirty with unknown yellow liquid on the toilet. We asked to get it cleaned, someone came to clean with no product just a rag. Fortunately we had baby wipes that we used to clean by ourselves. On the last day we had no hot water to take a shower. They also didn't refill the shower gel, water bottle and tissue box that day. We must have been too extensive customers!!! And finally the WiFi was disconnected every 5 minutes. Nobody speaks English which makes it even more difficult to solve assisting issues. If you can avoid this placer and try to find something closer to downtown.
Historic charm combined with friendly service
We totally enjoyed our overnight stay in Valladolid. The hotel ambience was lovely, and we especially appreciated the beauty of the colonial-style balconies off of the rooms overlooking the pool, with their exquisite hardwood French doors, and wrought iron railings. The room was clean, spacious, and filled with the expected accommodations as well as a few unexpected, such as the mini fridge, and beautifully wrapped hand soaps. The shower stall was a large and modernly stylish floor to ceiling tile design. A short walk down the street and across the road, we enjoyed a dinner of tacos and quesadillas that were homemade delicious and less than 10 pesos each. Short drive from Valladolid’s central plaza.
Beds are quite hard. Plumbing also needs attention.
Nice hotel with a nice
We enjoyed the room and sitting by the pool. It was a nice evening and very pleasant.
Near cenotes
I liked the hotel and the staff very friendly. The restaurant was clean and we received good service.
BED BUGS.
Worst hotel ever, I made the reservation the night before getting my plan was to go visit the pyramids in UXMAL spend the night in Valladolin and the next morning go to Chichen itza, I got there I was told my room was already given to some one else because no one check reservations online so I was given a different room, both Beds were completely covered with bed bugs we walk out within minutes i couldn't expose my kids and baby to the poor cleanliness I told the receptionist to come and look with his own eyes and he refused to do so all he said that never happened before and he was going to talk to his supervisor to call me and refund my money it never hapened, to make story short $55.00 to the trashe and lost my opportunity to go and visit chichen i tza.
Lovely decorated hotel, with great food available.
We arrived during a heavy storm and were very comfortable in our room. The beds were comfortable and the restaurant serves great food! Easy to reach Chichen Itza early the next morning.
Nice quiet boutique hotel
We loved this hotel. Nice outdoor area to sit a relax, cute pool, everywhere was really clean. The hotel itself is small with only a few rooms but that's why we liked it, it was perfect. The walk in to the main square took us around 15 minutes.
Fantastic Place
This place is pretty amazing. Small and cozy, but with all the amenities one needs. It's easy to find with a decent private parking lot. The building features a colonial architectural style which makes it very attractive. It's fairly close to several major attractions like cenotes (sink holes), Calzada de los Frailes (Royal Highway), San Bernardino de Siena Convent, and the city downtown, which is gorgeous. Service is fantastic and staff really make everything possible so one can enjoy the place. It features a small swimming pool which is nice after a long, hot day. Great choice if you are in the area. Enjoy!
Close to ferry and everything!
Nice character hotel near everything especially the ferry. No need to take a golf cart taxi to this one!
Nice, small, peaceful hotel
Enjoyed the stay, friendly staff, good restaurant
Good place, quiet and relaxed atmosphere
Just make sure you wear insect repellent around Valladolid, liked the fact that it has free parking a/c worked great, very cute small cozy hotel
One night stay and it was fabulous
Smaller rooms but great ambience. Staff were friendly it's in a gray part of town on the outer rim so your not in the midst of the hustle and bustle. Would definitely go back.

wonderful
happy stay
friendly staff, clean rooms, great service, food in restaurant delicious and great service.
Beech Lee's Bees tour of Mexico.
Just an overnight stop. Hotel was clean. Staff were friendly.
Cute hotel and friendly staff!
Hotel was cute and staff was great! I suggest taking ear plugs as doors are not very sound proof. Perfect for a quick stay!
A Nice Stopover Hotel
Hotel was clean, staff was pleasant. Pool was cold and could have been cleaner. Restaurant was fair, waiter didn't know what to do. This was a good stopover for one night on the way to other destinations.
Muy bonita habitación, superó nuestras expectativas
Me encantó
Excelente hotel
Adoramos a nossa estada no hotel. Todos os funcionários foram muito atenciosos. A limpeza estava impecável.

Needs to be renovated
Nothing positive about this hotel. Everything was bad. From the front desk, to the condition of the room, to the old worn out towels. This place leaves much to be desired and a complete renovation. Zero stars!!!!!
