It’s a lovely cheerful cosy property, with basic amenities but exceptional clean and a very comfortable bed. Prince the host was a gentleman very friendly and welcoming
Very clean and comfortable. Good Wi-Fi. Somewhat remote location in residential neighborhood. Few nearby restaurants. 2.5 miles to closest beach. Prices in Antigua are higher than San Francisco or New York City. Reasonable cost. Daily housekeeping by Jasmine, a very friendly person.
Not a bad location. Online payment wasn't processed. Owner charged more at the property including a 5 percent card processing fee. No water in bathroom in bedroom. Used the main bathroom. No warm water. Average accommodation.
Property was clean spacious, white bed linen & towels were also very clean and soft, comfortable pillows but no restaurant or cafeteria near by to have a drink or breakfast. There was no complementary tea or coffee one could have on arrival or in the morning. If you are going to this property and will need a drink please remember to pack your tea, coffee & coffee mate 😕😊 as you can’t just pop round the corner for a drink. Property manager Prince was very pleasant, helpful and kind. Oh and remember your two pin adapter (flat pin) to change your phone if required. Would I stay there again yes if I can have my tea/coffee & breakfast in the morning 😁.
AVOID!! Hotel Charged Me Twice
The owner charged my credit card twice for a single booking! The booking was listed as payment to be made directly to the hotel. They took the full payment at the time of booking. They then put a hold charge of the full amount on my card again at the time of check in and when I checked out they processed the payment. So I have paid twice for the same booking. I also paid for an airport transfer at the time of booking but I waited for 45 minutes at the airport and nobody arrived and they would not return this payment either.
It was a very good stay overall I’ll be back❤️❤️
Eco
They tried to take payments way too early after it stated that you could pay on arrival. Trying to cancel the stay was an absolute nightmare! The place had security like a jail house with keys for every room including the toilet and shower, and this is a fire hazard! especially for leaving and entering the property. The rooster and hens across the road added to the stress with their constant clucking and crowing. However it was situated in a good location.
It was cute and cozy.
Property is clean and nice but based on the time I arrived I had to check myself in,which wasn't the best experience. Overall the facility is very clean and comfortable.
While the place was clean it was most definitely not what expected. It's a house with 3 bedrooms, kitchen toilet and bath which means you've booked just a small bedroom barely able to move around and you have to share the bathroom and everything else with all the other renters. Not ideal at all
Great facility; clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay. Great hospitality!
Only about the surrounding noise, it could be justified by the location right into the city. But the biggest problem is that YOU GET MUCH LESS THAN ADVERTIZED. We booked for "a studio, including complete bathroom and a private kitchenette".That was a lie ! This place has 3 bedrooms, two of them each with a small fridge and small micro-waves (like any bedroom has elsewhere), that SHARE a common kitchen with no dining table, but just a narrow counter instead. There is a picnic table outside; but under bad weather, you end sitting on your bed with your plate on your hands. And concerning the "complete bathroom", it's rather an added glass cubicle of 1,5 m2 with a toilet and a shower that splashes all around. We met other guests whith similar complaints about having found NOT WHAT THE PLACE ADVERTIZES. Antigua-and-Barbuda offers plenty of nice accomodations, managed by honest owners. But steer clear from that EKO-COZY reef !
I love it so much ❤️
Its clean quiet and they have options on where to stay staff are super friendly safe i recommend this guess house
Absolutely the Bed!!! Prince was a Fantastic Host! As we entered into the doors we noticed how clean it was. There after we saw the amazing ceiling fan along with a AC and beautiful colours inside the unit. The bed was sooo comfortable. We would definitely Stay there again and assure anyone that likes a extremely clean place and a great bed Eko Cozy Guest House is the Place 💯
Pleasant Stay
Had a pleasant stay. I appreciated the owner's diligence in maintaining a clean environment. Also, the owner was responsive to any arising issue which wasn't many. The homes' location was within walking distance of the places that I wanted to visit. Walking distance to the heart of the tourist area but wear decent shoes for walking. The only negative were the locks, of which there were three and none were marked so it was always trial and error until I memorized which key belonged to which lock.
Antigua Business trip
Overall was a good accommodation, friendly owner, description of multiple beds needs to be precised that you have to pay for the extra bed in the room ! Owner also has a car rental so we rented with him one-time. Location was very close to everything we needed to visit downtown for Our business trip. I would stay again.
Prince the owner made the stay a Regal one
Traveler Mucho.
For the money, very well located and safe.
Good enough, for a quick layover.
Very poor costumer service....booked my room, received itinerary and multiple welcome emails......when i got to my destination I was held back by immigration, stating that they called Eko Cozi and they said I don't have a reservation there.....They later stated that my credit card did not go through.....BLATANT LIE!!!! FIRST OF ALL I DID NOT USE A CREDIT CARD...I used my Bank card Savings Account, which had more than enough funds for the said transaction.....The amount of inconvenience this establishment put me through yesterday.....I will not in the near or distant future do any business with them or refer anyone to do so.....
Red flags all over. Don't go if you want silence
#1 The owner overcharged me and threatened to throw me out during check-in, if I continue to scrutinize on this topic. He even didn't want to solve the issue during the 6 weeks since the reservation. If he would given me the option to cancel beforehand and get the refund, I would have taken it immediately, but he played dead until the day of check-in. He knows what he is doing. #2 Evening noise. If you want a quiet sleep, don't go there. The house is in a street with loud music until midnight every single day. #3 Morning noise. Right across the street, 10 meters from the house, is a small chicken farm with roosters starting to crow at 4am until 8am every 5-10 seconds right outside your window. Also, every single day. Earplugs don't help! (see the picture in attachment, on left the chicken farm, on right the accommodation) #4 The room does not contain a kitchen as advertised in the available room equipment, instead, this place is a house with several rooms and all share the same kitchen. For this setting, the accommodation is totally overpriced. #5 The room is too bright at night #6 You need to unlock 4 gates and doors until you're in the room. Same on the way out. And the owner is watching security cameras all day long. As I was once jumping over the small half-meter gate as I was in a hurry, I got contacted by Whatsapp that it's not allowed to jump over the fence. #7 The owner makes rules which are not listed in the advertisement. For example, no visitors are allowed.
Good place , comfortable , great service! Very hospitable! Thank you!
High tech design bathroom. Wonderful knowledgeable host and assistant from whom you can learn a great deal about the country.
Heads up
Wonderful
Management..not helpful
Horrible!!! Scary!!! Nothing like the photos. Got there and they didn’t have a room for me. The guy was rude and left me stranded without a room. The location is horrible!! I am a solo traveler and don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Not having a room after I had a confirmed reservation was scary. I am a solo traveler and this was a first ever horrible booking with Expedia. Getting to the hotel and not having a room and the attendant being super rude. Never again! Don’t book this place
HE LEFT ME STRANDED WITH MY 5 YR OLD DAUGHTER!! Overall service was horrible.. i boooked through expedia and when i got there i had troubke finding the place, when i found it no one was there. Called all three numbers and no one would pick up nor respond for almost an hour later, when he did he is telling me that my card disnt go through so he did not prepare the room.. instead he reach out to me via email the same way he did when he said he would pick me up at the airport. He just did nothing and said nothing. I got there and was stranded with my 5 year old daughter in a place id never been before.
It was clean. Poor communication, you cannot get immediate responses, no return of calls, but will get a message some time after to say will call you back, but never happen. If you're accustomed to your freedom, here is not the place to stay. You have to lock the gate whenever you leave and return, almost like prison setting.
This property is not what it shows on Expedia. It says a King Bed but I was informed that it in fact was not which I was okay with. Expedia told me I had to pay 72.68 at the property, I was in fact charged 92 because of some additional fees which are not stated on Expedia. At this location you share a kitchen and bathroom which again is not stated. If I wanted a shared space I could have booked one for 35 a night. Not only is it shared you are not allowed visitors, which again is not stated on Expedia. This was a terrible experience and the owner takes no responsibility for the fact that none of this is stated on Expedia and it is wrong. All he said was that this is a non refundable room and we can stay or not. Terrible. I would not recommend this place.
Staff friendliness and hospitality
Prince and Chinora were great hosts. They were incredibly hospitable, and easy to get a hold of on Whatsapp. I stayed here with my brother for two nights. The room was very charming. The shower and bathroom were in the same small pod sort of thing...I thought it was a cool and efficient use of space, my brother didn't like it as much. Not a big deal. We had a mini fridge, plates, cups and silverware, and there was a shared kitchen. The fridge and stove weren't on, however, so we used the microwave. There is small porch out front and a back patio with a picnic table. There are only two rooms here, and they were overbooked our first two nights. So we were put in a room at a sister property (Denyse Home Cottages). Denyse was also a great host, but it was not as nice and the location was not as convenient. I understand these things happen, but it was a bit inconvenient since we were only on the island for 4 nights. Prince will provide pick up at the airport for $15 (maybe $20), and we were picked up at no charge since we were sent to the other property, which was appreciated. COVID rapid antigen tests were available for $125 each so we were able to get those the day before we returned to the US. We enjoyed our time here and thought it was good value for the price. Thanks, Prince!
You get what you pay for and no more. The staff take your stay there personally. Your in the hood, nothing tourist oriented around. No nice resturants or bars or cafes to hang out or start your day at. Lots of cheep stores around to get your every day needs. Nothing is open on sunday. Loud gospel preaching and music all Sunday afternoon. Lots of dogs and roosters and crikets all morning day and night.
House comes with transport. A car picks you up at airport arrivals exit door with name on a board. This is offered for a small fee 40 xcd (~15usd). Eko house has additional services, offering taxi service around the island at reduced rates and rental cars! Great place, in town. Great to experience the real island life, embedded within the people! Everyone’s so nice! Some shy but most very outgoing / friendly!! Our host Chinoir is amazing. There’s nothing she can’t do!!
Owner was not forthcoming with information and simply ignored attempts to reach out to him both via calls and messages
Positives: Prince was great. He makes a delicious $13 breakfast each morning, and gives a great $150 tour of the island. He also arranged to have a covid testing doctor come to the house to test us for $150 each for the return flight to the US. Negatives: None of these are Prince's fault, so I'm not blaming him, but the air conditioning only works about a third of the time, there was also a one hour complete power outage, and the wifi only works well enough to watch videos about half the time. As you might notice from the above quoted prices, Antigua is not cheap. 1 Bedroom condominiums here go for $200k with a waiting list of ten buyers.
Overall service was very good, got picked up at the airport
Different than expected, but good
Ended up staying at a different residence due to storm damage but the process was easy and well-managed and I enjoyed my stay
Did not stay here because someone claiming to work there contacted me by text message (not through hotels.com) seeking my credit card information. Looks like a scam to me.
The place is 5 mins walk to the center of Saint John’s, the room was very large with a/c and I think it’s a bargain for the price. Prince was very accommodating and friendly.
It was pre arranged that the accommodation would be at a location different to what was displayed on the website. The inside was clean and organized. However, I was disappointed with the property because it was shed or side room in a private yard. I was expected a guest house setting. No way I would have booked if I knew all the details. If I wanted to stay in someone private yard then I would have booked on ABIB. In my opinion this property should not be advertise as a guest house. Its is not. The environment was quiet but not a regular bus route. However, bus come early morning and late evening. You may need to request a taxi to take you around. Be careful and find out the government prices before jumping in. Was quoted some different prices to travel the same distance. Despite my disappointment the owner was friendly and hence my stay was ok. I wouldn't booked this private side room again. The photos of property actually displayed on the website was well displayed as it shows mostly the inside. The few photos of the outside did not give an accurate representation of what its actually is. No way one could tell it was just an individual house. It is a two bedroom private house and not an actual guess house. It is cleaned and well fence. Sadly, its locatated is an ghetto environment. Simply put it as a new car in the middle of a garbage hip. So sad. Wish it was at a different location.
The manager was so kind during my stay and helped me all the time regarding guiding me through the city. I am so glad to meet them and will definitely consider staying again the next time.
I have booked the following: Expedia travel confirmation - Mon, Jun 17. - (Itinerary # 7444150150841) Eko Cozy Guest House Fiennes Street, St. John's Antigua and Barbuda Total $108.30. However, the owner relocated another guest house Denyse Home Cottage Ixoria Cres, Cassada Gardens The house is far away from my booked guest house. Although, I have paid the room fee by cash. I must express my anger about this owner. I ask you to punish this owner and compensate my paid room fare Total $108.30.
Great place - great people
I was looking for a one night B&B and this was a great place. It was peaceful friendly clean (spotless). I was very pleased to have found the Eko Cozy Guest house and would recommend it
Prince did take care about his property. Facilities were in their top conditions. Airport pickup and drop off were seamless. Room was quite with air conditioning. However there were mosquitos when I first moved into room. Probably they found their way in during housekeeping. Room deposit was made through later communications, rather than instantly when I booked it on Expedia.
Nice quite clean n tidy. Friendly staff. Highly reccomended
They overbooked and i had to find somewhere to stay when i got there
The property is nice and inviting, you feel at home there.
First they missed our checkin, We called
