Great 3 night stay. 2 adults and 1 teen had the 2 bedroom unit. Good clean facilities and very close to town for food and bar options. Would stay again. Thank you.

Dunedin stay

Good location, walkable, but very steep hill to go up. Going down was great. Not far from the Octagon and casino. Loved having a hot tub, as we did a lot of walking.

We arrived at 7.15 pm on Wednesday checked out today at 8.30 am never saw a receptionist the entire time reception only open 1 pm to 7 pm what poor hours met a lovely cleaner who was able to change paper money into coins for the guest laundry a very soulless place on a road with businesses on it pictures very very deceptive imo

Great room. We reserved a room with a living room and a bedroom. The bed was so so comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure. Everything was perfect.

Had an enquiry when we got home asking if we had mistakenly taken the TV remote which of course we had not. But it almost makes you feel like they thought you flogged it.

A bit of road noise

Great motel, great location

We arrived later in the evening, which we had advised the property about and our room key was in the lockbox. Unfortunately we entered the room, no heating or lights had been left on. The room was very cold with only a small panel heater located by the doorway. Therefore the room stayed very cool all night, and there was no heating in the bedroom other than the electric blanket on the bed. There was even a sign in the bathroom advising the bathroom heater could not be run for a long time as it would cause an issue with the smoke alarm. This indicates to me a lot of people have struggled to warm the unit. I was also disappointed to discover the fridge was not on and no milk have been provided for a hot drink. It was advantageous to have free carpark on site, just bare in mind if you have a large vehicle that the parks are compact.

Very tidy and clean with good amount of space in the living/bedroom and bathroom very spacious & clean. Would definitely recommend and if required would stay again.

Having two bedrooms and a spacious lounge/kitchen.

Our only complaint is our showers were all only luke warm. When we exited the shower we had to turn the heater on to warm up before dressing. Also having reception closed at check out time ensures you can't be told of any issues hence this review which I hate to do.

Had 2 x staff members stay for the night who said it was clean and tidy, in a good location, staff were friendly, but the beds were uncomfortable and the WiFi wasn't any good for working until 10pm (maybe when everyone else got off it).

Enjoyed our overnight stay at this Hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and modern. Spacious with a good kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great! Highly recommend.

Rooms were clean and modern was just disappointed that the 3 rooms I booked couldn’t have been further apart from each other.

I would highly recommend The Palms Dunedin. The rooms were spotlessly clean beds very comfortable. Staff very friendly and receptionist was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay there next time I am in Dunedin great location.

Perfect location. Studio was fabulous and spacious. 1 double bed then settee bed and single bed in lounge area.

Very clean, comfortable. Furnishings and room in very good condition. Windows were of very good quality and when closed, you could not hear the busy street noise right outside the window.

We arrived late and were able to let ourselves in with the key left in the lockbox. There was no one there when we checked out, so we left the keys in the Dropbox. This arrangement was fine with us because we did not need anything, but if traveling alone it could have been a bit unsettling.

Was a great stay, only downside was staying below very noisy people who were stomping & making heaps of noise until 3am which disrupted my sleep as i had to drive 4 hours to get home that morning. Other than that, it was great and id definitely come back.

Bed was so uncomfortable, tv didnt work, coffee plunger was still full of old coffee and no air conditioning.

It was close to town. The rooms were smaller than expected and only enough room for 1 person in spa bath. The bed was small and very soft and had the dip in middle. Felt like i was sleeping uphill. We were disappointed and would not stay again.

Conveniently located - can walk to the city centre. The motel is well taken care of, is clean and comfortable.

Easy efficient quick check in, key handed over as I had already paid, parking pointed out then done.... Well presented and very well cleaned room. Will look to use this place now when in Dunedin.

Our stay was good but the windows need block out curtains as it was to light for sleeping and the blinds did not go down completely to the window sill. No ashtrays for smokers at designated smoking area. Other than that was a good place to stay.

The owners/staff were very friendly and accomodating. We were upgraded with no hesitation because of an issue with our room (not a fault of the owners) Walking distance to the city and free parking on site. Approx half an hour drive from the airport. Would stay here again

The staff was brilliant, the surroundings very poor and I didnt feel safe, specially when is dark.

Staff were great during check in. Friendly and welcoming. Also helped me extend my stay due to weather. Clean modern property. Will definitely be staying there when I next visit Dunedin.

Shower head is only about 165cm from the ground and the space is small so if you are taller than this it is very difficult to shower. Water pressure was terrible.The bed sagged and was like sleeping on a trampoline...

The parking abit tight especially down ramp. But otherwise algd.

The manager went out of her way to help us even when we locked ourselves out of our room at midnight

Fantastic location and staff were great at communicating how I could check in since I arrived outside typical check in hours.

The Palms Motel is conveniently located and has parking. Rooms are immaculate and the staff are pleasant to deal with. Very comfortable accommodation.

This was a great place to stay, easy to find, good parking, very clean and comfortable. reasonably priced and the staff very friendly, would definitely recommend.

Disappointed with the check in. I called a week before to confirm the booking and the manager took my email address to send check in details but failed to do so. I called at 7pm to say our flight was delayed and we would arrive at 930. No answer. When we arrived we couldn’t access the lock box so called the help number which rang out 3 times and was not answered. With no option left we knocked on the managers door to be greeted by a rude and angry lady who was less than welcoming. There won’t be a next time !!

Great place with great staff

I thought it was great value for money. Felt clean and tidy, spacious. Liked that it had another tv in the separate bedroom. Only thing that would have made our stay better is to be greeted and goodbyes in person rather than through the intercom. Otherwise great venue and close to City.

We were in Dunedin with our two Grandchildren as the eldest had a swimming meet. We did have time for some sight seeing

Great handy place to stay

ROOM 222 is very noisy, ask for a room at the back. Toilet smelt of urine. It is conveniently close to town.

Friendly reception staff and nice spacious clean room that we added a fourth guest to due a flight cancellation. They also kindly put a hold the room for us with the distinct possible of another weather related flight delay, that luckily didn't eventuate.

This is a consistently very good place to stay in the hart of the city but in a good quiet location and easy to walk to most places in the city
