What a great place to stay. Handy having a great pub across the road for meals. Staff, especially Natasha, went above and beyond to make our stay great. Thanks. Deb Carey

Good quality, clean bedding and fantastic water pressure in the large shower. Nice and quiet, with a little balcony area at the rear overlooking a pretty decent lawn area. Room could have done with an air out prior to arrival, but was relatively clean and a good size unit. Tv wasnt going, but we couldn't be bothered ringing the staff to sort it, and used the free wifi to stream a movie on our devices instead. (Staff are friendly, and when I informed them about tv in the morning, they said we could have rung and they would have sorted it) Aircon comfort, and a small kitchenette make it a homely stay.

Wet floor

Location was convenient for what we were doing in South Auckland. Sunday morning noise was not too bad but would be noisy during the week right on the roadside. Was clean and tidy but needed some maintenance. The biggest thing was there was no tea bags (only green tea) and silly sachets of milk!!

Average was my overall rating as its age that gives the impression of being outdated worked against a higher rating.

Presentation of lodge very poor. Grass hanging out of spouting. Needs sprucing up. Obviously they cater for WINZ, as i was practically abused by a woman who was in our carpark. We paid for a deluxe suite. Yeh right, curtains didn't draw across properly, carpet pulled away from lino. Skirtings with paint missing. It was a budget room not a deluxe suite! Small holes in sheets. I didn't actually feel safe. Could hear the 'Winz" clients with raised voices in other rooms. I wouldn't be going back any time, but it was close to where we needed to be.

sounds like the neighbours we in my room with me till late. then the truck noise started. great place to stay if you remember your ear plugs

We had a event at Papakura and found it very convenient and easy to get there. Very clean and bed comfy

The cord for the microwave was broken and only had half a cover on it. Mold in the shower and left over lid from the previous person who used the shampoo, body wash stuff left in the shower caddy and still left in there. No tea towel or cloth in the kitchenette area so I could dry my dishes. There was obviously a planned power outage as the pub across the road had a notice up but the motel did not inform us.

I would like dishcloth,paper towels and teatowels as required and sufficient milk thanks.

Great spot just south of Auckland . Got into room way early . Right opposite is a fantastic pub for great food and drinks .

Needs to have spare blankets in cupboard for queen bed.. no electric blanket on it either.. bathroom in need of TLC..was handy to a pub over the road..bonus.

Had to request batteries for television and air con remotes Exit sign inside room very bright

Comfortable, well cleaned. Eating utensil like can opener unworkable. Had trouble operating television. Only one remote provider where two was reqiuired. Had to fiddle with set to get it to work

It was near where we were staying and suited our requirements.

No complaints at all overall was a pleasant stay

We only had 1 towel and 1 flannel to share between 2 people. The wifi was bad, room was dirty, needed a vaccum and the sheets on the bed had someone’s hair still in it, obviously cleaners didn’t clean the room. The room smelt of sewage , it’s like a pipe was burst or the drain was blocked, left the windows open and still didn’t help with the smell. Power was cut in the morning and took over an hour to switch back on, resulted in fridge leaking and we weren’t even allowed to get extra towels to clean the mess. Will not be staying here again.

It was reasonable for the price. Kind and friendly service person.

My first time there really nice place clean fresh towels everyday me and my partner really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely book it again.

Handy to where we wanted to stay for the night. The single bed was soft and comfortable. Ran out of toilet paper and no spare roll to be found

Room was very clean, beds were comfortable and it had a nice bathroom. Unfortunately someone had drawn a lewd drawing on the back of the wardrobe door that would have been hard for staff to miss and noone had bothered to remove.

Room was not clean I stayed two nights and the only thing they did was add 2 towels to the room nothing else was done . Not worth the money

Location n clean

Staff tried to tell us we weren’t booked in even when we showed then the booking. Eventually worked out we did have a booking. The room was rather battered for example the bathroom door didn’t close, the bath was sealed with duct tape and there were chips out of the walls

The room was clean & Tidy. Would suggest putting a mirror in main room as no power point in Bathroom for doing Hair. But overall for Price it was good

Lovely large room with great facilities

Room was simple enough for an overnight stay.

Nice big room,good cooking facilitys,convenient area for our pick up point for our job.

Safety.Dining chairs need to be more comfortable with soft padding. Otherwise pleasant time there.

Sliding door to bathroom can off three times. Kitchen cabinet door hanging on one hinge.

Great location if you need to break up a long car journey, as close to motorway and friendly pub directly across road for an evening meal. Unit was clean and tidy. Check-in seamless and staff very welcoming. All was great til we went to bed. Unfortunately, there is a complete lack of noise proofing between units. Woken throughout the night by constant coughing from one very unwell guest above, audible conversations from the unit next door and guests shifting luggage or furniture around in the unit above us. Vehicles are parked directly in front of units so cars coming and going throughout the night also created disruption. We checked out before 7am. Avoid booking a ground level unit, unless you’re a very heavy sleeper or have ear plugs. It was a Thurs night, so I imagine it’s even louder on weekends when more guests are in.

People up stairs were loud and stomping around kind of annoying but other than that it was a good stay

The only thing was the pillows were rubbish but that is just a very small thing. Overall the place was lovely and will definitely go there again

The staff were lovely. I didn't like the fact that the stairway entrance wasnt closed off from the room so that was just odd. Getting a bit old but standard good provisions provided. Did the job for a quick night over....

Suits our travel when heading South easy to get off and on the motorway lovely accommodation and great dining across the road at JollyFarmer Murphys best lamb shanks meal there for ahot meal tauke!

It was easy access from the motorway and it met my needs for the duration of my stay.

Comfortable unit in convenient location.

My husband and I were in an upstairs unit which had been renovated. It was very comfortable with a king size bed, kitchenette facilities and a good size bathroom. It would have been good to have a soap dish in the shower and a hook in the bathroom. It is in a very convenient location across from the Jolly Farmer pub and walking distance from cafes and a few shops.

We have stayed here many times and it is very convenient.Only problem is it is only partly updated. New kitchen, carpet, needs a new shower and certainly new bed. So uncomfortable and only one cheap pillow with no substance each. No spares.

the property is well placed, a few minutes off the motorway. the room was nice and tidy, the stairs to the room were steep and narrow, but overall quite satisfactory.

What was offered to me is not what I paid for but I don’t have energy to discuss this with hotel because I was so tired. No blanket, no tv remote, sky remote not working in fact it was a hell of staying.

Very spacious rooms. Clean and tidy but could do with an upgrade in bathroom. Overall friendly check in and check out.

The unit was well appointed and very clean although the furnishings were all mismatched. The down side was the noise from the unit above us. Parking was a problem as the property was full and many units had more than one vehicle..

It was nice an relaxing at this property,mean i would go back again to stay....

Okay but could’ve been better service

We booked three rooms for the family and one of them was separated from the other two. They should’ve been all next to each other for convenience Also reception didn’t know where the nearest ATM machine could be found.

In short it was very noisy as we were in a downstairs unit and there didn’t appear to be any noise insulation from the stairs and the flooring from the upstairs unit. We could hear the shower running as if it was in our room. Next time we stay we will ask for an upstairs unit. Other than that it was a good stay.

Convenient situation. Needs a new bathroom and a lot of modernisation

Good location for our requirements. Building is showing it's age in places however, the opperator's are updating and refurbishing which was evident. Great size rooms and no road noise. Sky TV. I would stay at this place again!

A very tired and dated place. Actually had duct tape along the bathtub edge, as caulk had failed (I guess). Bed was too soft, but clean. We needed to stay in this area for one night, and it was adequate for our needs.

Hotel very convenient location and easy to get into Papakura and Takanini. Only feedback would be need power point in bathroom or mirror in lounge area near power point for hairdryer.

Dated but fine

Stayed one night the bed was so comfortable, shower had pressure which was nice, road out the front was not noisy at night.

This property has had its 'day'. It is a very tired Lodge and needs a complete moderation. Poor lighting, plug by bed either doesn't work or the lightbulb in lamp needing replacing. To say something positive the beds were comfortable and warm. Tea towel never replaced on second day and if we didn't have one of our own what would we dry dishes with? Won't ever be staying again.

I was very pleased with the help the owner gave me with my booking. He went the extra mile to accommodate us. Motel room was spotlessly clean and all amenities worked well. Would be happy to stay again.

Although a little dated it suited our needs. The bed was comfortable. We arrived a few hours earlier for checkin and the person who checked us in and other members of family in different units couldn’t be more obliging. Very friendly and top service in checking in and checkout. Lovely people, would stay again. Our stay was for two nights.

The hand basin plug did not hold the water in the hand basin and needs adjusting. It was disappointing there was no power point for electric shavers in the bathroom.

I didnt stay at the Drury Motor Lodge because I accidently double booked . I was able to cancel one booking but not the second booking.

This motel was so clean it was spotless, shower was a little temperamental. Takeaways just a 2 min walk down the road or restaurant on other side of road. Would totally recommend it! Free wifi too always a bonus

Comfy motor lodge

We arrived after midnight and left by 8am the following morning. The beds are comfortable and room was clean. The place is a little tired but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. A bit noisy with Great South road at front and Southern Motorway at the back.

Fawlty Towers in NZ. This motel should be a two star rating maximum. Check in staff were not helpful at all when I asked about meals. The room was old and very tired. The armchair was so tatty it looked like it had come from the dump. The bed should have been thrown out ages ago. The pillows were like slabs of concrete. The towels were scratchy. People upstairs were very noisy. No coffee plunger, only one variety of tea and no fresh milk. The wi-fi was really slow for an hour then stopped completely. I phoned reception twice to no avail. I have stayed in over 18 motels in the last 18 months and this would be the worst experience ever.

Room was disgusting as was the bed and pillows. Windows would not work. The place was not fit for one of your listings, especially at the rental price. We are ina much better spot tonight at two thirds of the rate. Absolutely disgusting

Only here for one night room was very clean sky and free internet easy to access had air conditioner that was a relief extremely hot day and yep heavy traffic going pass but that's what you get on the main drag. Awesome pub/restaurant opposite motel, partner and i will definitely be coming back

We enjoyed our stay there. Has all amenities for our two day stopover. Will definitely go back on next trip to Auckland.

Lovely stay.

Perfect for one night. A little outdated but this didn’t effect how comfortable and clean the room was. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I wouldn’t definitely stay again, thanks for a great stay.

Over priced in need of repairs and a decent paint. A lot of exposed pipe work. Very old shower units.
